We had a good experience at the hotel. Staff was nice and rooms were very clean. Only minor negatives: Room service food, particularly breakfast, isn't really that good, which forced us to start going out for breakfast ( 3 out of 5 stars). However no worries because it's NYC so there is plenty of food around. Location isn't the greatest, but it's close enough ( 4 out of 5 starts). The 9/11 memorial is right across the street, which is convenient, but other than that, you'll generally be taxiing or ubering everywhere. My boyfriend forgot his keys and didn't realize until we were back in DC. The great news is that the housekeeper did turn in the keys, but the guy in the list and find area was being a dick, asking him the most ridiculous questions... We still haven't received the keys either. Hopefully they actually send them.
Clean, beautiful view, attentive staff 20min cab ride to uptown
Location was what we liked and felt vary safe at all times. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortably. The parking was a great convenince but seamed pricey when you add it to the room cost. Maby price it per visit vs per night.
Great view, clean rooms, very attentive bellhop and staff. An air conditioning unit that was never able to reach the desired temp and a rattle from the unit itself all night long.
Loved everything from staff to the fresh new high class bed sheets 55 dollars a day to park, moved 1 bottle of champagne in the fridge and was charged 20 dollars for it, due to the sensors on the bottles, called front desk and they removed it from the bill with no issue though.
They easily accommodated all of my requests and the staff was delightful in all of their interactions. Beyond that, the hotels looks nice, has clean facilities and has a great location next to the One World Trade Center/Freedom Tower, as well as connections to a variety of subway lines. Very convenient.

The rate was great for NY. Room was clean and the bellman are always helpful. The bathrooms in the lobby are disgusting. If you're having a drink down there you have to constantly go up to your room to use the restroom since the others are so dirty and smell like urine. The concierge was not helpful. When asking for recommendations to restaurants, he would only direct us to their restaurant in the 3rd floor. Also asked him about the Book of Mormon show, he called and tickets were over 325 ea. We had to talk to other a couple others in the hotel who gave us recommendations and we got tickets for a little over 130 ea. Seems lazy or completely unaware - probably shouldn't be the concierge.
The location was very convenient to all of the Financial District. The attached restaurant provided good food and standard NY prices. The room was clean, quite (outside noise was minimal) and the staff very accommodating. Although the parking was discounted, it was about a block away. It was not clear where the parking facility was located and I circled the blocks a few times and wound up having to call the hotel to give me instructions on where to go.

It is a really good choice! Clean and new hotel, in the middle of wall street, it is really cheap compared to other much more options in new york. The price I paid was 20% less expensive than other hotel in town. Rooms are clean, nice and confortable. Self check in is strange but very efficient at the end!!!
The location, included amenities, and service were all spot on. Will definitely return here. Only complaint was the hard bed. That said, it was well worth the trade off.

The staff is very courteous and helpful. The premises are clean and well maintained. The location is awesome if you like to walk around and take in the sights. The Financial District is one of the few places I enjoy walking around as it isn't as densely populated at night. The room we had was right by a garbage disposal or ice machine so every so often we'd hear it go off. Very distracting and unpleasant. The room seemed smaller than it is because the ceilings are outrageously tall. The bathroom looks like the designer took a page out of the YMCA men's domicile for inspiration - cheap tile, crappy shower, meh. The windows haven't been washed in what I can only assume is eons so even if the view were breathtaking (it wasn't) you wouldn't be able to see it properly.

I thought the staff very responsive to my questions. I had a document printed out at short notice, and it was done efficiently and without complaint. What I most disliked was the set-up with the television. It is absolutely standard these days --even at a motel 6 -- to have a large number of cable tv stations available with at least some of the more common movie channels. There was none of that. Also, one would expect a large movies-on-demand set-up on the television and that too was missing. 2) my in-house phone did not work, and so to communicate with the front desk, I had to go down by elevator; 3) it was difficult to catch a cab in this part of wall street, and there was no way of doing so, according to the staff, except to walk 2 or 3 blocks and hope for the best. The hotel should have a better arrangement when it comes to cabs; 4) the bed was fine, but the only cover/comforter doubled as a bed-spread, which meant one had to sleep with the bed-spread, which I find off-putting -- potentially unclean.
it was in the center of a lot of attractions the wrong address is on the advertisement. It states 170 Broadway but it is not even on Broadway and believe me New York is not the place to get lost!! We drove around for over 2 hrs trying to find the hotel. The valet took $55 from us!!

I loved this hotel. It was perfect! The staff was super accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. Good mix of couples, and families with older children. For the location and price, I could not have stayed a better place.

I liked bringing my creature comforts from home and I didn't sacrifice my diet. I had the King Room with the full kitchen and it was well equipped, even more than I had expected. I was able to pick up goodies from the Greenmarket on Union Square. The location given wasn't accurate on GPS.
Awesome staff. Great having a full kitchen, saved a lot of money in NY. The charge to park/store my car for three nights/four days was about the same or less than one roundtrip Amtrak ticket from Boston (where I live). Very nit-picky here: the pillows were flat -- the feathery kind that flattens as soon as you put your head on it. Also, TV channels kind of stink if traveling with kids, no learning, just NICK, TOON, and ABC Family. BUT good tv, can plug in devices.

Ice cold filtered water and plastic bottles to fill, free of charge, on every floor - a lovely amenity in NYC in July. Room was luxe and comfortable, affordable by NYC standards, but there are signs that maintenance is being deferred - poorly patched ceilings and window seals, sluggish drains, housekeeping giving the once-over instead of a real cleaning. This was our second stay, but it was nicer last year. I hope it will be back on the upswing again next year! Better housekeeping and maintenance required - it's far from filthy and broken-down, but as an experienced traveler, I can see signs that things are being given a lick and a promise instead of the required cleaning and maintenance. My son's white socks were BLACK on the soles from walking around the carpeted room.

The location, the amenities, the staff, and the rate ... everything about this hotel was spectacular. I suggest everyone at least take a look at the restaurant that overlooks the 9/11 memorial and the rooftop deck. The staff at 10pm and at 10am were bubbly and personable but most importantly, they were extremely helpful. I can't say enough nice things about this property. The only negative that I could possibly mention is the water pressure wasn't as strong as I like. Other than that, everything was wonderful.
I liked the value of this hotel, as finding a decent hotel at an affordable rate is difficult in Manhattan. The room was small but efficiently laid out. On the 20th floor in the restaurant, one can get a great view of the 9/11 Memorial from atop. Breakfast is not included in stay, so beware as the breakfast buffet and a cup of tea came out to $24. Since New York is full of great restaurants and places to grab brunch, I always prefer to grab a tasty bite elsewhere.
Overall, our stay was short but sweet- the view from the restaurant is amazing, which can only be beat by the sun terrace! Absolutely breathtaking

Clean rooms, the staff was incredibly helpful and very friendly (gave us an upgrade, too!), great price, rooftop restaurant/bar had great views and a nice happy hour. There is a lot of construction near Ground Zero which can make it a little noisy during weekdays, but obviously that's not their fault and it really wasn't anything terrible. And over the weekend there was no noise at all.
Clean nice hotel near ground zero. Subway sations near as well as some restaurants. A suite was not very large, but comfortable for four people. A special price was very resonable for quality of hotel and service. Construction noise may disturb in some rooms, not a problem for us. A suite was booked for four people, but towels etc. only for three. After complaint an extra was gotten, but same problem next day.
We picked the hotel because of its price and location. Very nice design, clever use of space. We had a handicap accessible room and it worked great.

The hotel was clean , the room was just the right size. The services provided are very good (free internet access, with yourown pc in your bedroom, or in the pc room, where you can print out your check-in on-line; free water provided; gym facilities).The hotel is in the Financial district, very close to the subway station, so in 15 minutes you can be at Time Square). The staff was helpful. I found a little hole in the bed-sheet, but I believe that was just something that can happen once in a while. Compared to many other hotels in NY the World Center had a reasonable price, but still I found it quite expensive...250 Dollars for just one night (it was the night of the Marathon though, so prices were quite high everywhere)! I guess that's just NY!

Everyone was helpful, and gave great suggesstions. The room was large enough for the 4 of us, not always the case in NYC, clean and comfortable. We were very happy with the location and the BLT restaurant was very good.
Not much You pay additional for everything except a basic bed. The staff has a negative attitude that borders on rude. The elevator service is very slow.
Considering it was the marathon weekend we were able to get a room here. Very clean. Beds were small and not that comfortable. But for NYC it was bigger than I have seen
awesome location, convenient restaurant downstairs, and a great staff. i didn't like my corner room. It was very hard to get into. Also the tv would stop working every 15 minutes and took a while to fix everytime. Then the thermostat would reset itself to 72 every couple of hours
Was easy to get there, since it was a weekend we parked on the street without a problem and as we marked in the preferences we wanted a room with a view they gave us a a room looking at the Hudson River.
Booked through Kayak and by some stroke of luck, received a free upgrade to the Thompson Suite upon arrival. If you can, book this room - it is absolutely amazing and without a doubt the most spacious hotel room I've ever seen in New York (or any other major metro area really). The staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodating and the property itself is both charming and luxurious. HIGHLY recommend - I've stayed at both the Thompson Smyth Tribeca and the SIXTY LES (when it was under Thompson management) and this was by leaps and bounds the best. Not necessarily a downside, but be aware that the hotel is ALL the way downtown - this was perfect for my needs, but could be inconvenient if you're not familiar with NYC when booking. Additionally, the elevators were finicky and slow, although the concierge was very helpful in remedying the issue. So all in all, no substantive complaints to speak of!
Very friendly and accomodating staff. Received a complimentary glass of wine immediately upon my arrival. Nice after 10 hrs on the road. Very good vibe. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, good location. The hotel was a bit hard to find despite having a GPS. Not really, the hotels fault, I guess. The bathroom wall was made of a transluscent mosaic panel, which did not offer much privacy. Ended up doing our business with the bathroom lights off most of the time. While this may not be an issue for some, with 4 adults in the room it was definitely a bit awkward at times.
I travel quite a bit and have been in many hotels. This one is by far the best I have I stayed at. The service of the front desk as well as the willingness of everyone on staff to make your stay the best is what really stands out. It is located in a great spot and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again the next time I'm in NYC.

We were greeted by the courteous staff after entering the unique entryway. A staircase surrounded by old books, leather seats, and an inviting chess set adorn the hall adjacent to a wine bar we were glad not to miss. The gold elevators requiring a room key to access brought us to our room. The bed was so comfortable, the room had a refreshing old school/hipster vibe. It has all the amenities you would expect from a great hotel and ten times the style. The location allowed us to hop on any subway we wanted and surrounded us with several landmarks and restaurants. We'll be comparing other hotels to this one from now on. The maids were even really nice to us. We loved staying in New York and even loved sitting back with a glass of wine in our room. I didn't like leaving.

The bathroom is gorgeous, huge free standing shower and elegant tub. I loved the power blackout shades. Staff went the extra mile every time we asked. AC was out and it was just too hot. Finally they supplied fans.
Through Kayak we were fortunate to get a good deal on the price of the Andaz. It is a beautiful hotel in a good location. While it is quite south of most of the activity in Manhattan, it's an easy subway ride to the activities north of the hotel.
Nice spacious rooms, very very nice staff, very small dog friendly, very well maintained all around. Also great location to stay in nyc because it's close to the metro/buses and at night there isn't so much noise as compared to midtown or uptown. Since we went in winter there was only heat available in the room. So to cool the room I had to open a window. These windows are quite massive and if I were a drunk person or not in the right state of mind, I have no doubt someone could fall to their death. I think this is a definite safety issue the hotel should really look into. At the very least maybe put in stoppers that only allow one to crack the window and not fully open.
The staff was exceptionally helpful and nice-- I booked a room as a birthday surprise, but before I booked I wanted to see the room in person to make sure it looked as good as the pictures. I stopped by the hotel and asked a person at the front if I could go up to just see a room, and he said it was no problem and let me have a look. A lot of the pictures on this website are of the King Deluxe room, but the King Standard room still looked really nice (just a little smaller). After I booked the room, I went to check-in and told the person at the front that it was a birthday present. As a favor, she said that she would upgrade me for free, since it was for a birthday! I thought that was an extremely nice thing to do, since they had unfilled Deluxe rooms anyways. That was awesome and I really appreciated it, got to stay in the huge Deluxe room for a really cheap price! Would have been nice if we were able to make dinner reservations at Bar Seven Five, but you are only able to make breakfast/lunch reservations at Wall & Water.
Stayed at the Andaz for one night bc of the location and price. It far exceeded our expectations - the room was immaculate, roomy and nicely decorated. We also felt like we had more amenities than other hotels for the price and the staff was great. Would go back in a heartbeat!

My clean, spacious room was a "large King" that I had been upgraded into. It felt more like a studio apartment than a hotel room. I loved the free mini bar and couldn't get over how friendly and helpful the staff was. The Andaz Hotel staff has nailed charming professionalism. I tried to watch a bit of TV one night and the cable was cutting in and out. Also, I had to request more snacks and beverages vs an automatic replenishment.

We had a wonderful stay at Andaz Wall Street. The rooms were modern and clean. The staff were very friendly. The subway stop is a very convieneint walk away. Wall street was not a very convenient for us.
The bathroom was so new and the huge shower with the glass doors was pretty cool. pretty much all the furniture looked like it was purchased from Ikea. I'm over the "modern" aka cheap ikea look in hotels.

The water running in the bathroom when i shower, the water pressure was to strong when i was washing my hands that every time i had to clean around me the water splashing and the towels where not clean. It shounds ridiculous but it's really. I don't complain just to be a pain in the a.. but to help them fix those problems.
Location and price were great. Room was clean, well-appointed and functional albeit small. Elevators. 3 elevators for 44 floors is simply insufficient. I had to wait for elevators every time I went down. At check out time it took me over 15 minutes and 4 missed elevators to get downstairs. I would've walked but for my 3 large bags. I can only imagine how long the waits are when one of the elevators goes down or the hotel is particularly busy.

very polite staff great location close to a few subway lines (0.1 miles from R line) pharmacy right next to the hotel a lot of places for shopping and fast food restaurants if you occasionally need some extra clothes(e.g. elegant short) - you have TJMaxx in 5 minutes walking distance 3 elevators for 44 floors building are not enough (busy all the time) I had tiny ants on the floor in my bathroom.. other people probably will not even notice that..
The staff are lovely. It is not clean (blood stains on the sheets and hair grease in the headboard) and there is construction outside all night and eve louder in the early morning. The hotel can't control that but it is not a comfortable place to stay.
Subway was right outside the door, a lot of food places and shops near by! Not busy and in a quiet street!

I was trying to clarify why they billed me the hotel twice. Took me hours waiting on the line being redirected from one person to another ending up with the most unfriendly, not listening person ever. Very dissatisfying!

Nothing ,,,tuelly nothing in this hotel ,,,,its dirty ,old , not well located im sorry nothing i liked I had bed bugs at W downtown , i had to go to the doctor , i was red hittchy and full of spots . When i complaigned to the manager he told me i was wrong they have no bed buggs , they did a pedt control . So my doctor asked for a biopsy that came positive . Shame and they did not want to refund my 3 night this place is terrible , and i had a terrible stay .

The staff was very friendly and pleasant The pictures online were nothing like what the hotel really looks like. The lobby is ok but past that it's very seedy. It should be rated no more than two stars. Outside of the rooms, I was on the fourth floor, there's no air conditioning and it's all torn up in the hallways on the way to the elevator. The room was very basic. I would never stay here again.

The welcome was warm and helpful. I even got an upgrade! At first glance, the room looked amazing! The modern amenities and style were welcoming, but when I looked a little deeper it was hard to ignore the fact that the wear and tear of the room was taking its toll. The wood around the sink was badly warped. The sink didn't drain properly. The floor was cheap. The faux-wood laminate was warped and felt greasy under my feet.
staff was nice Not much first off tried to charge me twice for the room had to have the manager out to get it straight even with documentation the room needed some work remote didn't work had to stuff a wash cloth in the tub to stop the drain at midnight the maintenance guy wok me up to ask if the AC was working I travel for buisness 300 days a year some nicer than others I would put this one close to the bottom parking was also an issue told me they had an association with a garage a block away true but it Didn't take full size vehicles such as a suburban so I was on my own a mile or to away all in all I guess I tried to save a few $$$ wasn't what I expected
Great hotel, would definitely stay there again. Very clean, and the staff was very accommodating. No pool. Absolutely no parking. (Do not count on finding parking near by or on the streets). They told me they had a deal with the parking garage next door and when I got there they did not accept my car because "they were full" so I had to run around looking for an open parking and take a cab back to the hotel afterwards.
The best location for business trip and if you have a plan to visit liberty island. My room never have any outside light because it was surrounded by tall building and it feels like night all day.

Also the shower doesn't really close which was quite odd. Shower, cleanliness Of hotel (not room), and all of the writings they had for guests were in poor and broken English.

The general disposition of the front desk staff. Everyone was exceptionally pleasant without being condescending. The sanitation conditions of this hotel are deplorable. I found pubic hairs all over the bathroom (fixtures, floor, walls), the hardwood floor was sticky, and the walls themselves we're in very poor repair - covered in marks scratches, gashes, etc. I brought this information to the front desk and was put in a "suite" which is a room with identical conditions, but a separate kitchen space. I had one short-and-curly at eye level in my shower - which remained plainly and visibly stuck to the wall for the 4 day duration of my stay. The toilet stopped flushing on my first day. The floors are pitched and uneven, the elevator is barely functional. The corridors do not pass ADA standards. The room doors look like they were salvaged from several other buildings and don't work properly - my room door had to be pulled shut whenever I left the room. All in all I have to say this was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. I've stayed in crappy motels that weren't much better (still better) but there, I know what I was getting into and was paying an appropriate price for the level of facility. I feel that the descriptions for this hotel are misleading and deceptive, and I would never stay in this hotel again - ever.
