very large rooms/suites and quiet on high floors. quite expensive
Comfort and Location The decoration.
Despite looking a dated, this is a surprisingly comfortable, hip and laid back hotel, located in a really safe area of Leblon and in walking distance of the shops / bars. Only 3 rooms per floor, with the deluxe suite being big and welcoming (in a 1970s way, but with flat screen TVs in lunge and bedroom); the normal suite is a little underwhelming. The master suites have the full beach view, and are more open plan...but pricey. If you can't afford the copacabana palace or the fasano, this is a decent alternative Staff at check in had a slightly odd moment where they knowingly tried to overcharge me, but they soon came clean. The lobby is very underwhelming.
The location and the staff are great! It's a bit expensive but the appartments are spacious and the service is great! The best restaurants of Leblon like Celeiro is really close!
location overpriced, the front desk staff kept trying to sell us ovepriced tours, etc.
We had a room on the 22nd view with a lateral view over the beaches of Leblon and Ipanema, which was amazing. The food in Bar da Praia and Bar d'Hotel is delicious. Although the rooms are well equipped, they need some refurbishment, especially the bathroom, which however clean and a good shower, gives an "overused" impression. At the check-out they wanted to charge the breakfast. Luckily I had the print of my reservation with me. The bill was corrected immediately.
The location and the view. Starting to get mold on the ceilings and a little tatty around the edges.
difficulty to communicate with the staff no body speak other language(only in the receptions!)
The beach was just at the door step. They also had a towel service at the beach which was very convenient.
It was central and in a safe area in Rio. The first room we were offered on the third floor was at the back and faced straight out on to a weather worn/dirty concrete wall - I can't imagine anyone would have wanted to stay there at the price charged at the hotel, so we had to be asked to be moved - and we were with no fuss - so that was fine. I imagine only rooms on the Rue General Artigas side are good like the one we ended up with. The staff were great and friendly. Coffee at breakfast was bad in teh breakfast area (it was like all North American bar/restaurant/hotel coffee normally is) considering coffee is a staple export of Brazil this was a shock. There was no ice machine for drinks brought back to hotel - that would have been nice - I imagine particularly so in summer in Rio. No cheap option for them to arrange just ordinary general laundry - all priced as separate expensive individual to be washed items.
Close proximity to beaches, safe location and great environment of Leblon and easy access to city. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Free WiFi was an essential facility to maintain business contact whilst enjoying a holiday.
Nice stay with helpful staff. May come back again.
Excellent! Safe! PERFECT location. Helpful staff. Beautiful, clean rooms. Adequate space. close to beach/attractions/sightseeing. THOUROUGHLY recommend. excellent value pool area
The staff were very accomodating in meeting our requests. The room on our second stay was a little small and dark.
in a good location, and close to the beaches of rio, plus good restaurants.Helpful staff, and in a good, safe area of the city
The location is perfect. Rooms are confortable and very clean. The staff was kind dedicated. I had a problem with my air conditioning system and they solved it fast. The breakfast was very good.
The thing that I liked most was the staff. They were very kind all the time. Also, the breakfast the hotel's location and the room were very good. No doubt about it. Perhaps the room's rate was a little expensive
Excellent location in a safe neighbourhood.
