Good quality mattresses, bed comfort and linen exceptional
The staff were very curtious. The only complaint i have is finding the entrance, i had to drive around the building a few times before i found where it was..
-Facility was great -Very clean -Felt luxurious -Good service -Hotel employees were on strike and it was uncomfortable to cross picket lines, some amenities unavailable, but overall regular service seemed unaffected.
Walk to All Monreal has to offer, Old City/St. Catherine St./Chinatown take Elevater to the Lobby, Fantastic Rooftop with Heated Pool & Spa complete the experience Beds were very Comfortable Metro next door Parking under hotel Had to walk stairway to get to my room
Our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Although we had heard some concerns about night time noise, the hotel was quiet during our stay. The pool was lovely as ever, and a hot tub has been added since our last stay. The water temperature was just right in both pool and hot tub. Lockers for your clothes are free. The exercise room is nice. The duck pond was fun to watch. A hotel the size of the Bonaventure could really use three hot tubs, especially since (unlike many hotels) the pool is so popular. We thought the hotel restaurants were a little expensive, although there are some reasonable dining options in the levels below Place Bonaventure. The carpeting in the hallways looks very worn, but on closer inspection, it's the pattern.
Unique experience superior location kind and helpful staff. Asked for a room with great view in quiet location and this was delivered. We arrived early and our bags were cared for and again the next day after checkout. It was an experience to swim and hottub on a roof top and see ducks swimming in a pond with large spruce trees outside while eating great breakfast buffet the next morning again on a roof top. Took someone special to Montreal for her 77th birthday and she was so impressed with our stay, the staff and the facilities that we have decided to make an annual event. That we didn't have more time
Incredibly close to the Bell Center. Easy access in and out of the city. Roof top gardens and pool. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Staff was also friendly and helpful. Small bathroom and lack of inexpensive television options.
First rate hotel in excellent downtown location. Helpful, friendly and professional staff.
Clean, basic comfort; high-end facility. Not intrusive. Congenial. Moderate walking distance to sights (Vieux Port) and shopping (Ste-Catherine and underground Ville-Marie) and city-tour terminals.
Rooftop pool, buffet breakfast When I booked with Kayak the price was $195/night but I ended up paying $239/night + taxes.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great maid-service, comfortable bed. Nice, spacious work-out facility, free newspaper. Great location for getting onto the metro. Definitely, it would be a good place, I can imagine, to stay in, during a winter visit. Pricey buffet. Didn't eat there because of cost. 25 dollars per person. Wifi only worked well in the closet or bathroom locations, in our room. The exterior and interior of the hotel are concrete. So, at first I had a feeling of being incarcerated. However, I adjusted and realized many buildings Montreal are similarly constructed.
The pool and convenience to downtown are big pluses at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Quiet rooms. We hope to come back again.
The proximiity to the Palais du congress,, the parking, and the economical price with breakfast. It is just what I needed for what I was doing. nothing
The desk staff were very helpful and efficient.
I stayed at travel lodge with a couple friends and the location was awesome. Hotel was clean and in good condition. Breakfast was delicious. Had a room with a bunk bed and the top bed was a bit small and quite firm. Otherwise really enjoyed my stay.
I only like the location. The receptionists were rude and not professional at all.
Very good value, good location.
it was close to the city sights.
It was way too small, We bearly had room for our bags and ourselves to walk. definitely not going to be going back..
Good location & helpful staff. The room was a bit noisy from both outside the building as well as the hallways.
Surprisingly nice quality for the price and brand of hotel Everything was great
The room with a queen and pull-out sofa was not large enough to handle the sofa extension. No room for maneuvering.
The staff were very polite and helpful The wifi connection worked well Continental breakfask was included Very few TV channels
Convenience to Old Montreal, China Town and Catherine Street & Area. It was fine for me, my wife would have liked to have had a bath tub though to relax. Room was a bit small, but for us it was only a place to lay our head at the end of the day.
The location was perfect for us; mere blocks away from Place De Arts (Jazz Festival) and also only a short walk to Old Montreal. The hotel was immaculate, the staff were wonderful, the room was huge and the beds were extremely comfortable. A Keurig coffeemaker was a welcome touch. We will definitely stay there again! That our stay was so short!
Centrally located (for McGill visit and proximity to Old Montreal nightlife). Clean, comfortable. Overall great value. Would DEFINITELY recommend.
Small and quiet. Boutique feel. Very good service. Hotel restaurant was better than I expected, given the yelp reviews. The room was very clean, had classical music playing. Wifi was fast and responsive. Exchange rates made this place very affordable. Construction on the building next door - more of a pain to walk around did not cause extra noise. Service may have been *too* over the top. They'd call every day to make sure I didn't want housekeeping, even though the tag was on the door. Had to redo wifi every 24 hours.
Nice room, great bed and convenient downtown location.
It's close to everything, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A few buildings near the hotel are currently under construction and make some some noise.
The hotel is quite small and has limited rooms making it feel a little more exclusive for some reason.Rooms are completely new and spacious. The bathrooms are clean and the hotel provides enough towels for 4 people in a room for 2!The hotel also seems to provide towels for the pool (I am not sure of that, however, I saw some guests bring back yellow towels to the reception). Also, their restaurant L'Aromate was a beautiful and delicious place to enjoy a meal or two :) The only thing is that I found the pool a little small, but a beautiful outdoor area for resting and reading.
PROs: Great location. Comfortable beds (if you like a firm mattress). Lots of public parking nearby (ie.lot behind hotel) for $10-$17 / day so did not use the valet parking on site. Clean room. Nice, new modern decor. Used the free wi-fi in room without any issues with speed or reliability. Some previous reviews have complained about the paint smell and/or down feather smell. I noticed a slight "new paint smell" in the halls but nothing noticable in room and certainly not offensive. CONs: Digital thermostat on wall by bed... so brightly lit it's impossible to sleep! Had to cover it up with layers of sticky-notes which I (fortunatley) happened to have. Poor bathroom lighting... good luck ladies, trying to apply your make-up! I had to attempt to use my compact mirror at the window. Pool and Fitness Room... both tiny. New machines in gym, though not many nor much selection.
Awesome place. Nice outdoor pool (like a hot tub in winter). Very clean and modern setup. Close to shopping.
Nothing specific stands out, hotel is well appointed and rooms were lovely, TV connection could be faster; nothing stands out about the hotel - I think for a hotel that aspires to the luxury class - I think more could be done to stand out. Food in the restaurant was decent and the staff amicable, but slow
This hotel is right in downtown with most of the attractions at walking distance. The buildinfg us old and the rooms are big with high ceiling. Quite impressive.loved iur time here Would have been nice ti aerve hot breakfast and have more vegan options
I like the huge suites, and friendly staff. Close to all attractions and metro.
Good location. Easy walk to both old town and Mont Royal Park. Room was very big and comfortable. TV reception was grainy at times.
The cleanliness right down to the carpet was apparent. Many hotels use carpet past its prime...not this hotel. The series of elevators from parking to reception could be better identified. The pathway wasn't as intuitive as I am ussd to.
I was traveling through Montreal, stopped downtown and decided to stay, this was the best value hotel downtown, excellent staff, great location. I'm staying here the next time I visit.
I liked that the Hyatt was centralized to all locations in Montreal. It was walking distance to Downtown Montreal and walking distance to old Montreal. The Hyatt was a close walking distance to the metro as well. There was nothing I did not like.
(1) Location was excellent (2) Parking rates were reasonable (3) Breakfast Buffet Good (4) Female staff at front desk very friendly and helpful, more than males (5) I'm vegetarian, the cook prepared nice surprised meal for my milestone birthday dinner. (6) After 4 days I finally got to eat Waffle, only after I inquire/requested, one the male waitress really went out of the way to make sure I get to eat it. (1) Cheap Mattress (2) Room Decor & Furniture ok for the brand & money (3) Curtains had tiny holes in them (4) Bathroom Wall was not painted after some repair...rusty look left visible (5) Cammode shaky when you sit on it (6) Rooms not as bright, suggest putting LED WHITE lights instead
Beautiful fireplaces, as well as the best Amaretto Sour I've ever had in my LIFE. The hotel itself is very, very beautiful, and the staff are really great, especially Maria at the front desk! Room was not as pretty as expected. Bathtub was meh.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Shops and restaurants are very close by. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The rooms were not as modern as the lobby, but it wasn't a big deal for me.
The bed was comfortable and we had what we needed except a table to sit at would have made the experience better. VerygkAd to have had a refrigerator. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the very close proximity of Eggspectation restaurant where they have an outstanding breakfast menu. We had trouble getting the room to warm up in the morning. I thought the listing said their pool was not open yet and so I didn't bring a swimsuit and missed the chance to use the pool. Also, Kayak, you confirmed my reservation but I never saw anything about printing a voucher so the front desk needed me to present my confirming email.
Location was close to the convention center, the arts district, and the shoppoing as well. It was close tot he bus and train routes but did not try these. The view was good enough. Wi fi was free with membership. The location is on top of a mall. The room had a fridge for small items. The staff was helpful and couteous. The rooms were quiet. Elevator wait was short. Pool is 8 feet and workout room was adequate. Shower was slightly weak (that is being very picky). There is a set of elevators to get to the lobby from the lobby, just a slight inconvenience but increases security. Could have info on transportation to airport on their site.
The location is great, museums, old montreal, notre damme, mcgill, train station, restaurants, everything at a reasonable walking distance, breakfast is a very good buffet. The breakfast is a little expensive, there is poor signaling for the lobby, and since it is in the 6th floor it is a little tricky to find it
I loved the ultra modern style and comfort of the Hyatt Regency at the Complexe Des Jardins in Montreal. The shops and central location were magnificent! The only minor hassle was in trnsferring from elevators... but again... very minor.
Great location near art museums and 3 blocks from convention center. Outdated rooms although the lobby has gotten a makeover.
I feel that for the price that I paid the rooms need to be renovated I've stayed in Montreal at other hotels much much better for less money I feel that for the price that I paid the rooms need to be renovated I've stayed in Montreal at other hotels much much better for less money carpet in the room was old Uchitel the shower was very bad need some improvement
The pool was large enough to accommodate 6 people swimming lanes in the early morning. The whirlpool was hot, not just lukewarm. The chambermaid was helpful when I asked for more tea. I loved getting The Globe and Mail on Saturday. I could store my baggage for half a day. The front staff were not able to offer an alternative restaurant when the Bonaparte was full. The coffeemaker was very small. The whirlpool had not much "whirl" in it. These were small irritants.
The staff were very-very nice, all of them. The room had a desk with cables to connect to ethernet and the TV, very good to get some work done. The breakfast was a little expensive.
location, tranquility, friendly and hospitable exercise room close after 900pm,and open toolate am at 10am
Location and cleanliness are good points. Our Booking.com room reservation was not respected and we spent our first night in a lower quality room due to 'over booking'. Note that the bathroom floors are unusually slippery.
We were surprised at the size of the room - very spacious, and we were stunned at the quality of the food; it was a real gourmet meal. The waitress was particularly good, considering she had to run from the restaurant to the kitchen!
staff very friendly no
The location was great close to everything I think it is ridiculous that you have to pay $26 a day to park in a hotel you are staying at.I also feel the charge for the internet was way to high. The bed was not comfortable.
The big rooms and the nice spacious lobby area.
The room...its so good and comfortable!! The beds are clean and the shower nice! Nothing.
The Swimming facility and women change area was filthy! And the room service ie. food quality and arrival of room service was terrible.
business trip only...just stayed one night no...very clean and comfortable...rate was a little higher than I had expected to pay...but was okay.
Housekeeping staff and concierge were nice and helpful. Food was blah and exorbitantly priced. Salads for two: over $50; breakfast buffet for two: over $50. What a complete waste of money! Save yourself time and money and grab a quick bite in the cafe a few shops down the hall or better yet at an outdoor cafe. The front desk staff were rude. when I checked in, I was told I had booked a king (needed a double), and that I was lucky they weren't sold out, so he was able to give me a room with a double (after sufficient attitude was delivered my way). I later found my confirmation email that clearly stated "deluxe double room". If I can find an alternate, clean hotel, I won't stay here again.
Dirty bed linens
Maybe its good for extended stay or business travler no concierge service we had to wait just about 45 minutes for service
Staff was friendly and helpful. Free WiFi and Hotel was underneath the metro which made things easy if you know where your going. Bathroom was small and the main restaurant in the lobby was a bit pricey.
The location and room was absolutely wonderful. Loved everything about my stay
Nice hotel at central location, nice gym, comfy bed and room. Noisy A/C - asked to fix, but guy claimed that's the normal noise level for their equipment, weird. And in one day, there were no hot water in shower for long time, had to take an almost cold one - water did come in about hour later.
Clean rooms and great location for Montréal. No hottub, also the staff didn't serve our request for double beds even though we booked two double beds. They came up with a story how they are sorry and that it's not available even though we booked it. No refund or anything was given either. Be careful what you pay - we paid extra for double beds and didn't get them.
Metro is right under the hotel. Walking distance to almost all attractions, if you're used to walking (Old Montreal, the Cathedral, Chinatown) Older hotel. Old elevator. Mall in the hotel is not very lively at all. Garaged parking is quite expensive CAN$25-34. You can park on the street for free after certain hours.
The view from the 21st floor The wifi wasn't working and no obe would help
i reserved a room wih two beds. I wss given a room with a king. I requested extra bedding so that my friend and I could separate in the bed somewhat. The concierge promised to provide this. She never sent any extra bedding. The sheets that were in my room had a hole in them and there was hair in my shower.
Great support staff, everyone was courteous, friendly, and helpful. and I do mean everyone at the hotel. Being located over the metro was big convenience to access subway system, Why is breakfast always so pricey? It's too easy to spend $75-$100 for a family of four...
Burger sliders at the bar was dry and rancid
Courteous, friendly, concerned staff Really have nothing to complain about
The hotel lobby and room were very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs, offering great suggestions of good places to eat as well.
Very modern clean hotel. Close to city center.
nice breakfast buffet, good location in walking distance to sub and bus stations sagging bed/matress
The desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, the bathroom was particularly spacious. Shopping and dining are within easy walking distance.
Clean rooms very nice pool and gym
staff were friendly and bent over backwards to help with any questions or requests. room was fabulous with very comfortable beds. no niose to speak of meant a good nights sleep. breakfast is poorly organised and expensive. the pool was cold.
Great roof top pool, steam room and gym, easy access to many tourist destinations without being right in the middle of them.
This was a very good hotel for a number of reasons: location, on-site parking, restaurant in the hotel, and reasonable prices. There wasn't anything we didn't like. We stayed for two nights, didn't use the pool or fitness facilities.
Clean hotel and price for the stay wasn't on a main strip, needed to drive to certain locations
Beds were very comfortable and rooms were very clean. The location was great, we walked everywhere. They advertise a king bed in our room we booked but they do not have king beds in the hotel, their "king beds" are actually queen size beds. False advertisement. The staff argued with us over this matter after we had an 8 hour drive and got there at 1:30 am on friday july 31. Parking was also an issue, it was $25/day and they charged us for the thursday night, although we got there on friday morning. The staff was very difficult to deal with.
Loved the location. Was near Old Montreal and many activities in area. Staff was very help in showing places to eat and visit. Cookies that were given out with Tea and water were a little hard.
Room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was not exotic but saved time and money. There are only 2 small elevators servicing the building and the wait was a bit of a drag,
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Location is good, walkable distance to St Catherine and China Town. No access to stroller for the main entrance, as they have stairs only. We are 4 adults+2kids for a 2 bedrooms suite, they have to charge me $30extra per day for the addictional 2 adults. Also the parking costs $20 a day.
Enjoyed being on Sherbrooke Street, close to art galleries and an easy walk downtown. The breakfast room needed extra staff to clean tabletops. The flow in that room is annoying- cramped where you pick up food, and it feels like everyone walks over you as you get the day started. This coud be remedied.
We found toilet paper in the recently cleaned toilet. We didn't tell the reception, just flushed the toilet.
Location is great. Kitchenette was fully appointed--pots, pans, mixing bowls, wine opener, dish towels, etc. Pool. Sauna. Balcony. All great. The walls are a bit thin but our neighbors were thankfully quiet.
Close to everything. Within walking distance of all the sights we chose to see.
Location in central Montreal, close to all amenities
The room was WAY cooler than I was expecting! Also the guy at the desk that checked us in and out was really helpful (and pretty cute) Couldn't find the exercise machines (the card said top floor - there was only a pool and sauna), kinda sad I didn't get the chance to check it out. Also re: breakfast, option for hot cooked food would have made the experience perfect.
We literally had a complete one bedroom apartment with fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. Bathroom was recently refurbished with an excellent shower. The breakfast which was included was far superior to any hotel buffet I'd seen befor It happened to be quite a hot summer and the one air conditioner was located in the living room which didn't cool the bedroom where there was a ceiling fan which didn't provide much cooling.our kids actually moved their mattress into the LR in their unit
Location No hot tub at pool.
Location and staff. Was a little too warm overall in the hotel, but the air conditioner in the room worked fine.
Staff very friendly and accomodating. Eric at koko and Sophie the bartender the best. King size bed reallly comfortable. within walking distance of plenty of restaurants. The lighting in the room could be better. too dark
Business , shopping, social
good location, nice modern rooms 2 burnt out light bulbs, hallway flood, tv remote broken on arrival, rate on the bill was incorrect for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there
The bed was comfortable, the spa tub was wonderful, there was a free driving service, and the staff was friendly The restaurant was not open 7 days a week
Clean, good staff, comfortable rooms Weekend party location, euro-style shower
Clean, modern, in a great location (within walking distance to most places), and had a great staff. Did not include breakfast or parking. We walked 10 minutes for parking ($15 a night vs $28 at hotel)
Cool modern decor, huge room size, excellent front desk staff and valet car service, bedding was super comfy! Street noise, unreliable hot water!
The bed was really comfortable. We didn't like the location of the bedroom, we were close from the Koko nightclub, the bar of the hotel, and there was loud music until 3 am, our room vibrated! I called the front desk and they ask me that the music stop at 3 am! Moreover we didn't like the brightness in the bedroom, curtains were not opaque and it was very clearly in the bedroom early in the morning.
decor, location, staff
Generally, I was pleased with my stay,Opus is an attractive hotel, well located, and pet friendly - my biggest concern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. decor needs refreshing, carpet needs replacement

Location is great! Although in China town, hotel is located between old Montreal port and the main shopping street (Rue St. Catherine), 10 min walk to each location. Free Wifi. Good breakfast selection. Helpful reception. Rooms are spacious but dated (8th floor). Breakfast personnel is not friendly, service charge was automatically included the second day.
1) Location - walking distance to Old Montreal and Shopping Districts 2) Transportation - taxi stand outside - Metro across the street 3) Staff - friendly and helpful 4) Breakfast not included 1) Room was in rough shape - clean *but* : holes in walls; scratched doors; shower head worked at 50%; 2) Breakfast Buffet - expensive and most things tasted like chinese chow mein 3) Constant smell of Chinese food if the window was opened.
my stay was very short but what i liked was the hotel was convenient to the business i went there to do. i liked everything but for the price they charge the breakfast should be free.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. All spoke English well. Centrally located between Old Montreal and downtown shopping. Leave your car in the underground parking and walk everywhere.
The courtesy of the staff, their attention to details and their desire to satisfy the needs I expressed (ie: come back to my room at lunch on my last day ('till 2:00 pm) although I had already checked out, to rest as I was feeling sick that morning). This was very appreciated! No. For the price, my spouse and I were impressed! Thanks!
Location was perfect for our needs (Palais de Congress. The website photos showed and wrote that there would be free weights in the gym, there were none. The gym was not adequate for what was advertised.;
Clean and accesible to major attractions Noisy at times
Nothing, there was nothing to like about this hotel. For that price it was like staying at a Chinese motel. Lobby looked nice that was it. Rooms, a rat hole looks better. Bathroom well I will not describe because people might throw up. Also if you going to run a hotel on Canadian/French soil, at least make sure one of your employees speaks english. I felt like I was in another country. No English.
The location cannot be beat, close to the Vieux Port, the Bell Centre, St. Catherine's Street, the Quartier Latin, as well as public transportation. The price is excellent. Clean, large rooms, with comfortable beds. The breakfast was adequate, especially considering it is included, but could definitely have been better.
Great location, close to Place d'Armes metro station, walkable to Vieux Montreal. Modern rooms with great windows, nice bathroom, and comfortable bed. The included breakfast was a low-point in the stay. The hotel, like most of the city while we were there, was under construction, which diminished the overall feel and appearance.
Excellent location for downtown adventure. Parking lots locate just around the corner and cost $20 from 12p.m. until next 12p.m. Subway station is accross the street. All facilities were in working conditioin. Good staff. Just pay attention that hotels' street number was # 9, not 17 as it specified on the website.
the room was good. Location is between 2 sex shop which is not apparent on website. Currently has major road works in area infront of hotel was also not declared. This was very noisy. Internet when working was fast but not always able to connect from room.
Hotel staff was most helpful. Many Montreal attractions, shopping and restaurnats are within walking distance.
Staffs are friendly and informative. The room was clean and well-kept. Nearby the Metro which makes travelling around the city easy. Getting food is easy as it is near Chinatown. Good Wifi access. Hotel is located at the red-light area.
The staff was very friendly and accommodated all requests as well as made good suggestions for dining, shopping and things to do. The room was very clean and comfortable in the ambiance of a historic setting. Unfortunately there was construction on the street but this would not prevent me from returning and no doubt it will be completed to make the area more attactive to visit.
Good location in the city, cheap. I have no complaints or dislikes. But atm there was construction outside, creaky floors. But overall my stay was good.
Its located central No Bathroom/Toilet In the room / Sex shops directly infront of the hotel
The place is a gem, the location is for those interested in safaris only, as there is much wildlife around - after all it is located in le quartier latin "chaude" Long legged strippers having a smoke outside their bar across the street, complete with bikers on the prowl, drug addicts so shaken their friends have to lite their smokes for them, and much more. Ant invasion thru the brick walls, promptly dealt with by the most courteous staff as they moved me to a new room, with no view of the ants but a much better view of the other wildlife. All this aside I would stay again and will June 19 thru 23rd, 2010 as I have another conference in one of my favourite cities. Did I feel safe, yes. Was it fun, Yes. Is it handy, yes.
Hotel is located in Rue St. Catheringe It's located in quit a bad area with a lot of sex-industry business.
Great location. Right in the middle of a bunch of great neighborhoods with restaurants, sights, etc. Also close to metro stations and bus stops so very easy to get around. Also close by the bus stop for the bus that goes to and from the airport so easy to get to from the hotel. Staff is very nice and helpful and gave great restaurant recommendations. Definitely a good place for people traveling on a budget as you can stay in smaller rooms with shared bathrooms. Rooms and shared bathrooms are clean. Room was very small and not well finished (gap between floor and wall). Not a luxury hotel, but overall, great place to stay while traveling on a budget.
Value for money. You get what you pay. Too many stairs.
The staff were lovely, very attentive and helpful; the room itself was clean and neat, with an excellent shower. Would definitely stay there again.
Location, older building feeling, professionalism of day staff. Carpet and bed blanket
Only the proximity to Vieux Port noithing upgraded/renovated for many, many years...
Location, low cost, value for money The bathrooms and the washbasins are too small, the wifi does not always work, no A/C control in the room
Location My brand new vehicle geting scratched while they had my keys
The room is spacious and beds are comfortable. There is also a small dining table so that you can have breakfast in the room ( they bring breakfast in) Facility is a bit old, but still clean. Staff are nice and also helpful. It does not have elevator, so if you have room at the top floor, you need to climb long stairs which is not very convenient for the seniors. The wifi at room seems not working. I haven't been able to connect into the internet
Helpful staff, continental breakfast delivered in room quickly, free parking is a huge plus. Mattress was beyond it's normal life.
