I own property in Mexico and have traveled many places in the country I give this hotel 2 stars because the staff is wonderful and its on the bay ( which is not nice at all) The photos of the hotel with the hammocks in front of the rooms is why I chose to stay. However those rooms belong to the owners/ managers. There are no hammocks in front of the other rooms nor are there room darkening shades nor paint like those shown. I paid over 100 a night low season but the hotel is more of a 40 dollar hotel. The wifi doesn't really reach the rooms. There were holes in walls and doors, no drinking water, no ice, three channels, thin walls, barking dogs. Super clean room however. Staff great good air conditioning I did like being near the malecon, however there isn't much there as far as things to do. Pool seemed cloudy and couldn't find a bathroom near it ( may have been but looked) . Rim of pool broken up and plaster coming off bottom. Felt safe . Holes in wall and door Pool needing work and dirty No or non usable wifi in rooms No drinking water 12 oz a day) not enough no ice Run down Noisy Not as pictured with hammocks No lounge chairs for palapas out No taxis Nothing to do
Beautiful location, nice rooms but overall service and amenities are severely lacking. People were nice enough but I knowledgeable about the facility. No hot tub Restaurant has zero atmosphere Bar has zero atmosphere Work out room horrible Defiantly not what was advertised and too expensive.
The rooms were neat and clean with beautiful ocean views. The golf course was amazing! Very challenging with wonderful views of the mountais and the Sea . First off, while the rooms are clesn and lovely, the floors are tile. If you go here, ensure you are not placed in a room that is below another guest. The tile floor enhances any and all noise from above...Very Noisy! Next, they advertise a "Sport Bar" at the hotel. While there is technically a bar the floor sbove the check in counter, It really doesnt deserve to be called a sports bar. In addition, while there was loud music, lights and a moldy foozball table in the bar, there was no bartender or any sign of an emoyee anywhere. Last off, the jacuzzi was never more than body temp warm. Even after repeated requests to heat it up, it rdmained only a few degrees above the pool temp.
I called twice before my trip and upon arrival I had requested the 3rd floor but they said no third floor even there was hardly anyone there, maybe a handful of guests only.
This is a small cute facility on a quiet street very close to the action - the Malecon, the principal restaurants, the Misión and the Plaza. It's style is classical Mexican - very appealing, at least to me. The ambiance and the very reasonable price makes it a bargain. In the 2 days I was there I never had hot water without requesting it. I was told there was a "boiler problem" which may be true and maybe it was not representative of the norm.
This is a lovely Spanish-style building set around a garden and tucked away on a quiet side street, yet only two blocks from the center of town. Rooms were tasteful, with colorful tile, and super clean. There are only seven total rooms, I think, so it feels quiet and private. The staff was warm and eager to help. There's a pretty roof deck, too. There's one water cooler for guests to use, and it's in the office. Would be more convenient to have bottled water in each room.
