Good location No tea or coffee making facilities, no cafe or bar. It was impossible to get a cup of hot water for a lemsip at the hotel. Rooms were quiet cold, under floor heating in bathroom did not work. Had to request extra blankets.
Close to juesh comunity A bit noisy
Very friendly and helpful front of house staff who also spoke very good English. Hotel ideally situated for visiting all attractions. Spacious room and bathroom. Room smelled of stale cigarette smoke (smoking is permitted). Pillows very flat and only one per bed.
The hotel staff was excellent. They were very friendly and professional. The location was great within walking distance of all downtown sites. Everything was good.
The location was excellent, near to everywhere but not too noisy The hotel room smelt of cigarette smoke, even though it was a no smoking room. The Hard Rock Cafe below the hotel were advertising a beverage in lights on front of the hotel, which every 30 seconds or so went across the window. Tnis was only on Saturday night and didnt effect my friends sleep, only mine
very central only very small roof window
The location was very good and breakfast just perfect! The only thing that I was dissatisfied over was that I got a room with a window in the roof.
The location of the hotel
Hotell staff was really friendly and helped a lot with any question we had Shower was not easy to use
The location of the hotel is great. No wireless internet in rooms
small and central
The location was great and the whole style of the hotel inside and out was fantastic. The staff were friendly and very helpful i will definitley return to the Iron Gate on my next trip to Prague. Nothing
Central location, comfortable room. Had to change room after first - had requested double, and it was really twin. Also lot of noise from street. Second room was fine.
The position of the hotel is very good and affords easy access to restaurants and sites. Yes. The breakfast was not inviting and the service was indifferent.
large, airy room. asked for a twin ( 2 ladies) but upgraded free to a suite which had a double bed. however. hotel immediately made up the bed settee for me so in effect we had a bedroom each. staff- nothing too much trouble the bath. it was huge but also you needed a wide stretch to climb into it. it would have been impossible for some people to use and there wasnt a separate shower so no alternative bathing facilities. also there needed to be a handle on the wall as climbing out of the bath was a leap of faith with nothing to hold on to
The location /cleanliness & service were excellent as was the buffet breakfast. The staff were also very helpful with local knowledge.
very nice hotel in the center of Prague. Very nice interior terrasse.Highly recommended
Excellent location in the heart of the old town. Our suite had a separate living room, comfortable furniture, excellent internet connection. Breakfasts had a great selection of items. Staff were unfailingly friendly.
The staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. The room was spacious and beautiful. I love the frescoes! The location is perfect - just steps from the Old Town square.
Comfortable,good location and Luxury hotel!
Superb location right in the center. We were so lucky to be upgraded to a two floor spacious room that was really great. Breakfast with champagne and good variety. Friendly staff.
The service was very god, and i was very quiet in the evening. It was in the absolut towncenter. The breakfast was very good.
POlite staff. Tasteful decor. Good breakfast.
We've spent 12 days in Europe, starting in Prague and ending in Vienna. The Ventana was the best hotel we stayed at, even better than a Relais & Chateau hotel we stayed in. And it was reasonably priced for this quality. Highly recommended.
The location is very good. Rate locale as a 9 out of 10. Overall, this property is a 3 star at best, but with a great location. No access to coffee in the morning until after 7:00 am. $15 surcharge for room service which was very limited. Breakfast only.
Location, room/view and comfort
sillence and later chek out
The hotel is in a perfect location for sightseeing, eating and shopping. banks nearby, good range of restaurants nearby. Staff helpful and friendly. Bar and Library tasteful, comfortable and relaxing. Buffet breakfast outstanding, food constantly replenished, coffee appears like magic, dirty crockery likewise. Rooms spacious and very well appointed. Rooms would benefit from provision of hair dryer and trouser press.
Absolutely top class location next to the Old Town Square and all the attractions. Really spacious modern style suite with mezzanine floor and a big arched window looking onto the square, room 45. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Will definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends. Buffet style breakfast was very good, but could be improved with a better selection of cooked breakfast
Good location Large rooms, friendly and helpful staff could have have larger breakfast selection, eg omlettes/sausages/eggs
Location was great, friendly staff, and comfy big room that met my very high standards of cleanliness. Coffee was also great at breakfast. No elevator - although this didn't bother us too much.
The room was very spacious. The location is wonderful - walking distance from everything. No air conditioning - but a fan was provided. Since we had to leave our windows open at night, it was rather noisy.
Excelent localization. Just few steps from main square. A little bit noisy.
the best think is this location, and using the wood in design, but the problem that it had a small windows the location
The hotel is in a brilliant location for all of the attractions of Prague and is great value for money. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. The hotel is located in a great area. We were warned that there is no lift and the stairs are very steep. You must be in good shape to stay at this hotel. The trip up the stairs 2 or 3 times a day was tough.
the staff i pretty helpful. the location is extreamly great - best possible for Prague city tour there where obvious problem with bed in the room - they repair it every day on my request instead of just change it forever
I just came back from a 5 day vacation. The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of all the activities. I loved hearing the bell chimes and the signal given every hour from the Old Town Tower to the Charles Bridge Tower ... The room I stayed in was on the 1st floor (room21) it was big, spacious, clean, warm and cozy. The staff at reception were extremely helpful and always with a smile. Overall would highly recommend it and definitely would stay there again. The only things I can think of is the thin and a bit small towels which really didn't bother me much as they were still good enough plus I have to mention that the bathroom was really warm. And the other thing is breakfast ... which was on the simple side but nevertheless good enough to start the day (and I am not big on breakfast so it did not bother me and coffee was really good!
Brilliant location, the reception staff were very friendly and very helpful, we had a superior double room with extra bed and the room was very spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel Walls and ceilings are very thin and you could hear every word said in the room above, but that did not spoil the stay
excellent location no lift
Location was wonderful. View from the room great. Reception people and restaurant staff of the highest level. Doormen pushed a livery service instead of calling standard taxis. The livery service was at a higher cost.
We had an absolutely fantastic view from our river view room - the castle was much closer than it appeared in the website photos. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was open for four hours at breakfast, giving us plenty of flexibility, and the range and quality of food was excellent. The shower over the bath was OK, but a walk-in cubicle would have been better. Staff appeared at the room every evening with chocolates and a weather forecast - a nice touch but I would have preferred it if they didn't let themselves in while I was in the bathroom. I'm sure they would have respected the do not disturb sign but I never think to use it in the evening.
good staff. Very bad management.
The breakfasts were great! Plus the view of the river was nice Eating in the bar because restaurant was not available
The facilites, the staff, the location, and every aspect of the President Hotel was beyond expectations. A great experience!
we were very satısfıed.
The hotel room was excellent - I don't know if we had an upgraded room but the view of the castle at night was wonderful. The staff need to know that a smile works wonders.
I had a wonderful stay. If I have to go back or recommend a hotel in Prague, I would recommend this hotel. It was very quiet, clean and luxury. The breakfast buffet was very convenient. great and outstanding hotel! There was nothing that I did not like of this hotel.
size of the room, location. breakfast a bit poor
This hotel is facing the Vitava River and one block from main shopping and close to old town square. The rooms were spacious and the staff were excellent. Free Wi-fi in rooms and lovely buffet breakfast.
Location Unless you are a part of a Japanese or other Tour group, you don't count. Poor breakfast buffet. Bathroom extremely small.
Excellent location and spacious rooms. Breakfast was poor for star rating, limited choice, bread was dry, fruit offered past its best and juices nothing more than weak squashes.
The hotel staff were so helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself was within walking distance of many sightseeing locations. Although the selection of food was very good, the breakfast was bordering on cold most days.
Breakfast was very nice and we had a lot every morning.(they made us fat!) There's a nice restaurant on the ground floor and the waiters there were very helpful. I asked the hotel transportation to the airport to the night shift clerk. but it was not successful....but the morning shift clerk asked another transportation immediately. The service depends on the clerk??
So near everything!!! Couldn't be more central No lounge bar to sit in the evening
Good service. There were some problems with the plumbing in the room we first got, but when we complained we immediately got another room. Quiet surroundings in spite of the very central location. The breakfast buffet was not so exciting...
how quick everything was dealt with - check-in/out. and very good food.
Excellent location, clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly staff
The staff were so helpful and kind. There are two resturants on the first floor. Everyone spoke english. Our room was for 5 and it was huge! Beautiful door the size of a wall divided the two rooms. The furniture was a liitle dull, but the Erin was clean, warm and comfortable.
Being in the Centre amongst all the cafe`s and shops was very nice.Staff very helpful and friendly The reception area doesn't do the hotel justice. It is confusing with the concert tickets being sold in the same area. The lift is very same and does look like it could do with redecorating. I thought these things let the hotel down.
The hotel is located close to all the most important places to see in Prague. Souvenirs shops are just on the corner of the hotel. Not really nice smell from the bathroom.
the location of the hotel was excellent the staff were very helpfull and friendley and the room was very clean and comfortable with clean towels every day we would not hesitate to book this hotel for any future visits to prague.
We loved this hotel! It is in an ideal location, right in the heart of the Old Town but away from the main busy parts. We stayed in one of the attic rooms which was large, warm and had beautiful views of the Tyn Church. We could easily walk to all the main sights and there are countless good bars and restaurants nearby - so many we were spoilt for choice! This is definately where we'll stay if we visit Prague again. Although the window was double glazed, there was quite a bit of noise. The area is fairly quiet so no rowdiness - just noise from dustbin men etc!
Friendly professional knowledgeable staff and the location was excellent The decor in the room we had was just a little tired - but the room itself was huge, it was comfortable and warm but just a little noisy at night.
The location was excellent, the restaurant was supurb and beautiful with loads of atmosphere. The staff was very helpful in our hotel stay and visiting praha. Bravo. Initially we were given a attic room that was small, airless and almost windowless. We requested a change and was given a tour and a choice of 3 rooms, we found the perfect one for us.
The location was ideal and the rooms were beautiful and spacious and the staff were very helpful.
Lovley large Suite,2 Large beds,2 Setties, 2 Chandliers! always very warm, light and bright, Bathroom massive.Breakfast substantial Just off Old Town Square and Powder Tower and just up the lane to supermarkets. The woman in Reception could have smiled once would have been nice always in a mood! Breakfast in restraunt Verbena opersite reception 2 floors down in basment no lift ok if you are fit!!. Room overlooked church very nice but also overlooked club on corner of lane closed about 3.30 in early hours then people outside till 4.00 o'clock every single day plus last day glass shop under room locked up and left loud beat music on all night!!!
Very Pleasent. We shall be returning
location rude front desk, hard to find.
Excellent location overlooking fairytale castle (sorry Tyn church), a couple of minutes walk from Old Twn square. Spacious, comfortable bedroom decorated in traditional style. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Helpful staff. Would definately recommend. Very good value.
Perfekt location, The breakfast was not good.
The style of the hotel, the loaction and the desk help - all excellent Some nights noise from revellers in the square - not your fault, nothing you can do about that.
Location was excellent, staff friendly and helpful
The location was excellent, very central and within easy walking distance to all attactions.
The view from our bedroom window was magical. The hotel is right on the old town square which appeared to be the most beautiful place in Prague. At night it was lit up like fairyland. And yet our room was quiet. The bed was very comfortable; above was an interestingly painted ceiling. Some of the staff were particularly friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast contained lots of choice of quality food to suit all tastes. We were attracted to this hotel because of it's price, but it has so much more than that to recommend it. We felt very grateful because of the wonderful location, and the quality of our (simple) accomodation. (Booking.com also provided a very helpful service when I had to ring them.)
What a nice hotel. Staff (Jaroslav) was super friendly. Restaurant is really great. Try the Apple Strudel;) really unique experience. Location and the view was the best! I will come back;) None really;)
Perfect location for a few days in Prague. Nice to have breakfast included. Large rooms. Maybe too noisy at night for families with children.
The hotel has an _excellent_ location at about 50 meters from the famous clock. We did everything on foot because everything was within a 30-45 min range from this hotel. Breakfast was good, free internet, public computer in the lobby, kind staff which was service oriented (they booked opera tickets and discussed good seats etc) While we had only 28-31 degrees celcius, the room was too hot, the airco as noisy (not really loud but still) as it was was not able to cool the room down. The curtains could not darken the room. This was a major disadvantage for me. I felt the cleaning did not do a good job on the bathroom (did they clean? The bin was not emptied)
Cerna Liska oozes character and has the most amazing view of the Old Town Square of Prague. It couldn't be more central for all the sight, but was suprisingly quiet at night. Nothing.
location was perfect.Having had my purse stolen I found Linda on reception extremely helpful nothing
1. Location! Right on the Old Town Square, next to the Nickolai church, which hosts classical concerts almost every night 2. Charm - rooms are variable in size but all have decorated ceilings with wood beams - great for calm before sleep! 3. Restaurant - excellent food at a reasonable price. 4. Extremely helpful (English-speaking!) staff.
Staff were friendly, food was excellent although portions were a little small. Room was a decent size. No air conditioning control in the room. Meal portions were a little small but of excellent quality.
Wonderful location. Quiet. Good breakfast. Extremely helpful (Eva) receptionist. Back outdoor eating area needs major improvement. Not a good place to eat.
well this was a nice place to stay very central but rather quiet, close to the river and the spa was great, staff were very helpfull, all in all this place was a 10 in my books.
i liked the breakfast, especially the orange juice, itwas nice and sweet, and the spa next door was awesome, came out feelin new again after a long train ride into prauge
Location for seeing the sights was wonderful. trams were nearby to go to the castle if you didn't want to walk. restaurants/cafes were down the street. no lobby to sit around and "visit" /wait for cab etc.
Nicely maintained, helpful and courteous staff, good location, awesome architecture.
The efforts from de staff to speak english. Wireless all over the building couldn't control de AC

Located near all attractions. Very friendly Staff, Good Breadfast ! Maintenance was poor.
i liked the peace and quiet, and the rooms were nicely decorated, the breakfast was good and location and very centralgood service and helpfull staff
The location. It was convenient to most of the attractions and shopping. The staff was helpful, cheerful and friendly. The room was spacious and had a good view of the front outside the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful. Everything worked. Unlike some previous commentaters, I did not have an issue with the change of bath towels every day. We don't do it at home, why would we expect it at any hotel. We were very happy with our accommodations and the location. I guess one could nit pick but we were very comfortable and slept well. The free WiFi was greatly appreciated also.
spacey room, very well located, efficient hotel internet service is costly and not user friendly
Close to the city centre & shopping
The hotel is in the best location, i could walk to most of the attraction and resterants in five minutes. Yes the price of friut plate was very expensive.
Is a very good hotel, luxury, clean and nice location with nice breaktfast
Location excepcional and facility to access importants points of the city Concierge should be better and the parking area in front of the hotel shoud be more organized.
Great hotel! Superb location, super value for money. I was warmly welcomed in the hotel by friendly staff and during my stay they were always very helpful!
The hotel's location is ideal for sightseeing, very close to the "Altstädter Ring", only about a 10 minute's walk. Staff was very nice. The breakfast was very basic.
it is not a 4 star.
Situation is great, only some minutes walking to Old Town Square.Nice staff, a large and clean room with a bath.
Very center of the city. Good breackfast. Nice view to the center of the city from my studiou room. Kitchen very useful. Everything OK.
Perfect location to get out and about.
It was a good shock to find out the location of the hotel is truly right in the middle of the famous Karlova street right between the Charles Bridge and Old Town. Extremely cosy apartments also proved the promised top notch quality but what really made us speechless was astonishing view from the apartment's windows! Tiles of the roofs, old towers and Prague's main castle - it's all was there and it was unbelievably great! Room service was prefect also. highly recommended! Everything was just perfect and flawless!
The hotel staff was more than helpful. They were considerate and accomodative to all our requests. The room sizes were large and very spacious. Everything we needed was provided on request if not already there. The elavator is a bit creepy and we were lost when we entered the building since the reception is on the 1st floor and there were no signs to direct us there. But both these points did not interfere with our wonderful stay there.
the location was great, and the design of the apartment was intresting. cable intrenet was kind of disadventage
