Proximity to Lourdes Domain It was very noisy late at night with pilgrims in bar till 3am. My mother & I couldn't sleep.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel was very clean and comfortable
fabulous view of the river and suroundings entrance & exit of parking
Location was excellent It was all ok except Internet available only on the hall
Spacious comfortable room, beautiful view from balcony, very grand reception area, spotlessly clean, helpful reception staff who spoke perfect english.
Our rooms did not have suitable walk in showers as stated and then we were moved to a two level room with a difficult stair access, where the shower on the upper level had only cold water on two of the mornings. Also on the Sunday evening our table in the restaurant although booked in advance was not available and we had to sit by the side of the through-way which was very noisy and the manager did move out table after our first course but we were not served the food we ordered after 45 minutes and had to leave before desert as the restaurant so so full and having problems dealing with the numbers.
The location, definitely. The grotto is literally 3 minutes away. Comfortable, if sparsely furnished, rooms.
We enjoyed the closeness to the Lourdes Sanctuary. There were two very loud parties on two nights of our stay. We were on the 4th floor and were kept awake. When we asked for the music to be turned down they replied no until I went downstairs and yelled at them. Also, the pool was shut down for 2 days which is why we chose the hotel.
Nothing, even the breakfast ,which we had to pay in advance was very poor . Far to expensive for what you get plus the wrong info from Booking.com
the close distance from the sanctuary the hotel has too many noices... and too many people from contingents that make me feel that they were the owner of the hotel... people was not friendly
Location is very good, room is super small. The breakfast is very limited choices.
Good location No parking, room cleaning service too early- 8 am.
Nothing, place needs a refurbisment. Internet pictures lie,as we were lone travellers I beleieve that is why we ended up in the annex and not the main hotel. It was a fight each morning to get breakfast as we were not part of a group and they didn't want to know us.The doors to the breakfast room were slammed closed just before 9 am finish time to stop us going in for breakfast. Never will stay in a vinuales hotel again. Value for money, see what you get in a Hi Express hotel for less.
Staff is very helping and kind. I reached the hotel at 23.45hrs and they were very considerate.
The place was pretty, the rooms were clean and the hotel food was exceptional! Everything was just as expected!
room is newly renovated and well equipped (with hair dryer). staff is very helpful
locality and staff
The location to the Lourdes Sanctuary was excellent. Close to the gates. Many pilgramage groups and tour buses but we didn't feel it was crowded. The front desk was very helpful and attentive in answering questions and helping us with a security box. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are large and updated. The linens were a little worn and there were no shampoos or soaps in the bathrooms so it was a good thing we brought some. All in all it was a good stay for the short two nights. The restaurant was fair. The breakfast was not worth the 8Euro that was charged. The breakfast consisted of coffee from a push button machine, one type of cheese, one type of cold cut, dry breads, canned fruit salad and milk, tea, juice. One part of the dining room was set up for groups and the other end of the room for others. The service differed on each side. The group reservation side received cloth napkins and servers to attend them. On the side I was on with my family we had to get our napkins at the service table and they were only paper and no one attended to us at all.
Proximity to the Basilica of Immaculate Conception/Grotto and shopping. Lack of amenities and hotel scent.
Very friendly and helpful staff. So close to the Grotto.
The location to Lourdes, very central. The people who worked there were nice. rooms were extremely out of date, not value for money! I think if i was in the newer part of the hotel it would have been ok. Cheap covers on the bed, dated wallpaper, orange carpet on the walls. Clean, but definitely 30 years since last changed. The cleaners knocked at 7.30am! I stayed in Lourdes last year in Mariale and this was only 53 euro a night for a brand new studio with kitchen
Great location for first time tourist to the Lourdes Grotto
The hotel is just 10 minutes walk to the Grotto.
Guest areas were full of character The quality of the food was dismal. Numerous people send their's back. They are catering for coach parties and not individuals
Was a little worried reading the previous reviews but the staff was very friendly and helpful so no worries on that side. Great location and lots of ample parking. I read somewhere that the there was airconditioning .But the rooms did not have any airconditioning
We had a disastrous journey out to France due to a strike, and missed the first night of our two-night stay. The hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming when we finally arrived 18 hours late, and we were only charged for the one night we actually stayed. The rooms were very comfortable with a pleasant small balcony looking down into the street with some of the mountains visible too and good afternoon sun. The breakfast was very good with plenty of food and a good choice, well worth the extra cost. I am planning to take a pilgrimage to Lourdes next year and would be happy to stay here again. No - I liked everything.
Its proximity from the sanctury and town centre No Wi-fi in the room as advertised on the website.
great friendly environment, great location and view.
It was close to the Sanctuary (1/4 mile to entrance) clean, had bar/seating room available, clean, quiet, good value, helpful staff, no complaints at all. the only reason I checked good instead of excellent was it was not fancy but definitely adequate. no
Good location at bottom of town and right beside the Grotto area. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Free internet/pc access. Free wifi. Noisy at night (Room on the street side-Avenue Bernadette Soubirous). No Air-con, not too surprising with it being a 2* hotel.
Although clean, the rooms were quite bare. We had counted on a double bed, but had twin beds. The lobby looks nice enough, but the rooms are dated and don't really reflect what is in the pictures.
Its very near the sanctuaries, shopping area and restaurants
I loved its contemporary design and deco. From the hotel lobby right down to the room. I requested for a room on the highest floor and with a great view and they gave us a great room with a truly beautiful view of the mountains...even from the bathroom! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and wonderful to chat with.
Room was spacious and comfortable. Location was perfect. Near to everything.
staff were very friendly and helpful. the view of the city from the hotel is beautiful. hotel has outdoor pool and areas to relax (indoor and outdoor), which oversee the city not much sound proofing, which made it very noisy. the plumbing is very noisy and kept us awake
Good Location The breakfast was very poor
Very central Breakfast could be better, with some cooked hot food.
The room was serviced regularly and the reception staff were helpful. The continental breakfast is rather basic. They only serve one croissant and a hard bread roll. Some tables were given biscuits some were not. When I asked one of the staff if I could have my croissant toasted because it was such a cold morning I was told that they do not do that, no oven or toaster.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them, all spoke english, and they went out out their way to help us.
It's location. Some of the staff very helpful
the location near the sanctuary ,shop and resto The receptionist would change my reserved selection room and I must pay more if I want to take my reserved room.
solitude, proximity to the sanctuary and shops. beddings(sheets & duvee)could be enhanced for greater comfort.
Only the location I like I chose to stay because they are interested in from this dihotel 4 stars and of course hoping to get 4 star service and facilities, it turns out after living there for three nights I was disappointed especially for the bathroom ammenities there's only soap and shampoo there was no shower cap or something any facilities of four star hotel also in the bedroom, may need to be reconsidered to install a four-star hotel with facilities and services in accordance with the standard 4 star hotel
Location was only plus No way this is a four star hotel, old, run down, no mini bar or fridge that worked
The service provided by all the staff. Rooms are too small but it is fine.
Staff was very friendly and accomodating Room was ok considering Lourdes is really not known for their hotels.. Hallway was kinda creepy.
The personal service was fantastic. Staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and to make us feel welcome.
The receptionist she greeted us with a smile and very curtious and friendly. Very helpful. Even when we told her we were checking out earlier than previous planned. Too loud in the evening and too hot. My mother was not very comfortable for the price she was paying.
It was like going back in time to a very gracious and elegant time. I really enjoyed the decor , the space, the gardens, I especially loved th breakfast room and the breakfast
the staff were all extremely friendly and very helpfu
Close to the church, Good rate, Helpful staff, Not enough light in the room, too dark to change.
the room faced the front of the hotel so we had a great view. we were booked in to a handicap room which upset us , so they said we would have to wait to see if there was a cancellation later in the day. There was so we then got a standard room. We could not sign up for breakfast/dinner each day, cause it was booked. they said we should have signed up at the time we booked The toilet seat would not stay up, which I reported first day, but it was never fixed. the elevators were very slow, not enough room each time for all to enter.
Hotel staff very freindly, the rooms were very clean. there was some confusion over breakfast, as to were we was sitting due to them having two different places to eat, but it all worked out in the end
proximity to sites of interest. genral good standard and good value for money. would stay there again
Its proximity to the Shrine and the helpfulness of the hotel staff. The dustbins were emptied at 6 00am and, being in the heart of the town the noise meant that it was impossible to sleep through it.
because my knees were a problem, i found its proximity to the sanctuary very convenient. the claustrophobic toilet (enclosed fr the bath) and the dark room (you cannot open the curtains because you will be seen from the outside). the walls should be painted a light color and the carpet should be changed to wood (even simulated only)
A nice friendly hotel conveniently located
The location The rooms are very small and our bed very hard
friendly staff,very central
The hotel staff were very cordial. Especially one staff member named Joanna, went out of her way to help us out. She answered all our questions and was more than eager to help us out. Joanna is truly a blessing to Hotel Angelic. The breakfast was also very sumptous and had a good variety of items. None
old tv which does not work!
Staff are courteous and tried to meet what we requested, No shower curtains n time wasted having to mop bath floor with loo rolls, hot water on n off, heating in room requested nightly basis, breakfast- bread rolls not all tht fresh, overiped fruits placed there for 5days. limited in choice, warm water for tea making n staff nt around to make sure enough hot water. for everyone. Placed name seating yet someone ate at our table n not supervised by staff till we notified them..A bit disappointing for mature visitors though some staff are quite friendly and helpful.
A warm welome and very pleasant and obliging staff. I would have liked to have a kettle and a few sachets of tea and coffee in the room.
The night staff could not speak english. Wifi was out of order. This hotel is for group and not recommeded.
Staff were quite helpful and readily attended to our queries and need. Location is reasonable close to the Sanctuary. Room was clean and reasonably sized. The shower has no curtain or door to keep the water in during shower. WiFi did not work in the room, but execellent in the lobby. Communication has some room for improvement, as kitchen staff got mixed up for the last day of our stay, and had not prepared our dinner setting until we showed up. We eventually got the dinner, but the quality and quantity were different from the other nights. The biggest problem for us is the smoking area the hotel sets for the smokers on the foyer just outside one of the hotel entrances, around the corner from the hotel resturant. We are non-smokers and don't like second-handed smoke, but yet we breathed the smoke just about every day during breakfast and dinner, even though we got our seating changed.
The hotel was very convenient to the activities that we wanted to do and the facilities were certainly adequate for our needs.
It's location and modern outlook. A bit noisy as people were loud in corridors
Staff very supportive, friendly and polite.Rooms were very clean, Could do whith a fan on hot summer days.
Location. not pretentious. Nothing in particular.
It was so close to the Grotto. The people at the front desk were very helpful and kind. There were cafes near to eat at. The room was so beautiful and spacious. I did not like the small door on the shower. It made it difficult for the water to stay in the bathtub.
The coutnesy of staff
The location and the design of the hotel itself. Nothing.
The Hotel was very well presented and the staff helpful and very polite. The room, although quite large was quite basic for a 4 star hotel.
Location Everything was old. The bed, bedding. The food was bad.
Just completely Renovated...Decor unique! Position in relation to the Grotto ...the best in Lourdes.... Will always use this Hotel from now on and this was MY 40th time in Lourdes but 1st in this Hotel Shower was part of the Bath and the Bath a little deep for getting in to for the "advanced in years" !!!!!
Stylish and very comfortable. Also had air con, which is a blessing in Lourdes!
While in Lourdes most visitors are pilgrims to the Shrine celebrating the messages received by St. Bernadette from the Holy Mother of Jesus, Mary. This hotel is perfectly located for such a pilgrimage, and allows for maximum immersion in the experience of Lourdes. No.
The distancxe between the hotel and the grotto room service
I absolutely loved this hotel and would stAy again, it is pure luxury within walking distance to the grotto
It is located in a quiet area. The parking was free, and that was great! The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. There are no shower doors, so one must sit in the tub while taking a shower, otherwise, the water is all over the bathroom floor. Also, the toilet is in a separate room which is good, however, there is no sink in that room to wash your hands after using the toilet...one must go to the room with the tub and sink. In addition, the room with the toilet had a strong urine smell...the floor needed a good cleaning with a disinfectant!
