rooms were very nice, food plenty of choice, nothing was to much trouble for staff. thoght we were staying at the umbia beach, and we had a room in the dunes complex, which was a very long walk to pool and restaurant. 3 flights of stairs (lift if wanted), a very long walkway that connected the different hotels. fitness and spa centre not operational at this hotel, although it stated on your website it was. Needed to use the sister hotel about 20minute walk away
I actualy didnt like anything.... it was full of kids and families, not what it did say in the web page....it was awefull....I regret it.... everything
Thought the breakfast was unbelievable, very good. Nothing
Nice & biggest hotel, good location, not far from the city center (~ 20 min walk). Perfect for stayng with famaly & children. Beach is excelent!!!! Ocean is beautiful!!! Hotel has biggest free parking for guest. Free internet only in lobby bar and reception (wifi). Across the street is a "commercial centr". Personal only on reception can speak english. If you don't speak spanish - your way must be "communicate with hands".
Fantastic hotel in great location close to beautiful beaches. Very stylish, comfortable and well equipped room with every facility needed. Excellent buffet breakfast but busy due to size of resort. Would recommend booking half board at least here as choice of other restaurants within walking distance limited.
As we have 2 children aged 10 and 12 we found the Barcelo Punto Umbria Beach Resort an ideal place to stay. Rooms were lovely, great swimming pool, although april a little chilly still kids went in. We had breakfast included which had suited everyones taste, Buffet dinner was also very nice. We were very happy with our stay and will definately be returning for a longer stay. nada
Nice architecture, good facilities and close to the beach. Bath room was very smelly, although 2 times complained at front desk
The SpaSaturday evenings entertainment - miming acts Decor of the communal areas - very drab - needed updating
Clsoe to the beach smoking rooms when they are suppose to be non-smoking
the position on the ocean
Its location i
Hotel with good standard and efficient staff, nicely situated on the beach. Not very busy during our stay, so all amenities and entertainment were available at all times and rather undersubscribed; pool entirely to ourselves. Breakfast and dinner buffet with good choice and of reasonable quality. Room for 2 adults+2 children rather small (seaviews nice, though) and sofabed not really adequate for several nights even for children.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice (although we don't recommend rooms near 154 because of the disco below). We had a sea view quadruple room and for a family with two kids it was good. Really nice installations, good access to beach. Beautiful beaches (and not packed) and surroundings. All in all an excellent experience. We had half-board and they let you decide whether you want to have lunch or dinner, daily and wihtout prior notice. I didn't like the fact that they charge you 3 euros a night for the safe or some extras, like for example 10 euros for the gym. Also, take your own sun umbrella since on the beach you get ripped off for them at 10 euros an hour!!!
Hotel services and facilities are excellent. Nightly entertainment for young and old. A real family getaway for relaxation. Coffee/tea kettle in the room and wine glasses and wine opener would be nice in every room
The location Car Park & Leisure Charging. Key staff were below expectation of English speaking
We liked the friendly staff and the location. Unfortunatley it was too dark in the hallways, some of the elevators didn't work, no air conditioning. The breakfast could be improved by having a better quality jam considering that strawberries are grown in Huelva. The eggs were cold and there was no pepper. The sitting area in the lobby could definately use an upgrade.
The hotel is ight on the beautyfull beach. The Food was good. There was indoor pool exept for the Spa. The entrance fee for the spa was terribly overpriced and if you left it for lunch you had to pay if you wented to enter again even that it was on the same day. Most disturbing however was for me that there was no free wireless and an hour was charged with 6,5 Euros.
very good pool, nice staff,,near to beach lovely area to visit display bar prices
I organise a veterans football team and we have stayed here before. This time 16 of us were accomodated at the Pato and it is ideal for us. Rooms are fine , pool is great and the staff are very good the breakfast is really poor. this year it was worse than previous years. However we will return here again next year but probably take breakfast down the road
central, modern. no fuss.
Cleanliness. No tea/coffee making facilities. This may be the custom in Spain but since hotels are supposed to cater for visitors from other cultures they should consider the requirements of these visitors.
Very central location and helpful staff. Room comfortable. Although very clean, decoration in room was old and damaged in places. Also walls were thin.
The hotel looks very inviting, all new and modern, it is also extremely clean and the staff seemed very pleasant and helpful. Room was impecable and no unwanted noise was heard during the whole stay, all very quiet and pleasant. I just found it hard to find the hotel by car, they should be more indications around Huleva or specified on website.
The best shower and a comfortable bed. The hotel looks like it has been refurbished recently. Very close to train and bus station as well as town centre
This is a very pleasant hotel in a convenient location - walking distance to train and bus stations. Had difficulty getting wifi to work.
Very big and confortable room. Best location inside Huelva.
Good hotel! only bad thing was that sounds from the hallway could be heard clearly
The one small lift that was working Restuarant was sterile; one lift broke; no bar; no parking - a nightmare! size of room (triple); no tea/coffee facility; lousy TV signal and then only Sky News; forgot bedding for third person (sofa bed); price; view.
Clean, good location (city centre), many TV stations including RTP international, enough WC 'equipment'. Good relation price/quality When I arrived I was given a room near some loud machines. I protested and they changed the room. Yet, there is a poor soundproofing system between rooms. Lost's of noise from corridors. Poor breakfast choice.
The room was clean, quiet, perfect location for our needs, staff were very polite and helpful, secured our luggage for several hours between checkout our time to go to the airport. Despite the language difference, the staff was very patient with us & seemed genuinely interested in helping us at all times. This hotel is located on a street with several outdoor cafes/bars/restaurants which were lively & fun.
The hotel is set in the heart of Huelva giving easy access to all areas including all the shops, bars and cafes. A1 location and all the staff were very helpful and pleasant. We were very dissapointed that on our last night the hotel had hired its function rooms to a political party for an election party that went on until the early hours. We had a 6am start the next day and did not get much sleep!!!! please, in future inform guests when making reservations as this was a big negative after many, many posotives.
The rooms had been recently renewed (in fact one floor was under renovation) and they were great. Great construction and quality. I stayed in August during the week and the value for money was great. And the location is perfect. The only bad thing was parking. Because it is in the center of the city, either pay 10€ to have your car in the park or park on the street that has parking meters.
Reception and garaging staff very efficient Room cleanliness and comfort was good Bathroom layout and size very poor Some street noise at front of building
A central city location, modern and has great facilities. Staff speak good English.
Standard NH features, for example the internet free of charge, toiletries... It was rather far from the railway station, I expected the hotel to be nearer according to the website info.
Location is very good and close to the center. Easy access to the port area. The price of the room was quite expensive. Same type of the room would be sold through another site at the same days. it was quite surprise to me.
Right in the middle of the city so did not need to drive On check out only one member of staff on the desk, consequently it took a long time to check out
Very clean , very nice room , quiet location , good for city centre and railway station. Not Applicable
english local papers (free) cracked bathroom sink, black mould on the bathroom walls, dirty bedside table
5 mins walk to beach and port
Basic cheap accomodation.
The man at the reception desk was very helpful with tips on eateries in the town and around the beach. The breakfast was not so varied and the atmosphere was dull.
Quick free wireless Internet The restaurant was not good at all, though the waiter was excellent. Small parking.
I actually stayed at the Pato Amarillo. It is in an excellent location and very comfortable. The beach is literally less than 5 minutes away on foot and there are loads of forest paths within 10 minutes. I really loved Punta Umbria and its accessibility to Huelva, Sevilla and the Donana Park.
breakfast and wifi included n/a
Basic accommodation which was clean, tidy and good value for money. Also found the garage parking convenient. The substantial roadworks which made access difficult (not the hotel's fault and should only be temporary)
Near city centre. Parking is a big issue in this city so the hotel car park, although expensive, was important. Bathroom was good, bed was firm which is good for me. My room, opposite lift on first floor, was noisy. Spoke to management about it and it improved a lot.
The room was spacious and the staff was very nice.
Location is incredible, bathroom is big. You're staying here because of location, cleanliness, and moderate comfort. Room was tiny, enough for a small twin bed and a small entry way. The Bathroom was about 75% the size of the room.
Super value for excellent rooms, clean friendly, wifi, good breakfast included in room price.Evening meals also available with menu del dia at €9. Garage on site for parking at reasonable rates also.highly recommended.Perfect location in city.
simple and effective. Very good having the free wifi. no
I relly enjoyed the enviroment and the comfort of the room. not really
Pleasant staff. Clean and well decorated accommodation. Restaurant provided excellent quality food which was very reasonably priced. Very friendly waiter service. No.
Easily accessible from the street.Taxis could drop off and pick up outside the front door. The room was a very good size with good views (we were on 7th floor) and very quiet as we were not overlooking the street.
Atmosphere, good service Hard to find
Hacienda feeling Internet connection is available, but terrible. (Some kind of weird satellite internet connection.)
It is a lovely hotel, very quiet with ample parking facilities and a free spa where you don't have to wear a bonnet! The views are superb, except for the one factory in the distance. The patio, the rooms, the restaurants are cosy and spacious. You can't but relax. The breakfast buffet spread is ample, good quality and fresh. If we ever go back to Huelva, this is where we'll stay. One problem (not so important because there was still a nice jacuzzi): the Turkish sauna wasn't functioning when we arrived and still hadn't been mended when we left 15 days later.
Service was very good particularly the afternoon/evening waitress who was very efficient and friendly. Very peaceful and relaxed which was what we needed. Reasonable disabled access. Lack of outdoor seating.
The room was vey nice and the atmosphere was fantastic for a romantic weekend Nothing to complain
Quiet & Peaceful The Spa was not working, one reason we went to the hotel. No menu´s in restaurant, although the food was very good.
The worst breakfast ever! All kind of bugs in the room! No internet connection in the room.
good out of town location, easy to find, parking easy, beautiful property WiFi was awful and barely connected for a second or two at a time
Luxurious, wonderful spa
eventhough it was far away from the city it was very clean and comfortable hotel. You definetely need a car to stay in this hotel. It is outside the town, there was not any restaurant near the hotel, city was 10 min. away by car
Activities for the kids and swimming pools are good. The buffet restaurant was good and varied. Even if the complex is very recent its construction was poorly done in some parts.
Great food and profesional staff, nice viev from terrace, ery big and cousy room
All the staff was the best. the quality versus price was quite right. I will return next week for more 10 days !
The location of the hotel as well as the view are great. The rooms are very big and impecably tidy! The staff are very friendly and you can always find something to do at the hotel. The pool areas are fantastic. The food could very a bit more, although the breakfast buffet was great. Minor problem: some cracks in the walls.
Everything was good, no complaints at all,Beautiful views over the sea by the swimming pools We asked for a sea view and did not get one.Service at snackbar and bar really slow .No cigarette machine, nearest place to buy some just over 1km.
peace and quiet
Beautiful views over the sea, lovely swimming pools
Food was fantastic and plentyful, easy serving. There were three excellent pools. Cost of use of spa.
modern clean hotel and the food variety and quaility was excellant
Our room was very comfortable and the view from the extremely large balcony was great. Apart from the bar area, which was always very full, there was no comfortable lounge area for quiet reading. The few sofass in the reception area were always occupied.
