location---beautiful historic North Adelaide region with wonderful restaurants, nice parks, and historic buildings. They renovated it replacing the beautiful native plants with the alien plants. No birds visit now. It has a sterile plastic feel to it. They replaced the kitchenettes with a limited range of appliances--no toaster. The art is in poor taste.
None. 1. No telephone in the room. 2. Side table, tissue box, guest directory booklet covered with thick dust. 3. Access card malfunction easily resulted inconvenience to customer who have to walk back and forth between the reception counter and the Majestic Minima Hotel just to have the access card reprogram. 4. Failed to do self-checkin upon arrival of hotel.
Good location - quiet, but with a few restaurants nearby and a short, pleasant walk to city centre (also good bus services just outside the door) TV fitted to the wall at above head height - a personal hate this generally - I find it uncomfortable to be looking up all the time. This was actually one of the worst I've ever seen and almost made me de-rate the hotel overall - as it was I was out quite a bit and/or jet-lagged/sleeping, so the benefit of the doubt given. For reference, the TV was so high up I could only really watch TV comfortably while lying on the bed - not while sitting.
Location - fantastic food area
Value for money.
Ease of location to all attractions, restaurants and was all that was required for the weekend. Great hotel
Close to cafe's and shops. The room I had recently the bathroom was a lot bigger which was fantastic
The lack of staff is what I do not appreciate. The lack of a restaurant or bar means I will not use this hotel again.
clean and reasonably new rooms were way too small. Not even able to open up suitcase and check in did not work
The location of the hotel was great, would stay there again purely on just that reason. And we felt safe and secure there. Two singles pushed together is not a real king size bed. There wasn't enough milk in the fridge. The idea that you have to pay $8 everytime you drive into the parking is a joke! Didn't feel right not being able to see a single staff member for the whole two nights. Shouldn't have to walk another hotel to get a map of the city. The foxtel channels were crap.
Ease of checking in. Not knowing where to out the card at the end of our stay?
It was very good for $99 per night. Hindley St very convenient precinct. It is a noisy street on a Friday night, so light sleepers may not want a room facing Hindley Street.
the location street noise
That we were in walking distance to shops, zoo etc
I liked the location very much as it was central to many restaurants and transport. The room was basic and similar to many motels but clean and comfortable. The flat screen television was a bonus as many hotels still have tiny 34cm units in their rooms. the staff were efficient and polite.
close to the city centre and fairy good price.
Central to activity I thought that breakfast was included in price but was not. Street noise was loud Friday night Bed was not very good sagged into middle
Location and price The bathroom needs and update otherwise it was perfect
close to centre - good old comfort
Central location. Reasonable price The street is very 'lively' at night and the sound insulation on the windows is poor so this hotel is not recommended if you are after a quiet hotel or do not have ear plugs!
We stay there when we have overnight doctor appointments approx every 3 mths The TV didn't have a signal tuesday night or wed morning. Was working ok tuesday before dinner. A problem with all the units I believe. Storms in the area.
Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, quiet location away from city centre, local facilities and shops. original booking for 2 nights and extended to 3. Only down side was the pool was undergoing refurbishment so was not available.
great location room serviced on time every day restaurant attached for your convenience.
Quiet More information in rooms about meals and room service
The room was roomy, they're undergoing some upgrades, and a second room that I have now stayed in is similar to Holiday Inn style rooms, with most of the essential facilities when business traveling. They're about 25-30min out of the city by bus, but faster if you don't use public transport - I was happy with the 25--30min. There are some amenities around the corner, with a new mall being upgraded just up the road. Love the friendly staff, and that it was functional for me to stay there - and everything worked! The travel in/out of town by bus did get a bit combersome, but I was prepared for it, before having to stay in some of the places closer to the city where things just didn't work. I will be back!
It was peaceful, comfortable, warm and friendly
Very very dirty, I stay there for 1 night in a standard room, when we opened the door, we were shocked to see the dirty stain every where-from carpet to the celling, the toilet bowel is black, the door ,the carboad are broken and roughly glued. the inset killer store with the tea, coffee...it is awful managed motel I never see in Australia before, I do not know how they got 3 star rating. I won't go there anymore. non
Very quiet, well-equipped room. Excellent value for Australia Drapes torn; need to tighten doorframe in wall to reduce air conditioning noise.
The door had large grease marks all over it .The tiles were cracked in the shower and bathroom area .There was a cover missing from one of the taps in the shower. The room was certainly not deluxe
easy to get to great location for city visits, quiet, clean and very reasonable price. only there to sleep so didn't use any facilities available to us.
Great location close to city, with parking. Room and linen spotlessly clean with all amenities. Bathroom and shower excellent. Air conditioning great. A very comfortable nights sleep.
It wasn't terribly good but being in the lower end price-wise, you only get what you pay for.
the location close to Carick Hill, close to city, close to Burnside Village, friendly staff, very helpful lack of comfort, no door between spa and toilet/shower room, no possibility to have daylight in room, otherwise no privacy due to the lack of a sheer curtain, bad TV reception, bad lighting
Location was superb, affordability was great, staff were polite and always smiled. Rooms looked great on first glance. The pool was out of service during a heat wave. There was water flowing from behind the tiles over grit into our spa. The skirtings were very dusty. It was a room for 2, but we only had 1 set of cutlery. We had coffee and a kettle and no spoons. And our power point fuse blew twice.
Good breakfast & clean pool Room needs repair, hole in carpet from when last stayed there 4 months ago & needs a good thorough clean
It was comfortable and convienient for the weekend of the clipsal 500 which is why we were there
Helpful staff, comfortable facilities, out of town but not far. Swimming pool. Not enough powerpoints but does not see itself as an IT executive motel
the front desk was very helpful but the hotel is old and in need of up grades everywhere! It was not very clean and the bedding was old. The pillows were flat. And it was a long way from everything!
Did not like the hotel, the room or the location. Very old and needs some upgrades. Just didn't feel clean and the bed was not comfortable. Would never stay there again.
