The cust service was nice They did not hold my bed, I had to sleep on a pullout bed in a conference room
Great location, convenience, and staff.
Service was awesome. Valet parking was a lifesaver!
The location to downtown cannot be beat, blocks away from great bars and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable hotel staff was super helpful and recommendations on what to do in our down time.
A continental breakfast option would be great!
Room was very clean, gorgeous hotel and the on-site underground parking was very convenient. A little steep at $14/day, but it's downtown Minneapolis so I expected that. Bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely furnished - for the size of the bed though it could have used probably two more pillows. The front desk clerk, Kate, that assisted us with check in was so friendly and helpful when we asked for restaurant and nightlife recommendations and directions. Her suggestions were spot-on! She also upgraded us to a higher floor room and gave us complimentary wifi (I believe it was somewhere around $15 a day otherwise). The pool and spa area were completely overrun with children and adults loosely supervising them. Kids were running, splashing in the spa, going in and out of the workout room... this isn't necessarily the hotel's problem, but my boyfriend and I were really looking forward to a soak in the hot tub that never happened. Also, we received a voucher for an appetizer in the lounge at check in. The night we decided to use it, my boyfriend had left his wallet in the room. When we sat at the bar, I ordered a glass of wine (I had my wallet and ID), and he ordered water, but we were told that we could not sit at the bar if he didn't have ID. He wasn't drinking, but they made us move to a table that was - quite literally - two feet farther away from the bar than we were previously. The appetizer that we received was nothing spectacular (we had the potato skins) and tasted very bland. We didn't order anything but the free app and it took almost twenty five minutes to get it. The water glasses were stained and looked a little dirty. I was not impressed with the lounge or it's staff.
Family had a good time. Wifi is available but isn't free.
Need glasses in the room firxwater
Close to many downtown attractions as well as great places to eat. Liked the option of the parking garage or valet parkingw Wished it was a little closer to Target Center & Target Field
Awesome breakfast, helpful staff, beautiful view, fantastic location Having to pay for parkingg
Great location close to the metro. Staff was very helpful and nice. Check in and check out was very quick and easy. Bathroom had no fan and the sliding door wouldn't stay closed all the way. Minor problem though the room was very modern and comfortable.
Proximity to Nicollette Mall Temperature was freezing in meeting rooms, common areas
Lounge, Workout Facility, Sauna, and Quiet Room.
Great service from the minute we walked in the door! It was our 9 anniversary and they wine and dined us till we left. Nothing
A wonderful, well kept, well situation hotel in downtown Minneapolis. If you are looking for a nice place to rest without spending too much, this place is for you. Not much negative to say! There was a slight tear in the one sheet on my bed. WiFi costs money here. Im really getting nit picky put Kayak says I have to use 100 characters!
Charged extra for everthing rude front desk people Staff attitude
My room was very quiet, staff was friendly, exciting location downtown close to fun bars, covered parking, hotel is less expensive than other downtown hotels, and I needed a wine bottle opener and was given one at no charge.
They were friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating. I was there for a week and they were on top of my needs and requests.
I liked being able to check in early. The hotel desk staff was very friendly and accomidating. I requesting a single bed but was given a double. When I called to change rooms there was no hassle and a bell hop (also very friendly) came to our room to switch keys with us. The shower water took around 3-5 min to turn up in temperature. I felt like I was just wasting water for it to become semi-warm. Also I went down to use the sauna and it was cold. It took about 30 min for it to become semi-warm as well.
We stayed with several other Families and had a great time. All the hotel facilities are newer, clean and functional. No problems at all.
Great value for money (<$100 per night) given the AirBNB alternatives. Lunch and breakfast spots are a 5-15 minutes walk, which may or may not be a lot. The heater issues seemed to be addressed by instructions on the Front Desk. Would come back given the price. There is construction going on in the larger area affecting multiple properties but not really a lot. That said, it seems things are a bit slower.
The rooms were very small. It seemed that the room had not been dusted in quite sometime. The temp was almost 80 when we checked in. We had to call for someone to come check. It turned out that we were unable to adjust the temp for the entire stay!!!!! Upon check out we discovered that they had charged us for an extra day of parking. It was taken care of but employee not to happy to do it. I would never ever stay here again and would never recommend it to anyone!!!!!!!! Also apple products do not work in the room.
Close to everything; our main destination was Orchestra Hall but we found ourselves near awesome restaurants and pubs. We were charged a $10 fee for an upgrade that we never requested or agreed to. When I called the receptionist was uber polite and corrected it. A very minor issue.
The room was welcoming, larger than expected, great views. Room service was prompt and had great drink selections. The food (mushroom arancini and turkey burger) were great. Easy access to cabs to get us to our NYE destination downtown. Was unaware of the NYE party going on in the hotel, extreme security in place to even get to our room, bottle necks at elevators, loud party goers, and strange routes to get from parking to hotel because of the event. Might have chosen another hotel if we had known.
Hotel has an amazing gym with great equipment and a full size indoor basketball course. The room service and valet was excellent, and food was good. Stayed here while Meta-Con was being hosted by the hotel and it was extremely crowded, kids seemed to be having fun but most were obnoxious, rude, and out of line. I wouldn't stay here if the hotel was hosting this event again.
Extremely good value at $79/night! We stayed with some family so we had three rooms total and we got to be right next to each other. Very friendly and personable staff.
The room was comfortable and close to restaurants and other downtown activities. One big negative was the last minute change from 2 queen beds to one king and "Pull-out" queen. The pull-out was too small and uncomfortable. When I asked about the change, I was told that I booked with third party agent. This came across very negative. I booked a room with two beds and it was changed to one bed and a pull-out. Bad business!!
-Club floor ($30 extra per night provides continental breakfast and dinner hors d'oeuvres) -Comfortable beds -Nice view -Affordable parking with in/out priviliges -More food options during continental breakfast
Queen beds were nice and the bathroom was big. Market in the lobby had a good variety of snacks/fruit (a bit pricey). My room didn't have a fridge, but they got one to me in less than 1/2 hour. Very nice staff! Parking right there and not too expensive ($17/day) Room took a bit to cool off, but was nice once it did. At check in I was told that since I booked through a third party (Kayak), they put a $200 hold on my credit card that I would get back. I don't travel much, so I didn't understand this. The room was already nonrefundable.
Fantastic service, great staff, beautiful lobby. Very comfortable bed. Rooms were quiet and restful. Some of the furniture was a little beat-up, though not very bad. Room was a little dark; would have appreciated one more lamp.
Great comfortable room
A great stay for work. Easy walk to the convention center. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and functional. Very comfortable.
The room was a great space. Everything was excellent and the staff was super friendly and helpful. No hot tub.
downtown access extra charges - wifi $10 parking $17
Good price, great staff, covered parking
The welcome by staff and their enthusiasm to ensure that my stay was perfect made my visit absolutely wonderful. My stay with Doubletree was outstanding! I haven't stayed in a hotel with such attention to detail and especially to guest satisfaction in a very long time! I would highly recommend this hotel to others. There was little to quibble with, but at times the cleaning was a bit slapdash, and rather late in the day. (i was out early each day I stayed).
Comfort No swimming pool
I liked my stay very much! Nice people, very good and big room, nice beds, liked the towels, everything was clean. Did not hear noise from outside. Location was close to downtown. Breakfast very good I did not like the pizza served in the restaurant of the hotel. There was so much cheese on it, that eating it all would have killed me.
The Hilton Garden Inn was extremely clean, modern, and had the most comfortable beds I've experienced in a hotel.
I paid for my reservation online with kayak. When I went to check in, I was charged an additional 20 something dollars for insurance. It was refunded after we checked out, but it would have been nice to know in advance.
The staff was fabulous and could not have been more helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable.
a great hotel with a good location for most downtown business. The staff was much better than most and I would stay there again.
A clean hotel but super simple. The price I paid for the room didn't match the amenities. Would not recommend.
Paying for parking
We had a great experience at the Hilton Garden. The valet guys were very friendly and helpful for sure. We couldn't decide where to eat for dinner or where to go. They gave us an idea of what restuarants-bars were close to the area. (almost mini concierges!!) We ended up eating at the restuarant at the hotel, and it was excellent! We enjoyed the two for one bar specials and the food was fantastic. The front desk was helpful with any questions/directions we needed. Overall - great stay! Thank you!! We were going to the Vikings game on Sunday. My son wanted to stay at the hotel where the Vikings stayed at. The description online made it sound like this was the Hilton 'Home of the Vikings' if I recall correctly. As it turned out, the Vikings did not stay at this Hilton, it was one down a few blocks. So be careful with your advertising.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is very close to the convention center. Shopping aand restaurants are near.
We liked the staff. They were helpful with directions. The Valets are awesome! Cleaniliness
I loved the proximity to the Nicolette Mall in downtown Minn. The staff were extremely well-trained and professional and did I say friendly? The valet parking for $24 for the entire 3 days was an exceptional deal. The pool was a bit small but we did not have time to use it anyways.
The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was excellent, would definitely stay here again.
Good value for money and extremely convenient to downtown Minneapolis. Pool was quite small and not conducive to swimming laps and the exercise room was also small and poorly equipped.
Easy to get to & was a good value. The parking lot is small & we ended up using public parking across the street, the cost was the same as parking at the hotel.
That the room was clean and the complimentary breakfast A shuttle bus should have been provided from the airport to the hotel.
It was inexpensive. It was loud all night long, I slept horribly. Also I was worried about the safety of my vehicle.
