best price in offpeak season.
upon checking in we reported the bed linen being dirty, it was noted and told it can only be tended to the next day, the next day the roomstaff still did not change it. I certainly won't stay at this hotel neither recomend it
Great location - quite close to train station. Clean hotel and had a room with a balcony overlooking Rue Jean Medicin. Friendly staff. Nothing in particular.
staff was friendly no maintenance in the evening.
The hotel was very central and most of the staff were excellent. One guy was very rude. We only had one key for a shared room.Could not access the iron in evening before dinner and the receptionist did not do his best for us to get it. he was very abrupt saying they did not have one.The hairdryer was antiquated.very old and useless.need replacing.
The location to the shopping district. I think the decor and carpeting could be updated.
the ubication was excellent, the hotel is modern and the personal was very nice
The hotel is very well located Staff at the reception could have been more helpful
Super helpful staff
the friendlyness of the staff at the reception desk The rooms were not cleaned adequately every day, sheets were not changed and soap was not restocked every day. Also, internet access was a rip off pricewise.
Very pleasant and friendly staff at the frontdesk. They provided maps and info about the city when we checked in. None.
It is a good hotel and the proximity to the rail station is its strong point. Not very far from the promenade too.
very close to the train station, quick 5-10 min walk to the beach breakfast was horrible, the room was tiny and the reception staff not overly helpful. they charge extra to secure your belongings in a safe and extra to store your luggage after checkout
The location was perfect, right around the corner of the mainshopping street. Rooms were very French romantic, though could do with some polishing. Normal price is 200 a night, via booking only 60.
proximity to train station difficult street access; lack of nearby parking
I like the garden and the exterior architecture. I appreciate that the manager made me a small discount for not having air conditioning in the last day of the sejour. The staff promised three times they will provide me parking place with no result. No one of the receptionist was able to explain me how is the wireless internet working. The breakfast is very poor for the money you pay.
Staff were friendly , very helpful & efficient. Good location with the main railway station close by - yet no noise:-) Décor of rooms and throughout hotel is very quirky . Definitely a boutique type hotel. Limited storage space in our room . Had to move furniture to open one of the wardrobe doors as our room whilst lovely & clean with nice décor was small. We didn't have a car so parking not an issue for us . Extremely limited on street parking space for those with cars.
friendly & helpfull staff. & 200m from main rail station & airport bus stop. no
Convenience to the City and the rail station. NA
No Free wifi
close to train station, reasonable price, walkable distance to many sight-seeing points... cramped washrooms...
large rooms, enough space and clean nothing
Staff very friendly and keen to help Safe area Convient to Train station (5 - 10 minute walk)
Staff helpfulness and courtesy n/a
walking distance to shopping area and beach
Great location - less than 10mins walk to main train station. Supermarkets and bakeries close by. Not that far to walk to the old town either. Tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was conveniently located next to shopping area and close to transport for the airport.
We found the staff in both the reception and 8th floor bar extremely helpful, friendly and very smiling (a characteristic not previously noted at many French Hotels). We had to make a number of reservations (other hotelsd, golf clubs, business meeting, taxis and hotels and the reception staff simply said ''leave it to us'' Upon return to the hotel everything was perfectly arranged. The 8th floor bar has a good selection of drinks. .I would definitely recommend this hotel and will personally stay there agin on my next trip to nice nice. I I had any negative comments I would say that in the 8th floor bar they could have more selection of snacks and serve them at all hours
Friendly reception staff. Excellent location
The breakfast was very good with lots of variety, it has good location, short walk from the train station and right in the middle of a shopping street. We were quite disappointed with our room, it is very old-fashioned and we had a small tv. It looks very different to the pictures they presented on the website, and for the price we paid, we expected a better room. The pool on the roof top was nice, but it was too cold to swim even with 25 degrees weather, would be better if it is heated.
the location is strategic, good set-up, excellent breakfast offer. we had pleasant stay there. definitely a serious consideration whenever we visit Nice again in the future
location; staff note that hotel at the time is being renovated; no lobby
close to train station, spacious room not in a very safe area, maybe due to the closeness to train station
clean fresh room overlooking main shopping street, friendly helpful staff. plenty to choose from for breakfast. ideal location for railway station and short walk to beach on main tram line so a little noisy early in the morning.
Perfect location, cleanliness, room size, excellent staff courtesy.
Central location Although the room was on the upper floor as is our preference there was only a small window
The front staff, she was so nice and very helpful, we were so impressed to be welcomed by her with big smile! She let us check in early without asking by us. Tiny but clean room. Bath tub was comfortable, and good powerful shower. The wall seems to be thin, I could hear speaking voice and tv sounds very clearly at midnight.
Staff very helpful and careing, location of hotel excellent for shopping and transport etc Room rather small for two people to stay confortably in, also not enough storage space for clothes ended up havin to live out of the suitcase.
At first I was given a small, rather gloomy room, but when I expressed some dissapointment, the nice lady in the reception gave me a bigger, better room. As mentioned above, all the noise outside, which, of course, is temporarily. The reception is quite small (for a Best Western hotel) and the lift claustrophobic.
It is cosy Back side of the hotel
staff friendly and spoke english good location-apart from the road works
Excellent staff, quite small but very clean rooms. The price was very good for the services offered. The hotel is 10 minutes away from the city center by foot. There is also a tram nearby, which gets you to the city center very fast.
The hotel is very close to railway and tram station, 10 min walk to central square. They give you to choice of 2 rooms, I choose one on the last floor without any view, but I have read reviews about noise from the front rooms and decided to stay on the roof room and it was bigger in size. Room was very clean and reception staff was very friendly. There was some noise from the working generator on the 5th floor during the day, but at night it was silent
hotel staff, rooms were clean, right now there is a lot of construction work for tram line laying going on in avenue massaena (excuse my french!!) . and once that is done, this hotel will be very very well connected via tram thru one of the biggest roads in nice and directly to the beach. absolutely none!
good location to shopping and tram when considering the cost there is nothing to complain about
Close to the train station for our early morning departure time.
Having the choice of a studio was good Little bit far from old part of Nice to make easy walking for an older member of group.
Very nice staff, centrally situated hotel, very good breakfast, nice room, very good price. From the airport take bus 23. (the station is at 5 minute to walk)
close to railwaystation no airco
Service by the staff Small rooms ' without air condition
Staff was very friendly, clean rooms, good location, good value for the cheap price,..
Location, cleanliness, friendly staff Breakfast should be richer
Jose, who was at the reception desk for two/three days during my stay, was exceptionally pleasant and friendly and extremely helpful. I would rate him "excellent plus". One of your evening receptionists (I'll not mention his name) was very rude and impatient and sarcastic. Another of your daytime receptionists gave me incorrect information and directions. Also, the housekeeping for my room was erratically performed and could have been better all around
Helpful staff, location close to railway station Wifi intermittent.
excellent location, clean rooms. However the rooms and the facilities are rather basic compared to the prices
Rooms were clean and air conditioned. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Ideal location in the heart of Nice. Would highly recommend this hotel. Had a great experience staying here
hotel staff is very good old smells in the room; my bed was so old that it had a big 'hole' and spine ached in the morning; even a triple room is rather small; not far away was another hotel with smaller prices and more spacious and modern rooms, so we moved there.
Good location, short walk to station and the sea. Nothing to do with this hotal but central Nice is currently (June 2007) undergoing major road works. Due to finish later this year, but then my guide book said it'd be 2004!
The location was central to shopping and dining in Nice.
The Location It Could have been Renovated
Staff was very responsive. Location very good, relatively close to shopping, Old Nice and Promenade. Overall good value for money. Rooms quite small, probably reasonable size for a two star. No blankets, pillow dirty. Pillow changed and blanket quickly provided when asked.
The room was ready for us with nice cool air and the air conditioner working. The breakfast was correct, suitable for all members of the family.
Digital access security card The bed was broken, only one pillow for the double bed, no towels, condom packet still floating in toilet bowel, Taken an extra hour to get these issues sorted.
Good for one night and near the railway station. The noise of traffic and the loose manhole cover in the road outside our room.
Super Super Super small room and bathroom.
I liked nothing, The hotel has to be deleted from the booking.com list; They don't deserve 3 stars rating, it is dirty, smelly/ The worse hotel we ever stayed in. We have been given a room with a broken window and then when we asked for another one, they gave us a room which hasn't been cleaned after the previous customers left and when I went to the reception and told them they haven't apologies, with a rude face they gave me another room saying,,,hope this will be good for you..... The room was hate and the conditioning didn't work at all, and we were there in October, not sure what people are doing there in July. After they cleaned the room they didn't even change the garbage bag, ridiculous for a 3 star hotel. Worse location. This hotel destroyed the whole look of Nice.
Convenience for railway station Blanket on bed was visibly dirty, Had to request a remote control for TV, could not obtain a plug for the wash basin, "Full english breakfast" was one cereal, a basket of raw eggs to cook your own and usual continental rolls etc. Most of these items ran out and it was difficult to get staff to replace them
the price the breakfast was same day by day, dirty in the room, very dirty in the balcony, the areea is very dangeros, the internet signal in the room is not good, was the worst hotel I have ever stayed
Price very low for this kind of hotel. Hotel clean and comfortable. Much choice for the breakfast. The promenade de Nice is at 15min by foot.
I liked best stuff of the hotel. They are very kind, can resolve all yor problems. They speak Russian and English, which also isvery importent.. They didn't clean the room every day. The shower -bath is very little.
Friendly staff It was located in an area that I would not consider safe; it would be better further south but were not made aware. Because of safety, a car park would have helped for coming back late.
Closeness to Rail and Centre of City
Please write at least 15 words Dirty tired.uncomfortable beds. Miles from the beach.Inedible breakfast disgusting outlook.
only location my air conditioner is not work, but i got only 10 euro back . It too expensive for the room without air conditioner
Nothing. I have visited 27 countries, I saw a lot of different hotels. But this hotel is the worst hotel that I have ever seen! I was afraid to take a shower, because it was ssooo dirty! it is not 30star hotel. I will not even give 1 star to it! The lamp in the toilet was blinking like at the discoteque and the staff did nothing to help us. Staff was not aatentive, not smily, they just didn't care about anything. The door of the toilet didn't close. Wallpapers were 3 cm from the walls. It is a peppergrass for 100 euro per night!!!
Location Main light switch had to be on to control bathroom/ side lights - not ideal when needing to get out during the night
Hotel offers free Wi-Fi, just need to get login from front desk. Better that 3 Euros per 20 min for computer in lobby. Hotel near the train station, so can catch Express Bus 99 to/from airport. Very close to tram stop. Obviously by being near the train station, you aren't in the best section of town. But it did not feel unsafe.
Hotel staff at the reception. Very very kind and helpfull!
The staff were not helpful, we had a no shower curtain on the bath, the room got soaked each time we showered- the shower head kept on spinning when you turn the water to a stronger flow, no bath plug so we could bath instead. When notifying the staff, they said they could not help us.
Very nice hotel, clean and calm on the good location near the train and tram station The lady on the reception desk didn`t know about the early bus number 23 to the airport so we had to to call the Nice city transportation company for the information. When we asked about the location of one Sheraton hotel where we had a dinner she didn`t know how to write the name "Sheraton".
nothing; oul no stay in this hit ever; the surrundings are ...inappropriate all
The receptionists all spoke English and were all very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed staying with them.
The staff were very willing and helpful The shower facilities were very poor. The shower tray leaked, and anyone of any size would not be able to get into it.
The hotel is cituated near the railway station wich is very convenient if you want to travel around. It is far enough from the beach, so for those interested in bathing every day I would't recommend it. The space between the washing basin and the shower is so irritatingly narrow, that it has to be registered in Guinness Records book. The breakfast is poor for that amount of money, so it's better not to take it and enjoy anice breakfast in a cafe in the city
There was a horrible noise from the neighbour room at night. I could not sleep. It took about 1 hour to switch it off after I called to reseption. A man from the reception was terribly slow! And he made me to run to the nearest bank mashine to get cash (at night!!!) because he could not manage both my Visa and American Express card when I wanted to pay for the hotel. You definitly need to learn him how to use this device.
Peaceful courtyard with parking; reasonably convenient location; reasonable price. Balcony on our "superior" room would have been really nice if the weather had been better.
The personell very kind and spoken En, fr, it
A lovely motel, and very central Room Service was very dissapointing.Lack of toilet paper and no internet in my room as was advertised on bookings. We had to sit outside to have use of the internet.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good location.
green environment Before booking you should show which floor the client will stay. When we went hotel they gave us a room in basement, a room with humidity, we insist to change and then they changed.
Staff were helpful and hotel was convenient for the railway station Breakfast was very poor for the price
the terrace at the top floor. No minibar, no refrigerator, no covers for the pillows, dirty carpets and the terrace was closed sometimes for no reason. The elevator very old and the phones in the room did not work.
We missed a train connection and were very late. As a result we tried to phone the hotel but were unable to get through because they do not answer phones after a certain time. We arrived 1.30 am to find with some relief that the hotel was still open and that our booking held.
No comment Room was small and the air conditioning was malfunctioning. The buffet breakfast was very poor value for the cost
Location Poor breakfast, small rooms
close to rail station
Our room was been cleand every day. The reception staff were really nice and helpful. no
conveniently located, close to station, very low price for a well modenrised hotel, many restaurants nearby.
The hotel staffs are very helpful, but it is too far from the beach.
very well placed for transport and car hire as next to station area next to station is a bit dodgy with sex shops and so on, also the club next door was noisy on friday night.
The bathroom was large, the room was spacious, the location was good and the rate was cheap.
it was excellent about location and clean room and good staff not bad things
Just infront of the central station, rooms are big, free internet access no free breakfast
Clean, quiet, decent location (very close to SNCF station and about a 15 minute walk from the seaside). Staff was helpful for the most part. Room was excessively dark and very red (red curtains, comforter, rug). Water pressure in bathroom was weak.
Close to central station and cafes/restaurants. Helpful management/staff. Clean room. Noisy area at night. Very basic breakfast for 6 euros though many of the nearby cafes also give similar for same price or more!
The staff was very helpful and I have no problem for answering my questions. I spent my last two night in darkness as the lights went off and I understand the reason why they cant fix it. But I asked to provide me with a batteries for a tourch light that the hotel has, but they didnt. I really disappointed.
cleanliness and location old furniture
Too noisy at night (cars, music, people talks)
freindly helpfull staff, entrance to the hotel was a cover, after the reception / dineing area the appearance was more like a hostel than a hotel
hotel staff were kind the room was a little tiny
It is a small, but nice and cozy hotel, located in a quiet street, but you can go to the train station or the Promenade Des Anglais within walking distance. The hotel staff is extremely helpful!! One more thing, don't miss its beautiful old fashioned elevator!!
Beautiful hotel on outside. Very kind staff (but they made a big mistake in the end of my stay, throwing the good impression away. They are kind, but don't know how to deal with problems and don't assume their responsabilities). Good location, but could be closer to the beach and to the restaurants street. Small and very simple room. No curtains on shower. Very old lift and didn’t work on third floor. Very hard to park. And the worst: I was authorized (more than once) to park on the places reserved to the hotel. But on the last night, another staff member assumed the car was not mine (he said) and called police to apply a fine and to take the car. I noticed on time to avoid them to take the car but not to avoid the fine. The only thing the hotel did was to say that they were “so sorry for that”. That’s not enough. I tried to contest the fine on a police station and when they called the hotel, they lied saying that I was authorized to park there just to pick up my luggage.
very close to the railway station and seaside. -
cleanliness of the room, location and friendly staff the size of the room was extremely small. the wi-fi could not use. the safe had to pay to use.
The room was quite large and very clean, the same applies to the bathroom. The a/c was easy to use. The street was very quiet and had easy access to the train station and the Promenade. The bathroom could have done with proper shower (I.E. there was no way to attach the shower head to the wall nor was there a shower curtain). I felt eur 11 was too much for the breakfast.
staff/location uncomfortable air conditioner, too small rooms
Location. Helpful staff. Quiet room. Facilities N/A
The hotel was spotlessly clean and was on a quiet, peaceful street. The air con was excellent and much appreciated. The hotel reception staff were always polite and helpful. The double bedroom was quite small with very small wardrobe and no drawers for storing clothing.
Hotel is very conveniently located near the train station. Staff were very friendly and accomodating - we were given a room immediately upon arrival from the overnight train from Paris at 9am. Some staff members were not as strong in English as others, but all were friendly and communication difficulties were entirely managable.
