I love the room!!! Food are really too expensive!
Pools & beach are good. Very expensive. The price of Wine in the restaurants was extortionate. Service was Indonesian standard at Singapore prices! The ferry terminal being built on the beach spoils the view totally from the East Wing. I know Singaporeans don't like to walk more than 10 metres to get anywhere, but did it have to be built in the middle of the resort?
The facilites, and staff I thought the food and drinks were overpriced, including the shop. Obviously they know they have a captive audience
more entenaiments specially for kids aged below 2 and above 10 years old price of everything was so expensive and didn't worth the quality.I won't come back to this place again although the nature was very nice and the staff were excellent.
Staff were very friendly. Pool area is a bit dated. Construction going on in the front of the hotel. The beach wasn't as clean as it could have been.
Nice location, wide hotel complex, two very large pools, good beach facilities. In general hotel service is not in line with 5 star standards. Room are nice, confortable but not clean (bed sheets were regularly stained!). Staff service quite poor. Restaurants are nice but too expensive...and there's no other option but dining in the hotel! Since there's nothing else to see on the island, we'd recommend it only for 3 nights max.
My girlfriend and I stayed at BLR for the weekend and had a blast. We took the 90 minute Moziac ferry from Tinah terminal straight to immigration at BLR resort and it was super easy. BLR is definitely going through some renovations but both pools were open and the staff was kind and accommodating the whole weekend. The beach restaurant Neyalan was awesome, the wait staff was so nice and always had smiles on their faces. It's a great spot to enjoy lunch or dinner and has reasonably priced food and drinks, especially compared to Singapore. Our only complaint was the lack of information about the tar on the beaches. I don't know what happened off the coast of Bintan but there is no shortage of tar on the beach. BLR does a good job of cleaning it but no matter what, if you go to the beach you will get tar on your feet. We don't have kids but BLR had numerous activities for the kiddos. If you're looking for a short weekend beach trip from Singapore and don't mind some tar on your feet I would recommend Bintan Lagoon Resort.
facilities were good. The main buffet restaurant varied from poor to quite good while we stayed there. staff in general were helpful and service good .Apart from comment below. changed room at start as original room smelt of smoke. but i didnt book a non smoking room (in other parts of the world non smoking is standard and you dont think about it. Also lot of people complaining of no seaview. the staff seemed to take delight in telling everyone it says sea facing not seaview.. very misleading..
The beachfront is truly a place to relax. The pool is also unexpectedly big. The air-conditioning doesn't really seem to cool the room even though it was at full blast.
Very relaxing and comfortable hotel in beautiful surroundings. Very quiet mid-week as this island is a weekend retreat for Singaporeans mostly. Main restaurant/cafe could be cooler -fomal a/c would suit us europeans better. Choice and range of foods was good but the quality was variable on the whole. Orzo restaurant had a good menu but the meals were either very good or very poor and expensive. We stayed in de-luxe sea facing rooms on the 5th floor in the west wing so the views were great and the room servicing was excellent. The staff everywhere were welcoming and helpful. The bathroom was starting to look tired and needed refurbishing to maintain the high standards that generally are the norm in this hotel.
I liked how the hotel was so spacious. They were obviously close to capacity but the place didn't seem too crowded. I also liked that there was a lot of activities to do in the hotel grounds. The hotel is isolated. You can't really go anywhere and so you must eat at the resort's restaurants. The restaurants are pretty expensive and the food is rather average. There were also very few vegetarian options. The best food we had was at Haskell's by the golf course.
good service. A bit too expensive.
Facilities Price and cleanliness
Staff were very kind and attentive. Liked the fact they cleaned the beach all day long and also sprayed the gardens in the night for insects. Food and drinks were overpriced. For the price, the food quality is mediocre. We ended up spending almost the price of the room for food/drinks with no alternatives.
I like the hotel is near the beach. The hotel may need some renovation especially for room and bathroom though they have to increase room charge.
White sand beach excellent for my son to play around as it is his first experience on the beach Timber floor at room need to be repaired and re-coated
The Spice Restaurant served delicious indian food, local cuisine and international food was also great. All restaurants throughout Nirwana Gardens were fantastic, each a different experience. Beach at the Resort was beautiful. We booked a garden view room but were still able to see the sea side, loved that.
the fabulous location, super staff lovely food drinks too dear
Quiet & private Na
Great location, very well organised arrival and departure procedures. Food quality (I am not referring to the freshness) and choices in the restaurants well below anything I have ever experienced in any Hotel or Restaurant in South East Asia. Acomodation fair, but not at this price. No swimming pool, however one could walk few minutes to the other part of the Resort with a nice pool there. Beach lounges not adjustable - lay down or else...
We enjoyed the proximity to the ocean and the clean beaches. We also liked the pool at the nearby Nirwana hotel. Beer was too expensive, The Saturday night party at the Beach Hotel was so loud we couldn't sleep.
Food standard low
the distance (none!!!) to the beach rooms could use a bit of upgrading, especially the bathrooms
Good location, nice beach. Furniture in chalets really old. Looked like duvet covers hadn't been changed in a long time. Curtains also not particulalrly clean. Activities available at a nearby hotel belonging to same group of hotels, but some distance away; had to wait for shuttle to take us there which wasn't very convenient. And you pay extra for every little thing that you want to do.
It was very good service, they were very nice to us. It was a nice area but it wasnt a good location if you want to know the culture or shopping, long way from everything and the food in the resturant were expensive. you have to pay for everything at the hotel, it is expensive. And if you need internet you have to pay for it, and that was also expensive.
Room was a junior suite , very good value in that it was very big, quiet and had beautiful view of the sea The public toilets were not clean , and the grounds were very unkempt. The mini zoo was atrocious - the animals filthy , neglected were only alive because some of the hotel guests ( including me ) fed the poor, starving animals ( which had no clean water , or water at all ) . So, if you go to this hotel - please feed the starving animals from your restaurant food - especially fruits and vegetables, and please give them water !
Actually the Comfort Hotel is a great place to stay. the room was clean and very big. There was a good restaurant and a pool. The hotel offers also a pub, a laundry service and some more. For us, it was okay for two nights but there is not much around to see.
Staff at reception was very helpful. Especially MARIA, who was very helping nature. Swimming pool was not clean. management put water and chips in room and later they charge for it. They should put note there about charges.
Location of the hotel marked in Googlemaps is misleading - the hotel is far in the south, in the middle of nowhere. The breakfest is just not eatable.
