The lobby, spa and bar are brilliantly designed. Most parts of the hotel are chic and the overall atmosphere is very charming. The rooms are impractically designed. No provision made to accomodate suitcases even. Too much insistence on style and little attention to comfort. Great to hang out at all parts of the hotel except your room where everything seems like a mess since there are no practical provisions made. Very little storage so all the stuff just lies around the floor; also not very child friendly.
Our stay at The Sanderson was perfect from start to finish. I called ahead to let them know that we were coming to stay for my boyfriend's birthday. From upgrading us to a huge, gorgeous room to delivering balloons, flowers, candles, and birthday treats, they truly went above and beyond to make it an amazing weekend. We can't wait for our next visit!
unique design bed was uncomfortable
The bar, this was very busy and fun place to be
Very fashionable feel to the hotel , Bar was enjoyable , sleighbed lovely. Food was good at breakfast. Maybe toilet area. Lacks privacy
The location was great. Room beautiful but things like complimentry water in the rooms, toilet paper too much of a production. Restaurant staff and front door/desk/concierge great. Gym staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Great gym tho. See above.
The lifts. The service. The availability of the garage. The conviviality of the bar areas (both the open & cosy bars). The dedication of your cleaning staff. The laundry service. The proportions. The corridor lighting. And, above all, the location. The lack of Internet access (the business centre was occasionally out of action). The limitations of the room service menu for vegetarians. The limited number of T.V. entertainment channels - without in-house films The lack of a bath. No fresh air. The painting on the ceiling of my room.
Stylishly minimalist, great shower, cool bar Dinner trolley not cleared
General location was very good.Cleanliness was good No bar to have a drink with children over 18 had to be 21.Bar staff rude and ignorant. However, Bar manager was very considerate.Very trendy which was nice but thats where it ends i'm afraid. Would not book again.
I like the desing and the location
Wonderful design interiors. The food in the Malaysian restaurant was amazing and the cocktails at The Long Bar were innovative and delicious - if very pricey at £11 a shot Some of the towels in the room were not 100% clean
The hotel is very beautiful, confortable and the staff very nice and helpful. The location is perfect for a stay in London, long or short. Very, very clean!
excellent service from all staff, good lively bar, and good rooms. excellent central ocation.
Of course as always staff courtesy and the overall service is the main reason for us to stay at this hotel, despite the unpleasant experiences we had this "time only" with some of the reception staff upon our arrival which I will mention in the other Box. We are a regular customers and we know the level of services of this hotel however, we were totally shocked by the low service offered by your Supervisor at reception area Mr Sabestaian which was way below expectation. If he continues there he will certainly cause more damages to hotel reputation, Hotel mgt should consider giving him more lessons on customer service. Ms Suzana was of the same Category!. The rest of staff at the reception and other places were absoloutely all stars.
the whole thing hotel was lovely the rooms staff the decor everything was nice choice of food and drink was great cocktails were amazing we wil def be looking to stay again in near future. was our friends birhday and they went out of there way and made occassion special cant wait to visit again
Everything. Its the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in.
Was a very good stay and the room was perfect. The location is perfect and the lcd tv in the room is amazing Everytime i tried calling the concierge they never picked up
I loved the kingsize bed
The location and the high standard
The hotel is located close to restaurants, shops and is a short walking distance from excellent theatres. The hotel staff and facilities lived up to a five star experience you expect from the Langham reputation.
The Langham is an old fashioned 5 Star Hotel. In other words it deserves every one of the stars. Maybe it costs a bit more, but nothing is too much trouble and the staff are that great blend of friendliness and efficiency with not a hint of snobbery, which of course is a true sign of class. A great location and a real feel of opulence.
Very luxurious, extremely friendly staff and a probably the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. We were there for our wedding night and the hotel very kindly upgraded us to an executive suite. The fact the hotel manager had hand-written a (fairly lengthy) congratulations card, and left us some 'congratulations' sweets and cakes was also a very thoughtful touch. Would highly recommend for a treat or anyone looking for a bit of luxury in London.
Breakfast is amazing
The location of the hotel is unique!!! The room was spacious but the bathroom small and old style.
central and comfortable
although i had to move rooms twice because of a tv/internet that didn't work, the staff was very open to helping me get a comfortable room.
Location Prefer seperate shower
the hotel was a little bit special and everything was very well done. the location for oxford street, and picadilly was excellent and within walking distance for convent garden. could have done with teaa making facilities in the room having said that we ordered tea for two via room service which was much nicer than a tea bag in a cup! but expensive.
I have stayed there on a few occaisions and have always had excellent service and been made to feel like a valued person
Service They put a service charge on everything.... even in the bar
Location is exellent. The room was extremely small and outdated. I stayed in the hotel many times before and always made the bookings directly with the hotel, the rooms I received were much better. I left the hotel under the impression that I've received a bad room because of my booking through booking.com. Perhaps the rate was good but "there is no free lunch".
Perfect location, helpful and qualified staff. Rooms smaller than expected.
Appreciated hospitality of hotel staff except one Japanese staff at reception desk. If you are trying to improve the level of service provided to the Japanese clients, you'd better to leave the operation only to your excellent English staff. Due to double booking, we faced to transfer to the other rooms during our stay. We have not received an official apology from the manager nor any kind of compensation, In spite of this big problem, the attitude of Japanese staff was always very gruff and unkind. I regret to say that her attitude destroyed our good reputation of your hotel.
Everything in this hotel was perfect: excellent service and very friendly personnel. We had a beautiful big room on the 7th floor with view over London.
Efficient, friendly staff. Spacious accommodation Bar drink prices expensive
it was mentions that fair inclced berkfast and when i arrived they said its not
Everything was very efficient and seamless
The attention to detail and the ability of the staff to be both unfailingly courteous and retain friendly good humour
We liked everything about Claridge's except the price though still consider it to be good value for money.
attention to detail- complimentary champagne as we only married a week before
Very nice room. Excelent location in Mayfair. Best for shopping.
I wish all hotels were like Claridge's. The facility is lovely, the rooms are fabulous, and the staff are extremely helpful. Their response to a special request was 'no problem' which simpliflied my trip a great deal. I wish I could have stayed longer.
the most we like was the location in the centre the most accept the room and the lobby where very bad.chairs in the breakfast room was onacceptebel.the bar on the roof was very , very bad, while the price is a hilton price. no we nevr schould go back.we always are going to hilton in the world but this was the most bad hilton we ever saw.
My stay was for just one night and for business use, but the 2 key factors for me were location and cleanliness. The checkout was poorly staffed.
Great location Hallway is dirty, room does not have tea/coffee maker, however when we asked they did bring us.
Unfriendly personal; worn out hotel and a shame for the hilton group. Compared to the langham hilton where I stayed 2 nights before. This hotel is totally out of wack in price quality; Their web site is misleading.
The staff are very nice & helpful. The steps infront of the enterance gate which makes it a bit difficult for baby strollers.
A great central location, yet quiet. Close to Oxford Street, convenient for shopping. Near tube station and city attractions/parks. Hotel staff not helpfull (We asked for info how to get to Luton airport and they sent us to the wrong train station. We almost missed our flight). Twin room was small for two people, internet connection and pay TV not working. Rather expensive (201 pounds/night excl. breakfast). Not really a five star hotel.
close from shops and resturants I came early in the morning and there was no rooms available! they let me wait for more than one hour although I came from long distance trip! didnt give late check out!
I stay in this hotel at 3 time, but at that time my room was auful - all was broken and was very uncomfortable.
very central and comfortable...easy to reach public transport...rooms clean and comfy though a bit too small breakfast was expensive and pay TV did not work
Perfect location Probably it's time to invest in a new remote controls of the TV sets!
Location, location, location!!! A very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice room. I totally recommend it!
close to shopping n oxford st none
What a beautiful hotel hidden behind the bustle of Oxford Street! The rooms were beautiful, staff were lovely and breakfast was gorgeous in the morning. A lovely location for our weekend away. We would definitely consider staying here again!
The staff were exceptional Lift was rubbish. Room was tiny and had no power source near the bed for alarm/mobile charging.
Location Food not warm, afternoon tea not value for money
Good central location and friendly, helpful staff. Clean and well-maintained. Breakfast mediocre and expensive. Rooms too small for the price. Usual London problem - poor value for money.
the rooms were clean, well sound proofed and quiet. Staff responded quickly to any request and were cheerful. this is really cheeky - but as it was our 20th wedding anniversary and the hotel knew this a free drink or upgrade of room as a present would have been wonderful!!!!
Large room, coffee and tea provided in room. Great location. Secure. Nothing bad
the radisson is very central for shopping but very expensive. it cost me 970 euro for three nights with no breakfast. our room was quite small for two people for the price
Good location for shopping
the closeness to the shops
Clean, tidy, pleasant staff Bar drinks highly expensive in hotel....noise form entertainment area above our room was too much for our liking with chairs being dragged across the floors at late hours
This little jewel of a hotel is Soho chic. I can't say enough good things about it! It is perfectly located, priced under similar hotels, small enough to be personal but large enough to have a really exceptional restaurant and rooftop bar that appeared to have a London insider following. I say it is the best kept secret in London & would recommend it to anyone! Absolutely nothing!
Location is just perfect, clean room The room is far too small for its price. Breakfast is poor.
I liked the rooftop bar. The friendliness of staff. and the champagne cocktails.
Great location. Good service. Brilliant rooftop bar.
The hotel's location is excellent. I booked a superior room and it was refurbished and very specious. The best hotel ,I have ever stayed in in London, considering the price/value parameter.
Clean, very nice personell, close to the center of London, perfoect location for shopping weekend
it was very central for my purpose only one of the two lifts were in operation. they seemed to want to make a charge for parking a car on their forecourt and I was unsure if this was a legitimate rule
Great location. Wifi very slow, unusable at times.
The top floor bar/restaurant is a noteworthy feature
very nice hotel in centrel london, with good staff no
Location. Priced too high. Interior does not merit price.
Close to shops
The location is excellent, for me one of the best in London The bed in room was too small, that was bed for one person.. Very very small bed.. That was not fair..
The staff were very attentive , especially restaurant staff slow service at reception, they seemed understaffed in this area
staff very helpful. convenient for shopping. comfortable beds. our twin room was quiet even with the window open.
Staff excellent Room smelt awful but the staff offered another room but I did not want to move so they made arrangements for the smell to be eliminated and when we returned to the room 6 hours later it was perfect
The hotel was in general very good. Our room, which was 209 had a large and very noisy extractor fan outside our window, the noise in the early evening drowned out the tv. The most annoying part was to be woken at 7am by the noise again, to be woken at that time on a Sunday morning was not acceptable, had we been staying another night we would have asked for another room or a full refund. We stay in London several times a year and would consider staying with you again if you were willing to discount our next stay and guarantee we would not have such a room again.
Brilliant location; lovely exterior. "Superior double" room far too small; cold room; even colder bathroom; no plug in sink; no hook on bathroom door.
Clean, tidy and great location for town. It was not made clear when booking that the room was not paid for even though my full credit card details were taken. The reception staff at the hotel actually wanted to give a room with no electricity in it ???!!!!???? I had to insist on having a room in full working order just from a Health & Safety aspect. Middle of winter, snow on the ground and a room with no electricity - I don't think so ...!!
we only used the hotel as a base but everything was clean tidy staff was excellent was able to store ours bags there before and after we had checked in and out which was a great help
The location is convenient to Oxford/Regent Streets, shopping, Soho and surrounded by a good selection of restaurants. The hotel rooms were not air conditioned and the ventilation to the rooms very poor (a single open window). To room was like an oven! Don't book during hot weather!
The staff Personly I would have liked a larger room but every thing else was great
None The room was a cupboard the only big enough for one person, television didn't work, bathroom needed maintaining very poor condition.
Water linking down the ceiling - had to address it twice before it has been fixed.-As a result, for 1 entire day there was not worm water
excellent location bed too soft, room too hot.
Excellent location close to centre of city and Bond St tube station. Well within walking distance back from a night out in the bright lights of London! Shower was a bit awkward to figure out but spot on when ascertained.
Very helpfull staff, great location, nice and clean rooms
great location, simple , clean, dont miss italian resto downstaires, shower door and bathroom door didnt close proper. Matrasses are not comfortable.
Checked us in early and moved us to a first floor room as we had a 5 mth old ad 4 year old. Clean room and cot provided. 4 year old shared with us in a huge bed (2 big singles pushed together). Worked well for us. Modern and clean bathroom. Very central. Breakfast was simple but adequate and included in price. Access is a problem. There are 3 levels of rooms on each side of a small road and no lift just a narrow staircase on each side. We were on the first floor so it was okay to negotiate with pram but if you were on the third floor it would have been harder. There is no fridge so difficult to store things for the baby if you were staying more than one night - not a problem for us.
The room was larger than I expected and in a great location. The hotel's configuration is a bit unusual in that it covers several buildings on the street. However, I enjoyed this as it felt a bit more like a home. The associated restaurant to the Mermaid Hotel is excellent and very popular at lunch time with the local residents and workers. My room was located on the top floor of one of the buildings. This meant 4/5 stories of steps. I did not mind as I only had a small gym bag and briefcase. Some people may have trouble with the stairs and getting their luggage to the top floors. I am sure that the hotel would be able to accommodate guests in lower rooms with notice. If you pay by credit card, expect a 4% additional charge to your bill.
the bed was nice and comfy location was excellent room was small, lights above the bed didnt work, kettles could do with descaling or replacing, one cup in my room had lipstick marks on and had water in. was all very basic.. so long as you are only after a bed to sleep in and somewhere to wash then its fine.
Location to Euston, 15mins walk, conference centre 5 mins walk & price in that area
convenience for purpose not terribly friendly
I thought that the hotel was functional, conveniently located for the west end and cheap. The room was well worn but secure and at the price you can't have everything.
The location were really great, really close to Oxford Street, Regent Street and Leicester Square. Our room was not good. The shower was unusable, it was dirty. It seems like the walls had not be cleaned for a long time. The hairdryer didn't work.
closeness to city centre they were decorating and we had to move room. noise from construction outside and decorationg staff. poor quality room.
There were no good points whatsoever Everything was not working properly. The room was noisy, very cold as the central heating not working, there was no hot water in the shower, etc, etc
Close to Oxford Circus Breakfast was sparse
it' s close to city centre The hotel rooms are very small with small windows and so quite hot. They are decorating and renovating part of the hotel and there is construction work being done outside the hotel so it's noisy during the day.
