We loved the room, the views, the quiet, the location. Close to the train station. The bed was so comfy! Also right near the landmark pub Nancy's Hand. The room design is outstanding! The bathroom was huge! We loved it here. There had a been some flooding from outside and it went into the hotel lobby on the day we arrived and it smelled horrible it was most likely sewer water. he smell only affected the area by the front door and the smell was gone by the time we left two days later. The hotel had professionals cleaners working on it as fast as possible. We would stay here again. The flooding was not there fault.
It's location was a prime factor in our decision. Phoenix Park was very close by, as was Guinness and The Old Jamison Distillery. Right near the train station and tram stop so access the further parts of thecity and country were 5 minutes away. We'd stay there again.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Comfortable room with a very nice view onto the front garden. Breakfast extravaganza. Very convenient to all Dublin attractions. We loved it. Highly recommend.
Location,breakfast,bedroom was nice size
The breakfast buffet was great with lots of options. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance to all of the sights, but is about a 10 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk). We love to walk so the location was fine for us, but it felt far after a night in Temple Bar.
Staff was helpful and excellent. Rooms were very clean. Accommodations were up to date. Triple room was somewhat cramped.
There was confusion too how many people we had in our party and had to pay an extra 30 euros and it took an extra long time to clear up the confusion after a long day of travel.
By the train station There was no plugs for hair tools and phone charging
Hotel is an excellent choice when visiting Dublin. It has excellent service, very clean, and good restaurant. Although it is not close to where most of the nightlife is there is an excellent local pub 2 blocks away and it is located on the local Luas light rail line which provides quick access to most of Dublin's tourist attractions. Slightly removed from what they call City Center
Breakfast was great Very clean Beautiful rooms The water pressure was really low, everything took several flushes. The surrounding area is great location wise, but at night it seems a bit rough. The hotel is very safe.
Lighting was bad for putting on makeup
booked a double room for one night.very basic. not worth the money paid. mildew in bathroom.dirty soap holders. poor lighting in room. hall light coming through door space between door and doorjam.wall could do with painting. also would be nice if hotel validated full price of car parking.never stayed at hotel where had to pay to park there!
Front desk staff always seemed busy giving tourist info to guests ahead of me. Weird how you must pass the desk to get to your room. Felt like you are passing a panel of judges, though theyvare friendly. I think they should have an irish accented greeter because the staff here sounded like any nice hotel in san francisco where I am from.
Atmosphere very relaxed, staff very nice and helpful
very average hotel, good that on w/end break no time to spend in hotel, but location is very good before changed room, window didn't shut, noisey with traffic on front and curtain rail fell down, rooms looking dated, 50 euros would be reasonable value
The location was very good for access to the city The rooms were tired and could do wirh a refurbishment
The central location and the security arrangements. The man inside and the swipe card entry to the inner part of the hotel itself The hotel looks a little tired and needs painting in parts
The location was excellent, security was very good and the café downstairs had very fresh, tasty food. There was half-price parking at the adjoining Carpark, although Jury's don't own it. The lighting in the room is soo dull and I actually couldn't see to get things out of my bag it was so dark, eventhough my bag was under one of the 'lights'!! Ridiculous. Also, the house staff were extremely pushy and rude on the morning of our departure as at 11:50am, they were knocking at the door to remind us that we were to leave at 12noon. Then again at 11:55am, another knock came to 'remind' us, we were obviously packing the last of our things and were not impressed at all with this nonsense and rudeness. Were they running around alll the occupied rooms knocking and checking in the final minutes of their stay just to 'remind' them of something they knew anyway? Most annoying and a little infuriating.
breakfast was lovely
perfect location in the city , clean and very helpful and friendly staff
It was convient for a gig in the Olympia The staff were not one bit friendly or efficent.
its location the toilet door had no stopper which was very annoying as the door would not stay open by itself. Room 413
Centrally located, pleasant staff and an extremely good breakfast to statrt the day did it for me. No
The room was very comfortable with an amazing bath and separate shower. The room had a flat screen TV with a good range of channels. We had dinner in the restaurant on the Saturday evening which was very pleasant. The breakfast was not included in the price which was fine, and we paid for separately, however - there was no price choice to either have a continental or buffet. I had the works but my mum only had a crossoint and a cup of tea which still cost 25euros.
The hotel could not have been better. Clean, stylish, peaceful, great breakfast selection, very comfortable indeed. I loved the location too. Close to a wide variety of restaurants, use of a gym nearby and within walking distance of all the sights. I would definitely choose it again.
Ideal location and the facilities in the room were very good.
It was very central for Dublin. We were given a free upgrade to Business class - the room was superb. The restaurant was very good and to a good standard. Staff were friendly and courteous. The hotel has a business feel to it which may put off families with younger children. It was very good but as i am a discerning diner i did send back the venison which was tough and i did send back the wine and exchanged it for a more expensive. The Syrah was not good quality so i asked for a St. Emilion which was much better. The staff were excellent though in catering for my needs. The aircon and heating did not work in our room but this was promptly attended to by the maintenance dept and repaired.
The room Poor service. Bad dining experience
The facilities in the room were excellent and the staff were very professional and unintrusive. E10.00 per day charge for car park; although this was waivered due to us being misinformed about early breakfast options.
A clean modern hotel, ideally positioned to explore Dublin. 25 minute taxi ride from the airport (approx 30 euro). Comfortable, well equipped room. Extensive buffet breakfast.
Near city center but in a very quiet location. staff is efficient and polite. Breakfest is superb although an expensive one.
I enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Blu. The staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful with a nice pub on-site with great food! I highly recommend it!
Fantastic modern hotel, stayed at other Radisson sas hotels and always good. Know what you are going to get. Service in bar area on Sunday afternoon wasn't great. Sat waiting for 20 minutes for a drink (with no nuts)!! Wasn't even busy.
No sky sports in room
Extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Breakfast delivered to room was top quality and still really hot . Room was spacious and comfortable. The first taxi we got to city centre, driven by a pure dub, took us on a roundabout trip and overcharged us and then had the neck to warn us about foreign drivers who would try to rip us off.
The hotel itself was very well presented, clean and the staff couldn't have done more to help you. Rooms were big with huge beds and very comfortable and warm. Restaurant was nice, and food was good. We usually use public transport to get around and the hotel was a 10 main walk from luas (tram) stops and bus stops, although not far this added up over multiple trips. Would be much easier if moving around by hotel or your own car. The swimming pool is free but you must purchase a €2 cap and a €8 padlock which seems a bit tight. Not much in the surrounding area, and little choice of alternatives for food other than a trip back to the city centre.
Lovely hotel and staff were very helpful. Room was also very clean and spacious. Menu in bar was very limited
The food, bar and dinning area. Hotel staff, polite and receptive. Bathroom dirty, hairs in sink. Wet room floor drained the wrong way and ended up standing in puddles of water. Check out took to long and seemed dis-organised.
The room had clearly been used by a smoker prior to our arrival and the smell was really bad. It had actually penetrated the duvet .
location, rate and ease of access with ample parking the pool was not open during our stay
location cost of extras
Excellent, efficient and very friendly staff. Large, clean and nicely furnished room with lovely view from large window. Very enjoyable and varied breakfast served by pleasant staff. Very secure car parking facilities. Ideal location for my requirements (Royal Hospital Kilmainham and Irish Museum of Modern Art). The location was ideal for my requirements but might be a bit far out of the City centre for some visitors.
Room over lokking the old jail was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good quality Just a little out of centre..12 Euro taxi...perhaps would choose one closer to centre next time
The Rooms where nice and spaceous and clean The staff where unfriendly and very unhelpful. Ours rooms where not ready for check in when we arrived at 4.30pm we had to share one room between 6 until we got the second one at 5.30pm and the 3rd at 6.15pm. Also parking is €10 a night not stated anywere in hotel. Overall experience of hotel was poor. Would never stay in it again!!
The Hotel was very clean and warm. Its location was perfect for Trinity college/Grafton Street/Temple bar the Castle and Cathedral The Cathedral bells kept me awake as they chime regularly and my room faced the building. The young girls on reception were unfriendly, and appeared bored most of the time, however, other staff were very helpful.and welcoming.
Great location and good value. En suite room was cosy and clean.
Basic but functional Shower valve hanging off wall. Hourly chime of ChristChurch Catherdral.
It was in a Great location and great having Bistro and bar in hotel Staff, especially in bar and somewhat in Bistro and reception, were not always available or very friendly
Good location, nice cafe&deli nearby, friendly staffs, large room for single use. I would like to stay again for the next visit to Dublin!
very pleasant nothing
Walk to everything. Most uncomfortable bed I've slept in in a long time. Shower floods bathroom. Basically all about where if you don't mind the what. Just not very elegant.
Classic hotel at the heart of the city. Extremely convenient! They could use some updates, but the bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom was clean. Also they had a mini fridge which apparently hotels don't have anymore or something.
The price and location you just couldn't beat. Just a few short blocks off Temple Bar (5 minutes) and directly in front of Christchurch. With the DART (Tara Station) a short 10 minute walk, and Hueston train station 15-20 minute walk...depending on how fast you walk, you can literally hop all over Ireland. Shopping on Henry Street and Grafton Streets were also very close by. All in all everything is walkable from this hotel. the hotels itself is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful, polite and very welcoming. I would definitely stay here again should my travel plans ever take me back to lovely Ireland! Nothing!
Good breakfast and an excellent hotel bar downstairs.
The Room was very, clean , great Location and ideal for a city break The Breakfast is quiet expensive for what you get.
The price - very comfortable hotel at reasonable price The shower overflowed onto the bathroom floor
I like the quite atmosphere of my room. The staff was very friendly. Requests were met promptly. The reception area seemed to never be open. I only saw it open when I checked in and one evening that I came in from my day out. I think it make it very hard to check-in/out and to make requests. Due to the weather the room was very cold during my stay.
Close to rail station. Needs to be refitted, old broken furniture, uncomfortable beds which are not level - your child may roll out onto the floor, very poor sound insulation, one mini soap for family room, smells.....
I enjoyed the friendly welcome and effficient service. The hotel was convenient for Heuston Station and the National Museum. Cigarette smoke smell still in room although the hotel is non-smoking, although I don't know if the change is recent.
Fairly good for its price- no parking facility even thou it said on website. They have only 2 spaces what were full .
Easy to get to from the airport, bus 747 takes you right to heuston station and then it's maybe a 5 min walk from there. A stone's throw from Phoenix park which is really nice to walk through and a ~20min walk from the Guinness storehouse and Killiam gaol jail. Bed was a bit lacking. We got a double room and bed was quite a bit harder than what we were used to in North America.

Everything was pretty much perfect! i nearly didn't book because of the bad reviews online but i'm so glad i did :) yes the decor is a little old fashioned but other than that what do people expect for the price?! if you're not spending much money then don't moan that it's not 5*! it's perfect to just dump your stuff, go and visit dublin, which by the way is what you're there for, and crash at the end of the day. i would definatly go back again. and i would highly recomend it to people who need the basics. i can't complain about anything!
It was located next to Heuston train station, ideal for those traveling by train and it was very reasonably priced for those on tight budgets.
We stayed one night, and booked another hotel for the second night, with no refund. Everything
Execellent value and v near station
Thank you very much for your help and support! you are the best hotel in Dublin!
it was quite central to the city, staff very friendly, and reasonably quiet for the location. it was advertised as a hotel.its not,its a hostel, and the booking out time of 10 o clock is just to early and very inconvenient,11 or 12 would be more appropriate.
Avalon House is full of amenities and friendly travelers - the perfect place to stay in Dublin. Nice, clean facilities with a delicious free breakfast! Play pool with new friends, eat cheap by cooking in the huge kitchen, go on the free walking tours, use the free tablets, sleep in comfortable beds, and be close to all the wonderful sights Dublin has to offer. No complaints here - I've already recommended Avalon House to all my friends!
difficult to get online in the room , always only can use wifi in the lobby
great atmosphere and staff, easy to reach no wifi in room, silly taps, poor cleanliness
Is always open, the staff helped us very much, with buses, travels, taxis. Is very close to the center of this beautifull city and country. And they sent me back to France the stuff I forgot in the room (with my own charges, but done!) I had a little problem with the total price, I had to pay double, but in the end, they gave back to me my money...
24 hour desk and kitchen for everyone
It was walking distance to Trinity College, Temple Bar and many of the sites in Dublin. This place was disgusting! The room was dirty, the bathroom smelled moldy and the carpet was so nasty, we were afraid to walk on it without shoes. Additionally, we almost got stuck in the lift because it was broken, but no one bothered to put up a sign! We were there for 3 days, and it was broken the entire time we stayed there. We never saw any maintenance people even attempting to repair it. This place was not family friendly as indicated!!
location, the staff was very nice very mall room, the water not very hot, the room not nice at all, cold.
central position - friendly staff
Breakfast included. 4 person rooms. Friendly service. Quiet area. Poor showers.
The position is not bad, if you want to reach the city centre and here you will find the tipical irish favor. The breakfast is a little poor for Ireland. Wireless is not strong enough to reach the rooms.
It was exactly as expected, a basic and clean good value for money place to stay for a few days
We enjoyed our stay in one of the twin private rooms very much. The breakfast was very basic and so was the room, but everything was really clean and the land lady was the nicest one I've met during my many travels worldwide. She let us in when we first arrived in the middle of the night, helped us with the sightseeing and gave a lot of very helpful advice. In my opinion it was extremely good value for money, it was cheap but still offered free breakfast and very clean rooms. Would stay there again at anytime. As I said, it was a lovely stay. The only thing perhaps worth mentioning is that the room was very cold at night as the building is pretty old. The covers were really warm though, so it wasn't really a problem, but during the winter I assume it might be.
Reasonable accommodations, short walk from city center There was no lounge or bar to meet other travelers, so it had all of the hostel accommodations, bunk beds, shared shower etc, with none of the benefits of the fun atmosphere.
