Location Only one large towel and one face towel were placed in the room
3rd floor outlook on to market traders yard was disgusting.we actually saw traders urinating a few times.this should be looked at by the management.
Cheap and good location Lost my phone in the lift shaft and the hotel didn't have any access to it.
The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfeast very goog.
The location of the hotel was excellent. Staff were friendly too. Price didn't include breakfast
My husband is disabled and he was treated so nicely and the staff was so accommodating . It was a boys weekend he and my son went on and at the end the ladies came out from behind the desk to give him a proper hug. That was lovely hotel was clean and the location is great.
English: If you like hotels in the heart of the city, in big busy noise street, this is a good locations hotel. Is a 2 star hotel not 4. The room is small, smells like cigarettes and has a bad heater. There's noting of luxury is the room. It's not worth the value.
location.. good to get anywhere!
Good price for location, close to city centre, helpful and friendly staff
The location is fantastic, very close to everything because it was just off O'Connell St. No.
The location of the hotel was perfect. Within walking distance to all central attractions in Dublin. The worst thing was on entering and leaving via the front enterance there was an awful smell of smoke and several people stood on the front steps smoking. Off putting.
Convenient locatoin and overall appearance of the hotel/room. Small room but manageable.
Decor and quality of room. Main reception was a bit officious when we first arrived. We had been delayed due to weather problems and I didnt think we got sufficient attention due to the fact it was late evening.
I like this Hotel and stay there often.
Location was good. Bar & Restaurant were all very good although expensive - where isn't in Dublin?! Bed, although double, was a bit small and uncomfortable. Air conditioning in room did not work properly (room was freezing though we did not complain) as did guest services on the TV for one whole day so it was hard to find any information as that was where the hotel directory is.
I loved the rooms, very pretty. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. The attached restaurant was also excellent. The price of breakfast was too much for what was offered.
It's in a great location! Staff was very pleasant. Not applicable
central location poor dining in facilities
We enjoyed our two night stay here so much we actually came back for a third night. This hotel is ideally located for touring around Dublin. We took a bus from the airport straight to the hotel, the tour bus lines leave from ten yards down the sidewalk and taxis line up right across the street. You are right across from the historic post office and the temple bar district is a 6 euro taxi ride away. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. If we go back to Dublin we would definitely stay here again. This hotel is situated right in the city so don't expect a view.
The central location of the hotel and car parking facilities and friendliness of the staff Slight confusement getting from the carpark into the hotel
The front desk staff were very efficient and friendly all during our stay, from check-in, having a 4 pm tea with a group of 12, and at check-out. The staff in the bar were outstanding in their cooperation to assist in setting aside and preparing a place for our afternoon group tea. Wonderful Irish friendliness.
Location Food and drink prices
in my room there aren't hot water for 2 days.
The man that greeted us as we were checking in, I believe he had to be the owner, he was just such a nice & welcoming person. I could hear the other guests thru the walls, they weren't doing anything wrong & it wasn't even that loud. It's just a comment.
The personal attention and friendliness. There were workmen in the building during my stay. A bit noisy and dusty.
I was lucky because my room was quiet, facing the backstreet.
Location to center of Dublin
Comfort and convenient location No
the second room we had very peaceful the first night we had a room overlooking a main road worst nights sleep of my life
Great Breakfast food with the most lovely staff. Irish Music in the hotel bar with Fire place going. It was great to have our familiy in one room...although the bathroom was so very small. with a tiny tv ... plus a smaller size room than our friends family room we traveled with yet paid the same price. Water pressure is not at all good either with cold showers on many occasion.
friendly helpful staff . excellent evening meal great irish entertainment on fri and sat nights adjoining breakfast room has no heating so it was too cold to go in so we waited for a table in the main room staff were great and hurried to sort a table for us .
Location very good - near to main street and 10 min walk to river side. Easy access to buses nearby.
We had a quiet room in a city hotel, much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also very easy to find coming from Dublin airport.
I deal position for shopping & local entertainment very close to O'connell Street for shopping. Would stay at this hotel again
We arrived late and the young man on reception was incredibly helpful. He was under pressure from some guests booking in ahead of us - obviously tired business men but remained cool, calm and friendly. Even apologising for the delay in registering us. He was most helpful also in relation to parking as the car park was full. This guy could give Customer Care Courses. Would have really liked to be able to reserve a car parking space. This would have given us the comfort of knowing the car had a safe home for the night and would have made our morning departure much easier.
quiet but within walking distance of town center
It's a brand new hotel, with modern rooms and facilities, very close to the centre. Good value for money.
The breakfast was very good During the night there was something noisy in the bathroom. It did not last the whole night .
Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast (reserve a day early and save 3 euros). Helpful staff. DIY baggage, clinging shower curtain, no hand towel ring / bar. Door hook broken.
The rooms are new and clean and the beds are very comfy and the central location The lack of parking, the information about the lack of parking, the chaos at breakfast as everything ran out and I had to keep asking for things, all the staff are foreign nationals and their English is of poor standard
Great location and very clean and friendly atmosphere.
It was pretty central to Dublin Town. We would have liked a drink on our return to hotel but we had to wait until some of the staff took our order as some of the guests told us the bar was closed.
The rooms were very well designed. The bed was probably the best I have slept in and the shower and bathroom were excellent. No
We had a pleasant stay at Maldron Hotel Parnell Square West. Staff is friendly Checkout and Check in was prompt and easy Location is great, just five to ten minutes walk to Oconell Street Area is safe Rooms are good sized and clean Cleaning staff is friendly Wifi is good
I liked the location and the breakfast was good , overall great value for money.
Very nicely located just off of McConnell Street. Easy to find and just off the bus line. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh cooked and tasty. Our room was on the 4th floor and they have no lifts. We had to drag all of our heavy luggage up about 60-80 steps. Recommend requesting a lower level room.
Not bad for a budget hotel. Our first room had a plumbing problem but the staff were quick to deal with this and relocated us, Thereafter everything was satisfactory, Breakfasts were limited in terms of range and quality. Shower room very small. Beds (especially pillows) were hard.
Tv was not working in room.kettle was not working.table lamp not working.otherwise room was comfortable
support of the staff, silence, size of the room wireless didn't reach the room, but I was informed by the staff at my arrival
The location and the staff. No wireless internet in the rooms as advertised. The room was smaller than I expected.
Location is great for visiting Dublin's city center. Good breakfast and comfortable clean rooms. Basic amenities. Free wireless does not work in all rooms (ie. 107)....
Good position, very close to the center
Location was excellent None for the price
Ideal location, very comfortable beds and friendly staff. No food available Sunday evening in bistro.
location, price, comfort
have stayed here twice before.staff very helpful and polite.good service and good food.excellent location nothing
I really liked the room where i stayed and the people who worked there. There aren't.
Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Literally the bus stop from Airlink from the Dublin airport is right in front of the hotel.
This hotel was in a perfect location for shopping being just off O'connell street with only a maximum 20minute walk to St. Stephens Green. (10minutes to temple bar area). The rooms were clean and modern with flatscreen tv. Breakfast is not included in the rate but available at an additional 12euros, however there are plenty of places to grab breakfast on O'connell street for less than this
Clean near everything!!
Central, satisfied with my choise Only one thing...the wash hand bason is funny...the tap is larger than it !! very uncomfortable
Location and value for money
The location was great for a tourist. Close to tour outlets, hop on and hop off bus stops and to a variety of restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, though small.
The staff throughout our stay were GREAT! Friendly, helpful, and polite, we were treated very well. The location is great for going out, just a short walk to Temple Bar. The rooms are tiny. We were a bit cramped both in the main area as well as the bathroom. Smokers hang out just outside of the main lobby doors so you're forced to walk through a cloud of smoke on your way in and out of the hotel. Very unpleasant!
The standard of room
Staff very friendly. Rooms starting to look tired.
Great hotel, lovely bar and resturant, good location and excellent staff, would definately return.
Spacious room, very good breakfast, pleasant staff and convenient location. A very nice place to stay.
The staff were particularly helpful and friendly.
Good all round hotel within walking distance of all that Dublin has to offer
Location pretty close to town. Friendly staff. Room (418) was compact but was lovely and warm despite being very cold outside. Quiet at night too. No veggie sausage at breakfast but lots of cereal, fruit, toasts and alternatives. Bus to airport stops on same street so very easy departure. Reception offered to store our luggage after check out until we left for our plane. A bit dated but adds to the charm.
Friendly staff, enquiries dealt with quickly, waitresses efficient and friendly, breakfast OK, (but layout problem, see below) Breakfast area awkward split-level layout and cramped; duvets too heavy and hot; make sure toilet paper is checked (that there's enough)!
Friendly staff at reception We stayed in the executive wing, which involved a long and covoluted access route. The smell of old fat and grease which emanated from the kitchen area and could be smelled from time to time in the lobby was offputting.
Our stay was great, Hotel warm comfortable and cosy. Perfect location to see Dublin city and to meet my family. Staff on reception very cheerful and welcoming.
Rooms warm and clean. All tastes catered for on breakfast menu. I liked the facility to store luggage on day of departure for later collection
The front of the Hotel is very noisey all night long. Breakfast was poor quality and expensive
Location was convenient for O'Connell St and the city centre. Our room was clean and spacious and at the back of the hotel, so was quiet at night, no road noise. Staff were very friendly and you could leave your luggage at reception after checking out if you were leaving later in the day. During the buffet type breakfast, at times there was a shortage of plates or cutlery so you were hanging around for the staff to get more. The range and quality of food was fine.
size of room we recieved was massive very noisy needs double glazing on front
I liked that there was no noise at night time, the rooms were warm and the water was warm They didnt serve food until half 3, so we had to go out for something to eat
The location is good, 15 minute walk to temple bar. Room was snug.
the receptionist on the day of departure was really lovely and truly helpful just what you want when you stay in a hotel.the location was excellent and the room was really cosy and comfortable the only fault we had was in relation to trying to get lunch in the bar on the day of arrival ,the staff were very slow and inefficient and non apologetic for the long delay in service .having ordered lunch we waited about 45 minutes and were still not served so we left and went to an alternative venue for something to eat.having said that i would use the hotel in the future
Location of the hotel was excellent. The staff was friendly enough, though they were definately not welcoming. That doesn't really matter, when faced with the excellent overall value for money Nothing significant
Ok for the price , but don't expect much. Bed was uncomfortable , strong smell of bleach in the bathroom. Avoid rooms in the back , pigeons constantly pecking at the window
very close to o'connell street and transport links for getting around dublin : ) small room an warm in summer, but probably luck of the draw!! what do you want for £50 a night.
The location is good due to be 5 min walk from city centre. You have towels, shower gel and shampoo provided, tv, kettle and a safe-deposit box to leave you values. They provide you with some tea bags, coffee, milk and sugar. You can leave the bags there after the check out, although they did not charge you might pay if you leave after 16h00. The room is basically the size of the bed and furniture is horrible, although the bed is quite comfortable. Go to this hotel only if you want to save money and if you want the bedroom only to sleep like we did. Breakfast is very expensive for what you get, but you can find several supermarkets 2 min walk and save loads of money - instead 11 euros each one at the hotel you spend 6 for both.
Everything was good. The Staff was very friendly and made our stay really nice. It's near the center. nothing in special.
comfortable bed, good breakfast, friendly staff, great location lack of local overnight parking advice
Kingfisher Townhouse is in an excellent city-centre location - a few minutes walk from O'Connell street. The breakfast is excellent.
Good central location, good breakfast Small room, breakfast in the restaurant next door
The close proximity to the main centre of Dublin One particular staff member was unhelpful and we felt we were an inconvienence. The room was not cleaned properly, the shower was blocked, the tv reception and size of tv was terrible, there was no plug for the sink. Finally we got hardly any sleep in three nights due to the noise.
value. For the $ it was a delightful accomodation. An alarm in the nearby grocery store went off for a real long period of time on two of the nights, but it was not the inkeepers fault and there was nothing they could do to resolve the issue. They did speak to the shopkeeper.
The reception lady was really friendly, kind and helpful. The location was perfect to go everywhere in the city centre, and the room was also very comfortable and warm. We enjoyed our stay. The room key was a little bit difficult to open and close the door.
Two bedroom appartment was very roomy with everything we needed. Breakfast was great.
Hotel has a very central location which is an excellent place to explore the city. Breakfast was also suprisingly generous and available till 12:00 which is very unusual. Despite of the fact that I have asked for quite room, the windows were located to the main street and even when windows were closed, the noise was close to not acceptable. Doors on rooms can be closed only when making horrible noise, which is not pleasant when your next door friends are coming home 3 a.m.
location is good not far to town center . Friendly bath room is really small
The room provided tea and coffee making facilities - although we had to ask for a new kettle as the lead on the original one in the room was heating up instead of the kettle! The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable and the bedside lamp shades were being held on by masking tape. The window was old and let in a draft so heating had to be turned up to the full.Having to ring a doorbell to be let in at night was also slightly frustrating.
The staff were very friendly and efficient and the room was comfortable though quite small. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Lots of tourist and city information available. The en suite shower room did the job, but was decidedly minimal on space - barely room to turn round in the shower (and I'm not over weight).
That all four of us could share a room, have individual beds, and be comfortable. It was same price as a hostel, but far better. Great deal! The bathroom was tiny, but it was no problem at all.
Very comfortable beds, basic accommodation but good value for money and close to the shops. Quite a walk to Temple Bar Room very basic, bathroom very small and sink was outside in the main room, quite noisy outside
Staff very helpful over parking, plenty of info material available, good breakfasts, surprisingly quiet (both internal & external noise) Felt a little run-down - eg fittings with no bulb in or damaged bulb. Would have preferred not to have to ring every time to get in the building.
Friendly staff, warm rooms on a very cold weekend, very clean excellent value for money and a reasonably central location.
very nice, very friendly staff, comfortable
the location was brilliant and all the staff were excellent and very helpful the decor could do with updating and the bathroom and shower needs maintainance and repair
The Clifden Guest house was clean and adequate . first impressions would be greatly improved if rooms had matching bedding instead of a mismatch of colours causing you to be disapointed at first opening of room door , the hallways are very nicely carpetted then open your room door and instantly feel let down .
The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly, they made our stay easy. The breakfast was poor
Lack of heating in rooms and bar, only put on at 6.00pm
The Irish welcome and the hotel's proximity to the city centre
Location-proximity to OConnell Street, ideal for shopping on the Northside. Long walk to the South side where most pubs and clubs are. The shared bathrooms were really a turn off. They were very old and also freezing cold. I didn't attempt a shower so was glad to be there only one night. Also the bathrooms were located two floors down from my room.
Room was fantastic- very comfortable and modern. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. The directions to the hotel were a little confusing and I wandered around for a while.
Hotel Staff No independent room heating Small double bed with extra single bed instead of larger double bed as we would have expected
Very friendly and helpful staff; good location
i booked the hotel mainly because it got good score, and the location and price sound good. but i was totally surprised when i was in the hotel. to be honest it was the worst hotel i ve even stayed. it called "2 star hotel".but is even worse than a lot youth hostel. thinking about price i ve paid less in paris, barcelona etc for much better conditions. at least all hotels i could have a shower. in this hotel i could not even wash my hands properly - u must save water in the wash basin to wash! - if you think it`s normal then try otherwise u will disappointed definately. advantage for your trip is that you will be active outside since you dont want to go back. i paid 2 nights but i 1 night i stayed in some other hotel.
Good location, very near to the city with walk distance, easy to find. Breakfast included the price ( a delicate breakfast with several variations)
Value for money, ideal location for Dublin City visit.Staff friendly & helpful, any problem or request was dealt with straight away.Tea,coffee & biscuits were always available on demand. Heating in our room (no.19) was a little on the cool side, the radiators did get hot eventually.Having said that,it was November and the weather was really cold.
the staff were very friendly, the location was great and the room was comfortable. Also the breakfast was superb. well worth the money. The bathroom was freezing cold.
The hotel is just of O'Connell street making it fairly central. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful The room I stayed in was at the back of the hotel, you could feel the tempreture drop as you moved towards the back. I had to request that the heat in my room be turned on at 6 pm on the 1st evening as my room was freezing.
The Hotel is in an excellent location. The Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The Breakfast was good. There was no negatives from our party.
It was a great value for the rate of the room. It was a very convenient location from the aircoach shuttle bus (O'Connell Street stop) to get to and from the airport. It was a short walk to see the sights of Dublin. I only spent one night and didn't spend much time in the room, but my room was clean and quiet. I would stay there again. The exterior building is a bit drab looking, but as a woman travelling alone, I still felt very safe in the area and it was only a short walk to see Trinity College, Temple Bar, Grafton Street, etc...
Conveniently located, friendly staff, nice breakfast.
We liked the location of this hotel,a short walk to the main shopping area.
very central hotel bathroom was very small
The hotel was located in a very easy accessable location with a nice walk in town the busy end of town. The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful. The breakfast was A1.
The location of the hotel was perfect for our first visit to Dublin. It was centrally located, near public transport lines, and within walking distance to all the main sites and tourist venues. It was not located near a pub and there was no partying keeping me awake at night! The staff was helpful and willing to offer suggestions and the breakfast was great!! The hotel is older but in good shape. It could use a bit of TLC to spruce it up a bit. There was also some traffic noise. However, none of this detracted from our stay or our comfort.
The hotel staff were extremely attentive, accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was quite good. The location was great, right across the street from the Gate Theatre and near the Writer's Museum. Easy walking distance to all the sights in Dublin. The hotel had a slightly faded aura about it, shabbier than I had expected, but fine nonetheless. It's an old building, and the facilities have not been super-renovated (for instance, the bathroom sink was of the old sort, with separate cold and hot taps, and one sank in to the old lobby sofas such that it was difficult to get up), but all in all, it was a fine hotel.
