Very relaxing, very polite staff. Rooms/bathrooms could be a bit cleaner .Not enough etertainment in the evenings.
Staff were very good and polite.
Our young girls (7 and 8 years) enjoyed the pool....as there seemed to be plenty of other kids to meet. The pathway along upper edge of the beach was great for running (exercise), while the beach itself was not. The hotel needs a facelift. It seemed a bit threadbare in places....

We enjoyed the proximity to the beach, the huge garden and the set-up of the rooms in individual houses in the local style. The rooms and especially the bathrooms need to get a good clean and small repairs should be undertaken.
Nice hotel, good food, nice location...the beach was dirty and needs to be clean with a group of people every day, the hotel should really employ few full time people to do the job of cleaning the beach from all the dirt that gets whashed up on the shore!
peaceful atmosphere and staff hospitality, and of course the beach. Breakfast was not included in the rate which was a bit surprising and extra charge for breakfast relatively expensive!
The friendliness of the staff.Breakfast was very good.
Staff were fantastic, always friendly and smiling. Fantastic location for our family in the gorgeous Sanur. Beautiful pools and good kids club
beautifully maintained garden, easy access to beach, good spa, friendly staff I had booked an additional night (after previously booking 4 nights) via booking.com, however, when I checked in, the hotel had no knowledge of this extension of my stay. That was confusing since booking.com had already confirmed my reservation. The hotel eventually booked me another night, but in a more expensive room.
Nice pool and breakfast Very big hotel, rooms need refurbishment, when you book ask for the new ones.
The staff were all fantastic, especially Pandi who worked at the pool/activities desk. The free scuba diving lesson available at the pool were a lot of fun. No
Great atmosphere, very competent and friendly staff, good food. Location away from beach compensated by free shuttle bus. Internet speed next to nothing and very high priced
The staff is very friendly, they really made us feel at home. Excellent breakfast buffet, fast and proper laundry service. Good restaurants, Sanur Harum and Komodo. Enjoyed the live musicians. Free transfer to Sanur center and private beach of the hotel. Free internet connection via cable (UTP; RJ45) in Pool Side View room. Good wireless reception in whole hotel area. Tourism desk. Good security. We recommend the Pool Side View room, the easy access to the swimming pool is very nice. Excellent adjustable airconditioning. No free internet in Superior Rooms. The bathroom is fine and clean, but can use some renewal.
Calm and not noisy Wifi was not free
The upgraded room was excellent - access to the Club Room was a terrific feature. Excellent gym. The pool was a good configuration although they had to clean off the green bacteria almost every day [perhaps chlorine levels were a little low?]. Some of the reviews I read about the hotel were either wildly positive or the complete opposite. we were a little concerned about our stay prior to arriving as a result of these reviews. However, the hotel was well set out and we had a terrific stay. The service time from ordering to receiving a meal in the cafe was quite slow - but it is Bali!
Pool area was nice and tropical. Lobby area had nice gift shops. Breakfast buffet was good. Room was worn and outdated. Twin beds were better suited for a dormitory. Called to have refrigerator unlocked and no one ever came for the two days we were there.
Foods is very good.Nice ambient.Personal services it's ok.Long distance to the beach. Don't use taxi service from the hotel
Great staff! Fine on information and efficiency. Friendly and knowledgable. Good internet connection (free). The hotel is a bit 'jaded', 'tired', 'old'. The rooms need renovation, especially the bathroom, with many fixtures not quite in working order.
roomservise is very quick and good. the staff in loungebar very nice but didnt see when our glass was empty and when we order take a long time when we get the drink.
It was very peacefully at the Resort. The staff were always happy to answer any questions and offer advise. It was wonderful & relaxing to have a villa with a private lap pool. The resort was a bit out of the way. You always had to get a shuttle to go anywhere. The resort does supply regular return shuttles to Sanur (town) as well as "drop off only" to Kuta & Nusa Dua.
pool in room
Room was lovely, very tastfully decorated A long way out of SAnur & the beach. , public areas needed attention & updating, as were a little run down, especially reception & pool area. Our mosquito net inthe room was dirty & needed changing
It was good to be away from tourist and meet more locals and local Warungs The cold food at breakfast.
The Yani Hotel Bali is located in a nice area if you want to travel around the island. In terms of conditions is not the best hotel. Specially our room, which was supposed to be Superior. Not so clean and also the employees didn't expect the room needed to be clean. The breakfast was not good, during my stay (18 days) it was always the same. AC was not working properly.
This is one of the worst place I ever stayed and definitely the worst quality-price deal. The hotel (it is more like a motel) is in the middle of nowhere. The room was dirty (brown spots on the bed sheets and all over the floor and walls) and full of mosquitoes; the bathroom drain was covered on hairs and it flooded after a shower; the air condition did not work. The staff was rude too. Attached to the cafeteria there is a kind of “karaoke” with blackened glasses and loud music on from 8 am, a very weird place.
Clean room Very very noisy : wedding in the restaurant right in the center of the hotel with very loudy music, we couldn't speak to each other in the room although we had a room far from the restaurant; the next day, there were a band rehearsal in the same room (for a congress) which started at 8 in the morning, the music was so loud that the window shivered!I asked the staff the day before if there were a wedding coming, they said "noooo, no weeding, no noise" although there were the bride in her white dress standing in front of the restaurant! The breakfast is awful and the garden smells very bad. The staff barely speaks english. Definitely don't go there
The staff who help. the hotel is not worse to pay even 20 $. Old, no internet in room, no garden. Dark rooms
good location. very poor hotel staff.
The weather was perfect and being able to walk along side the beach for beach walks. We had the pleasure of a rather large rat in the bedroom followed by ants and no hot water for two days!!!!!!!
A convenient hotel with easy access to beach and promanade walks close to restaurants and shops
The hotel was not luxury, but it is very nice and comfortable. For the price, the hotel was much nicer than I anticipated; a very good bargain for the area. The staff are friendly and try to be helpful. There were lots of trainees, so assistance was sometimes a little slow - but you're in beach paradise so what does it really matter. When eating lunch at the tables the hotel has out on the beach, it would have been nice if the staff would have tried to keep away the women trying to sell massages, manicures or stuff from their market stalls. We started to avoid the beach area right outside the hotel because we could not step foot without being harassed by the women; they stand over your chair for a good 5 minutes hoping that their presence will change your mind. This is common all along the beach, but while I was in the area managed by the hotel, I hoped for some peace. The only way to get this was to stay at the pool area instead.
Just 2 Minutes walk from the sea, well placed in Sanur.Food is good and the balineese night diner show twice a week is just amazing . Swimming pool is big and deep , nice place to stay for a week. Garden is hudge and very open. Hotel staff is warm and helpfull and welcoming. Bath room was quite smelly and not clean , as well the towells . Better to use the swimming pool facilities.Governemental hotel so the atmosphere is a bit rigid and military frozen.
beach and breakfast
near the beach the bath room
Proximity of the beach Security services, restaurant very limited
We enjoyed the beach and the way the staff treated us. It was as decsribed and the location was lovely. We did not like that there was not alot of hot water and it was only switched on at certain times. That wa very disappointing and frustrating. That is something they do need to look at.
Right on the beach, nice boardwalk with good restaurants, etc. Not as nice design wise, as some on the strip, seemed a bit dated but was clean, nice pool and well worth the money.
The owners were very nice and friendly. The central location is good to go anywhere in Bali for day trips. Although not a beachfront location, it offered a good balance for access to key Bali locations. I would recommend staying here and money saved to hire a car with driver for day trips around Bali. Once the hotel is complete it is an ideal location for both business and holiday travelers.
We spent two nights at this resort in June 2010. Attentive service. Well appointed room. Beautiful lanscaped gardens around the two pools. Wide range of dishes at the breakfast buffet. The location is excellent - right on the fine sand beach, easy walking to restaurants and shops on a sidewalk along the beach. Less traffic of cars and motorcycles than other beach areas. Free internet is available in the lobby but not guest rooms. For a rest this hotel and the surrounding beach areas would be an excellent place. Other beach areas in southern Bali are congested with cars and motor cycles producing an unpleasant experience!!
The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The pool area was nicely designed. Meal portions were small. Wireless internet capabilities were limited
the gardens, the staff, the smallness of it and the breakfast room. A long walk from the street with all the restaurants and shops.
Bad location - quite far to the beach (10 minutes to public beach), very small pool in hotel, quality of rooms (I had de lux) differ from internet webside, high humidity in the room. Overall, Sanur is a dirty, ungly and unpleasent place for tourists (two classes lower than Kuta and three classes vs. Nusa Dua)
Nice and friendly employees Grabby Bathroom, Poor Breakfast
drinks by the pool, excellent staff, breakfast included toilet didn't flush properly, although fixed when mentioned to staff, no fly wire on bathroom window so had lots of mozzies
we got a nice room overlooking the property with balcony, as we booked it. I would have preferred a breakfast buffet instead of choosing a breakfast menu.
The room was large, clean and everything worked! I did not like the breakfast, it was included as American Breakfast but was very basic and small.
Beautiful gardens and pool area. Stairs
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Resort was charming and had a real Balinese feel. Enjoyed the peace and quiet of a secluded hotel. Onsite restaurant had great food and excellent service in a lovely setting. Rooms were of excellent size. Rooms smelt a little musty, but probably due to the climate. Bathrooms are a little dated and when showering, couldn't contain water to the bathtub.
I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were helpful and really nice. The breakfast was excellent as you had a choice off the menu which was included in the price of the stay, not just a regular buffet cold breakfast , was cooked fresh to order. The room was cleaned daily and the sheets changed every 2 days. This hotel is very good value for what it cost to stay. The bathroms could be updated a little and the location although was only 10 minute walk from the beach during the day as you use a back street, however at night did not feel particularly safe to walk back from the beach and had to take a taxi as a lone female travellor. Hey you cant have it all!
