Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location of hotel, rooms were clean and comfortable. The coffee machine was brilliant. Would have prefered to have a room with a canal view and located in the main part of hotel not the annexe
Stayed for 4 nights and felt it was our "home" . The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the restaurants and sites we were interested in.
Good value for the price and location in the center of town. Very nice staff and reasonably priced breakfast!
I had a lovely stay with very helpful staff in a cosy atmosphere. I recommend sipping a cocktail by the fireplace! Nothing I can think of.
The Staff were amazing and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
Staff, Bed, Pillows:) Internet Access
very comfortable and quiet hotel room not very big. Considering the price, breakfast should be included.
warm and friendly welcome. Smaller room but cleen and beautiful. Nice breakfest and Special interior design. Room a bit small
Everything...! Staff is charming, the room #405 (bridal suite) is marvelous even located in the annex and the main building for breakfest is suberb...
We liked a lot the way the hotel is decorated a lot, it's old classic style. Apart from that, the service was very good, personnel is nice and friendly. That the heating was switched off while room cleaning and you had to come back to the cold room.
The best feature for us was the staff and their commitment to guest care. The location is excellent ..close to galleries etc and right on a peacrful section of canal. The back garden of the hotel is unique and difficult to better as a place to relax after a long day viewing and walking.. The hotel is close to some excellent restaurants includimg the black and blue. As above
Nice, but very small hotel in Jordan district in a 15min. walking distance from the Central station. Room is small, but OK for a single. Very nice breakfast room, friendly staff. Not noisy. Very small bathroom and extreemly narrow staircase.
it was cheap and cheerful and the reception staff helpful answering questions. Not the greatest accomdation in the world but then I didn't for that either. It did what it said on the tin, cheap and cheerful and was clean enough nothing really, if you want luxury you pay for it as in any major city
the breakfast was good and sufficient for each person. the location is not bad 15 minutes walking to the center at the most and a tram also stops 2 blocks from the hotel. first, nasty smell all over the hotel. second the most steep and dangerous stairs ever seen. if you have a big suitcase don't even think of climbing them up or down. we were a group of 6. 2 guys in one room and 4 girls in another. the 2 person room was bigger than the 4 person!!!the beds were small but with very good mattress. the whole bathroom was covered with some kind of liner even the shower, which was a bit dirty so we were not so keen on taking a shower!!!we had to improvise...
View of the cannal. Staff, Room, neighborhood
Great quiet location. If you take the right streets it is very close to everything in the Jordaan. They gave me a hard time about using an Amex card, then a hard time about using a Visa card and added 5% to the bill. Price quoted is for cash only.
All good, Polite, clean and great location...I Will be back soon Everything was ok and no complaints at all
The location, the real Amsterdam feeling. The breakfast starts late, on Sunday - 8.30. Quite uncomfortable for a hotel.
The staff of the Hotel was extremely kind and helpful, also in its advices for restaurants and city visit. Very nice and convenient position.
It is run by a family and they are very warm and friendly. It is conveniently located very close to Amsterdam CS & DAM Square
Lovely, charming hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, excellent location. I had a nice and clean room on the second floor, fully equiped, overlooking the gardens. The bed was more comfortable than I have at home :) It is a special feeling to discover how it is living along an Amsterdam canal, as you have your own entrance next to the reception. I will definetely return to 't Hotel!
The location was a student flat 2 mn walk from central station, in a nice area. Ideal for visiting the city. The flat was confortable and well equipped. You have to pay by cash or be charged 10% if you use credit card. Please mention this on the site.
The design and the location of the room was excellent. A good chance to spend time in Amsterdam not like a tourist, but like a local. The staff is very friendly, I got a message from them with a detailed information on how to get to the guesthouse, paying options a.s.o. just as soon as I booked a room. The guesthouse has great value for money. Well, they change towels once in three days. That didn't bother me actually, but I suppose there're people who could find it unacceptable. Also you have to pay cash (10% creditcard surcharge), but the staff told me about this in the very first mail. Everything else was fine. Some people might say a TV is kind of small or something else, but believe me, you get just what you pay for, no more, no less.
I was surprised to find the hotel room was infact an apartment complete with livingroom and kitchen. Considering that, the value for money wasn't too bad. The appartment was spacious and well equiped. I could have happily stayed there for a few weeks. Had to phone the hotel to get someone for check-in. He arrived within a few minutes though so not a major problem. Just a bit unexpected.
the room was very nice, and it was big and clean.
the location, the peace and quiet near the city centre, the baker shop opposite and other shops and houses and people in Jordan Do not expect too much, hotels in Amsterdam are over-rated
The hotel room is not a hotel room at all, it is a flat - rather nice and cousy. Hotel staff first said that we can pay when check-out, bit one hour later he wanted money ASAP! He was not polite and didn't try to solve any problem.
After finally being able to check in, we enjoyed our room. Good location to restaurants and the Amsterdam train station. the rooms for the hotel were not located at the address of the check in office. After walking all the way from the train station to the office with our luggage, we had to go almost 3 blocks back to towards the train station to go to the house where our room was located. Also we tried checking it at 2:30 PM which was after the normal check in time and our room was not ready until 4PM.
Nice location. Walk distance from city centre.Quiet neighbourhout.Litle shops off centre around.
The room was very clean and conveniently located. I will reserve again on my next trip to Amsterdam.
The only thing I like about it was it's location and the big space of the room The furniture was very old and dirty. The bed was very noisy, with no sheet on it! No towel supply during the 4 nights.
Location. Hot water Four flights of stairs. The room was tiny. The room was dusty. The bed was well used and collaped. Carpet filthy. TV no stations. Wi-fi non existent. $125 a night was at least twice what was worth. There may be larger rooms but staff would not allow me a change. The whole building needs carpet. I will not give this place another try ever I found much nicer hotel for $50 more. Im hopeful this will change my head space to enjoy Amsterdam
Service is efficient and friendly. The rooms, while running on the tight side, has a number of amenities: plenty of power outlets, fridge, safe, water kettle, large closet. The location is fantastic - about 12 minute walk from Centraal Station, on a large main road; easy to navigate with a map. The area is very walkable to many attractions: Anne Frank's House, tulip market, various museums and breweries. Overall, a great hotel for light travelers. The rooms are very tiny - I can see travelers with a lot of luggage having a hard time with the stairs, which are steep and narrow passages, and room sizes. For a two single bed room, the beds are very close to each other, and the space for actual walking and milling about it is tight.
It is located about one block from The Anne Frank House I found other hotels, and B & Bs in the area that were significantly less money. I also think if a location calls itself a B & B they should provide breakfast. There was no breakfast, which was a big disappointment.
Excellent location, a lot of character Room could have been a bit cleaner (spiderwebs in the corners)
Close proximity to facilities.
