Excellent accommodations and courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Also, a great value, considering the quality of the hotel, furnishings and amenities. We'll be back! On arrival late in the evening the hotel was out of a number of items on the menu, both food and drink. A bit frustrating since we arrived late and had counted on a late dinner.
Nice hotel, close to the airport. Big, spacious room with comfy bed. Breakfast was OK. Not so expensive compared to other hotels similar to this. Few tables to have breakfast.
Very good breakfast!! Not food room service
Very friendly staff Large comfortable rooms Complimentary hot breakfast Starbucks in lobby Free internet Very thoughtful design
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The inside of the hotel could perhaps use a little bit of a face-lift, but the rooms were clean and comfortable, with fridges, couches, etc, and I felt very welcome and safe here as a solo female traveler.
Great staff and service--everyone was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean and breakfast was enjoyable. The location was very convenient and the area/neighborhood was peaceful, clean and serene. There was a group of people on our floor that made a ton of noise one night as they came in and out of their rooms to visit each other across the hall. Honestly it felt like we were staying in a college dormitory. While I know that this is not necessarily the fault of the hotel, the noise carried heavily into our room during bedtime for our young son. It went on for an hour and was just miserable. We called down to the lobby to see if they could address it but, at 8pm, I'm not sure what they could have done.
The staff were very helpful Nothing
the staff is very friendly and helpful. the room exceeded expectation - bathroom is updated nicely and the bed was very comfortable. I didn't hear anything during my stay that would have kept me up. close proximity to uptown if that's what you are in town for. no complaints
Clean and very friendly staff. Business center out of order.
I loved the room. It had a beautiful set up and the removable shower head was great. It was nice to have a mini fridge for storage and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Breakfast was generic but sufficient if you wanted to save money and buy lunch and dinner later. When my partner and I first arrived the receptionist was on the phone laughing and giggling to who ever was on the other line. We were only second in line but had to wait at least 15 minutes for service. The other receptionist was servicing another family and was quickly on the phone after speaking with them. In came another receptionist reprimanding her co-workers in front of everyone in the lobby. Very unprofessional! After our 15 minute wait we get to the receptionist only to find out that even though we had a reservation we would have to wait another 15 to 30 minutes to get the room we wanted! After driving 11 hours to North Carolina, that isn't what you want to hear. So we took the room initially offered due to being exhausted. We stayed at the Hyatt house a few months back and preferred that one much much better. It got 5 stars across the board! This airport Hyatt had a small closet, leaving at least half of my dress to rest onto the floor
Room, staff,breakfast all great
Staff was very friendly. Starbucks on site Short-staffed housekeeping
The friendly and professional staff were the most notable of the whole experience. Everyone was very friendly and making sure that you had everything you needed. Loved the whole experience!
location to airport. very country like settting. good breakfast the noise upstairs was very loud. had to call front desk twice for noise complaint. nothing was done about the noise.
didnt inform pool was closed and doing work on building, bathrooms old and stained, all needs work price
We arrived at 2:00 am, saw the dirty room and asked for another room which was not available. However, staff came to clean the bathroon and brought clean bedsheets Breakfast was good. Wrinkled bed sheets and beds were poorly made. Nedsheets and pillow cases had stains and hair on them. Bathroom floor was not clean (blood stains on the floor, hair around the toilet and on the floor)
Great value. Pool. Better than average cont breakfast. Some minor renovations ongoing. No elevator for 2nd floor.
Close to airport Rooms and old and dirty looking
Bed and TV in the room Only one bed in room, we had three Adults!, drain in tub was plugged, pool was closed(YES, STILL CLOSED AND IT WAS ONLY IN THE 90'S!!) Absolutely no urgency to fix Anything! Black mold spot in hallway, water damaged on drywall in bathroom.
The rooms will be nice when finished. The place was being renovated. And the doors were not secure from the parking lot into the hotel. I did not feel comfortable with such easy access for anyone to walk right into the hotel from the back entrances. Tile work was not completed, paint on the walls was not completed.
Breakfast, the cookies and the lemonade. Furniture and carpet were stained. Their were ants in my room and from the response I received it wasn't the first time they had been informed of this issue.
The price was good and breakfast was not bad. Carpets old, bathrooms small, drain slow, no microwave or fridge.
Price No frigging elevator! Slow internet!
Desk staff gave me a room per request on second floor. Room quiet enough. Curtain was for decoration only. Unable to close to shield out parking garage light outside window. A few table lamps did not work, one was not plugged in. No elevator to second floor.
Very close to the airport. Tasty breakfast. Laundry in the building. Large laundromat and supermarket directly across the street. Standard room with two queen beds had a small refrigerator and microwave. rooms are surprisingly well noise insulated. Regularly forgot how close this hotel was to the airport until walking outside and having a plane fly directly overhead. Housekeeper started banging on the door at 9am everyone morning to ask if I was leaving. Definitely not welcomed when you just got finished working at 2am and clearly have three more days on your reservation.
Having the living room separate from the bedroom was nice. Furniture was very old and uncomfortable.
Facilities, Food Room service
The massive room I had. Staff was perfect and I'll stay there again
The breakfast was very good. The breakfast staff was very attentive. The happy hour was also good. Thought maybe they would have a hot appetizer to go along with the cheese and crackers and fruit. I reserved a room with a king size bed and was given a queen size bed.
I like the staff and ease of check in and out. there was also a reception and free full breakfast. The room looks like it hasnt been updated since the 70s. It needs a full overhaul.
great location - great staff- very clean
We loved the room! The food was also very delicious. Would stay here again. Construction was ongoing but we were made aware so it was ok.
Proximity to airport Room was clean, with the exception of some random objects (springs, screws) Desk staff were friendly, polite, and competent The room was tiny and loud, pillows were small and lumpy, air system wouldn't stay on to provide white noise. Hospitality staff walked into the room at 9 am while I was in the shower. All things considered, the room was overpriced.
Lg tv in room Quoted $74 online, booked it, and then when I got to the hotel they charged me $109. I showed them my confirmation email, and was told it didn't matter, it was being done by corporate.
I loved the cleanliness of the hotel! Beds were very comfortable and clean. The hotel is only about a 10 minute drive to downtown Charlotte, and there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from withing driving distance. We were a group of women, and I felt very safe in this area. Also, I had two separate reservations for a two night stay. We were supposed to check- out, then check back in to switch rooms. Well, I asked the nice older gentleman if we could just stay in the same room (even though we weren't supposed to b/c we booked through a 3rd party,) but he managed to work it out so we could stay in our room. Talk about going above and beyond! For the price and the value (clean rooms, breakfast, free wifi etc.,) Its worth the price. Next time I'm in Charlotte, I won't hesitate to stay here!!!! I called for extra towels and I was greeted with an irritated voice that said "hello!" You would have thought I was calling her house in the middle of the night playing phone tag! She said she would bring some, but after about 20 minutes of waiting, still no towels. No big deal. We left, went to dinner, and before returning to our room, stopped by the front desk where the kind gentleman asked "how many?" and in seconds, returned with warm fluffy towels! We did this on both nights of our stay and it was no problem.
The shuttle was good Well it is in a very run down part of Charlotte there was an hr long helicopter police chase outside the hotel and several you ladies that appeared to be working not just there to sleep who frequently were outside smoking. Just overall a very rundown hotel no bath tub just a shower! Not kids programming on the tv.
Good decor, breakfast was great, beds were comfortable and the shower was amazing. They had fresh lemonade at the check in 24/7. Coffee and Tea were always available as well. Pool was closed on Memorial Day weekend?!? No mention of it was given to me and it was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel.
the room cleanliness transport to airport wifi kitchenette ok for the airport or do you need a car
Very modern and sleek. Great breakfast, made to order omelette. Very accommodating. Nothing really
The room was very clean and the staff accommodating. The inside and outside fire pit areas were warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet area was not kept clean or stocked, several dishes and glasses were dirty. The omelet station was manned by a women who spent the whole shift talking and complaining about her life to one of the other co-workers and some of the discussion was not suitable for the young children in the area. the food was only warm and not hot, we ended up leaving and paying for breakfast at a nearby restaurant because none of the 4 people in our party could eat the food that was out. This has never happened, we travel a lot an always stay at hotels that offer free breakfast as a convenience.
Good staff. Warm welcome. Airport shuttle. Good complimentary breakfast. Wonderful room facilities. A good place to stay away from home. Nothing
Friendly staff, breakfast package. Wall is paper thin, noisy.
Well done lobby area and comfortable rooms. Bedroom needed a fridge and breakfast buffet was $14.
Staff were outstanding at all times Kudos to hiring management for understanding the importance and knowledge to choose those who know how to deliver excellence! Very nice rooms with comfortable clean rooms. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!!
One of the nicest Sheraton's I've stayed. Wonderful staff and lovely rooms.
The broken shower head on the Club floor in the room that I was staying in. And I wish i had a patio.
Very close to airport and hotel shuttle was great. Bathroom had water spots and carpet looked dirty.
Comfort of beds was great. The Lobby was very attractive. Room was clean, but not sound proof. Requested additional wash cloth that never came. The ceiling had been repaired at one time for a water leak and needed permanent repair as it was beginning to deteriorate. Had to call about internet access. No one explained about free (unsecured) line vs. premium secured line at a cost. No one fully explained that they would be charging incidentals to credit card just in case. Found a $54.63 charge to my account for nothing that I'd used upon my return home. View was of the rental car lot which was fine except for the fact that the following morning the staff would turn on car alarms to find the vehicles which was very disruptive when trying to sleep.
Late Dinner at bar was accommodating. Large portions on meal. Room was damp & moldy. Too late at night to relocate the room. Printer in business center did not function.
I had read the reviews and was looking forward to my night's stay. When we arrived everything was great--good food at the restaurant, great service at the restaurant, nice, clean room and very comfortable bed. But my stay there was for an early morning flight. I asked for a wake-up call that never came in--an essential necessity for an early am flight. And I asked for breakfast to arrive at a specific time and it never did. After waiting 20 minutes after the breakfast arrival time, I had to cancel it and head to the airport with two very hungry little kids. Also, the internet service was NOT free as advertised.
Awesome value! Friendly Staff....very helpful when we had a problem. Beautiful Decor! Clean Rooms! My only complaint was they did not have free wi-fi.
My Husband and I spent 8 nights at this Hotel. The room was comfortable. The staff from the Bellman to the Front desk were the most helpful with dining suggestions and directions to get there. January is a slow month and a wonderful time for a leisure vacation. The buffet breakfast is excellent but abit pricey. The bed was very comfortable. The airport was 10 minutes away.
Enjoyed my stay; excellent workout facilities, great restaurant.
Actually sleeping on the ground is a lot more comfortable Pillows were so small. The thermostat was crazy.. It blew hot air and then cold air all night long. Will not stay there again because of these problems.
The hotel felt like home away from home. Pillows in most hotels are way too soft. I could actually sleep on these pillows.
The rooms were huge, 2 bedrooms with a large bathroom. 2 flat screen tv's. Very nice! I read a lot of reviews before I book a room, and this was a good decision. Surprising how affordable this hotel was.
WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE. THE CHEF NEEDS TO BE REFERED TO THE COOKING CHANNEL, CHOPPED, HE CAN COOK LIKE A CHEF THAT NEEDS TO BE RECONIZED BY A LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE. BUT IF HE IS NEVER FOUND THEN FIND HIM AT THIS HOTEL AND KEEP HIS COOKING TO YOURSELF! AWESOME FOOD AND GREAT EMPLOYEES AND ATMOSPHERE I WILL GO BACK!
This is a hidden treasure in the Charlotte area. The room was very clean and was well furnished. The pool and work out facilities were also very clean and supplies were well stocked. The staff was very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in or near Charlotte.
Fantastic room! The layout of the hotel was beautiful. The pool and gym area was really nice as well. Not far from the interstate and about 5-8 minutes from downtown. Great location and will hope to stay there again!
I recently stayed here for an overnight trip. Hotel was very nice and tastefully decorated. Rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was pleasant. Check In and Out went smoothly. Would definitely stay here again during future Charlotte trips!
This hotel is very tucked away but is very beautiful. At first it seems like there is no hotel but once you drive up it is magnificent. Everything is very well maintained and clean. Guest services is always willing and able to assist in whatever way they can. Photos online does not give justice to the beauty of the hotel. I know that they have a pool area although I was unable to use it. And room service (breakfast) is very speedy and delicious. I am looking forward to my next trip and the renaissance is definitely where I will be staying.
Proximity to airport...able to get dinner(tho not very tasty) and a beer. Did not know that we needed to call for shuttle at airport so waited a long time...
Great location Forgot to call ylus about the shuttle
Very clean Staff was very helpful Breakfast buffet was delicious Would highly recommend this hotel
Large, clean rooms. Room has refrigerator, AC/heater unit worked well, bathroom was updated and clean. No weird smells. Breakfast was more than just continental (eggs, sausage, grits, cereal, breads, fruit, etc) Weird light switches in the rooms, not very bright.
Location to the airport. Attentive staff. Airport shuttle service Room needed maintenance. Smoky smell in the corridors.
Their shuttle was quick and convenient. There were delivery menus available for hungry late arrivers. We experienced no problems during our stay.
The room we stayed in was clean, contemporary, and comfortable. The staff was great and the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend the breakfast add on to your room. I asked if we could check out a bit later than 12 and was denied.
would be nice to refresh the rooms. The restaurant was very poor quality of food, even worse than a Shoney's
Comfy beds, spacious room, very clean, close to airport and the shuttle was great. Food at the store downstairs was really overpriced (I know all hotels are), out of coffee in the morning when we went to leave
Hotel is under renovation. I arose early to catch a plane and found there was no hot water for my shower. Also, the coffee pot in the room had not been properly cleaned.
I enjoyed the luxury. Pricing.
I didn't like anything about it. It was the worst place I've ever stayed. I didn't like the hotel period it was run down. It was as if the place was for drug dealers and hookers.
very dirty pathways, doorways, carpets, etc. room sheets were clean, but not much else….
Very comfortable beds, Not much noise other than airplanes, which isn't bad either. No fridge or microwave in my room but that wasn't a deal breaker for me.
Overall my stay was fine. I chose this room because I needed a refrigerator and microwave as I ate my meals there. The bed and shower were fine. Choices on the TV adequate.
Well worth the price. Small but clean.
Quiet very friendly staff Booked 2 rooms that were to have a refrigerator and microwave neither did they also only give 1 key per room which made it difficult to get into other room where children were also booked a smoking and they failed to inform us that all rooms were not smoking
Older building but still clean. Friendly staff. Responsive heating/cooling unit. Spacious room for one nonsmoking king. Most of the rooms have exterior doors. Ours on the third floor did not, which i liked. Great value for so little cost.
Clean rooms. Maid staff was very pleasant and cheerful. Front desk attendant was very rude and had an attitude when I asked questions. He left me waiting to check-in to help someone else who walked up after me.
Beds were clean. Room ok. No Sunday breakfast.
The staff is aces, the room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was great. I loved the fact I was able to save $20 on cab fare by using the shuttle to go to the laundromat. I was very close giving a four star review with the reasons I didn't listed below. The pool being closes by Labor Day Weekend was a royal bummer. The float in the toilet got stuck twice which resulted in an overflow.
The fact that my children were able to be comfortable and play on the floor with out getting sick The fact that I could not use my debit card that I reserved my room with and I had to put 100 Cash deposit
Location is great The doors room key doesn't work for a lot of rooms. They said that it was an ongoing issue. So everytime my wife and I left the room we had to wait 15 to 20 mins for the front desk person to come open it. Then their was only 1 of them and they had to do check ins at the same time. All together we wasted about 3 maybe even 4 hrs of our stay waiting to get in the room we paid for. We ask two days for a manager and they always said he wasn't on site. Then the front desk ppl caught attitudes because they had to walk us up to our rooms a lot. They could have said they had issues with their doors and I would have went across the street to the other hotel.
Hotel was very nice, centrally located with lots of restaurants & shops within walking distance. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. Will stay here again, if ever in this area again.
Good location relative to Carowinds Room/bathroom was a bit small. Bathroom door opened outward and blocked the entrance door.

Great experience. Beautiful room, great staff and a great neighborhood.
Staff is always very helpful and friendly
Large room with full kitchen Parking was very crowded

Price and suite style room Gentleman working the breakfast area was so friendly and outgoing. Some of the furniture was old and a little worn. Stain on the bedspread. Room smelled vaguely like smoke although nonsmoking. The hotel was rated so highly on websites that I expected more.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish the thicker decorative blinds would slide to cover more of the window so that I didn't get sun first thing in the morning. Not a real big deal though.

clean, location, great staff not an exception breakfast
The size of room and having breakfast everyday. Friendly helpful staff
Comfy room, great hi-def channel offerings. Pleasant smell in hotel and room. Front desk staff *more* than helpful during my all-day seminar. Highly recommend.
Location close and convenient to family we visited. Enjoyed complimentary breakfast, pool and gym.
We enjoyed the space in the room the cost of the night stay and the staff
I enjoyed the very nice and helpful staff, accommodations and the great breakfast.
Breakfast was good. Room was okay - an older hotel with some remodeling
Cheap, close to the airport and free shutles running every 30min.
They did not have my reservation that I booked through booking.com. I had to negotiate the deal with staff. There must be a problem in the system. Did you charge me separately for the booking? I want to make sure I didn't pay twice.
The room was just as expected - the same setup as every other Springhill Suites. The room was significantly smaller to the point where the pullout sofa could not even be pulled out and hit the tv stand. The room ad a faint odor that my kid made a comment about.
I liked all of it. personnel is excellent all around. shuttle readily available. distance from airport is less than two miles. I got a good rate on internet site. not a problem for me, but the wake up call were jets from clt flying overhead
I normally stay at Marriott Courtyard when I travel to Charlotte. This time, due to the great ratings on TripAdvisor, I stayed at the Hampton Inn. It was wonderful - far superior to the Courtyard. I've definitely found my home away from home.
The king suite was spacious, luxurious and clean. Everything was top notch The morning staff did not cue me for the airport shuttle as they said they would. Did not have as much professionalism as the night staff.
Very close to airport; prompt shuttle service and beautiful rooms. The bed was very comfortable.
The location was wonderful. We went to a Panthers game Friday night and was only a 15 minute drive to the hotel after the game. Even though it was 1 AM when we arrived, the staff was friendly and very helpful. I liked that the hotel had a security guard patrolling the parking lot. Saturday morning we went to the National White Water Center and it was only a 18 minute drive with traffic. Pool and hot tub were nice after a hard day of paddling and rope courses. Our room was quiet except for the occasional plane passing over. Thoroughly pleased with the breakfast options. I would definitely stay here again. Hard to find the hotel entrance from the highway since it is part of a thru way from the Mobile gas station. I drove past it twice before I was able to enter.
It was just gross. For example, I took a hot shower and the bathroom doesn't vent well. The steam condensed on the ceiling and in some cases dripped onto the ground. The drips were this incredible yellow buttery mess. One of the most repulsive things I have ever seen in my life. Also it is very close to the airport but it is not possible to walk there, no matter which way you go you'll have to walk on a highway eventually, so you will have no choice but to take a $14 cab. (That's the minimum fare) Also there's a much nicer hotel in the same parking lot, I can't believe I was so stupid.
Hotel was perfect. Pretty much brand new only three months old. Location was great walking distance to restaurants and a movie theater. Premium outlets was two exits away for shopping. Overall great experience!
Incredible breakfast bar, clean, neat rooms with functional layout. Bed was very comfortable, climate was perfect. Tons of outlets so we did not spend a bunch of time looking for those. Beautiful decor. Everything was very clean. Check in was pleasant and painless, parking was adequate.
I really liked how close it was to the airport and other food locations. The staff was unbelievably accommodating, specifically the shuttle driver Tim and the desk clerk Karol! They helped me find a delicious bbq place while i was laid over. Even offered to drive me there if there were not airport pickups, unfortunately there was. It's not the nicest hotel but it has 3 perks. AC worked well, water pressure was great, and it was close to the hotel with a free shuttle. The facilities were not very well maintained. Lots of scuff marks on the paint and general wear and tare was evident everywhere.
Updated TVs Stronger Breakfast Smokey Smell No Printer No Exercise Room Cigarette burns in bedding Inattentive Staff
I liked that there was NOT A FLOOD or that we had ELECTRICITY. That's about it The place smelled of smoke and other foul odors. The whole place. It was in a bad area of town. Beds were uncomfortable. Bathroom was old and hard to use. Would Never stay here again
Breakfast Not. Clean room had hole in the wall above the bed the TV did not work
The check in girl was friendly. The room was well used and in poor shape. The refrigerator door would not stay closed. The bed was so worn out my wife and I kept sinking into the black hole in the middle. Made for a very uncomfortable sleep.
Phone was flashing constantly, cord was detached and broken. Breakfast was below average, cheap powdered cream for coffee, poor selection. Noise from other guests. Poor breakfast,
The location was close to airport Shuttle was not labeled with hotel name, desk clerk was rude when calling
I liked the price for the location You get what you pay for. It was what a $40 a night hotel should be.
Located near interstate. The staff was extremely inattentive & rude. The front desk attendants acted as though it was a huge burden to even greet guests. When they had to interact with guests the staff instantly got attitudes and acted like the guests were an interruption to their day. Even for simple tasks such as checking in or out. The significantly smaller room than pictured was less than mediocre, at best. There was an unbelieveable amount of cigarettes burns on the furniture and the bedding. Only 2 electrical outlets worked in the entire room. The TV & the alarm clock was broken. The sheets on the bed were dingy & stained. The lock on the door was barely attached anymore. The floors were disgusting, as was the bathroom shower The wall trimming was completely detached from the walls in the bedroom and bathroom. Lastly, in the hallways of the floor I stayed on there was a very loud and a very public domestic dispute that occurred. And not one single hotel official came to check on the incident! There were literal screams for Help throughout the hallways. The staff was definitely informed & yet, they did nothing. The absolute worst hotel experience of my life!!
The rooms are so small. Front lobby looks more like a crack house. Worn out sofas that I would not want to sit on in fear of bugs. Front desk spent more time on the phone then he did in checking me in. Gave me the room key and never said thank you or enjoy your stay. I took the key and said thank you to him. Al I heard was crickets from him.
Nothing at all. I went to the airport, sleeping in s chair at the airport was better than this place. It was horrible. I think it's funny they have a rewards program, I really doubt anyone uses this chain twice. Upon arriving, I bothered the front desk girl, I blocked her view of the television. The entire time checking in, she didn't speak to me or get up from her chair. The room was gross. By the desk, there was food on the wall from the previous guest, nobody cleaned up. The AC unit was too old and loud to have on while I watched tv or spoke on the telephone. Parts of the AC were laying on the floor. Menus and literature were soaking in the standing liquid that was in the desk. The toilet was not bolted to the floor, and rocked back and forth, you could hear water sloshing around, horrible odor in the bathroom. I would guess the seal is broken and that's raw sewer fumes. The shower was filthy and had been patched with something. I decided to not shower, I am sure I was cleaner than the shower. There were to soap or shampoo in the room either, and I didn't feel like asking Miss Personality at the front desk. There were pubic hairs on the bedspread and pillow case. So gross. I just went back to the airport, I wanted to sleep in a cleaner chair in a public airport terminal rather than try to rest at Microtel. On a positive note, the late shift girl there greeted me. That was the only positive thing I can say. If you are looking for a terrifying ride with a grumpy shuttle bus driver, this is your place.
It was cheap and the rooms were definitely adequate. The bedding was uncomfortable and the breakfast was underwhelming.
