Hospitality of hoel staff At 29 euros per person, breakfast is quite expensive.
The rooms are great as are the staff.
Overal was good. Room service selection was limited in choices. I Bar only have French Menue and no English. No English Channel on TV only CNN. Mentioned above
The location is just fantastic - the hotel is located in 2 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, with nice shops and restaurants all around! Hotel staff is nice. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety, a bit expensive though (31 euros per person, free for kids). Free internet in room (luxury room). Variety of tv channels was very poor.
airconditioning was not very effective despite my changing the room.
The Sofitel Hotel is well located and within walking distance of the Champ Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe as well as the Charles De Gaulle Metro. This allows for good connectivitey. There are also some good inexpensive eateries nearby. We mentioned that we were coming on the Honeymoon in our notes but we were treated as if I was the Sole occupier of the room. The Honeymoon touch was missing a bit especially since we read about another review who were treated specially for theri honeymoon.
Atendimento da recepção e concierge. Housekeepers should make less noise and be more gentle when closing the room doors. They should start working after nine o´clock and attend the customers requirements more acurately. Matress is too softy and unconfotable and unable to provide a good sleeping.
Severly understaffed and any service requested takes quite a while. Rooms were not cleaned on on time, until we requested specifically to clean them in the evening. Turndown service was done on 1 day of 4. Used glasses from the minibar were not replaced for 3 days. Waited 1 hour for check-in after arriving at 4pm on a Friday. etc.
This is a very nice hotel at a distinctive location location in Paris. The staff are so helpful, I was helped by a professional concierge team who spoke excellent English and know Paris attractions very well. The staff was polite, food was good, and the facilities are all clean and up to date.
we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the lovely room.the location was outstanding and staff very helpfull our shower screen was off the rollers but it didn't cause us any grief
Hotel very near Chapms Eleysee, shops and restaurants. Prices in bar very very expensive. Breakfast very expensive at 28 euro each.Had breakfast outside hotel at 1/4 of the price.
Hotel stuffs, and concierge were very kindly. Also, room and bath was very clean. Location was nice.
The proximity to all the central areas of Paris and also it was very quite and a very beautiful hotel. The breakfast was very expensive and not worth the money.
the fast service in the hotel was great , the location was excllent , the breakfast was bad no food varaities .
Our stay at the Hotel Balzac was wonderful. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and attended to our every need.Great location too!
Courteous, professional staff. Central location.Comfortable plush rooms. No tea/coffee making facilities or indeed mini-bar in the room which is surprising giving the standard of the hotel.
Rooms too small, expected larger as per booking info
Breakfast buffet Internet conexion should be included in the price of the room as many hotels do
location only need some renovation for the rooms furniture was too old
In general everything was very good. The room was a very nice and a very good size for Paris. I paid €160 for the night which was very good value for a hotel of this standard in this location. My bed had a dip in the middle
Location is superb. Near to all fascilities and amneties Being along the main road, its somewhat noisy
Location and decor Rooms quite small
The ambience, the friendly staff and the proximity to city attractions
Our room spacious, very comfortable. we were close to metro - shopping - it was a great location and a great place to stay - we would stay there again!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was amazing the view from our balcony was superb excellent stay overall would have liked if breakfast was included in the rate
Location and the comfort of the suite. Clean linen, well thought interior. Charming decor Nothing other than the smell of cigarette smoke in the suite. Cigarette butts were found on the carpet on second day after housekeeping.
Location of Napoleon Paris is excellent. We stayed in the superior room and its size is really big. It is great value of money.
Location was approperiate for my business meetings around the city. Poor value for money. Absolutely not a 4 star Paris standards. Extremely small room. Unheated bathroom. Aminities were not regularly refreshed. Decor of reception and public areas is basic and rundown.
The staff was so friendly & the hotel location was ideal we had so much fun there I'm going to stay there next visit to paris
the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, the employees were very nice and proffisional, and the location was just excellent as Vernet St. was located by champs elysee and george VI road. Hotel Lobby was small and the internet connection was very low.
Friendly and helpful staff and nice room WIFI at our room was a bit weak. Main elevator was not working and everyone had to use staff elevator instead, which is a bit small.
I booked this hotel because it was listed on the leading small hotels of the world. This recommendation has not failed me. I have traveled to paris and the rest of europe to know that the standards are different than four plus hotels in the usa. The hotel vernet did have good sized rooms and our room had a balcony which is great. The bedding was excellent. The staff was excellent, including front desk personel, the concierge was fabulous, as well as the bellman, bartenders, and wait staff in the dining room. All the employees addressed me by name after the first day. That shows how much they put themselves out. Lights in the bathroom were not adequate for shaving or applying makeup. Pillows were foam which we don't like. Should be feather pillows.
from the moment we set foot in hotel there was nothing that the staff couldn't do for us..very helpful and courteous.really made my stay in Paris something to remember for a while..loved the personalized welcome letter .
The location is excellent as it is behind Champs Elysees but yet very quiet. The staff, especially the concierge is very helpful and they all speak excellent English. The walls between the rooms are a little thin. I could hear footsteps and voices from the other room when it was occupied.
location poor advice from concierge
The friendliness of the staff, the service and the centrality of the hotel. Thank you. It was a pity that the restaurant was closed.
Small, quaint, quiet. The rooms need updating.
Excellent location, very stylish hotel, hospitable friendly staff, excellent rate, great experience, would go there again
The location and the service by all staff.
Very central location, staff very friendly and helpful, fantastic selection for breakfast would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. No restaurant or bar but there was room service
Location, clean rooms, free, wireless internet and the friendly staff. Very small rooms, small Lift, and bad coffee glasses( the glass snaps off the metal holder when hot, as it expands faster than the holder, and you will have coffee spilled all over the place, including your clothes). The lobby is small for a ***** hotel.
Quiet street just next to the crowded street of the Champs Elysees. The room was great and the Internet for included in the rate.
Everything was horrible and very expencive
good services, modern room, good location room is too small for the price charged
location good and accessible, rooms are very small and felt uncomfortable, due to this reason we changed to another hotel,
Location The smallest room I ever had for 240 euros. I could touch the 4 walls from the bed. Poor views to an inside patio that was still under construction. And the hotel seemed to be empty.
value for money - excellent location
central location, near attractions room is vey small, poorly furnished for 4 star hotel we reserved two twin beds, however the room had two small single beds!!! the air condion was very worm although it is may, i wonder how it will be in july. the front door is locked at night!!!! because of the lack of staff!!! you have to ring the bell and wait for some time before some body open the door. i asked for one thing, electrical adaptor, which they did not have!!!!
The breakfast was better than expected with a lavish variety of cheeses quite unique to other Parisian hotels. Hotel feels run down.
The hotel is very poorly maintened.
it is near the shooping nice hotel put the room was not what i want and show it to me befor
an old hotel i guess slightly renovated. its very very well placed 25 meter from champs-elysee. Good bad, nice bathroom. Internet is extra. no complaints
location, central, near champs elysee small room, some noise, staff not always too professional
Location and convenience - everything worked as it should. Helpfull staff The whole hotel is bit dated and needs refresh - it is definitelly not buzzing place but very good for decent sleepover in the centre of town. There was a leak through the ceiling in the reception area and they were just capturing the water in vase - and based on the dated stain on the carpet this is their practice for quite some time. Elevators, furniture are all beaten and scratched - time to give it all a bit of a refresh...
Close to where my meetings were being held. Excellent broadband wireless coverage, meant that I was able to work effectively. Rooms was very comfortable. The biggest draw back was the strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways in the morning.
its a nice and freindly hotel
People that work at the hotel were friendly quality and price
The hotel was beautiful, spa terrific, and the indoor/outdoor aspect of the Lobby restaurant was lovely for enjoying a spate of mild fall weather. Service is top-notch. The rooms are functionally terrific - huge for Paris standards. Bathrooms are drool-worthy marble palaces. Concierge staff knowledgeable and super helpful. Unless you are strolling the Champs for luxury boutiques one can find in any large city or having business meetings in the western arrondissements, the location isn't great. This can be easily overcome with Uber or taxis, but I would have preferred a more central location like Ritz/Crillon (both closed for renovation), or Le Meurice (I'm supporting the boycott). The design of the bedrooms errs more on the Asian side of Asia-French fusion, while I would have preferred something more distinctively Parisian, but this is a very minor gripe. If I were traveling for business, the serenity/calmness would normally be a plus.
Location, secure car parking, friendliness of staff. Price of breakfast
Location, smallness, Asked 4 ice two nights in a row with no results. Airconditiong virtually non-existant(of course it is europe).REALLY Suprised this is a chateau relais property.
We know the hotel well - have stayed there many times, and it maintains its standard and is as good as ever.
I liked the location and the room i thought the staff were quite unfriendly
The location The food was not up to standard
The hotel lies in a very good position. The rooms are quiet and spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. for that price I would have appreciated something more, like a welcome drink or a basket of fruit at our arrival. My idea of a relais chateau is that you pay a little more but you get a little more, like we had to leave very early in the morning and it was not possible to have a cup of coffee!
location is perfect, center of the city but quiet surrounding, rooms are beautiful and clean, staff is helpful, no regrets
Staff is very friendly and helpfull.Lokatoin is great.Good restorant. We liked every thing! Will return back for sure!
Everything was perfect other than a small room which I think applied to most parisien hotels I thank all of the staff for the good attentive service The room was little bit warm I think the ac was not working but that was fine
Breakfast can be improved. Coffee is good though.
All staff at hotel were very attentive, Hotel recently reopened after refurbishing, rooms large, clean and well equipped, pool was wonderful after being out the whole day walking. Hotel was well positioned for sightseeing.
Perfect, clean and big room (Large Deluxe Room). The hotel is only 2 y.o. Perfect location!!! Breakfast doesn't included. The pool is closed 12-16 August.
Location is good, but not central, convenient for West Paris / Champs Elysées / Guy Savoy Restaurant / Palais des Congrès. Worth a shot if you can get a cheap room; we paid €130. Not worth a lot more than that. Staff indifferent at best; sound proofing non-existent; bathroom door gaping; overall condition pretty poor; cleanliness random.
Near center. 5-7min walk distance from Ark Triumph. But district is quiet. 1) No bar or restaurant in hotel. 2) Room is no so big, but it is normal for Paris.
hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful lift was tiny
the location is very good the room is too narrow,,,,, changing towels shöuld be improved
Location was very good, close to metro station (ternes) and walking distance to city centre I did not like the fact that room advertisment said twin room when in fact it had only one double bed. very misleading.
Although our stay at Best Western Empire Elysees (BWEE) was short, we thought the staff were very freindly and co-operative and spoke excellent English. The room we stayed in (although small) was very clean and comfortable. The choice of food to eat at breakfast time was more than ample with a very good choice of hot and cold food, with plenty to drink. The location is ideal for people wanting to stay in the centre of Paris, just a short walk away from the Arc De Triumph! Overall, we enjoyed our stay at BWEE. The one thing that we noticed was the lack of enough tea & coffee supplied in the room as complimentary, there was only 1 tea-bag and 2 portions of milk. with 4 sachets of coffee (not enough milk for the coffee)
I would like to recommend this hotel to my friends
Yes No Internet
The location was convenient to both the airport buses and metro. For those who like to walk, it was a walkable distance to St Germain, and close the the Champs-Elysees, Eiffel tower, and other sites. The location felt less touristy. away from noisy streets, and there were sufficient restaurants and markets nearby. I also liked the free wireless in the room; this was an important factor when I considered alternatives. Bathtub seal was faulty and always leaked water on to the floor after a shower despite our best efforts to prevent this.
the receptionists spoke English! the price, uncomfortable lumpy bed, unhygenic shower, no kettle in room
The SPA center.
Really a lovely stay! Hotel staff were very friendly and hotel facilities were really very good Just a couple of matters:
It was great, we're going back! Problems with the enter cards of our room
Superb location, especially for those who like shopping very expensive prices for mini bar, room service and restaurants
It is a very fine hotel, but ........ It was an unpleasant stay with loud construction adjacent to room 312 from 0630 am for about 11 hours/day. It was impossible to rest during the day. Euro 445 was an outrageous rate to charge for this room
perfect location, perfect service, perfect ambiente, 100 % clean unfortunatelly there are two construction sites to the left and to the right of the building - the works start at 6am, from 9am they start drilling, all the guests complain, we stayed for 3 nights and got one for free, the buildings will not be finished before 2012
The superior room size was exceptional compared to the usual Paris matchboxes. The location just off the Champs Elysees was also very convenient. The first night there was only a smoking room available, which was not too bad, but the non-smoking one was much better
accesability to sights etc. we thought that the room was quite dark
Location. good facilities, helpful staff room furniture require update.
good location bad room
The fact that the hotel was close to where we wanted it to be The fact that the maids continued to interrupt me when i placed the do not disturb sign on the outside of the door.
Location Check in time, it has to be changed!
Location is excellent for tourism Carpet, bedding, drapes, etc. are a bit dated, but room size is excellent for Paris, location, and money
Would definitely recommend this hotel - great location, just beside the Arc de Triomphe, 2mins walk to Metro, lovely big room and bathroom (we stayed in the superior room), very comfortable, reasonably priced for a 4star hotel in this great location.
Excellent localization Room very small. Few interest of the reception in finding a taxi to the airport
