Pretty nice accommodations for little money. Breakfast was simple, but good. Better than a typical continental breakfast. The walls and floors were dirty. Floors in both hallways and in our rooms were very dirty / stained. Upstairs hall smelled very bad all 4 days we were there. Our bathroom had plumbing issues. Tub faucet leaked steadily. Toilet ran on it's own about every 15 min. Toilet was loose and wobbled on the floor.
Friendly staff and a reasonable breakfast each morning with lots of choices. That was a treat. dID NOT LIKE THAT THE SMOKE FROM cigartette smoke near THE BBQ pit came straight into the room and the whole room smelt of smoke. had to keep windows open. A door snake across the door would help stop this from happening.
The Mulberry Inn was a great value for a family vacation. The rooms were clean, the property was well-kept and the location was convenient. The staff was great - from the receptionists to housekeeping to the wonderful ladies at the breakfast - all were exceptionally professional and friendly & made an effort to accommodate the guests. While this hotel was not a romantic retreat or exclusive resort, it was an excellent place to stay for my family - the grounds and the pool were well-managed, the breakfast was great and the rooms were clean - and for less than any of the other neighboring hotels. We weren't expecting high-end accommodations, and we didn't get that. Instead we received a practical, clean and well-managed hotel for a great price. The biggest "issue" was the hallway of our building was a bit worn - it could've used a new carpet & maybe lighting less harsh than the cold LEDs.
Location and the staff rooms were older and it smelled liked the carpet and furniture smelled like cigarette smoke
It was very close to Ft. Eustis. It was very clean. No elevator. Had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs.
