When checking into the Robey, it was mentioned that we were there to celebrate my birthday. After about 30 minutes of getting settled into the room there was a knock on the door and it was the staff member who had checked us in. He was delivering a bottle of wine and birthday card to me. Little touches like that are so much appreciated. Would stay there every time i go to Chicago.
laid back place, back door entry so you don't bother other guests.
I like breakfast at this apartment and It is near cta. I feel no safe when I went back at after evening or early 12:00 pm.The guest should take the cap or their vehicle.
The location is in a wonderful neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and stays out of your way.
it is a fantastic antique designed bed and breakfast place. I definitely had a great time, staff are very friendly and helpful. breakfast was amazing everyday , I have never seen such a place that you can specify your breakfast choice in detail. I think shared bathroom and toilet is not my type (just a preference) but it was always clean and in good condition so I cannot say it was inconvenient.
I liked very much the Lady of House of Two Urns. Hotel was quiet and crew very friendly. Location was perfect for city trip. Subway and bus stop were near. Only minus was, that hotell hard to find, becourse there`s no visible sign on the wall. Best regards Ari Marttila, Finland
Unusual but appealing concept, very nice, clean room, comfy bed, hi quality linens, towels and robes with awesome steam shower. Decent neighborhood, not loop but not far (again a plus for us, but not for all) Our room (3A) overlooked the street and street noise penetrated readily, light sleepers beware. Noise from other rooms also penetrated easily but neighbors were very respectful, thus minimizing a potential issue (quiet requested from all guests).
Cute, clean room in a great location, very close to public transportation and food. The AC was on and the room was very cold (50 degrees F according to the thermometer) when I arrived. I turned on the heat, left for dinner, and when I came back the room was still only 62 degrees.
Location was awesome! Very cool neighborhood, super close to the train. Rooftop deck has a great view and folks like to hang out up there at night and get to know each other. Nice, clean bathrooms. Free pancakes every morning! Customer service was lacking, our room got changed at the last minute and the website suggested free on site parking but really we had to park about 8 blocks away.
I loved it so much I was going to extend my stay but it was all booked up for a weekend music festival.
Clean room very friendly staff (this was my first time at a hostel) and tim answered all my questions before i even asked so they better give him a raise The holes on storage locker should be made to fit smaller locks
Great price. Hip, clean space with nice lounge and amenities. Guy at the desk was really helpful!
Only the location. The price (rate) is much higher than th facilities avaiable The sharing of rest room for 4 rooms and poor uninviting breakfast service.
Very quaint, fun place to stay. Very close to cool restaurants and clubs. Just two blocks from the train station to get to downtown. The price was very reasonable.
Friendly helpful staff
Nothing it was terrible. It was just 1 small, dorm like room, that could fit 4 people. The wifi was very slow. We had to wait for other people to finish using the bathrooms. The bathrooms inside were unsanitary and not clean. We had to climb up stairs with our luggage.
I've stayed in many hostels, and this was one of the coolest, between the neighborhood, restaurant, lounge area, decor, very nice bathrooms, and private rooms for such a low-cost. I came home with a few suspicious looking bites on my backs and legs. Not cool......... I know it's budget lodging but I've stayed in worse hostels without getting bed bug bites.
Even though it is a hostel, it was quite clean and felt pretty homey, so that was a plus. I wish there were more bathrooms.
The room is simple and small, but the basement provided a common place which includes everthing - kithen, couch, TV, computers, free breakfast, table soccer, books, games, tea and coffee, very convinent!

Perfect for a solo trip. Since it's close to the Blue line its easy to get around the city. The bathrooms could have used more regular attention.
This is more a dorm style accommodations, but the room was exactly what we needed, a place to sleep, shower, and hold our things while we were out. Perfect spot, cheap, and super friendly staff! About the only bad thing is the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable. If you have back problems, I wouldn't recommend it.
This is a very clean hostel. The walls are pretty thin. Though we had no issues with other people being loud, we could constantly hear doors slamming. I would recommend that they tell their patrons to refrain from letting the doors slam.
