Staff were excellent, room was lovely, ensuite facilities in particular were excellent. Bed very comfortable, very well laundered, room services excellent. Good value for money, reasonably close to Metro. Carpet in bedroom was stained in several places. Hot breakfast (bacon and eggs) ran out very early (eg before 8:00am) and was not replenished before nine. We stayed there only three nights and missed out on a hot breakfast twice, although there was plenty of cold continental breakfast throughout, which served us fine. Nothing else I could complain about, the rooms were great.
Pleasant staff, good breakfast, helpful staff TV small, unstable signal and lack of English TV. CNN is not by preferred English channel. Room had leaks in the bathroom which seemed to be related to the piping. Hotel did not seem overly concerned about this.
The site was well located. The room was not well kept and not clean.
nothing to say The following did not work - Air conditioning, WI FI did not work - no support from staff except one girl at reception. it was certainly not the rating it was supposed to be - it made our stay in Paris no so good.
big room, nice bathroom far, not easy to find, one small window was uncovered, so the room was sunny too early
Cleanliness,bathroom No fridge
the description of location is not correct. the distance to metro by walk is further than the discription
The cleanliness of the room was excellent. This may seem like an obvious requirement for a hotel, but it isn't often the case in France. Well done on this point. The furniture and fittings were also of very high standard, and the hotel seems to have been recently refurbished. The room and bathroom were quite spacious and the air condition worked perfectly. There were some extras which I liked, such as free copies of the daily newspapers in the lobby, and the fact that the whole hotel is non-smoking. In a word, other hotels would do well to look at the Best Western Bercy Rive Gauche as an example to follow. The price was very fair compared to other French hotels. However, I still think that French hotels are too expensive. I must emphasise that this is not a complaint about Best Western hotels, but about all French hotels.
Price, it was close to the train. The lift did not work for the majority of the trip, the fact a double room was to single beds pushed together, and the lighting in the room was poor.
convenience to my office lacks creature comforts: you must ask and pick up from reception a tray of tea/instant coffee if you want; there is no room service; breakfast was an extremely basic continental - very disappointing; smokers are allowed to crowd around the front door and it's very unpleasant to walk this gauntlet; the reception area is very very hot.
good too far from center
Nothing Everything, bad service ,very bad service
The cable internet is free and the room is clear. the swimming poor is there. all the single room are with no bath tub. Unless we upgrade the room or more than 2 people stay there, we cannot use the bath tub.
Close to metro. Dinner in La Butte aux cailles area 10 minutes walking. We woulöd recommend this hotel for sure.
Easy to get to No
The staff had no clue about the neighbourhood.
I chose this hotel as it had a car-park, but it was out of order - I had to spend up to 30 minutes driving around the local area to find street parking
the location and staff were excellent, however the shower was rather schizophrenic and went from cold to hot consistently.
very friendly, clean and modern; good swimming-pool
This hotel shouldn't be in the 4 stars class. It is just a good 3 stars one.Cet hôtel ne mérite pas un classement 4 étoiles. C'est juste un bon hôtel 3 étoiles.
nice clean room! near to lots of restaurants.. and easy to get to main attractions.. no parking, and hard to find it!
I did not enjoy anything. Room are very small and the pictures on the website do not reflect reallity. Outdated rooms, minimal equipment, small and old bathrooms, no WiFi.
It is quite handy for Place d'Italie metro and in an area that has sufficient cafes and bars ready to hand. Area is generally quiet and I got a good night's sleep, unlike the two night's I had in Montmartre. Didn't have time to check out bereakfast or the rest of the hotel facilities. I had a ground floor room, which was functional but a little dark. I suspect they are not the hotel's best rooms, but as a single traveller staying one night I wouldn't expect to get one of those.
Nice interior. Friendly personal in the reception. Nice fairly simple hotel. Good value for its price. Not so generous breakfast. Somewhat stained wall to wall carpeting in rooms. Beds too firm. Street noicy at night, rooms toward the yard nice and quite.
location was good, close to the metro we had the room next to the lift and especially the Saturday night it seemed to run all night and was too noisy for us.
Very good value.. Nice rooms -- clean and modern. - wifi did not work in the rooms. Location is a little off [although this has some advantage Breakfast was a little expensive [and I might add the buffet was not clean. I saw a nig fly and that cut my appetite - I would not recommend having breakfast here.]
Excellent location, service, comfort ... everything was excellent Everything was excellent
city location is very nice (Butte de Caille) blutch on carpet
Location was nice and quiet with many restaurants in the area. Bedroom was shabby, old fitted stained carpet and broken cupboard door. telephone ancient, bot convinced alarm system worked. Upstairs in total contrast to nice, modern, airy, entrance hall.
The location is an excellent experience for seeing some of the real Paris instead of the tourist traps. The hotel is on a backstreet strip of local restaurants and bars that were lively, great food and good value for money. Hotel staff were very helpful and breakfast is good. We stayed there based on price and location. The price was only just ok but when we got to our rooms, we wondered why we didn't spend more money. The rooms are old, dumpy and tiny. I spent the same money in Montparnasse last year and had another tiny room, but it was a new renovation and very comfortable (Hotel Rive Gauch Chaplain)
Friendly English speaking staff - made it easy to communicate and when my phone was misplaced which eventually was delivered back by cab driver the people at reception were very available for any assistance - great stay - limited breakfast, bit far from my work center but overall absolutely no complaints
The room was well presented clean and a good size although the shower room was on the small side. It was excellent value for money The only negative was that the shower room was quite small.
We visited Paris with our baby daughter. The staff prepared a babycot in the room and all was waiting perfectly arranged. We even received a bigger room than booked so a big THANK YOU for the staff. Room was clean and well arranged. The location is perfect for those planning sightseeing; it is very close to the Metro and all locations can easily be reached. Breakfast was OK, in the dining room there was even a babychair. Before choosing a hotel we read many reviews and decided to take this one. This hotel was a perfect choice and if coming again to Paris we would like to stay there again.
The room and bathroom
In a very quiet area of Paris, close to several Metro stations. Excellent location for meeting and sharing with the natives very high cost of internet services. Our next hotel, in Madrid, charged 1/4 the cost for the same amount of time.
Lovely large modern room in good condition. Adequate breakfast but not lavish. The bathroom needs redecorating and painting.
Silence Lack of free of charge WiFi internet access
Room was too small with a child.
Friendly staff, spacious room.Very clean.
Good connection to the city centre. Hotel stuff were polite and helpfull.
Nice and good hotel. The transportation and shopping are very convenient.
Nice clean rooms, lovely helpful staff. Great location near metro and lots of nice little restaurants. Its also in a really nice, pretty and fairly quiet area. Staff had great english. no
clean rooms staff doesnt speak English well. I have ordered taxi 8:55 and receptionst called him to come at 8:30, I had to pay 22Eur for 1km drive just because he waited for me half hour. I realized when it was too late to react. When I complained at hotel manager, they didnt want to refund money, even not to call taxi services to complain.
great value for the price (at a discounted rate), convenient location of the hotel
Great location, fresh food market every Sunday morning in front of the hotel.
clean, close to metro station, good breakfast the room was a little bit to small
great location, very quiet, very pleasant staff
Great location. Real pris and not touristy but still in a good area surrounded by restaurants, cafes, metro stops, bakeries etc. Huge Sunday food market outside running the length of the street. We were surpised when saw it because we didn't hear any noise from inside the hotel that morning whilst they were setting up. The hotel room prices would have been expensive if we did not get the deal.
The surrounding has many nice restaurants The price of the room (Euro 200,- per night) was quite expensive during this week as there was a large car exhibition in Paris.
The breakfast with good coffee and fresh orange juice Cold room, not enough blankets
Close to the station RER C, Metro line 14. Very frendly staff. Good breakfast.
The location was very close to the place of my business meeting so it was very good for me. The price included a reasonable breakfast (cold buffet). Breakfast includes a machine that deliver freshly squized orange juice - great! The table in the room was extremely small. About 40 by 40 centimeters. If you put your laptop on this "table" there is no place for the mouse...very inconvenient to do any kind of work on such a table. I asked to replace the room but they told me all the rooms have this kind of tables.
kind staff, good location, clean room, nice breakfast room a bit small, view not-worth-mentioning, absence of mini-bar
The hotel was clean and very close to the train station..... They didn't speak english .......
Very small rooms (but this is Paris); no lobby or cafeteria; price is too expensive for what it offers but if you manage to get a special offer, it's worth it.
Staff were pleasant, helpful and very tolerant of my attempts to speak french! Noise of traffic outside and waterproof sheet on bed!!
Free wifi in room and helpful reception staff who were patient with my French language skills. There were lots of choice for restaurants nearby, Good area, and very close to a Metro stop. I thought it was rather overpriced, but maybe that's Paris for you.
Staff were friendly, the hotel clean and comfortable, in a very easy central location. Main reason we chose it was that it had a room available at short notice in high season
The hotel was well placed for getting around Paris. The rooms were rather small.
Good location for good price No parking space
Well situated. I got a smoking room and eventually all my clothes were smelling bad.
location to underground
Friendly, unobtrusive staff who actually seemed pleased to see you! Plastic undersheet on bed! Being polite, we didn't say anything about it though.
Central to Metro and easy reach of centres of interest Disappointing bathroom with bath and not proper separate shower, and leaking plug not allowing basin to hold water for washibng or shaving.
It was a good comfortable room ans relatively cheap. My room was ready only at 3pm, and I arrived tired from a long trip. had to wait 3 hours...They told me was an accident that usual does not happen...
Nice, comfortable bed, room was small but cozy. Bathroom was clean with wooden floor, jacuzzi was working (so did in other rooms ;-), ideal for relaxing after walking the whole day.
The staff were excellent and very helpful. The internet access was high speed. Its very close to the RER C and Metro train station and right next door is an awesome 24hour burger place. The internet connection dropped out regularly. The room I was in was next to the elevator and you could hear all the commotion of people getting in and out of the elevator throughout the day and night. On the last day I was there, they had some builders in making a very loud racket in the morning whilst I was sleeping.
shower vs. tub.
we love the rose put on our desk on 2.14. the people are very nice and helpful. even helped us to find a 24hour-open phamarcy in paris^^
The hotel receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. The standard of the the room was excellent for the price we paid, it was alot better than we were expecting. The room was a bit warm, and if you opened the windows the traffic was noisy
Good value for money and ideal for a couple.
The staff is very helpfull and welcoming. Although space is a little tight compared to what most Americans would be used to, the room had nice amenities - sound-proofed windows, in-room safe and a very nice bathroom.
friendly helpful staff, nice room - spacious for Paris, conveniently situated wrt public transport, shopping (Bercy village), movies (MK2 Bibliotheque - best cinema in town on sundays croissant are gone quickly and service is limited (due to personnel restrictions). But globally the breakfast is generous
Price. Helpful Staff. Breakfast was good. Parking available. Had to move rooms in the middle of the stay because of a leak.
Good location, pretty good breakfast, decent price and quiet rooms with AC. The basics are all good.
Very convenience for Metro, good location. One thing I like the best is free computer network
Close to metro Palace'd Italia, shopping mall and restaurants, good value for money. Tidy and comfortable room. Good internet connection. Good luggage depositing service. The shower in the washing room is higher than the room floor, so the water is very easy to drain the carpet. I have to put tower near the door to absorb the water. There is also no hair dryer in the room, we have to borrow the hair dryer at reception and return it back.
Excellent location, hotel staff and cleanliness of the rooms Breakfast too expensive and small bedrooms
The location: really close to a metro station, cleanliness of the room, nice staff. The breakfast is good (buffet), free internet access.
Cheap hotel ,clean, friendly staff. Realllyyyy smallll rooommmm but if your a tourist juat need a place to shower and sleep it is a good hotel for you. A lot of bums near metro asking for $$$
It's clean, comfortable, close to public transport, plenty of places to eat. I felt safe as a solo female traveler. I didn't like the ridiculous pricing for the internet use. Thankfully, there's a library a block away (next to KFC) which provide internet for free. The room is small and doesn't have a lot of space for clothing. I only stayed for 1 night with 1 small luggage, so it wasn't a problem for me. But it might if you stay longer.
its location; hospitality and simplicity lift operation, one has to swipe card many times to get the lift working
The luggage keeping protected space, the very big and comfortable bed once in the room, the sound isolation which makes the room calm to go back in comparison with wild Paris and the free services such as Internet and powerful hair dryer. I must also mention availability and friendliness of the staff, would it be late at night or early in the morning. No negative points to declare. That was functional, comfortable and clean.
Excellent quality of rooms for a food price, at an outstanding location. Quiet and convenient.
Cleanliness and friendliness of staff No bath towels; Very small rooms
good location to chinatown
Close located to Notre Dame Too Limited in parking spaces
Location was good. Room was clean, with basic facilities. Good to stay when traveling. The room was too small and cold. I went there before but the rooms I got were much bigger. I guess this time I had bad luck.
The hotel room was clean and they changed the towels every day despite it is a 2* hotel. Tall or overweighted persons could face small issue (as for the most of hotels in Paris): the toilet seat was positioned in a niche that was a little bit narrow.
close to mestro station and not far from Orly airport that i had to get flight to Rome
Near Metro station and busstops We were given incorrect directions to the hotel - it said choose either Italie or Tolbiac Metro stop but is is past the Tolbiac stop so when we got off at the Italie stop it was a very long walk dragging luggage. In the very small room there was only one threadbare towel per person! Very minimalist breakfast.
very near the subway. the room is clean. no hair dryer in the bathroom. should provide free W-LAN.
Very clean No tea/coffee making facilities in room Very small for a double room Breakfast at 05:30 was not available (early flight meant this was a criteria)
close to china town and subway station. the rooms are small and no hair dryer.
The room was cosi and adequate- Mony point of view-
It's really nice for the staff. I arrived at the hotel in the morning and get the room immediately although before 12 am, the check-in time.
The double room was not worth the money. I would get a better room with a good shower room in ETAP, Accor & IBIS for much less money.
Good location, near tube syation for ease of trvel atoms paris. I didn't sleep well due to tegic outside but my husband and son did.
Location is close to metro station and the room had much space The smell of the room, the worn out matras of the bed, the inssuficient heating, the water in the lavabo in the bathroom, the electricity that fell out
Room was suitable for a city break.
The excellent service provided by staff and the existing facilities in the room.
It was near the metro station!!!Just perfect for one who wants to visit Paris!!
Very good access to Metro. Super market (Monoprix) is near by. There was not enough hot water to take a shower for 2 people.
the little kitchen in the room was very useful The receptionists didn't speak english good enough
It was very clean and the decor was modern and very good for the money. Was also easy to get about Paris fro the metro station down the road. no
Hotel staff was very helpfull, they all spoke English. Metro station was really nearby. Location of the hotel is excellent, I liked Butte aux Cailles very much! The room was comfortable and clean, but blankets were pretty old and looked used for 1000 times. There was no refridgerator in the room.
helpful staff, very charming rooms needs to be renovated
Free TV, Good Air Condition, Comfortable Bed, Clean Bath, Calm neighbourhood, easy metro access. The walls are so thin so you can hear the voice of people speaking in the next room and their TV sound. There is only one small elevator with capacity of three person, it is pretty busy in the morning, It tooks 10 min to find the elevator free to carrying your lugages in breakfast time.
Excellent value for money and a brilliant location for central Paris Noise was an issue, we could hear the people in the next room talking "word for word"; hear them shower or hear their tv when it was on. Didn't spend much time at the hotel so this wasn't a major problem for us.
Nice location, minutes from the Butte aux Cailles, and its restaurants. Not far from subway stations. Very quiet. Expensive breakfast (10 euros). I did not have it.
great location so close to the metro stop, great value for the money, staff behind the desk very friendly and helpful (spoke english), clean room and bathroom. walls were very thin, we were woken up in the morning by the people in the next room (though all they were doing was talking normally) and the maids in the hallway
It was clean, in a nice location, and was reasonably priced Both the sink and shower drains were partially clogged, and drained very slowly. The staff was pleasant, but not particularly friendly. And the parking cost 20€, not 15 as stated on the web site. When I asked at the front desk about this, they said they had nothing to do with the parking, which was run by a separate company.
The view (room 608) over the nearby buildings/city was excellent/beautiful. Extra shelfs in the room (608) next to the wardrope. More hangers in the bathroom to put soap/shampoo. It can't be that expensive to put these up. Then there is a lot of noise when people walk through doors in the corridor. Try to damp the doors and make them not slam into lock. Put up signs asking/urging to be quite after 10pm or so. Otherwise it was a good experience. :-)
The staff of the hotel was very kind and very friendly. Even the reception boy tried to speak our native language - Bulgarian.
Bedroom and associated facilities. Convenient location. Quality of breakfast was fairly poor.
