The hot shower was nice and the full Irish breakfast was yummy We checked in at 0930 got to our room but found that they put us in a differnt room than I had booked. Much smaller and the smoke smell was very strong. Also during through out the day hours a small dog kept barking which was annoying.
Very clean place and reasonably priced. Would love to come back again!
The B&B was very quaint, the breakfast was awesome & the owner was charming. the smell of cigg smoke was constant
I think it is deceiving with a name like Blarney Stone and we thought it was 10 min walk away from Blarney Castle, not 20 mins drive. Should have stayed at the Blarney Castle Hotel in blarney not cork.
Beautiful room in a tastefully decorated guesthouse. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful.
pleasantly decorated, nice atmosphere, very clean. Breakfast took ages to serve,3/4 hour, not good if you are in a hurry. Also about 15 min walk from any restaurants or bars. No lift, difficult as I was with an 78 year old and we were on the top floor, 4 flights up.
The ownner was very friendly and helpful. The house was impeccable... all furnishings are of a very high standard and everywhere was spotless. The breakfast was very good. It is in a very central locatiion. We felt that the room, though luxuriously furnished and decorated, was cramped, and definitely too small for 3 people. (It was classed as a super double). It contained a small double and a single bed. Luckily, there were only two of us and we were comfortable for our one night stay.
There was nothing that I liked about my stay there. The owner smokes heavily and consequently all of the rooms smell of smoke. The wifi does not work above the second floor. The location is not very close to anything a tourist is interested in seeing. Indeed, it had an industrial look to the neighborhood.
Took ages to get breakfast in morning if anyone was in ahead of you. our friends asked to be moved to room at front as their room was above kitchen and owners quarters and smell of cooking and cigarette smoke was quite strong
brilliant breakfast, and great afternoon tea
Wonderful experience. The ownership was welcoming and very helpful. Our dinning experience for Breakfast was truly "Irish". It was overall a delightful experience. Will go back if I have the chance. Nothing I did not like.
Breakfast is excellent. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
We particularly liked our very warm welcome. The breakfasts are magnificent. On our last day, after we had checked out, they gave us a lovely afternoon tea as it was a horrible afternoon. We found that everyone ate breakfast at the same time, so it was hard to find a table. The food was so good that everyone stayed a long time at breakfast.
great breakfasts small room
Friendlinessof staff Nothing
Best guest house i have ever stayed in
Wonderful ... the host was very welcoming, rooms cosy and food superb. Attention to detail with afternoon tea a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.
Breakfast - excellent
The service was unbelievable - from the moment you step into the B&B you are made to feel so welcome. The rooms are beyond comfortable and include lots of little touches such as heaters in the bathrooms and pillow-top mattresses on the bed. As soon as you arrive, you are given fresh, home-made scones, danishes, and fresh tea and coffee. Wonderful service from a wonderful B&B!
The breakfast was good. When I arrived, the owner claimed he did not receive the fax advising of my reservation for a double room. He first sent me to a twin room which had little space. After complaining, he moved me to a room with two twin beds and said he would push them together. He did not do that. Overall I was unimpressed with the accommodations.
Central pleasant location, old-style building , some old stucco and decorations throughout the building. Nervous owner, jittery Faulty Towers style. No socket near kettle. Sloping floor.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional. The one outstanding factor was the food the breakfast although a little slow in being served it was delicious, piping hot and fresh.
The service was excellent, the bed was great, and there was always someone ready to answer any question. I actually liked everything. I recommend Audley House.
The Audley House has charm, a helpful and very personable hotelier, and an excellent location, between the university and a park, along a major thoroughfare into the city. We liked everything.
Staff were very friendly, room and en-suite very clean and comfortable.
quite and comfortable
Clean, efficent staff, comfie bed. Excellent breakfast Room was next to the street
The staff were very helpful and kind. The guesthouse is located in a silent and easy corner of the town yet at a walking distance. The room was small and spotlights were shining in through the night. The shape of the guesthouse may be inconvenient for old people.
Rose lodge was very conveniently situated just 5 minuites walk from downtown cork although the bed and breakfast is on a main road the windows are double glazed so traffic is hardly heard
Friendly staff, good clean rooms and good Irish breakfast. Rate was very reasonable and location good for walking into town.
Relaxed atmosphere. Quiet at night.
Friendly hostess and location.
Very fashionably decorated room. Staff was very friendly and charming. Nothing. Location is about 10 minutes walk but on nice area.
Courteous Staff and good breakfast The tv only seemed to have like 3 channels which were repeated over and over, but I wasn't there for tv anyway, so it was alright.
Very good Location...friendly staff...good for 1 overnight Modest bedroom size and toilet...nothing spectacular
Good clean basic room, plenty hot water for shower. None really, apart from I did not like the .horrible colour walls in the room
Our hostess and host were friendly and helpful. They keep the place very fresh and clean. It is in a safe location near enough to the city center to walk.
Was very clean, had a jacuzzi bath. Close to town, Only 20 mins to Main St. Free parking. Couldn't turn off heating.
The staff were exceptionally friendly No
It was bright and clean. Breakfast was very good.
Wonderful family-run B&B which deserves the nicest of compliments, had a great stay all too short, and would definitely recommend. Una is a sweetheart too.
Very homely, nice house with very nice hosts. Rooms are clean and pleasant. Breakfast is very good and reasonably priced.
Good location to city centre, friendly service basic and clean facilities. Room was cold as heating not on all the time plumbing noisy ie when shower/taps turned on!
the very very comfortable wecolmeing house.the staff couldnt have been more friendly. they were all very helpful accommodating and pleasant.nothing was any trouble to them.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable. The location was excellent especially if you intend to visit U.C.C or the city centre. The price was also very reasonable.
Lovely and warm. Breakfast was really nice and staff were very friendly
Tiny, good location
Sheer convenience to town excellent value for money, staff very friendly and helpful
Great Location, Lovely Clean House, Beautiful breakfasts that filled you up for the day, great staff, will definitely be back.
Can't think of any. Grimy, tatty, dirty ... could think of more, but you get the idea.
Unpretentious b & B. Nice welcome from a nice family. Pleasant breakfast, spacious room albeit sparse. No tiles by the wash hand basin in toilet. Tired decor with some lose fittings, particularly the electrics.
The welcome was lovely; free upgrade offered. Redclyffe provided a very tasty and well cooked breakfast. Complements to the chef.
ideal location to city centre, walking distance to nightlife, parking available. Very friendly staff and a good irish breakfast. I will be staying at the Redclyffe again in the near future.
Clean and nice, good breakfast and nice rooms!
Helena the owner welcomed us into our home. her hospitality was wonderful and not only was the house very comfortable, she went out of her way to make sure were comfortable and happy. Will recommend!! Nothing at all
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Very close to city centre.
the girl working there was extremely nice and very pleasant Although the b&b is very central is much more expensive that b&bs in the area that might also include breakfast for the same price.
Excellent location (about a 10 minute walk to the cIty centre, opposite the front of University College Cork gates) and very friendly, helpful staff. Recommended.
Enjoyed your stay in the self catering room which was situated at another premises. Helena made us feel at home.
Loved this one, very cute and clean. Excellent facilities and staff were awesome.
Lovely, very clean hotel in a good location. Would most certainly stay here again.
sub standard accomadition and way over priced, poor value for money
The homemade pudding served with a cup of tea for welcoming was excellent!
The man working the front desk was great. We were surprised that we were not actually staying in the Killarney Guest House. The owner of the guest house owns the 3 buildings next to each other. We had rooms in 2 of the buildings.
Excellent. Tidy and friendly staff.
Cheap and close enough to the city centre. Room was a little dated but for the price it was adequate. Bathroom was very small - WC with a tiny shower.
There was an odour in the room that I stayed in which gave the impression of poor hygiene, however surfaces and textiles did appear to be well cleaned..
very welcoming lady whom Imet first.wonderful breakfast
unexpected upgrade to apartment, breakfast selction
The check out time was too early
Room was large and clean and in a great location for what we needed. Only slept at hotel - did not use any of the facilities.
Coffe and tea making facilities and the privacy I think that the price of breakfast was too expensive and so I went elsewhere, I think if the breakfast was included in the room I would be ore inclined to stay on my next trip.
The staff were very friendly. It's very close to the city centre. I was in room no.12 which is next to the reception. It was very noisy in the morning .
The bathroom could do with being treated for mould removal as it was all over the ceiling.
Lots of space for parking. No complimentary wifi, shower was so powerful it would not stay mounted on the wall and it sprayed all over the floor. Temperature of shower was lukewarm to cold and kept fluctuating.
Thank you for pleasant stay. Love the large bed even though I am a single traveller.I have no problem with free wi-fi here - thanks.
Outstanding friendly service and welcomes with a cup of tea, even though I arrived very early. Located directly across from the main University campus.
The guest house is within easy reach of the city centre and UCC is just across the road. The rooms we're clean and comfortable. I only wish I was there long enough to try out the Jacuzzi. A more general comment than anything else, but all hotels and guest houses in Cork are seriously over-priced. If you want people to stay, reduce your rates. This was one of the cheaper options and although breakfast was included, I unfortunately didn't get to taste that either... maybe I'm just lazy, but they could try to extend the breakfast time beyond 9:30am.
The rooms were well appointed and of good quality. The breakfast was superior. The staff were friendly. Room on the front suffered slightly from street noise at night even with the windows closed. Not a huge problem just noticeable.
Room was clean and distance from city centre was within walking distance. Ample parking at rear of house. Breakfast time is too early with weekend breakfast finished by 9 o clock.
Enjoyed my stay. I travel to Cork on business and look forward to going back. Lovely room. Very clean. Great pancakes at breakfast!
nice and comfy
