The Langham is an old fashioned 5 Star Hotel. In other words it deserves every one of the stars. Maybe it costs a bit more, but nothing is too much trouble and the staff are that great blend of friendliness and efficiency with not a hint of snobbery, which of course is a true sign of class. A great location and a real feel of opulence.
The hotel is located close to restaurants, shops and is a short walking distance from excellent theatres. The hotel staff and facilities lived up to a five star experience you expect from the Langham reputation.
Everything. Its the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in.
I loved the kingsize bed
Of course as always staff courtesy and the overall service is the main reason for us to stay at this hotel, despite the unpleasant experiences we had this "time only" with some of the reception staff upon our arrival which I will mention in the other Box. We are a regular customers and we know the level of services of this hotel however, we were totally shocked by the low service offered by your Supervisor at reception area Mr Sabestaian which was way below expectation. If he continues there he will certainly cause more damages to hotel reputation, Hotel mgt should consider giving him more lessons on customer service. Ms Suzana was of the same Category!. The rest of staff at the reception and other places were absoloutely all stars.
Was a very good stay and the room was perfect. The location is perfect and the lcd tv in the room is amazing Everytime i tried calling the concierge they never picked up
Very luxurious, extremely friendly staff and a probably the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. We were there for our wedding night and the hotel very kindly upgraded us to an executive suite. The fact the hotel manager had hand-written a (fairly lengthy) congratulations card, and left us some 'congratulations' sweets and cakes was also a very thoughtful touch. Would highly recommend for a treat or anyone looking for a bit of luxury in London.
the whole thing hotel was lovely the rooms staff the decor everything was nice choice of food and drink was great cocktails were amazing we wil def be looking to stay again in near future. was our friends birhday and they went out of there way and made occassion special cant wait to visit again
The hotel is very beautiful, confortable and the staff very nice and helpful. The location is perfect for a stay in London, long or short. Very, very clean!
The location and the high standard
excellent service from all staff, good lively bar, and good rooms. excellent central ocation.
the hotel was a little bit special and everything was very well done. the location for oxford street, and picadilly was excellent and within walking distance for convent garden. could have done with teaa making facilities in the room having said that we ordered tea for two via room service which was much nicer than a tea bag in a cup! but expensive.
Breakfast is amazing
Perfect location, helpful and qualified staff. Rooms smaller than expected.
Service They put a service charge on everything.... even in the bar
I have stayed there on a few occaisions and have always had excellent service and been made to feel like a valued person
Location Prefer seperate shower
The location of the hotel is unique!!! The room was spacious but the bathroom small and old style.
although i had to move rooms twice because of a tv/internet that didn't work, the staff was very open to helping me get a comfortable room.
central and comfortable
Location is exellent. The room was extremely small and outdated. I stayed in the hotel many times before and always made the bookings directly with the hotel, the rooms I received were much better. I left the hotel under the impression that I've received a bad room because of my booking through booking.com. Perhaps the rate was good but "there is no free lunch".
I wish all hotels were like Claridge's. The facility is lovely, the rooms are fabulous, and the staff are extremely helpful. Their response to a special request was 'no problem' which simpliflied my trip a great deal. I wish I could have stayed longer.
Appreciated hospitality of hotel staff except one Japanese staff at reception desk. If you are trying to improve the level of service provided to the Japanese clients, you'd better to leave the operation only to your excellent English staff. Due to double booking, we faced to transfer to the other rooms during our stay. We have not received an official apology from the manager nor any kind of compensation, In spite of this big problem, the attitude of Japanese staff was always very gruff and unkind. I regret to say that her attitude destroyed our good reputation of your hotel.
attention to detail- complimentary champagne as we only married a week before
The attention to detail and the ability of the staff to be both unfailingly courteous and retain friendly good humour
Everything was very efficient and seamless
We liked everything about Claridge's except the price though still consider it to be good value for money.
it was mentions that fair inclced berkfast and when i arrived they said its not
Very nice room. Excelent location in Mayfair. Best for shopping.
Efficient, friendly staff. Spacious accommodation Bar drink prices expensive
Everything in this hotel was perfect: excellent service and very friendly personnel. We had a beautiful big room on the 7th floor with view over London.
Good clean rooms, well furnished. Staff very helpful, especially the Porters who kept running into the rain to hail taxis! Small point, whilst there was a mini bar, there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. This would have been nice, but did not spoil our stay.
I love the location the design and decor and the staff are very willing and very friendly. The rooms have every comfort and are spotlessly clean nothing
Staff were very polite and helpful, made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived,Room was kept very clean just thought the Drinks was a bit expensive
its veru close to oxford street 5 mintues away walking..the stuff are very helpfull and friendly ...i like small hotels
The hotel staff was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful- from the concierge to the housekeeping staff. The proximity of the hotel to Oxford Street made it very convenient tor us to go around. One of the rooms was a bit cramped (we booked 3 rooms) and one didn't have a ref. However, the proximity of the hotel to Oxford Street made up for all these inconveniences.
The lobby, bar and restaurant staff were very attentive and personable room small
Thank you for the super friendly staff. You really made my stay enjoyable. The location is fantastic as the Bond Street tube station and Oxford street are a stone cast away from the hotel. Great place!
Location There's nothing to complain about but it actually would be very nice to have a coffee/tea facility in the room
Modern, Contemporary surroundings. Pleasant atmosphere, staff were helpful and friendly but not too intrusive Just did not have enough time to enjoy the hotel and its facilities. Will book again for a longer stay
Location of the hotel was of great importance and the cleanliness as well. Concierge had good knowledge and were very helpful. Internet was over priced when you need to be connected in the room and on the contrary you can find it free of charge in the Lobby.Breakfast was over priced for what was offered in the so called buffet and same for the english brekfast plate. Improvement to extend more choice is to be considered.
The staff was very welcoming and even gave our son a cute little teddy bear. We used to live very close to the hotel and enjoyed being within walking distance of our favourite part of London. The hotel also gives access to a great gym! Must go to restaurants in the area are Tommi's Burger Joint for a great burger Providores + Tapa Room for the best granola and fruit in the world, Chiltern Firehouse for Rosé (and everything else) and Il Baretto for a great Italian dinner. Thank you, we will definitely be back.
The room was comfortable, the hotel facilities were good,in all we liked everything about the place No complaints
Quality of service and location
Friendly staff. Warm face towels on arrival at receiption was a nice touch. Modern, clean, everything in working order. Expensive breakfast
It was very comfortable, good bed, very good breakfast buffet and friendly staff. I would have preferred a bath tub instead of a shower :)
Beautifully decorated room, amazing fitness facility, lovely staff None
Clean, modern design and very nicely furnished room Front desk understaffed so can be hard to get anyone to solve a problem (eg our heating was too high and phone just rang and rang at 2am when I called for help). Didn't get much sleep that night.
We loved the fact that the staff wanted to please and were interested in our stay, it made it an even more memorable experience.
The pool, jacuzzi and sauna area was spot on. The bar was very modern with a relaxed atmosphere serving all the usual drinks and good range of cocktails. Breakfast was top, but did cost almost £20. Perfect location for a weekend in London with most places we visited being within 20 minutes whether by tube, foot or rikshaw. The rooms, depite being very modern and well presented, are a bit on the small side. Also, a cup of tea cost £9!!!
Firstly, the room we initially had, 553, was very small and cold. The first night the heater rattled constantly and wasn't functioning. The following morning, we contacted the Guest Relations manager, Barbara. She first sent up a maintenance man, who checked it and said 'That's as good as it gets. He was not understanding of the situation, but Barbara knew the heater was faulty and changed us to room 342. This room was much brighter. However, it was tiny, and we couldn't have breakfast in the room , as there was only one table, with no room for a 2nd tray. The very attentive waiter told me the hotel has no room service trolleys. Shameful. When we paid our bill, the receptionist took £150 off the total bill.. A very poor experience all round
close to shopping n oxford st none
the closeness to the shops
What a beautiful hotel hidden behind the bustle of Oxford Street! The rooms were beautiful, staff were lovely and breakfast was gorgeous in the morning. A lovely location for our weekend away. We would definitely consider staying here again!
Good central location and friendly, helpful staff. Clean and well-maintained. Breakfast mediocre and expensive. Rooms too small for the price. Usual London problem - poor value for money.
the radisson is very central for shopping but very expensive. it cost me 970 euro for three nights with no breakfast. our room was quite small for two people for the price
The staff were exceptional Lift was rubbish. Room was tiny and had no power source near the bed for alarm/mobile charging.
the rooms were clean, well sound proofed and quiet. Staff responded quickly to any request and were cheerful. this is really cheeky - but as it was our 20th wedding anniversary and the hotel knew this a free drink or upgrade of room as a present would have been wonderful!!!!
Good location for shopping
Location Food not warm, afternoon tea not value for money
Location, location, location!!! A very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice room. I totally recommend it!
Large room, coffee and tea provided in room. Great location. Secure. Nothing bad
Efficient front desk, well equipped room No facilities for breakfast in hotel apart from room service
Friendly personnel at reception quite efficient. Very noisy rooms. I had to request to change room due to refurbisment works but still the noise was unacceptably high.personnel at cafe lounge were not proffesionally trained/unacceptable behaviour
I liked the staff qualifications, readiness to help. The restaurant is great
kind stuff, valued price, love everything in Marriot not yet
I liked the beautiful room and comfortable beds - pillows to die for! The breakfast in the morning at Maze Grill was the absolutely lovely. The staff were all very friendly and polite.
We stay at the Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square frequently, both for leisure and business. We find it's location is unbeatable. The staff are friendly and efficient.
The staff were very attentive , especially restaurant staff slow service at reception, they seemed understaffed in this area
it was very central for my purpose only one of the two lifts were in operation. they seemed to want to make a charge for parking a car on their forecourt and I was unsure if this was a legitimate rule
Location. Priced too high. Interior does not merit price.
Great location. Wifi very slow, unusable at times.
The top floor bar/restaurant is a noteworthy feature
Close to shops
The hotel's location is excellent. I booked a superior room and it was refurbished and very specious. The best hotel ,I have ever stayed in in London, considering the price/value parameter.
The location is excellent, for me one of the best in London The bed in room was too small, that was bed for one person.. Very very small bed.. That was not fair..
Clean, very nice personell, close to the center of London, perfoect location for shopping weekend
very nice hotel in centrel london, with good staff no
Location there is no refrigerator in the room
I do not like it al all. The worst hotel I 've even been.
The location was what drew us to this hotel, it is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, theatres and sightseeing. We encountered some problems with a miscommunication over the booking when checking in, the staff who helped sort this out (to our satisfaction) did so in a very cheerful, friendly and professional manner.
Polite staff, good breakfast Overpriced
It was conveniently located for shopping and other things that would be wanted in the centre of London. The rooms appeared tired looking and too small.
good location, good breakfast not very accommodating in terms of early check-in (we arrived only an hour before designated time). Decor was a little dated. We would have liked to leave our luggage for a couple of hours to do some shopping but we finally had to give up waiting for the concierge.
people staff the design of the room, poor, sad and not in good condition.
The central location is ideal for a short city break in London. The hotel is really more of a tourist place than one suitable for business use. It is very overpriced for the quality of the facilities.
Excellent location for West End Shopping Downside was that booking did not include breakfast in the price but was available to purchase separately, however, felt breakfast was quite expensive compared with local cafes/etc
Excellent location, nice staff on reception Rooms were shabby and need to be renovated
excellent location bed too soft, room too hot.
Checked us in early and moved us to a first floor room as we had a 5 mth old ad 4 year old. Clean room and cot provided. 4 year old shared with us in a huge bed (2 big singles pushed together). Worked well for us. Modern and clean bathroom. Very central. Breakfast was simple but adequate and included in price. Access is a problem. There are 3 levels of rooms on each side of a small road and no lift just a narrow staircase on each side. We were on the first floor so it was okay to negotiate with pram but if you were on the third floor it would have been harder. There is no fridge so difficult to store things for the baby if you were staying more than one night - not a problem for us.
Very helpfull staff, great location, nice and clean rooms
great location, simple , clean, dont miss italian resto downstaires, shower door and bathroom door didnt close proper. Matrasses are not comfortable.
Water linking down the ceiling - had to address it twice before it has been fixed.-As a result, for 1 entire day there was not worm water
The room was larger than I expected and in a great location. The hotel's configuration is a bit unusual in that it covers several buildings on the street. However, I enjoyed this as it felt a bit more like a home. The associated restaurant to the Mermaid Hotel is excellent and very popular at lunch time with the local residents and workers. My room was located on the top floor of one of the buildings. This meant 4/5 stories of steps. I did not mind as I only had a small gym bag and briefcase. Some people may have trouble with the stairs and getting their luggage to the top floors. I am sure that the hotel would be able to accommodate guests in lower rooms with notice. If you pay by credit card, expect a 4% additional charge to your bill.
the bed was nice and comfy location was excellent room was small, lights above the bed didnt work, kettles could do with descaling or replacing, one cup in my room had lipstick marks on and had water in. was all very basic.. so long as you are only after a bed to sleep in and somewhere to wash then its fine.
Excellent location close to centre of city and Bond St tube station. Well within walking distance back from a night out in the bright lights of London! Shower was a bit awkward to figure out but spot on when ascertained.
