The hotel is clean and well equipped but lacks character and is quite expensive when compared to alternative types of accomodation,
The location as it is close to the centre with easy access to museums, shops and town resturants. It is modern, spacious and clean. The bed is uncomfortable with large soft pillows. I could not sleep on first night. The TV monitor fixed to the wall in the corner of the room and not facing the bed. That made viewing uncomfortable. The room is supplied with plastic chair. I prefer a soft one.
location. Comfortable room. Pleasant cafe/bar. Very expensive breakfast
In the heart of the city. Price No complaints
Well-designed, comfortable modern hotel, conveniently located near the main street of Linz but very quiet. Excellent breakfast.
The room was clean an everything worked Nice sunny room in the morning The breakfast was too expensive, so we did not make use of this facility. We were at the front of the building and therefore quite noisy from traffic in the morning, when we opened the window. However, the hotel can do nothing about this. The back of the hotel is quieter, but less sunny.
Location of the hotel - very close to the pedestrian and shopping area, a lot of interesting places nearby the hotel. The hote is well accessible by car. I have paid about 30 EUR for parking instead of 15 as was declarated.
Room is very smart, contemporary and well-designed. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Good location--hotel is only a fifteen minute walk from the main town square, and a couple of minutes from the tram line. Highly recommended. The charge for Internet use is very expensive for someone who is not on a business expense account. (In fairness though, they did notify me of the price before I used it. Also, there are internet cafes nearby.)
Good value for money.
Best location, parking area, good spirit in the hotel, excellent staff's servey, clear managing of stay.
It seems to be an Hotel of **** even if they said that it is only ***. It is really near the downtown, and the staff it is really helpfull. Maybe they have to improve theyr use of english, but i Think it doesn't matter very much.
Very friendly and very professional english speaking staff. Breakfast is excellent! Having a bible in the room might be offended. Religion is a very sensitive and personal issue. Some visitors might feel this as forced religious propaganda.
Staff was extremely helpful. Well equipped, clean and functional room and bathroom. Good breakfast choice. Small children/babies are welcome. On top of it, it is run by charity organization. All in all, we enjoyed out stay a lot.
How very central the hotel was to everything, buses, trams, shops & resurants I would have liked to have seen a coffee lounge, because when you come back to yr rooms, it would be nice to enjoy a drink before bedtime
Close to the city center. Nice staff. It was like old and a little dirty, specially the bathroom.
Excellent breakfast buffet, worth every extra cent spent on it!
The ability to use the nearby gym for free
Very close to the center, excellent and rich breakfast buffet! Room was nice and clean, bath-room well-equipped! Recommended!
-Nice location in the heart of the city. -Restaurant and furniture.
Rooms quaint, very central. Linz was an exhausting experience (driving & trying to find parking) but hotel lovely!
rooms - location parking arangment
Very friendly personnel
The hotel has a very good location right in the main square of Linz, very good for exploring the city. There is no parking of the hotel. Parking in the underground square, although in theory had a reduction offered for the hotel, was only available for stays of 2 or more nights (which was not indicated when doing reservation or in the hotel's website). In the end we had to pay 20 euros for less than a day parking. Besides, most rooms of the hotel are in a back extension which do not have views of the square. In fact they do not have views at all, my room just faced a wall of the next building. Based on these reservations I would not stay again in the hotel but would choose another one with in-site cheaper parking and with more natural light and views from the rooms.
We enjoyed being in a hotel where we were aware of the antiquity of the building, whilst having very comfortable accommodation and friendly service.
central location in the city
The staff was great. Breakfast very good. Excellnt location.
Beautiful, old hotel. I liked very much that it was in the old town close to beautiful architecture and culture. Easy and fast to get to restaurants, shopping area and old buildings. Nice and helpfulness people working there. I chose this hotel also because it is very old and romantic. The bathroom has many tiles on the floor that were loose and could be lifted up. Room 34
I had a central location and the old part of the city was all around. Parking was at a public but secure underground car park within 5 mins walk. It had period furniture and a very Austrian feel. Althouhg it had a period feel which was good, the hotel could be re-painted and smartened up. The breakfast was just adequate.
The staff were extremely helpful and informative. The room was well equipped and comfortable. The location was very good for the old town and Christmas markets. Breakfast was of good quality but of a rather limited variety. The leisure facilities were poor and seemed somewhat neglected. I appeared to be the only user during our two-night stay. The hotel is overpriced for what it offers other than location.
Warm welcome from the staff who constantly assisted us to enjoy our stay. Though a very central location the hotel was quite and very relaxing. Wonderful to hear the sound of church bells in the morning. We would have liked to have coffee and tea making facilities in our room. The Bathroom needed some small improvements especially the shower.
The staff was very helpful and kind. The location of the hotel is excellent. The small price of the room (at the level of a three-stars hotel) is appreciated.
We enjoyed the business friendly hotel with excellent free wifi in the rooms as well as courteous and helpful staff.
Ars Electronica and the proximity to the city centre.
We got two triple-rooms for the price of the two double-standard that we had reserved. Definitely nice and comfortable! Breakfast, parking and young children included in the price!
The location was good, near the centre yet on a quiet street. The receptionist was really wonderful and helpful, and she spoke fluent English. The room was light and airy and had plenty of space. We liked the design of the room with the translucent bathroom walls. The breakfast was good.
Rooms are comfortable (business-like) Bathrooms (at least mine, I don't know others) are tiny, no storage places
Friendly staff Wireless internet access only available in 2 hour packages which meant I had to keep going to Reception
The Location was good, the rooms are clean, the brekfast was good, the service is excellent
Centrally located, underground garage Noisy outside the hotel
Clean room, well located hotel, warm welcome
Nice location, convenient rooms, good breakfast and restaurant and polite personal should be estimated as high level of hospitality.
Excellent position, just a couple minutes walking from the tram lines. Comfortable and clean rooms.
Location! We were in the Muehlveiertle room. The bed was so big that there was very little room to move around. The bed in this particular room was also very high (at least mid-hip high and I'm not a short person) so it was difficult to get in and out of.
The hotel in the perfect place. Public parking not far from the Hotel. Suggestion to make a shot time parking place (load on/in) in front on hotel. The rooms are small but nice.
Central location. No parking facility, limited bar hours (10pm close) and very limited choice of drinks etc.
Room was too dark.
The staff was friendly, hospitable and helpful and our room was clean and pleasant. Beds were comfortable. Morning breakfast was included and tasty. Hotel location is ideal for exploring Linz. I enjoyed the historic site of the hotel and its antique decor. Lobby was small but serviceable and sometimes filled with smoke from people at the bar in the next room. Elevators start up 1/2 flight of stairs and require you to ascend another 1/2 flight to get to each level. This is only really a problem for people with excessive luggage or the handicapped.
the hotel is located in the city center and is very convenient for the transportation and sightseeing. there are no curtains available in the room on the roof. the facilities are old. the breakfast place is relatively small and smells when somebody is frying eggs.
A lovely traditional hotel in the heart of the old town, superbly furnished, Persian rugs throughout, and comfortable spacious rooms. Great breakfast, and parking was available in a public garage a hundred meters away for 10 euros. The hotel was great, getting to it was tricky as streets were blocked for a festival. Be prepared to pay for parking. Restaurants in Linz are rare and full of smokers.
The hotel closes at 10PM which in our causd caused difficulties as we arrived at 11PM, staff attitude was not ideal
Nice athmosfere and good food the church bells 6.00 am in the morning and after that every half hour
