Nothing Smoking and dirty rooms Every restaurant had a wait
Front Desk lady provided Smoking floor but didn't disclose it to us when we checked in. We found out from a guest in the elevator. My daughter and I couldn't sleep the entire night. We inhaled lots of 2nd hand smokes in our lungs. Complaints to Front Desk manager and she said there's no guarantee the guests will get non smoking room, even we have a child in our room. This is ridiculous!
The whole place N/A
Noise rooms can hear people upstairs and either side late @ night 4am Manger wouldn't stop the noise
Large casino, lots of places to eat and things to do. Can literally stay there and not leave for anything. Lots of slot machines, tables. Wasn't very clean, room smelled like smoke even though non smoking room. There was hair in the shower and bathroom that was not ours. The room was just generally rundown.
When I called the front desk to request checking out at 1pm, she said $20 extra charge plus tax and repeated for a few times emotionless. Most time this hotel's rate per night is about $20.
Nothing Terrible customer service, oversold hotel, we were left looking for a different hotel at midnight with our 3 kids!
The rooms were good. The bathroom sink did not drain well. We have almost 800.00 of charges that are not ours. Luggage was misplaced by bell desk. Will not stay their again. Staff is too busy to help.
Had an amazing dinner at the Cantina restaurant. I'd go back to the hotel just to go there for dinner. The food and the service there was fantastic and was the thing that kept my stay from being a total disappointment. I learned that hotel casino resorts aren't for me. I was put into one of their renovated rooms and it wasn't very clean. There was dirt on the floor and a couple of toenail clippings under the desk. The renovation was ugly. The bathroom with it's floor to ceiling brown marble and black vanity and very poor lighting was like being in a cave. Not all the lamps in my room worked. Why would a "resort" hotel renovate the rooms and put the same old lumpy bed back in there? The first night I was there the heat in my room didn't work. However, it was fixed rather quickly. If you're traveling with a family and looking for a place to stay where there is a lot of stuff in one location and you feel like letting your kids run around and act like animals while you sit in front of a slot machine getting drunk then I suppose this is the place to be. If you enjoy a hotel where there are drunk people smoking in the hallways at 8 a.m., kids running around and screaming in the public areas and having to wait in line for 45 minutes just to check out then this is the place for you. There are other hotels in the area that are cleaner and less expensive
Clean rooms, restaurant staff nice, nice arcade and bowling alley. Missing safe, missing refrigerator, missing blow dryer in the room. Claimed that Nevada state fire code does not allow rollaway in a room with 2 beds and there is no mention of this when booking. I can't find this mentioned anywhere in any code online, so it seems like a BS reason. The square footage was certainly big enough to accommodate it.
Staff went above and beyond making sure needs were meant. Always grateful with great customer service. Trash cans in room could have a paper bag or plastic in order to properly dispose of any trash accumulated in room.
I reserved 2 beds in each of the 2 rooms I booked weeks in advance and booked through the hotel to make sure I got what I requested. I even asked for a higher floor and paid extra for it. They told me they were sold out and that's all they had left although there was a line of people before and after me getting rooms... That didn't make since. This was my 4 time staying there and was really disappointed in the experience
Nice, clean rooms, fast check-in, complimentary champagne while waiting to check-in, good restaurants. Machines were tight, not paying out enough to keep me interested.
Staff was above and beyond helpful and friendly.
Everything was great, good hotel, excellant location. Should be a mini fridge in every room I had a small ice chest with that I always bring on vacations so I just kept refilling with hotel ice machine to keep my food cold.
Good customer service. Room comfortable. The bathrooms need to be updated. Pool wasn't available, was under construction. No notification about it.
The rooms No buffet
Front desk was awesome, very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in needed vacuuming.
Location was convenient. The Silver Legacy, the El Dorado, and Circus Circus are joined so you can walk between without going to street level. Lots of selection for food. Friends who booked directly with the hotel were upgraded while those who didn't were not. My bed was firm as a rock on the peasant levels of the tower and my shoulder is still hurting from sleeping on the bed. My entire room could fit inside the bathroom of the other travelers. The room didn't have a fridge and was mediocre for the price.
Free airport shuttle, speedy early check in with no hassle. Decent pool and hot tub. Easy access to casino, restaurants and salon. Terrible nachos from pool bar. Clogged tub. Remote control needed new batteries. And they charged an overnight resort fee despite that I didn't stay the night.
While the hotel was otherwise pleasant... I had about $3,000 worth of belongings stolen from my car during daylight hours. When filing a report with hotel security, it became clear that their job was not to assist me but to protect the hotel, as the first words out of each of their mouths were, "The hotel isn't liable for your stuff." Security also refused to show or provide me the security video from the parking lot, although supposedly shared with the police. A shame they can't keep their own parking lot secure.
A large variety of restaurants to choose from. Connected to surrounding casinos.
I have to wait for one hour while my room need to be cleaned first, it was already about 7 PM when I checked-in. Good thing I was travelling with friends and can stay at their room. The room was clean, good size, and comfy, I don't have any complain considering it was holiday time and lots of people in and out. The only issue is parking. Most of them is compact size and lots of minivans just jamming in without considering other people. Need to work on that.
Everything was great
We used and appreciated the clean and complete health facility. We thought it would be closer to the river for walking but it was a drive.
They stuck us in the West Wing- an added hotel in the parking lot with an outside entrance in below freezing temps and the elevator was broken...
I LOVED the staff. From the time I checked in, I felt welcomed. I loved the room...very luxurious, great value. I called down to the front desk for many things at different times and every shift had fabulous people. Even the ladies at the cafe have great service. I will absolutely come back and bring my family! Thank you very much!
Cleanliness friendly staff Slow wifi ended up turning it off and using the data from my own plan why pay for an upgrade when I already pay for a phone plan?
Big rooms , clean beads , friendly personal , amazing place 100% recommended ***** best resort in Reno nv Everything
the clean rooms the cold and snow
The room is very spacious, comfortable bed and quiet room. we've booked three rooms and overall my whole family really enjoy the stay. upon check out, the FD associate there's a restaurant charge in one of our room. obviously, we never dine in or call room service during our stay. with family of us, we leave early in the hotel and coming late at night to sleep and rest. I hope this wrong charges will not despite my future stay. Thanks.
Very nice, we really enjoyed our stay
Close to where I needed to be for a friend's wedding The non-smoking rooms smelled like smoke, had to air them out for a day with the window open to get the smoke out. The front desk was generally slow, the sheets had holes in them and were not tucked in well.
It was a room for the night. Rude front desk staff, smokey, dated decor, not cool. Won't stay here again.
The entire staff was friendly and genuinely interested in helping. On premise restaurants seemed rather pricy.
Comfortable bed, big rooms, nice restaurant options and large gaming area with many slot machines, video poker, table games, etc. Convenient to many resorts of the Lake Tahoe area for skiing and snowboarding. Good package deals available with room discounts and resort credit included. Room was fairly dark even with the lamps on. Had to unplug a lamp to be able to plug in and use the keurig coffee maker in the room. Shower door has no handle on the inside to close it, had to grab bottom of door to close from the inside.
Cheap rooms during the week. Weekend they double up! No late night eating. Half of the restaurants are closed.
Price When I tried to modify my reservation by leaving a day early. I notified them at check-in. It was refused. So I had to pay for a day after I had left the hotel. Very poor customer relations
I came to the hotel to work but the internet would not work properly. I was denied a refund also.
My kid loved the arcade and midway game area. Food options are not great.
The staff was always pleasant and Happy! I hope they get treated as well as they treated us! Now on the other hand the facility is extremely out of date and could use a face lift! The bed was actually comfy but the sheets were old and tattered. Every surface in our room was disgusting! There was sticky stuff on every surface top. It was late and they couldn't get someone up to our room to clean it off in a timely manner. I took a wash rag and cleaned them off myself. When I was done the wash rag was very dirty and gross! You definitely get what you pay for here!!
I've stayed here a few times, and have had no problems. This time however I purposely paid for a king room, but they gave me 2 queens. When I asked about it they said they had no more. However I went online and saw that they had tons more. The staff member was not friendly about it either or reimbursed me for the amount I paid for a king room. I hate wasting money for somthing I didn't receive. Probably won't stay here next time.
The location is great and it was very clean Our bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The air conditioner hardly worked at all
They charged me $14 extra on top of what I already paid to Kayak. Unfair and a misrepresentation.
The overall stay was okay. It took about an hour or two just to check in. Restaurants took a very long time as well. The room was as expected for the price and the casino was as well. Overall it was okay.
Had to adjoining rooms. Staff not very friendly and long wait to check-in.
Enjoyed the restaurants and like that it's connected to other hotels. Enjoyed my stay and I would go back The room could of been cleaner, it looked like it needed to be vacuumed in the entry way. Staff was very nice and polite.
The price I felt like housekeeping was rushing me out of my room in the morning. During previous visits I had not felt like that.
Nice, clean room. Friendly staff It would have been nice to have a mini-refrigerator in the room for left overs. Drink service while gambling was not the best. I had to keep tracking down the cocktail waitress
Excellent rooms, gym, Internet, value. Buffets and happy hour at Napa bistro Smoke smell in hallways. Resort fee was more than advertised on kayak. Front desk didn't know of $10 free play that was part of purchased room package.
It was very clean and all the staff was very friendly and accommodating There is no night life for young travelers and the drinks where mostly flavoring and not alcohol
Staff was great from the shuttle drivers on the way in, to the driver on the way out. They went out of their way to assist with any requests, were always friendly and responsive. Rooms are nicely updated and the beds are comfortable. Close to the airport. Indoor pool. The standard pillows are terrible. However, they do have a pillow menu you can order from, which I did on the last night and it saved my sleep. It is a little far from the main downtown area, but super convenient to the airport and convention center.
Napa Bistro happy hour. Great beds and linens. Nice rooms. 3rd party reservations were wrong. I had to contact them to get it corrected. Took 1 hour. Didn't win, even a little.
Rooms were very nice and updated, facility was clean and lots of great restaurants available. The Casino smoke stayed downstairs in the casino. The Napa Bistro was an excellent choice for dinner and the Sauvignon Blanc for $10 a glass was amazing! The Purple Parrot restaurant gave me indigestion from the French toast (which I had to send back from all the black charred flakes covered all over my toast from the flat griddle). The air quality needs improvement. My nose and throat were congested, scratchy, and irritated from the smoke in the casino downstairs.
Rooms are nice and comfy. Very kid friendly, my kiddos loved the arcade. Our last time we visited we had free rooms and a refrigerator was in our room so this time we paid for our rooms and I was expecting to have a fridge. But there wasn't one and I called service desk and it cost $20/night. We already paying for room and resort fees, expensive dining and see were still going to have to pay for that!!! Not well ventilated.
Their buffet is second to none in Reno! Comfortable clean rooms with great views of the sierras. We stayed here for the close proximity to the convention center. Kids enjoyed the pool. $21 per day resort fee tacked on to room.
Everything The spa was out of this world Every one of your staff truly cares Very personable Outstanding
Hair balls in bath dub. I was lecturing and this was paid for by host yet they claimed I was responsible for resort fee not host. Unhelpful and greedy
I enjoyed size, restaurants, staff, gaming. Loved the comfort. NA
Had everything I could have asked for. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and a great value.
The people; staff were courteous, and even joyful.. Carpets in corridors were worn and dirty - 14th floor. In general, the property seemed a bit dated.
They were very accommodating for our dog, even had a full floor dedicated to ppl traveling with pets. We stayed with our puppy, and they gave us a room that smelled horribly of dog pee. It sank into my clothes and stuff and kept me up more than half the night. There was no fan in the bathroom or window to open to even lessen the smell. That made the entire stay disgusting. They charged for EVERYTHING!!! Even if we needed water we had to go all the way downstairs to get tiny cups filled by the bar just so they wouldn't charge us $3. They charged a fee to rent a crate for the night. The pet relief are was a complete mess. It looked like no one ever took care of it. And it was just a sandbox stuck in the back of the hotel.
Great Location Great Staff Shuttle to and from Airport - Edwin is Awesome! My bed made me itch. Not sure if it was detergent, bugs... I slept on top of the covers. The shower drain drained slowly.
Lvd that it ws quite n no talking. Great room..
Very good location! Easy to find foods and activities. Tv was not able to turn on. We made call after calls to front desk & service center. Then, we waited over 5 hours before someone showed up past midnight. All they said was sorry.
Light from hall visible under the door and not conducive for sleeping. Large space under the door also allowed for transmission of sounds as guests came and went through the halls throughout the night.
nothing driver was 25 min late. Had to sprint thru airport, as we hit the plane the staff was in the process of giving our seats away and we had to stop him. It worked out in the end, but in the case of flights, where time is very sensitive, punctuality is the most important factor.
Every single thing...!!! Food, fun, full of great people & full of peace...!!! You can have everything together...
Didn't like much. Poor experience at the buffet. Parking garage full each night I was there. Not enough tables open in casino. Jacuzzi and gym shut down due to broken pipe. Not friendly. Dirty bathroom and carpet filthy.
Good price It stinks in there
cheaper rate no good food.
The craps table Checking in to the hotel took forever. Someone took the time to hand out water when it would've made more sense to put him behind the desk and check people in faster. Every time I Sam ray at a harrahs the line is ridiculous and it feels as if the desks are not staffed properly to handle the volume.
The entire place was incredibly clean! Thank goodness for a Non-Casino based Hotel in Reno! Finally a place we can stay without all the noise and awful smoke! Nothing worse for a non smoker than waking up sick in the morning from all the smoke you had to wade through; or worse the smoke that seeps into your room. We will definitely be back, see you soon! Parts of the surrounding blocks are a bit shady looking. BUT it appears to be improving.
Smoke free, non-casino Slow elevator; no service elevator
Reno is usually about dingy hotel rooms inside of casinos. This hotel was the first time we had ever seen anything different, and it was really nicely done. The renovation was high end and nicely done, from the public spaces to the individual rooms. The staff was also super friendly. There were two drawbacks. One was the parking. The garage was really gross, with garbage everywhere and even an abandoned car. The garage entrance is far from the hotel entrance. The garage has an attendant hiding in a room so it's as though the garage is unattended and anyone off the street can go in there. And on top of all that the hotel doesn't validate parking. It's just a random downtown garage that isn't part of the hotel and doesn't feel very safe. The other drawback was that everything in the hotel closes early so if you want to do anything other than sleep you might have to go to the casinos anyway.
Location, good service and cleanliness. Non smoking a plus. Good size room. The finish line to a marathon was right outside the hotel and someone was using a loud speaker at 7AM IN THE MORNING to announce runners crossing and getting the crowd riled up. Then police on a motorcycle proceeded to use their sirens as the runners were getting getting close and finishing. Went on foe more than an hour. That was awful. Had I known I would have stayed somewhere else. Did not get the sleep and rest I was looking for Sunday morning because of the marathon. It was awful.
Comfort The bed was fantastic--one of the best I've slept in at a hotel. The rooms are kept very clean and the housekeeping staff are great. Location -Upside The location is very convenient and makes access to surrounding events and venues a short walk. Family Friendly Non-smoking and non-gaming make this a unique hotel perfect for families. The climbing walls (indoor and outdoor) looked like a lot of fun and I would have tried them had I not been so busy. Cramped and slow The elevators are slow and malfunctioned several times during my stay. The entry felt as though I was sneaking in the back door of a night club. There was no convenience store and all of the public areas felt cramped. Location - Downside The convenient location can be a bad thing as my last night found me trying to sleep with a rock concert going on in the street literally under my window. Admittedly, though, I did try to go to bed early and the music was over by 10:30. Internet Deficiency The W-Fi was horrible. It was spotty and required accepting of the terms every time it reconnected. The Wi-Fi that's free with your stay was slower than my cell phone and the broadband we paid for in hosting a conference wasn't much faster. *What's worse, that broadband was down for two of the three days of our conference.* That was a whole lot of money down the tubes.
Friendly awesome staff - from checkin, to restaurant on site, to valet. Clean and beautiful hotel. Look forward to coming back to Reno.
The room and bed were comfy I like everything pritty much
Place was clean looked modern. The only Thing was the location it was in the heart of Reno but had a few pan handlers approach me. However I think that's just how Reno is now in general
Coffer maker in the room was nice...personal Keurig Breakfast was bad and one morning there was no hot food.
Renovated but it's still an old building. Has everything you would expect a hotel room to have. Good view. Staff was great. Everything felt cheap. The room has only one winow ando the bath tub felt like it was flexing underneath me. Walls are very thin. And you can hear everything out side. Only parking was valet unless you wanted to walk.
This hotel is a gem in the middle of the desert. The location is fantastic, within walking distance from many attractions. The rooms were private and relatively noise-canceling. The only time we heard our neighbors was when they would let the doors slam. The absolute best part about the hotel is that the entire venue is smoke-free and non-gaming. Check out was a breeze, and valet had our car ready before we made it down from our room. Overnight valet parking was a bit expensive, especially for those who do not require in and out privileges. Vegetarian options in regards to room service were very limited, but it wouldn't keep us from coming back.
Decor, room & staff were amazing. The hotel has a very active-lifestyle, current, relevant, green, boutique vibe. Very hippster yet unpretentious and comfortable. We will say here everytime we are in Reno. It is also right in the heart of the casino strip if that's your thing and the river district. Hotel restaurant has a great vibe but we had dinner elsewhere. Excited to eat at the restaurant, we were disappointed to be told there was a wait for the kitchen to catch up even though half the restaurant was empty. We don't terribly mind a wait but were further surprised that we were not offered an empty table for a drink or two. No pagers or method of contact were available to let us know when they could seat us, which made the situation a bit more ackward. We finally made the decision to eat elsewhere, at Campo and were so glad we did. Excellent food & service!
Given what housekeeping had to work with; they do make effort to keep common areas tidy. Staff ambivalent & abrupt poor food quality choices on site antiquated facility with obvious wear over the decades not maintained rocking aged elevators
Very happy stay at dirt cheap prices. Clean and quiet room. No hassles at all. I'd stay again.
I did not like the fact that i was charged a 13 dollar charge for the resort fee even I was already charge that when I booked the room and also that I had to put a 75 dollar deposit down. Plus when i got my receipt it was confusing and for some reason they're charging me the 13 dollar fee again and i'm only getting 49 dollars back. We did no damage to the room and stay for one night. Will definitely not be staying there away.
Room was sizable, nice view of city & surrounding snow capped mountains. On property food selection is handy with Starbucks onsite. Easy access & free parking. Front desk supervisor helpful. If you are looking for a quiet accommodation this is NOT it! Property is wedged between freeway and railroad tracks. Yes, trains run 24x7! Walls are paper thin, with ongoing foot traffic in hallways all night. However, the lack of internet service is inexcusable. Hotel management blocks unpaid access and for the upgrade you may enjoy literally hours of offshore technical support. I left at 11pm on my second night to find more appropriate ambiance and the business service that should be a top priority for any modern facility. Smoking permitted on first/lobby floor leaves a bad impression for the health conscious.
Affordable prices at certain dates.
Noise pipes, vents
The Sands is a clean, friendly hotel that's easy on your budget! It's also within walking distance to other casinos if you want to venture out. Our room was close to the elevator, which was kind of a distraction due to the noisiness. Be sure to ask for a room furthest from the elevators.
My husband and I got the room for a good price . 100 a night rather that 275 at the peppercorn. It was a small casino but very charming. I had so much fun at the roulette table. Comic Convention and and Am Way Seminar were held the same wwekend so it was a little crowded but comfortable. The rooms a bit outdated like the reat of the hotel. You can see what your infor just by parking and looking at the outside of thw building. If you dont mind missing out on the luxury by a long shot.... Its a good deal for the money. The tooms are clean and comfortable.
low prices, internet included, free parking terrible martini, but it was only $3! no gym or pool, but it is a gambling hotel.
Convenient location in downtown Reno with good parking and cheap rooms. Although I requested and was given a non-smoking room, the smell of smoke and other ghastly odors were more than I could bear. After checking into my original room, I moved to another, but stayed only one night of my three day planned stay.
Simple, good people Signs to location of front desk not placed very logically
One problem was that the bathtub was plugged and would not drain.
How we got the room Thru Kayak Parking
How close it was to the show that we were going to everything is right there whether it be going to another casino or going shopping I stayed many times at the El Dorado in the past the staff was always so friendly at not only the hotel all the restaurants, bars, and Casino floors not so much this time They used to have awesome coupons that they gave you when you checked in I wasn't so impressed with them this time.
Were renovating rooms on the floor I was on. It was extremely loud and made it hard to sleep in after a night out.
Every thing was excellent...The bed was so comfortable when we returned home we bought one just like it.. The only thing I didn't like was there little tray on the dresser that had snacks on it..you had to be very careful not to bump it because you could be charged for one of them if they moved to much..I don't mind the mini bar but on the dresser were you like everything was not good..
Restaurants closed at anywhere from 8 to 9. Pool was located in the middle of the hotel on the 4th floor and the sun was blocked by a tower for a portion of the day. The casino paid out little money and there were never any desire to sign you up with a players card.
Allowed us to walk around in comfort versus wearing motorcycle gear. Reno and Vegas prices just keep going up.
I always appreciate the friendly, helpful staff at the Eldorado. Everyone always seems happy and in a good mood. They are very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The rooms are comfortable and have everything I need.
great selection of restaurants extra fees on top of room rates. Total price should be included in initial quotes.
They down sized my original reservation from a king size bed to a queen size bed, because they didn't have any more available, the room they put me in it was to small, with a lot of malfunctions in it, like the tub was clogged, the shower temperature control handle wasn't working, room was dirty. Just to name a few. Very bad experience with it.
The mattress was VERY comfortable. the shower head was a joke! Had to work to even get wet! The toilet had a slight leek that would cause the tank to refill just a bit occasionally thru the night. The pillows were to firm for a side sleeper. All were the same thickness. Not a variety of thickness'
Quiet and peaceful! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Liked everything.
This was our third stay at the Atlantis, using only the hotel, no gambling. We have found the hotel to be consistently clean, comfortable, well equipped and easy to check in and out. The beds are especially comfortable, and the room blacks out nicely for a later sleep. We found that the three times we had breakfast in the Purple Parrot, that the food was consistently well prepared and well served. We love the place. The only criticism is the ever present cigarette smoke. Though not very apparent in the hotel room, it is strong in the lobby due to the proximity with the gambling facilities. In the Purple Parrot, where we ate breakfast, it was noticeable, but not enough to spoil the enjoyment of the wholesome food served. We would stay there again if passing through Reno. Cigarette smoke, but we understand the nature of a Casino business. Thank goodness the hotel room and breakfast restaurant were substancially smoke free.
We are travelers from Hawaii arriving very late in the middle of the night. What a pleasure it was to find such a welcoming staff to receive us. Every interaction that we had was a joy. Management is doing a terrific job of hiring the best staff. We will most definitely think of Atlantis whenever we are in Reno. Everything was wonderful – the room and cleanliness was top notch.
The spa is always my favorite thing to do at the Atlantis. The smoke that just sits in the casino. I am not a smoker but even when you get back to your non- smoking room you have to shower or the room smells like a smokers room.
Lots of comfy pillows. Beds were good. We didn't get a chance to use, but facilities looked really nice. Shower was small, water pressure weak, and temperature not stable.
Super helpful front desk. Quick check in and out. Yay for the shuttle guy!
Stayed here last minute for a baseball tournament. Our friends had stayed night before so we requested to be near them. We were two doors down. Kids hot tubbed after a game and several hours climbing. We bought dinner at a noodle house a couple blocks away. A very pleasant stay. No complimentary breakfast.
Close to airport Burned out light bulbs in room that were not changed. Air conditioner very noisy.
Booked through Kayak and hotel would not honor check in time. We only needed hotel for layover so those 2 hours made all the difference. Hotel clerk was rude and unwilling to answer questions about paying extra for an early check in. When we attempted to cancel booking, were told that refund had to be issued 72 hours before. We were out $100+ because Westin won't honor printed check in time. Avoid.
Food in restaurant was good for hotel restaurant. people at front desk were very pleasant, very. Poor heater control, had to call front desk. Told the controls on wall does not work unless you go over to wall and hit the knee high switch on , wait 10 minutes and the heat may go on. may get too hot if you do not adjust. What year is this that I can not turn the heat on on a cool nite when I am very tired??? Needless to say stayed cold. Noisy fan also.
Next to airport You can hear anything and everything from people in rooms next to or above you. We had people being very loud for almost 3 hours in the night time that kept waking our 7 month old baby. Not fun.
The facility was very nice and we had no problems. Was close to the airport. I did not like having the charge go through on my credit card before I even left for my trip.
It was clean and quiet and upgrades are being done. A small store in the hotel would have been good to have.
Bed was big enough. Bathroom was spacious. looks pretty on the outside & lobby. Self parking is huge. Affordable pricing. Pillow was too soft. Shower head was old, water pressure was too soft. There was no vent in the bathroom & couldn't lock the door. Not enough outlets to plug near nightstand & speaker dock was only for iPhone 4, needs to be upgraded. Casino was closed.
Staff put us in a room that wreaked of smoke. Called front office 3 times to get a new room, no response. Angry, I called again to complain, Front Desk hung up on me because "I was raising my voice". Front Desk then called back, like they were doing me a favor, and with lots of attitude, and said they found a new room. A half hour later we had a new room that was smaller, without the two Queen beds we paid for, but didn't smell of smoke. One elevator had a key reader that didn't work, so we couldn't get to our room unless we used the other elevator. Before staying here, I would share a sidewalk with a homeless person and sleep on the ground.
I liked that parking was "free"(although they charge you a hotel fee so i guess it isn't really) and the rooms had a refridgerator already in them. There was a convenience store close by. The hotel was quiet and not as busy as the casinos down town. It wasn't downtown. I thought the walk would be a little shorter but due to the construction sometimes it took a little longer. Also, there was no casino for gambling.
* Very nice inside * Extremely clean * Smallest king room that I have ever stayed in (even among boutique hotels) * Hot tub was not working, despite being brand new - I came to Reno for Tough Mudder and that was one of my main reasons for staying there was to come back and soak in a nice new hot tub
the rooms were nice, clean. the staff was every friendly overall a nice hotel. if you are looking for just a hotel. Karl the bar tender was great! the web site shows a casino and restaurants. the only place to eat there was a Johnny rockets. the a/c hardly worked and was every loud.water pressure was really weak.
Nice river view room, clean No mention the property is distressed financially, spa, pool and restaurants are closed for "renovations". Not a lick of construction activity could be observed. Front desk at check in, shared the casino " closed last year" and will not reopen when the property is rebadged in 2016-17. Other guests were equally mislead and frequently mentioned their opinion of the deception when
Friendly staff. Accomodated us with our request for early check in for free. There was a hair in the towel. Casino was closed for renovation.
The hotel room was cleaner than the rest of the property. The hotel is in the process of becoming a No Smoking and No Gaming property. Which for me is a huge plus Hotel under renovation as it is converted to Renaissance. Had trouble finding hotel due to lack of signage. Air Conditioner unit is in room with no thermostat control Mattress was extremely uncomfortable Rooms were not well insulated for noise. Noise in the corridor all night long.
Stayed out late on New Year's Eve. Woke up the next morning and there were no pillowcases on the pillows that we were sleeping on in the bed. Also the inside of the shower was not cleaned the glass was not wipe down. Ran the thermostat on 80° and it never got hotter than 70° in the room it was cold. And very low water pressure in the shower, impossible for two people to take a shower at the same time.
I booked a room at this hotel for one night december 26th 2015 I showed up late at 5:00 pm due to bad traffic The staff told me the room was not ready with very rude attitude. I asked when would it be ready . The female staff returned with " i dont know " in a very rude way I was not happy with her reply. What did it mean by i dont know. I should be ready for us to check in at 3:00 pm. However, the thing i got frustrated was the attitude from the unfriendly female staff :). I got to my room eventually. There was no towels . What the heck? It took another hour for us to get towels. :). I asled for the rollaway bed twice. It never came. I would never return to this hotel again. Stay away from it. Or else it may ruin your vacation/holiday spirit
Good value for money Noisy rooms
I loved the restaurant inside, good food. I liked the swimming pool and how it looked inside. The staff that cleaned the rooms were nice. I didn't like the small rooms, for the price. Bathroom was small. The slot machines weren't good. Inside the gambling area, not enough action. The server that was bringing drinks on the gambling floor, was not friendly at all. They need to bring better slot machines and entertainment to get more people in there. Seems more business like and not a kid friendly place. Alot of people working there, didn't seem happy. Could be due to the rumor they're getting bought out next year.
Nice, clean, decently priced hotel located very conveniently at the entrance to the Reno Tahoe airport. We had a very early flight and not having to stress about traffic, etc. to get to the airport on time allowed us to get a very good night's sleep before our early a.m. wake up call. They also had a shuttle ready and willing to take us directly to the airport. Not a thing....
The hotel is very convenient to the Reno Airport. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The walls are extremely thin. Unfortunately my neighbor had a winter cold, and was up coughing all night which meant I was up listening all night. The walls are so thin that I could hear when they pushed the off switch on the night stand. Also, the heating is not central, and the window system was very loud when it would kick on every couple hours. Overall, not a good night sleep. I was in room 223. Perhaps other rooms or floors have better insulation.
Maids did not make noise or attempt to enter the room until later in the morning. Location is fantastic. Place was clean and in good shape. Once in a while the planes would make some noise early in the AM.
Room and Accommodations Had to call a cab to the airport. The shuttle doesn't run at 4am for an early flight. Very disappointing.
The friendly staff Nothing
Facilities is very good, and front desk service is friendly.
It was at a quiet location even tho the freeway was near by we couldn't hear the cars on it at night. The hotel smelled good the minute we walked in. We enjoyed the breakfast. We liked the fact that to get in from the outside you had to use your key, not just anyone could walk in. Thank you.
Nice Staff Smoke
Customer service, dirty rooms, smoke filled lobby,
The concierge was very friendly and helpful, she put us in a lower floor at my request, and she called the room after we got our stuff in to make sure it was ok. There were a lot of shady looking people hanging around the entrance and parking lot. The room was VERY outdated.
The coffee shop and its wonderful Hispanic cooks, home-style food and low prices old bathroom fixtures; old fashioned toilet with weak, water wasting flush, shower that sprayed every which-way.
I'm still alive, my car was not stolen. I had an expensive car and felt it's not a safe place to park my car for the night, nor it was clean enough inside. Best Western (just 20 bucks more expensive) in the same area is much better. La Quinta (same price) also felt better, although not as good as Best Western.
The front desk person gave me a room on an upper level floor when I requested it due to a late check in and even though place was sold out. The room was fine. Basic two bedroom. Wireless worked. This was a multi-unit hotel with cheap rates - it worked for me when in town to go door to door during election season Lobby and rest of hotel smells of cigarette smoke bc smoking allowed in the casino. Casino diner food pretty basic. Great for feeling like you get to see some local action.
The view was nice. Although it was a non-smoking room, and it did not immediately smell of smoke upon check in, the smell of cigarette smoke woke me up in the middle of the night! When I got home, I realized that all of the clothes that I had on and that I had packed with me smelled of smoke.
Tv's are way outdated. Time for a change.
Nothing The carpets, the air quality in the room, stuffy corridors.
I'll never uses the hotel again The parking lot ia disgusting and dirty nothing worked in the rooms no towels to take a shower bathrooms would not even lock if you wanted service you had to go to the front desk
The staff was really great! Although you can smoke on certain floors I was 5 floors above it and still smelled the smoke. Other customers smoked on the elevators and on any floor they wanted to.
Absolutely shitty hotel. Bathroom shower knob was broken and they didn't know about it. Maintenance is very bad. I wouldn't stay in Ramada ever again.
Nothing Hotel is hard to find, It is NOT at the address they claim.
Nothing This hotel isn't even close to 3 star! You kidding me. Homeless people in the lobby. Room old. Wow. Absolute joke of a hotel. Never recommend it or stay there again!
Clean and comfortable bed. The price is definitely a plus. N/A. If it could provide free breakfast, it would be be great.

The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, are the very best and the friendliest I've ever experienced. Everyone was willingly to help and always with a smile upon their faces! The facility and rooms were top rated as well as extremely beautiful and clean. Recommended to anyone at anytime!
Clean and great breakfast Very noisy. Young children running the hallways and banging on doors in evening. Lots of noise on floor above too. Three times kids knocked on our door- twice they ran away when it was opened. Once they said sorry, wrong room.
Nice non-smoking facilities, clean comfortable room,, super staff, easy parking and a great breakfast. N/A
Breakfast 2nd day was not very appetizing
Courteous and helpful staff, great Continental breakfast
Very friendly and courteous staff, cleanliness, complimentary breakfast, ease of check in and parking
Customer service was terrible.
