Large rooms, comfortable beds, helpful and friendly staff Love the hot tub !!!
The location is convenient and easy to find, staff very friendly, room was clean and comfortable. We will return!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. The Inn is close to all major attractions . This was the second time I've stayed at the Sandia Peak Inn and would recommend it to anyone . I was very satisfied with my stay.
Super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a little lacking, but it was included and I did find options to eat.
The best part of the hotel is the management, and their attention to detail and caring about their customers. Hotel is very well kept up and they knew how to take care of customers and that this starts with cleanliness. Was often asked and quite sincerely if all was in order and any way anything could be improved. Would highly recommend and also value for the money.
The value, convenience, and funky charm of the place make Monterey Non-Smokers' Motel a favorite. And in spite of the location on a busy road, the rooms give a very quiet sleep.
The unit was clean, and the facility had unique decor. The location was great, as it was near old town, the zoo, and the aquarium. The owner was a grumpy old curmudgeon. I was chewed out for the on-line room purchase, and for having 2 teenagers with me. I had already paid for the two "extra" occupants on-line, yet got an ear-full at check in. @ $90 /night, I was disappointed that there was no, breakfast or microwave in the room.
The manager came out and fixed the problem. My husband went to pay for the room and they wouldn't let him pay for it because the room was under my name even though he had my credit card and ID. My husband was upset so I went in and the lady at the desk told me she would not rent me a room and I had to cancel my reservation because my husband had attitude. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me no. I remained calm and finally spoke with the property manager. She apologized for the mix up and checked us in. I was a little shocked. We have stayed there before but will not be staying there again.
Very nice staff. Not clean at all. Very dirty floors, it appeared to never have been vacuumed. We found several hairs in the beds and in the shower, and there were a lot of stains on the sheets.
My husband and I stayed here for one night, and booked our hotel room for cheap online. We were surprised by the cleanliness of the room, and were overall satisfied with our stay. It is certainly not luxurious, but a great deal for a low price. We would stay here again if we ever return to the area.
My car didn't get broken into in the night , so that's good. The morning staff was friendly. Stepped in to the room to kill a spider right off the bat. Filthy walls. There was an old washcloth from whomever used the bath last draped over the shower curtain. Toilet had nasty ring like it hasn't been scrubbed in a while. Only one body towel for two people. Truly surprised the good ratings this place has gotten.
Location was ok, but confusing to get to. Cheap for the price... but there was nothing else that we liked. Both of the queen beds were infested with BedBugs... Shampoo bottle was half used already... there was MOLD in the cramped tiny bathroom and smelled moldy also. The TV also was broke and not working when we got there. The curtains were also ripped and not attached to cover the window. We came down for breakfast at 8am and there was nothing left. It's a cheap motel... you get what you pay for. Note to families... bring your own sheets and insect spray.
It's a cheap place to lay your head for the night. The room was clean but sparse. The only plus was even though it is close to the highway, the road noise wasn't a problem. The continental breakfast is basic, but worth it if you have to head out early on the road.
Friendly staff Carpets needed a cleaning, some doors weren't accessable from the outside. You get what you pay for.
Got a great price for my weekday using Kayak! Location is right off the I-40 interstate and next to a roller skate rink. Good breakfast in the morning too:) Staff was terrible! One in particular, the supervisor Salazar! She was very rude and always seemed another every time I approached the front desk. My tv remote ni batteries, then had to go back because the cable box was expired n did not work. I elected to stay for exercise too but all but one peace worked! She literally yelled at me and told me to stop complaining! Unacceptable!!!
THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS STAY AT SUPER 8. The one person who was curious was the night shift desk clerk, but little did we see of him. The woman manager was rude. She entered our room several times while we were out, and openly admitted it. Instead having house keeping clean our room she made several rude comments about how dirty it was when she went in (without our permission) . Forty seven dollars were missing from my belongings and an expensive bottle of liquor. The first 24 hrs of our stay, the entire hotel had no water. They made no efforts to compensate for our conditions. Instead they warned us not to use the restroom or try to take a shower. My wife asked for towels to take a shower once the water was returned on and she asked for three , the night watchman stated that he could only give her two.Every time we returned from being out, our room key did not work.To add insult to injury 15 minutes before check k out time on our 3rd day, the very unpleasant lady manager banged on our door and told us it was time to leave.I will never stay again and I am sticking with hotels.com for my booking needs.
There was never anyone at the desk. 4 times in three days I needed someone at the desk and had to go looking for someone. Then when I found her she was incredibly rude.
The service the front desk provided was good and friendly. Need some improvement. No iron, no ironing board, toilet bowl made a lot of noise all night long, TV would not work with the remote control-had to turn on TV with a side button, and ESPN channels were not available. In all the years I've stayed at Super 8 motels I've never experienced these problems.
Price was good Bathroom appeared to not have been cleaned as the toilet seat was dirty and there was a used bar of soap in the shower. What else did they not clean...? Neighbors had little dogs that wouldn't stop yipping. Hard to relax, recharge and refresh.
It was in the right place and the price was good. We often stay at Super 8 hotels and have always had good experiences
I would not have chosen to stay there. It was the only available room after another reservation I made was over booked. The tv remote was missing, the sink was clogged, the toilet kept running, the air conditioner didn't work, and the tv was fuzzy.
Nice stay. Good value for the price. The only thing was that there were only local channels on the TV, the rest of them were pay per view.
It is in a safe area, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. The AC works but it took hours to cool down to a comfortable temperature. Our TV didn't work, we had only one towel and we were told more would be delivered to our room but they never came, no batteries in the smoke detector, the wifi didn't work.
Area was good Shower curtain very loose. No hot water at vanity. Toilet flushed slow. Beds kind of springy. i paid over one hundred and only worth fifty.
ok The jerk that working when i check out was an ass
The hotel was centrally located, clean, and quiet. Especially appreciated that our pet was welcome for a very nominal fee. No.
Major water damage under the tub, as you stepped in it feel like to floor could give way!
Clean facilities - definitely dated but the tub caulk was white and clean, surprisingly high shower head (I'm tall), plenty of hot water. Let's face it, you get what you pay for. We just needed a sleep stop while on a long road trip and this did the trick. Comfortable beds and warm room. Got what I paid for and what was advertised for the most part. The couple of transients trashing the waffle bar for the continental breakfast in the lobby, then going out to panhandle were a little disconcerting. One guy started yelling at the front desk guy over a $5 key deposit ( he was trying to scam the clerk). The clerk handled it like a champ and was patient but firm but I thought the guy was going to get ugly. I didn't feel my son and I were unsafe until the upset guy got aggressive in time. We were all relieved that he left. There was gross trash all over the waffle bar and that was off putting - but the waffles were surprisingly good :) the hair dryer didn't work in the room and there was a strange smell when we turned he heater on (not the usual heater smell) but like I said it was all as expected and advertised as far as comfort and clean in the room itself.
Room was clean, love the kitchen. I had a difficult experience with after hours check-in. The phone was not working, so I had to call their customer assistance number. The woman there spent about 15 minutes calling the night assistant to no avail, so she called the hotel manager who contacted the night assistant. After being checked in our room keycard didn't work so we had to go back and be switched to a new room. Quite a difficult ordeal after a long day of driving!
Easy freeway access The tub was moldy and cracked and the cold water didn't work so you had an option of lava or no shower
Very quiet and easy to check in The complimentary breakfast was a joke it's just a waffle maker and some honey buns the drink machine was even out of order and you can't bring food back to your room
Rooms were tidy and organized. Very small space in rooms. Bathroom is tiny. Door in the bathroom was very hard to shut. Construction was being done at the location.
Quit 'very clean N/
price no ventilation in the bathroom
Nothing I didn't like the fact I didn't get to stay there. Went on Kayak.com and booked a room since I was traveling from Arizona to Ohio. Didn't get to stay because all the rooms were booked. Then got charged $100+ dollars the next day for a room I didn't stay at. Overall sucked, and the lady at the front was rude.
Nothing Very dirty, had to change 3 different rooms becuase the sheets were stained. Disgusting
Nothing Dirty and cigarette burns in the bedding
The nightly rate was VERY reasonable. We were looking for an affordable place to stay on short notice. The lack of cleanliness of the bathroom and linens made us feel uncomfortable. The pool was also closed during our stay.
No comment.I If you are interested in containing costs, you need to fix the faucet in the sink as it runs continuously.
Close to cliff's, flea market, zoo, sandia peak tram No window or vent in bathroom
Being able to hear the people above us.
It was very conveinent to stay at this particular Motel 6. In fact the reason we stay at so many motel 6's is the conveinent locations near traveling lanes. Also since we just go to sleep and leave the cost makes it reasonable for us to travel and stay. The ice machine was broken and that caused one to have to go to the third floor to get ice. Since it had an elevator that made it reasonably easy to go there. One should always fix broken items as quickly as possible. To see non functioning equipment makes one wonder if a motel is being run properly so hope they got it fixed quickly, especially for the summer time.
Clean, cheap, good location.
Nice place comfy The bathroom door didn't close and it was always open
The location was exactly what I wanted. I needed to work and their internet was so unreliable. I didn't finish everything I needed to. Very frustrating.
Friendly staff. Noisy, close to freeway with a lot of traffic noise.
city mostly booked for a balloon fest not much choice under $---- Loud we only got about two hours, and left do to the parties and noise from drunk tenants.
The heater didn't work and the hot water in the shower didn't work either. The sheets of the bed didn't look clean and there was weird activity going on outside all night. People slamming doors and yelling made it for a horrible sleep. I would not stay there again.
A place to crash and shower. Not a resort. Exceptional value for the price. Rough area, no fault to Motel 6. A place to crash!
Not much. Just the morning coffee The stay was very uncomfortable. Rooms were not clean. I pd for 3 rooms. Had to get refunded for one filthy room. An went to another hotel. I will never take my family there again. I was very sorry I brot them there. When it was redrool Inn. It was our favorite place to stay as a family. Not no more. The AC didn't work. TV didn't work. Toilets clogged up the first 10 min we were there. Hallways are hot an stuffy. Carpets are stained an filthy. No coffee pot in the room. Although there were coffee cups. Grind to make coffee. No breakfast bar. Mann shud I continue my disappointments. But no more stay that's for sure.
Nothing We got excited off the room before our agreed on time
Clean and well maintained Ice machine out for two days
The affordability, and pet friendly. Yes, plenty of things that I did not like, but the worst was that I woke up from my sleep thinking there is an earthquake because the whole room started shaking when people take the stairs. Can't believe the clerk gave me the room and didn't warn me.
Absolutely nothing! The room reeked of cigarettes. All rooms are smoking rooms apparently. Worst motel I've stayed at in my entire life. Absolutely terrible.
Clean and location! Room was small and towels were rough.
Nothing!!! The rooms were bad! Dirty and Staff was rude! Never ever staying here again!! Price of rooms were over priced!
location Dirty and overpriced. The Priceline 'deal' was more than their regular price.
the location was were I needed to be. plastic sheets on both beds, the breakfast was only coffee and donuts which were gone by 8 am when we got there. wyfi for pc did not extend to our room, only basic cable Place needs a face lift.
It was ok good room to sleep in Swimming pool was being worked on so closed
