Lots of little touches - 3hours free internet per day, nice bathroom accessories, very comfortable bed, big TV Absolutely nothing
The quality and standard of the hotel and the assistance given to me when i asked if they could arrange a shuttle to the airport and also if they would check with a car hire company regarding the delivery of a car for me, this assistance was very welcoming. I could not fault the hotel in anyway at all.
Clean, comfortable accomodation. Friendly staff. Proximity to Isaac Theatre Royal. The room was too hot and the air conditioning was ineffective.
Even though the total booking was already paid, the hotel charged me again. Now I'm trying to get my money back, what wouldn't be necessary if the staff were well informed. I got an offer at the moment of the booking but when I checked out I had to pay again, and for the current price, which was higher. I still don't know whose is the fault, the hotel or website. I hope this comment is useful to advice other people or at least to improve the services of both.
Quiet. Welcoming front desk and entry. Helpful staff. Good sized bathroom. Good food available. Excellent room rate. Espresso coffee avaiable. All in all a pleasant stay considering the earthquake had occurred on 2 weeks earlier. Please pass on my Thanks to the staff. Exercise equip. could perhaps be of a better standard.
location - poor and expensive breakfast - towels were not very clean - gym is not realy a gym - it doesn't have any dumb-bells
The Sheep in the Lobby Every one calls you Bro plus there was an aful lot of New Zealanders at the Venue
Location - right in the centre of Christchurch, New & Modern No Problems
A nice hotel
Excellent location, great rooms and friendly staff
Wifi access, large safe and location. Access to room before designated time. Excellent all round
Went for the rugby and the ajoining rooms were well fitted out and suited our needs perfectly for 2 couples. well situated in the heart of the city and great private, clean hotel room.
Convenient location. Ability to cook own meals. Bed too soft.
The friendly, easy going helpfulness of all staff. The perfectness (not sure if that is a word) of the location. The ease of the web site to book a room from within N.Z and from overseas. We all found the rooms too warm and there was no a.c.
our stay at Quest Christchurch was a very pleasant one from start to finish. The staff on reception were very efficient and had us checked in and an upgrade from a one bed to a three bed given very quickly. The apartment was very clean and comfortable .
Safe, secure and central. Nothing
Staff were very helpfull
The apartment was located in the excellent old government buildings. The rooms were spacious, well equiped and comfortable. The staff were helpful and attentive. I thought that charging for filter coffee was a little mean (we had just spent several weeks touring NZ in motels where at least one cup of fiter coffee was included).
We were given a room on the 11th floor with a big pillar right in the middle of it which obstructed the view of the TV (room 1103 I believe). When we arrived at 2pm the room wasn't ready - we were told to come back at 3pm even though the room should have been ready at 2pm based on their website information. The breakfast was fairly limited for a hotel of this standard and was in a cramped room - I saw a few people were told to wait for a while when they arrived for breakfast as there wasn't enough room.
On arrival I was upgraded into a two bedroom apartment ( I was sharing a room with a colleague as part of a conference ). This was unexpected and extremely pleasant. I have no complaints with the hotel at all.
the location and the room cost for internet - 29$ for 24h is expensive but still resonnable if you limit the usage to 100MB it's extortionate and totaly away from customers needs.
good breaskfast, good location you need to pay a lot for internet access
The location The fridge made a lot of noise and we had to switch it off during the night. The bed gave me a backpain and when my partner moved that movement woke me up
We had a suite in the old building which was lovely except for the street noise late at night - we were on the back overlooking the tram station. On reflection a room in the tower building may have been more restful!
Centrally located by Cathedral Square with good room/facilities and very helpful hotel staff
Nice old hotel
Prime location. Great free health centre with pool, spa, sauna and exercise equipment. Excellent staff. Recommend upgrade to suite.
Location was great. The kitchenette was good, The noise! I was allocated a room on the second floor and there was no double glazing so it was very noisy from the exterior of the building (particularly at night when you were trying to sleep).
The bed was extremely comfortable It was very noisy at night because our room was directly above the pub
The fact that it so close to the City. Staff were excellant with advice The price of valet parking and that everytime we got the car back, the radio station and air controlls had been changed.
Restaurant was excellent Check in was slow
It was just wonderful. nothing bad to say at all. when booking i was not aware that you were so newly opened till we saw an artical in new paper about hotel. lovely... and we will be back!!! mary&aidan no.
It's a new hotel, good location, really good breakfast, very high room standard, if we will come back to Christchurch again this will be the hotel, we will use again
Its clean modern rooms and perfect location The rooms were on the smaller side, but really not an issue
We stayed in the Heritage room and were delighted with the old world feel yet with v modern facilities. Loved the high ceilings. Bathroom excellent. It was very central to all the things we wanted to do.
We needed to change rooms on arrival as the first option was too close to the street and noisy. The hotel staff at reception were very obliging and assisted us with our request.
Design of the room, lobby, access to PC, great breakfast, location Parking
Excellent restaurant - both decor and food. Heritage room was spacious and comfortable. Lobby staff friendly, helpful and efficient Neighbouring bar patrons were noisy in the early hours of the morning.
Location. No room ready until 9pm and delays with porterage on first visit. Our tour rep. fought to get us drinks and snacks while we waited. Second visit was much-improved, with letter of apology waiting for all those who has experienced problems.
The Ibis Christchurch was a well maintained hotel with friendly staff and great facilities. Quiet rooms and a very central location
staff was quick and efficient, friendly and helpful. rooms are too small, but as we stayed there with a baby and a stroller, it is no wonder...For two people being outside all time it´s ok.
The location. Situated in city centre. The rooms are very compact hardly space to move around.
Proximity to central city; ease of paid parking; simple and straightforward service; clean and modern We booked in April, but on arriving with our booking forms for our stay in December, it was clear our booking had not been registered or had become lost. Notwithstanding that, in a bout 20 minutes a rom had been found and our holiday commenced.
The hotel was very central and close to all amenities. We also found it very friendly and great value.
Internet access in my room. no bell boy to help with bags
The location was very close to the very center of the city.
The friendliness and warmth, the attention to guests there was not enough car spaces on our first night, not a criticism just a comment really
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location was excellent, close to Cathedral Square, I-Site, shops etc.We stayed for 5 nights and when we moved on to Kaikoura for a night the hotel stored our main luggage free of charge. Would definitely stay there again - great value for money. Can't think of anything we didn't like!
Excllent location, helpful staff cramped rooms, wifi charges atrocious
