This is a great place that is always very busy for a reason. Great breakfast buffet, friendly staff, and a nice courtesy lounge with free snacks and drinks for when you are in a rush and need something on the way out..or just want to enjoy a beer before heading to your room/pool. I'm not sure what happened with my room this time, but the pillows were completely awful. I was in a room with 2 double beds and all of them were no good. Later in the week when I moved rooms to a king, they were much better which improved the overall quality of the comfort.
Comfortable room The hotel did not provide currency exchange services
I loved the decor and view and available parking The front desk girls attitude and the hair from previous guest all over the bed it was disgusting we called for them to clean up the guy who came up real nice but no further apology nothing and our bed was full of it everywhere made me think dis they even clean anything else ruined the experience
Staff was very helpful with offering tours & explaining different attractions to go see in the city. Excellent service! It is was centrally located & within walking distance from many historical attractions. There was a fowl smell at times that would come from the toilet...didn't mentioned it to staff, since I was not in the room a lot, only to sleep. All other aspects of the hotel were nice!
Great location. Reception staff was good but food staff was inattentive.
Location, friendly staff
Very centric and helpful staff my room had a door with a glass panel above it. I whish there was a way to block off the light from the atrium.
This hotel was gorgeous! It was like staying in a 5 star hotel for the price of a motel6. I highly recommend hotel morales and am looking forward to staying here again. It is just a few blocks away from the cathedrals, theatre and restaurants so it was very convenient to drop by the hotel throughout the day. We took advantage of all the amenities- the gym, rooftop pool, pool table, room service and restaurant. I loved staying here!
Everything was good except that we found a small cockroach in the floor (that tells me there were more), also the beds are not comfortable to sleep, great location and very beautiful inside.
Beautiful building within easy walking distance to a number of a number of historic sites and plazas. Very charming. Would stay again.
staff was awsome, every minute very helpful: from the front desk, resturant, and maids having the room look like the first day.
The hotel was clean and had all the basic ammenities you need. Wifi, air conditioning, clean rooms and bathrooms. The hotel is located in the heart of the City so this is perfect for someone who wants to walk around and go to museums etc. Overall a great experience for the money.
A very clean hotel with very comfortable beds and beautiful bed linens. The Staff were very efficient and our beds were turned down every evening with slippers, chocolates and music on the TV. We are used to having free internet access in our hotel rooms in Canada and the U.S. The Fiesta Americana charges for internet access.
Awesome service. The concierges we interacted with are all lovely people. The bar was great, the al pastor tacos were amazing. The room was super clean and comfortable. The area where the hotel is located is full of nice bars and restaurants. There's a mini mall next to it with a movie theater as well. The breakfast and dinner dishes we tried were delicious. The internet speed was very decent.
The rooms were very roomy, comfortable and clean. The pool was dirty, my legs kept feeling other people's hair and the they had an exposed pool vacuum. We also requested hypoallergenic pillows at 10pm and did not receive them until after 10:30 and multiple calls to front desk. The food at the restaurant was edible but flavorless and expensive. While the waiters were very attentive, the food was bland, different temperatures and unimpressive. We ate there based on convenience for our 1 year old but would have rather had dinner somewhere local.
Rooms are perfectly clean one of the best reasons I like this hotel
great location, perfect service, beautiful view, great instalations buffet breakfasta bit pricy
The staff was helpful and courteous. The room had a good size.
The staff was professional, accomodating and super attentive to my needs.
Great views of the city. Hotel front desk staff lost my signed AmEx voucher and made me wait at time of check out so they could locate it. They never did. I refused to sign another voucher and they agreed that a letter stating my acceptance of charges would be ok. Hotel nearby highways underconstruction. Takes some time to get back to hotel and out. One day, a mere 3 mile stretch took us 55 min to get back to hotel. Hotel is close to airport far from town and highway construcion does not help it any. Also, do not stay in rooms closer to highway (600 series) because road has a heavy 6 to 8 degree incline and large truck engines can be heard all day and night as they use engine to slow down vehicle. Staff is good except for the AmEx voucher incident.
For me it is very convienent as I have flown from New Zealand to LAX to Gaudalajara so I'm very exhausted. A great place to relax for 12hours before I head to Rio Caliente. Have recommended this hotel to others on my course as well
Area where it's at on a hill Room was to simple.
Somewhat close to the airport and central bus station. - Front desk gave me the room key for an occupied room. I arrived late and opened the door and found a scared hotel guest in his bed. No apology was made for this dangerous error. - overly dated rooms. - stained bed sheets - front staff never made wake up call Overall, not worth the stay and you are better off paying a little bit more for the Best Western Inn.
Very nice spacious, colonial style hotel with large rooms and balcony in garden, hilltop setting overlooking Guadalajara and surrounding areas. Hotel is older and could use a little bit of a facelift (bed, bathrooms). There should be extra blankets in every rooms (Guadalajara can be cold at night) ... when we asked for extra blankets, staff took almost 1 hour and sent us bed covers because no more extra blankets were available ...
the cortesy of the personnel and the location. the style also the foods is not so special and the rooms are quite old.
The staff were very friendly and assisted me by taking us directly to our room by van. I have a broken foot so it would have been hard for me to walk there. Staff were excellent!! They should have a place where you can get change for US $$ so that you can tip staff. When we asked for change we were told they didn't have any. I then had one of the staff ask the same person and they got change, except it was in Mexican $$. This is very frustrating as a US citizen that wants to tip.
We were warmly greeted by staff. The room was spacious and lovely. We have stayed there before so we knew what to expect. The food was very good and the service was excellent.
stafff bent over backwards and i dont speak spanish, its like a huge spanish villa, everyting you need in the resort, the rooms were huge witha balcony and amazing views of the city and a very low price , 20 mins into downtown... great room service.... would come back just to stay here a nightmare too find but not their fault the roads got rebuilt
is a great place to stay for couples of family's its marvalous atmoshere and wonderful food will blow your mind away.
Absolutely incredible people took care of my family during a very trying time. Everyone was polite and friendly and concerned and quick to respond. From the doormen to the managers, it was a great stay!
reservations not there when we arrived,no longer a ''grand class'' hotel.looked down on us because our rate was way lower than their stated rate.front desk person started trashing our home state of calif. on how it was bad to live there.
If you like to stay in hotels with a local flavor, this is one for you. I've stayed in many different Quinta Real locations throughout Mexico and this one is the original. The rooms can't be beat as they are all suites with a lot of privacy. The dining atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing but the hotel and food is pricey. If money isn't a factor, I highly recommend this hotel.
The Quinta Real in Guadalajara is a pristine property with excellent service. Greater than 5 stars. The property has an old-world Mexican 'hacienda' feel with the corresponding decor. The suite was absolutely stunning with many extra amenities. The Hermes bathroom soap and shampoo were especially nice. The Quinta Real makes one feel like a first class passenger in every way imaginable. I travel professionaly and stay in more than 150 hotel rooms per year. This one rates as one of the best in the world.
Staff not knowledgeable about tours available. No maps on hand to assist in sightseeing. Car rental did not show up, or even call.
The hotel provides excellent service and is located in a wonderful area of Guadalajara. If you don't mind staying away from all the touristy attractions this place is perfect. I always stay here while visiting family. My grandmother and mother refuse to stay anywhere else in Guadalajara.
The rooms were nice and clean, just as the photos show. We went to the restaurant for dinner, and that was really, really good with a wide variety of Mexican dishes. The breakfast buffet was good, too, with hot and cold items. The prices for both of those were great. Dinner for 20 people was 2429 pesos, or about $130; breakfast for 20 was 1829 pesos or $100. It wasn't far to walk to the cathedral area and lots of great sites. I didn't go out walking at night, but during the day it seemed to be a safe neighborhood. It was nice, too, that they had a computer down in the lobby that anyone could use. The staff was friendly at first, but seemed to grow less so as I had more requests/needs. We had a large group, though, so as the coordinator, it wasn't really a lot to ask for the number of people we had (I wasn't just being high maintenance). Part of the issue may have been that their English wasn't so good and my Spanish isn't so good. Whatever it was, it wasn't the best experience of service. Also, the street seemed noisy at night, but as we went to other towns, by comparison, it wasn't. Mexico is just kind of a noisy place.
Staff was pleasant, wifi and parking free. Noise level is quite high even though rooms are nice and clean.
Staff is super friendly and will try their best to please you. grsuoer nice and happy staff. breakfast not included, Internet barely works, cable doesn't work most of time, AC wasn't working well.
Room was spacious and well appointed. Not in city center and unbearably noisy.
city center location, englisg speaking staff, price, cleaniness, response of staff, facilities, room service, everything were fantastic. I would like to stay here whenever I visit Guadalajara. If a comlimantery breakfast is included in tarrif it would be more attractive to stay in the hotel
Elegant and pleasant hotel, clean. Bed a little hard and no blanket, fairly long walk to historical center.
The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower great. Overall great room. The staff at the front desk were awesome and so were the men who took care of the cars. I would not call them valets because they seemed to do a lot of different things, but they were awesome. There is a disco somewhere near and it was a little noisy. Not so bad but if I would have ear plugs it would have been better.
The location was amazing, close to all the main places for my visit The room was kind of small
Good value for the price, very clean room. Service was excellent at the hotel's restaurant. The bathroom is outdated, needs some upgrading.
The staff was very helpful and polite. The staff helped us get a taxi and translated for us. The location could have been better
Prety Close from Expo show room. Curtain of the tub, smells bad. The smell of the restarurant get into the room
The location for the old city is fantastic, you have nearly 10 historic squares pretty much on your doorstep with all the tourist attractions in walking distance. And great value!
The convenience of being in the centre of the old city. Easy of driving to it and parking on site.
I truly enjoyed my stay at Hotel de Mendoza I will recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Good clean hotel in city centre at reasonable price. Elevator a bit dated. No view room the room (Wall opposite window).
just perfect for proximity to cultural events especially at the Teatro Degollado
Service was very good. Quiet rooms. Centrally located. Restaurant in the hotel. Hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, clean. Would have liked a more economical price.
Staff very courteous, wonderful service with restaurant, lovely design and of course, Location, Location, Location The shower curtain did not extend to the bottom on the shower, hence water leaked out.
The staff, in the confort. The bathroom is to old
1. the fact that it is perfectly situated next to everything worth seeing in Guadalajara. 2. room was clean, whole Hotel was clean and well kept, Staff is helpful, responsible, 3. there is a small balcony in some rooms, in my case it had a view of a XVI C church, 4. Has a sight-seeing roof that is worth going up to, 5. Guests were all very professional and respectful people 1. Sockets are old and if you need to plug in a laptop, you must ask for an adaptar at the front desk. 2. Despite the fact that they put a thick carpet in the halls, if a guest is talking as he or she walks down the hall you can hear averything, it also goes the other way aroung, you can hear what people are saying in their rooms as you walk down the hall. The TV is too small
Great price and located by major avenue. Staff is very friendly Kids running up and down the hallway late at night, after 10 PM.
Great price for good service and amenities Pool - too much chlorine. It was unbearable and got my kids sick
Horrible bed shits and pillows
Overall very comfortable, helpful, friendly staff.
