Good location, quite clean. In general the hotel is good. only minor drawbacks: Wi-Fi is not free, and there is no alternative as the coverage of 3G in the hotel is rather poor (you can get it only near the window). I personally never care about breakfast, but this time it was included in the rate so I tried it, and it was not the best I could imagine - it is much better to go out for a coffee. Perhaps needs a little renovation?
Close to city center Reception attention need to improve
Parking facility not so convenient----perhaps it's common with all big city.
Excellent, central, great value and very clean.
I got a good promotion. My room was upgraded (two singles instead of one twin). The hotel is well located. I got a very good recommendation for a restaurant from the staff. The parking is not very convenient as there is no connection with the hotel. Also, I was not expecting I would have to pay for parking. This information should be available at the website. If the information was there, it should be made more visible.
It is a perfect hotel for a weekend trip. The breakfasts are famous, the heartbeat of the city is well felt in this hotel.
Location, modern design of rooms and common areas Coffee served at breakfast, there was no safety deposit box in the room, although it was advertised, shower cabin was leacking
The hotel is just off the main road, 30 seconds from the bus stop and well signed posted. The rooms are spacious and our balcony was facing the sun. Check out time was excellent 12pm Nothing
price, location, breakfast, internet would like free wifi throughout the hotel
Loved the location Breakfast was poor, coffee was bad, selection was poor
location and breakfast there isn't parking space at the hotel,it is a wrong information hotels web site .Parking is nearby but not belong the hotel.the recepsionist didn't helpfull about parking.
location the room - too small and I have been pre-charged by booking.com
location, ambiance all ok
Breakfast was poor... One guest mentioned that previously egg dishes were served. Staff was not so friendly, except one reception lady.
The best part was breakfast
An old fashion comfortable well sited place. Beautiful dining and breakfast places.
Nice room, generous breakfast, good location, beautiful decor all around the Hotel, Staff at reception could have been a bit friendlier. One would also expect staff in a Hotel of that calibre to speak English. Only 1 of them did.
one o f the best we have found bottle opener with mini bar
Location Super dated, extremely dirty carpet throughout with many old old stains. Whole hotel feels like it needed a major renovation perhaps 10 years ago. Hauntedtly empty and felt dustry throughout.
It position within the City Following a number of requests for details relating to information needed they were found to be very poor in responce to e-mail
Very attractive design, history and tradition. Excellent service, restaurant, breakfast. Good location. Price is enough high for small room.
The public spaces are grand, and my room was spacious, well furnished and comfortable, even for three adult and sophisticated who visited. Do not miss the room where the complimentary breakfast (quite complete and good, with a wonderful Maitre D') that could double as a Grand Ballroom. The staff, particularly at the Front Desk, was polite, gracious, pleasant and helpful. All this said, my experience mat be a bit skewed by the fact that, while am an American, my family is of Italian origin and spoke to the staff in Italian, but I suspect other guests had similarly good experiences. I will be returning to the hotel at the end of the week for three more nights, and expect to have another very nice experience. You will here from me again only if it is not that way. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel. On the other hand, it has been more than 15 years since I last travelled to the UK or Europe, and I was surprised, and not in a nice way, by the number of people, from all over, who believe the flip flops, shorts, and T shirts are appropriate attire in public spaces of nice hotels.
Service and comfort Breakfast was limited, and the same line up every day, with poor service. Not sure what the waiters where doing.
Beautiful hotel! The setting is romantic and luxurious. Service was adequate. Make sure you complete your transportation research before you get there. The staff was not very helpful with that part. If your airport is in Palermo, the bus only costs 8.5 euros. The staff recommended taxi, which costs appx 50 euros. Other than that, it's a must see hotel.
Cleanliness of room, complimentary water on arrival in room. Great early check in and late check out. Quiet despite location, too. No bad points for this hotel, perhaps would have been nice to have a bathrobe and one bottle of water each rather than just one.
location Noisy at night .
rather near to the centre The furniture is too 'cold' and so were the staff; not particularly helpful. They never did one step more. No hospitality demonstrated
The location near palermo's main piazza, pedestrian malls and fine restaurants made for a wonderful if short stay.
The location was good, the ratio price/quality was excelent, there was a parking of the hotel. Everything was fine.
Great hotel! In some rooms the street noise is very disturbing. Our friends stayed in rooms 107 and 108: great! We stayed in suite 414: lousy windows, so a lot of noise, really, a lot!
Good location with a free garage. Our room was located on the road side and it was very noisy at night (the room is renovated but not the windows..).
Really nice staff! The rooms are nice and comfy. Breakfast is not really diverse but it taste good and was fine
Location and parking facilities were good. Good breakfast. Very nice and modern room + bathroom. Most of Palermo toerist visiting points within walking range. Staff helpful and speak good English. Good value for money.
Our room included a small balcony featuring a fantastic view of the downtown area, Mount Peligrino, and a peek of the Port. Mossimo very kindly produced a platter of ham, vegetables and fruit for us one evening when my daughter and husband were feeling ill and weren't up to going out to eat. In our 3-person suite, the TV in the 3rd person's room was not working; the shower doors were crooked and couldn't be adequately lined up and only one shower head was working. Also, my daughter felt the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and not what she was expecting.
Convenient situation and position on quiet attractive square very welcome in such a busy, noisy city. No drawers or shelves for clothes. Room rather cramped.
central location in palermo, helpful staff eager to arrange practical parking in not too easy palermo we took a non-standard room (could have been sub standard in size or in inward location in the building, and was both). In my opinion as a construction engineer the room was essentially a fire trap, as the only window was half-person sized, and iron-barred.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was well-located for touring the city. Our room was without a window to the outside.
Reasonably high standards and located in the citycentre close to main amenities. Palermo is a beautiful city that deserves a weekend. Hotel accessible 24/7.
The room was quite nice, with good air-condition. Hotel located in a quiet street, but close to main street and in nice walking distance to restaurants etc. Free Wi-Fi that worked well.
Very big and clean room with massive balcony
Very handy to walk to sights in Palermo and restaurants in the evening.
The hotel is excellent and in a prime location
Location We were early in the season so lot not yet open, e.g. roof bar
Location, Breakfast, Comfort We had a problem with the air conditioning. We had to keep asking them to turn it down in our room - which they can control - however every morning it was back up to 26c. Also if your room is located on the ground floor the noise from the street is atrocious- I know this is a large city, however no attemps to mask the noise were made. This is not a 5 star, at best it is a 3 - 4 star hotel
exceptionally good service (including handling a complicated change of booking); superb health/beauty centre; large and comfortable room; delicious breakfast; great location (close to airport bus and range of restaurants, bars, cafes) - all round one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
Friendly and helpful staff, great location, very good facilities.
The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Central location; comfortable rooms
The staff was exceptionally helpful. When we ran into a problem with our atm card some days after we checked out, the staff went far out of their way to help make facilities available to help us sort out the problem. I would never choose a different hotel in Palermo. It'll always be the gh Wagner.
Location Street outside a bit noisy
very well situated in central Palermo; helpful staff; worthy of 5 stars.
The attention I received
Situation, very central Staff, the hotel is very old and it needs some reforms.
Very helpful front office staff, very central
Location is very good, close to the city center and to the main bus stop,on other hand it's very peacefull and calm.
center of the town comfort food staff
The biggest or rather the only plus of this hotel is the localisation. So, if this is important for you this choice is very good. Standard is poor, however, the renovated part looks better.
Excellent selection at breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff Decor a bit gloomy and air conditioning not very effective
The hotel is in a good location but incredibly noisy at all hours of the day and night- the view out our bedroom window on the first floor were 7 garbage dumpsters which were busy at all hours. It is just a few blocks from the airporter bus and various restaurants if the staff will let you know which ones you can get a discount at? I have numerous issues with this hotel but will just list a few: the hotel is extremely noisy even during various hours of the night with traffic and garbage pickup and dropoff. There are no English speaking TV stations (CNN or BBC) even though this is a capital city hotel. The hotel bathroom amenities are only given once during your stay so bring your own toilet paper or soap! The hotel's idea of a suite is quite different than the rest of the worlds. The hotel lift is only to floors 2 and above so if you are on the first floor (second floor really) you must drag your luggage up stairs.Breakfast is very average.
The staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The recently renovated hotel was lovely in an "old world" style with high ceilings. The location in the old town was perfect for walking everywhere, and was situated next to restaurants & shops. The room was large with a nice bathroom and two balconies. Highly recommended. There was nothing not to like.
The location was good. The elevator was helpful and excellent breakfast and breakfast staff. The best care we had, were the arrangements for taxi service for an early morning flight. The receptionist was well on time, curteous and provided excellent service. Our room was a little dreary but somewhat comfortable. The shower curtain was dirty in the bathroom and kept sticking to us as we were showering. Wearrived and our room had not been cleaned, but the staff very promptly took care of it. The receptionists seemed overly busy and business like. They could have been friendlier and makd us feel more welcome. But I would recommend the Hotel for its location, breakfast, etc.
Excellent situation. Good breakfast. The single room was dark and the bed was very small. Room is expensive for what it offers.
It was very private and peaceful. The price was different to the price quoted by Bookings.Com, I had to pay 10 Euro per day more than the Bookings.Com price! ?
The hotel is sited in a good part of town, close to the Opera House, public transport to the railway station, Mondello, and Monreale. The level of lighting in the bedroom was low.
central position good breakfast bedroom to basic no english tv channel
We are a family of three, and about the only thing we liked was the central location. Dislikes: 1) The access elevator. The hotel is on the fourth and fifth floors and to reach it with a stroller/luggage/etc, it was a trying experience. The elevators are very slow (10-15 minute wait several times) and hold two people max. 2) Parking. The parking was on the backside of the hotel, but to reach it was very difficult and would have been impossible without a GPS (I tried). Also, it was in a very, very old, dimly lit, underground gagage--and cost 20 Euro. Not good. 3) The bed and the view. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (and I am in the military, used to sleeping in uncomfortable places), and our view was of an overflowing dumpster. All in all, not worth the money.
The staff and all the help they offered. The limited parking.
Bad speak english
The hotel staff were very helpful and spoke english. The decor and cleanliness of the room and bathroom was excellent and the breakfast was good.
Friendly staff, nice decor, good clean facilities in the room. Was not too clear which floor it was on when we first arrived, started climbing the stairs instead of taking the lift to fifth floor!!
The location was excellent and the staff very helpful.
I choose this hotel because it offered a shuttle service to the airport, which was excellent. The hotel was hard to find and the registration is on the 5th floor,
Fantastic location in Palermo, friendly and very helpful staff - especially Salvo, the manager. The receptionist gave us a great restaurant recommendation too and advice for seeing the sights. The room had character and overall great value for money. We booked and paid for a parking space in advance, which was definitely great idea because you need nerves of steel to drive in Palermo. However, it should have been indicated to us that the entrance to the underground car park is accessed from one-way street behind the hotel. But once we arrived the hotel staff were brilliant with helping us park the car. The breakfast could have been more substantial.
The staff were very helpful.
The staff were very helpful. They parked our car for us and also got us for us at the end of our stay.
// The room was small and with one small window. The food selection for breakfast is too poor for a 4star hotel and the space was insufficient.
Excellent hotel, especially for 60 Euros a night. Room wasn't huge, but it was very comfortable, the hotel looked very good and was near to main shopping area
What impressed me most is that all of the staff are very gentle and professional. Also, rooms and facilities are nicely done, clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend Artemisia to my friends.
Great position A little noisy
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms were also very nice.
Great location, very tidy nicely maintained - a bit pricey at Euro 135 a night but we did book late. Staff great, very helpful - shower had a leek and when we asked to have it looked at it was repaired (absolutely properly) immediately within the hour. Couldn't fault the service. If you don't like city noise you might not like the location of the hotlel but we quite enjoyed the buzz. however if you don't like city noise don't come to Palermo full stop!!
The hotel is in a central location which is great, but it is quite basic and the webpage desciption makes it sound a little better than it really is. That said, it was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is on the 10th floor of a building that also contains other hotels. When you approach the building as a tourist, it isn't clear that you need to press the floor 10 buzzer. It might be worht puttign that on the website just so that people are aware. The on-street parking was not as straightforward as the website makes out - it's a little more expensive than the website says (perhaps it's just a little out-of-date) and you have to ensure that you park on the correct side of the road otherwise your car could get towed! There is a car park down the road too.
The location. The view. The employes at the hotel The breakfast was ok, but not stunning
The owener was nice and friendly as well as the view was good. The controller of air conditioning was out of battery, so we cannot trun it on.
Very close to the historical areas. Loved the top floor breakfast room and the view of the city! Two elevators, easy to get to the top floor!
We had a very good room, which was located at the top of the hotel building, we could climb over the window on the roof and see all the city and the sea.
Panoramic view, friendly staff.
Very friendly management and staff. Excellent position on 10th floor making it comparatively quiet and with panoramic views over the city. Good bus links to the city centre.
Friendly staff, excellent city view. Nothing.
location small room, very small shower stall
the elevator was too much noise not allowing sleep peacefully
Perfect location: a lot of good restaurants and bars within a walking distance and the main shopping street just round the corner. Friendly and helpfull staff. Comfy pillows and matress.
Really enjoyed staying here, great staff, friendly and good recommendations for meals, etc. Comfy and large room. Would be nice to have a power bar for charging multiple cell phones, cameras, etc. We only had one power outlet in our room.
Very nice hotel, we got an upgrade for free!
The location of the hotel is excellent especially for the airport bus. The breakfast choice was the best of our week's stay in Sicily (3 hotels) The air conditioning was terrible in this hotel. There was a choice between sweating and freezing. Luckily had only booked one night in the hotel as slept really badly. Had to get up a number of times to turn the AC off and later to turn it on.
Close to where you need to be in Palermo, nice and clean and good wifi.... No parking despite promises, no bar either...well there was but no barman....weird! Pictures shown only reasonably accurate...wouldn't be coming back here.
They upgraded us to a Suite and we were very much impressed with the jacuzzi, the huge bed and the own terasse with two sun beds. Breakfast was generous as well. Reception staff were helpful and kind. Although location was not very central, it was not far either. One more bonus point was that there seemed to be a police station/guard post right on the street level of the hotel which made us feel extremely safe.
The friendliness,cosiness,vicinity,helpfulness,design Nothing
We liked the very kind and helpful hotel receptionists The breakfast organisation was poor, but this is a complaint!
nothing except the breakfast. no service. stuff is unfriendly. noisy. WIFI for 10 euro a day !!!
The room was really small, and basically available only after 8.30pm! There were as well no parking available, I wouldn't suggest this hotel...
