good location the room is a bit old
The location was great, very close to a metro stop and within 15 mins of city center. The staff was very nice. Breakfast doesn't come with the hotel booking and it costs 13 euros per person. That's not a big problem since there is a cafe right across the street that offers 2 euros breakfast.
Perfect staff, always ready to help you. Perfect location, very near a subway station, only three stops to very center (plaza catalunya rambla street) also very good connection to other important places. Expensive breakfast and parking place.
The bathroom and the warm soft water i the tub - was perfect! And the basket with soap, comb, toothbrush etc. - perfect! I missed some daylight in the room (no 113) The walls carried noise from the neighbour room during the night, it was hard to fall asleep. The room was cold.
The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable
very good location. safe and close to the subway. The staff there are very kind and helpful. Rooms are clean.
It was excellent service. We had noise from corridor and strangers knocking the door.
Excellent breakfast, extremely clean room, free internet access in the lobby, close proximity to transportation means, hence easy access to the city Loud hotel guests coming to the hotel after midnight making noise and slaming doors; sometimes you could hear the street noise as well although my room was not facing the main street - quite uncomfortable if you want a good night sleep; air conditioning on the corridors a bit too strong (for my taste)
I give this hotel top marks for location, cleanliness and value for money. It is in a nice neighborhood with many very good restaurants and cafes. The metro is steps from the door.
Very handy location and extremely helpful staff
It was centrally located and the room had been recently renovated. It had good catering facilities within the room. The room was too small to be comfortable, especially the bathroom which was minute.
Basic and clean hotel. In a safe location. The view from the room was not very pleasant.
The location was close to the main tourist attractions, yet in a quiet area. It was very good value for money, very clean, and staff were most helpful. The bathroom and bed were a little on the small side for us. The kitchenette was very basic.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we had was basic but very comfortable and clean. A great hotel to explore barcelona.
IT was near the train station. Liked having the kitchenette. The staff were lovely. Room was comfortable. didn't like the cold floor but that's normal in a warm country!
The reception staff were friendly. The room our floor was on was non-smoking. The proximity to the metro station, very convenient. Kitchen-cupboard was great, as you could store food in the fridge. The walls seemed to be a bit on the thin side, and you could hear furniture being moved around upstairs. The breakfast was expensive, since we have a light breakfast.
The staff really went out of their way to help in every way. Nothing
The renovated rooms were excellent. The staff were excellent - always friendly and ready to help. The location was fantastic - near great shopping, restaurants and local sights - not touristy. The beds were a little hard and the pillows were not standard shape and too soft, they could have been more comfortable. Also as a couple staying we would have like the two single beds made up as a double... There was also a bit of noise through the bathroom from the neighbouring room, it didn't disrupt us - we just noticed it a few times.
the nice hotel staff , the access to the internet
Good value for money. Located in a quiet, yet central neighborhood.
The hotel has a very good location, 5 minutes from the metro. The area is secure, you have a lot of shops nearby. The wireless connection is excellent. The room was very clean and the breakfast was good. I would come back again here and I strongly recommend it. The staff was superficial, they gave me wrong information regarding some buses I wanted to take to get away from Barcelona. Communication is far from desirable.
helpfull staff, clean & nice rooms, good location, breakfast was a little expensive
good position, clean, new poor tv channel selection, bad design of the shower that leads to arose a big part of the bathroom
Centrale near the Metro train Lot of noice from the road.
There is no separation between bathroom and toliet, the toliet was wet after having a bath
Water leaking from shower door, no soap holder in the shower and next to the sink
Great rates and good location. A short hop to town but you're out of the jam packed area.
Friendly staff The vierw out of some wndows was not nice (dirty and smelly)
Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. The location is close to the shopping and tourist areas but also to non-tourist areas as well. There was a smell of blocked drains in the bathroom - my room was on th 9th floor.
The staff were very pleasant in particular Ivan on the reception desk. Although the appartment was quite a way from the centre the metro was nearby if you didn't want to walk. Furnishings were very dated but rooms kept clean.
The rooms are very big and clean, the location is perfect (5 mins from underground station).
Able to walk to key areas in the City. Variety of eating out locations. CLose supermaket/shops for breakfast. Struggled with opening door- lock difficult. No Kettle or inventory. No mircowave. Accommodation is worn out but was given this impression on reviews.
We really enjoed our staying in this hotel. It was 2 rooms (living room and the bedroom),small kitchen.Very convenient if you would like to cook sometime. The furniture are very old,but still ok.The rooms are clean, what is important. Of course it would be good to change the furniture.
The Hotel is close to a Metro Station The Classification of the Room is nice The Hotel is not in city Center. Most of the stores around it is closed in weekends.
Let me explain that I took this hotel to attend 3GSM. All other hotels within about 100 km of Barcelona appeared to be full and I considered myself very lucky to find this one. All hotels including this one sharply inflated their prices for the 3GSM week. I would normally stay at a better quality hotel, but it was perfectly adequate. The staff were friendly. The apartment was amazingly spacious. The corridors, etc, were very dingy and dilapidated. The breakfast was quite poor.
We stayed there in March 2008. 2 quite big rooms. The images on site are much worser then the hotel is in reality. A lot of cafes are in the nearby. 20 minutes by walk from the centre, 3 minutes from FGC station (Pl. Molina, St. Gervasi). The electric pot will be a good addition to the apartment's kitchen. It is a little bit noisy (we had the lift just near the room door).
Definately as the place is great for the price. With children it was a good place as we had our own kitchenette and the supermkt is a mins from the hotel-the helpful staff will guide you, it would be good to know Spanish as most of the staff didn't speak any English. The Fontana metro is 2 stops from the Catalunya(Ramblas). The place is about 10-15 mins walk to the nearest metro stn Fontana. The walls need noise proofing.
The location of the hotel is good. air conditioning should have some kind of controller in the room.
The location is great. I did not feel my room was clean. Everything is very old! I could not step bare foot in any part of the room.
It is a fairly new hotel, and the room was incredibly clean, the bathroom spotless, and they cleaned, replaced all my linens, and made the bed every day. I was extremely impressed. The shower was really small, i know the hotel can't do anything about it, i am just letting others know for the future.
Hotel Staff N/A
Staff very helpful, they didint speak much english but always tried to help. Walls very thin one guest snored so much it kept you awake one night, apart from that it was very good, and very clean
The Hostel was very good organized, very clean, owner of property was always very helpful and any our request was made asap.We also felt safe.
Internet connection, coffe and tea at the room The room was noisy
the hotel was a good distance from the centre, with the metro just around the corner. i would recommend the hotel to any young couple who want to visit barcelona on a budget.
That it was amazingly silent in the hostel due to special doors
very nice location and price
poor sound isolation no refrigerator
Proximity to tourist attractions via metro A little bit cold
the room was big.
I was only 8 hours in the hotel. I didn't have time for much impression. The room was not clean. Seems it was not sweeped before my arrival.
i only had contact with the girl in the reception and she was really nice. not really, all i wanted was to have a place to sleep and that was located close to a metro station.
airco, internet, fact rooms are new, staff Cleaners left more black hairs rather than removing them, the shower was uncomfortable. No kitchen facilities, not even boiling water for tea.
Location in Gracia area is perfect, building/ rooms are brand new.. refill of coffee and tea at breakfast was poor, too low temperatur
This hotel has a very good location, easily accessible from Lesseps metro station. Also, very affordable (but see complaints...) Our room was filthy. Cigar smoke, paint fumes, and mold were intoxicating, and the window was broken so we couldn't even air the room out. We asked to change rooms three times (and were told nothing else was available), and finally packed up our belongings and told the front desk we wanted our money back. Immediately they found a new, clean, already-made up room. (ten minutes prior there was "nothing else available"). More appropriately termed a hostel (or perhaps a half-way house), the Erasmus is truly awful.
Excellent value for money and hotel was comfortable and of a v good, c;ean standard-would have no hesitation in reccomending. A very enjoyable stay Not Applicable
Very good region and a very quiet place. Very poor breakfast and itwas the same everyday. With the money we paid for breakfast in the hotel we could better buy ingredients for breakfast from the cheap supermarkets that are around and also you can buy very good coffee from the coffee machine in the hotel which just costs 60 cents. Also if you are late for breakfastt 5 minutes they will clean it all and there will be no chance of you getting any breakfast.
Close to metro station on the most useful line. Close to Gracia district. Nothing.
Locality to metro station and friendly helpfull staff. Impossible to use the shower properly unless you are 4` tall and built like a match. Bed sheets could have been cleaner.
Think back to your dorm room in college. If you went to a public college. And your parents didn’t pay extra to put you in one of the nice dorms. Bare bones. Mattress is very basic. Room is clean and lots of space. Bathroom clean and hot water was consistent. Fantastic location in a fantastic neighborhood. Something to note is Villa Gracia is mainly a residential area that does not attract the tourists that other parts of Barcelona does. It is about 2 miles from Barcelona’s historical center. Villa Gracia has the coffee shops, boutiques, and restaurants reminiscent of hip Brooklyn, but surrounded by a traditional/quaint Spanish neighborhood. Definitely plan on walking around one or two evenings to sit in Placa de Sant Joan, check out a few shops and get a drink at one of the many bar cafes. Mama’s Café, Elephanta (awesome gin and tonic bar with wonderful bartenders), and Polleria Fontana were our favorite spots to eat and drink. Residencia Erasmus was merely a cheap way for us to stay in the heart of the neighborhood of Gracia; it was nothing more and nothing less.
