The staff were very helpfull For the price I can't complain.
Located next to a good Mexican restaurant. Let's just say we were afraid to walk barefoot in the room. The carpet was badly stained. There was a dirty sock on the floor from the previous guest. Mirrors were dirty.
Rooms were clean, staff were always pleasant. Most hotel beds are a back breaker, I am tall and suffer back pain from sleeping. The bed was the better of any hotel I have stayed in. Appearance was not great, breakfast room was converted from two rooms and was crowed. Pool area very small too crowded for more than one family, didn't feel comfortable to be there where everyone walking in parking lot would stare.
Desk staff were friendly and helpful. There is an outstanding Mexican restaurant adjacent to the hotel. No shampoo in the room. And an inconsiderate guest used his cellphone outside the rooms, which could be heard inside. Otherwise the facility was fine.
Close to Old Sacramento for the fireworks, easy to get to from the freeway. Asked for Riverfront room but could not see the river itself, only the levy
Nice clean room with fridge & microwave. Awesome breakfast provided for free & Mexican Restaurant next door with great food. Staff was friendly Nothing I didn't like.
I enjoyed the pool and spa with my friend. We ended up staying there because I had to take my girlfriend to the airport early the next morning. The woman working the counter, I believe her name is Darline? Super friendly and wonderful! !! I didn't like.....nothing. :-)
I liked the cleanliness, the comfort, and convenience to the airport. The staff was professional. Light train noise, some neighbor rooms were noisy, the shower drain a little slow but all tolerable.
Nothing. Place is not good, staff are rude, room is filthy, towels and sheets are dirty and have cigarette holes. Should not be in kayak or priceline. Does not deserve a star at all.
Decent area in the middle of a business district & very close to where we needed to be. The entire building smelt like cigarettes. There was one available outlet & it was part of a lamp which made it extremely hard to charge our electronics. The sheets had holes, rips & burn marks as well as the comforter...it was a non smoking room. None of the employees we encountered seemed like they wanted to be there & weren't very eager to help. There were lots of late night stragglers hanging out in the already dimly lit wrap around parking lot. No elevator & it's a 3 floor hotel. Poor WiFi connectivity, the shower had a brown residue. A/C was mediocre & smelt funny
The room was recently remodeled. The bathroom was new, as well as the other furnishings. The breakfast room was clean, and the food was fine for a quick breakfast. My husband didn't like that there wasn't an elevator, and we were in the third floor. It was fine with me because you know, we can all use a little exercise!
The maid barged into my room while I was asleep
Near to the highway doesn't have microwave on the room
I left my class ring in the room and called after I had left. And they "couldn't find" my ring.
I was guaranteed a room that was really not available to me. That I got to the hotel and was told to go find something else.
The bathrooms were sub-par, the beds were okay but the neighborhood was horrible. Watch out for dangerous looking homeless people. The concierge didn't know the wifi password and was not helpful.
Nothing, worst hotel i ever been in. The staff was very nice, its not their fault i blame the slum lord owners Bums hanging on the back parking lot, side doors left open, dim to no lighting on parking lot, smokey nasty hotel. I will never stay at another super 8 motel, horrible.
The staff at the front desk was really nice
I like the coupon that i used to book this place thats about it $50 off... 1st my non smoking room that i didnt request stunk of cigarettes and so did the whole floor that was non smoking... 2nd the free wifi doesnt reach the 3rd floor and when you do get the signal you cant even make it thru a full episodr on Netflix without it stopping every 2 minutes (horrible speeds)...3rd theres no elevator so be ready to haul your stuff up stairs...4th i couldnt sleep so i went to grab a snack from the vending machine but i could leave the third floor because there were homeless people blocking both exits by sleeping up against the doors... Had to wake them just to go down.... When i went down i told the guy at the desk about what i saw and he says " i wish you told me earlier so i coukd have gotten rid of them" to which i replied " im telling you rite now they are still there, do something about it".... I went back up to my room after asking the homeless to move only to find out my keycard no longer worked so back downstairs after again telling the homeless to move... The guy tells me room 330 doesnt... But its clearly on the door and written on my card holder by the girl that checked me in... After 5 minutes and convincing him i was me ( no id on me ) he gave me new keys... Back up the stairs to ask the people to move again... Finally went to bed and woke up early for the breakfast... Last comolaint i promise.... The breakfast they have is TOAST, NASTY FROZEN WAFFLES, TINY CUPS OF YOGURT, AND CEREAL WITH NO MILK..... im never going back ive been to way better places in Sacramento for much cheaper than this place... West capital ave all day.... I lied im not done yet they finally kicked out the homeless at 10 am... The overnite guy didnt bother after i told him.. the housekeeping staff were the ones that finally did something about it.... If u do want breakfast you must go before 9:30 they make sure no ones up early enough to eat
The staff did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. They were rock stars! The first thing I saw was a hole in the carpet of our room. It wasn't dirty per se, but it was seriously run down. There were a lot of hotel hopping families living in the hotel and consequently if you did not reach the free breakfast bar by 6:30 a.m. your chances of scoring a danish were slim to none and any later and you simply might not find anything terribly appetizing. It's not the hotel's fault that people are usery and rude, however, a new plan needs to be devised so that traveling guests have an opportunity to take advantage of advertised perks. I do not wish to be unkind, but the other problem was a lot of children, many were fussy and crying and the walls were paper thin. I would consider giving these folks another try because the price was very reasonable and the management is very new. I am sure they will figure things out and perhaps be a nice place to stay for a very reasonable cost.
Nothing. Front desk was not helpful with coordinating shuttle . Pillows were the size of kleenex. Elevator smelled like a bong. Room smelled like an ashtray.
Price, location were very good. One computer and printer available but monopolized by one guest.
I liked the location. I needed to be at the airport early. The beds were small, I think they were doubles, not queens. Looks like the bathroom could use a deep cleaning.
The first room was a chain smoker room that was a non-smoking room, tht we had to ask for another. The TV was only a 17" tv, the towels were small and as rough as sandpaper and the room had mirrors for the head board and across the room, a little creepy.
Very clean, looked recently remodeled.
Nothing Bed bugs everywhere. Got back home with a bunch of rashes. Stay away from this motel.
Very clean and comfortable, great place for the price.
This Super 8 provided the bare minimum but was at a convenient location for the business I needed to do. Staff were friendly and courteous. They had wifi, but since it had no password, it was apparently overwhelmed with traffic and I never succeeded in accessing it. There was a bare bones breakfast. I've been to Super 8s with hot food like waffles or omelets, this one had only very basic bread and cold cereal. I generally go for Super 8 because it combines value with wifi and enough breakfast to feel ready for my day. Not having a password on your wifi so that it is overwhelmed...not great, not having either waffles or eggs, oh dear...just left me unhappy starting my day.
It was close to stuff, and it was a decent price at the last minute. The staff were very friendly. The room was old, had been smoked in, and while clean, felt seedy. If I could avoid it, I probably wouldn't stay here again.
close to airport. poor front desk check in service (slow slow slow!), room had not been cleaned, next room had a missing door handle on the inside (hard to get out and hard to lock), whole hotel is old and tired. Other than proximity to airport, nothing to recommend about this place. Do yourself a favor, and don't bother!
Thought I'd save some money. I did and sacrificed it to any comfort. The pillows were dead. Cigarette holes in the sheets. No place in the bathroom to put anything. If you just want a place to crash and nothing else, this will do. If you want any kind of comfort, this isn't the place.
quiet, nonsmoking, staff was attentive Rooms were old and out dated, the color was hideous, the bed hard, the continental breakfast was lacking, A/c units old and noisy.
I love how the bed had a light on the bed frame. I love how on the outside it looks like a cheap hotel till you get into the bedroom and it looked really nice. And the bed was nice. And the hot shower felt awesome after a long day on the road. How small the rooms were. Just needed to be a little bit bigger but other then that I really liked it
Friendly attendant Dirty, scary, smelly, area, and no amenities.
Communicating w the front desk. Very rude
This place was dirty. It's one thing to have cob webs in the room (though not acceptable), but it's another thing when the cob webs are in the shower. Clearly hadn't been cleaned. The handle on the leaky faucet was broke, and there was some trash on the floor near the heater when I walked in.
The host was helpful in letting us use the phone to arrange a rental car and taxi at the end of our stay. It is a gamble how great your stay here will be. My room was as expected but one of my traveling companions did not have as good of luck. Her first room was not cleaned (someone had been very sick inside!) so she asked for another: the front door on her second room did not lock (this was particularly disturbing as it was on the ground floor and there are many vagrants in the area); her 3rd room was better than the other 2 but still smelled heavily of cigarette smoke despite the fact that it was non-smoking. You can try your luck!
Nothing That it wasn't as advertised.
A couple blocks away, there are nice things. I suppose that the price was tolerable for the area. but you get what you pay for. Old location. "Breakfast" was some dry cereal. Location is noisy, frequent panhandlers and loud crazy homeless people outside. Frequent car alarms. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows were flat as can be. Air conditioner worked sporadically. Hot water took a while to flow. Old broken tube TV.
It doesnt look like much on the outside, but inside was pretty nice for the price. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot, the WiFi worked relatively well, we had a microwave and a mini fridge, and we walked in to a freshly-cleaned room every night. We were in town for WizCon, which was just a short walk up the main street, as was downtown Sacramento, which was fun to walk around. The staff was very friendly. They gave us coupons for Dominos pizza (right down the road),helped us with anything we needed, and when a car was coming for us 4 hours after check out time, they arranged for a safe place for us to keep our bags. Overall a great experience. The street that it is on is a bit noisy, but you get what you pay for. Our room smelled slightly of smoke, but it was something that went away quickly once we opened the window or turned on the air conditioner. The good far outweighed the bad-- a good price for the stay we had.
It is relatively inexpensive. The bathroom was clean and everything in it worked well. The neighborhood is not great but not terrible. The police arrested someone in the parking lot. No alarm clock. The carpet is filthy. Some of the clientele is sketchy. A lot of noise at night - police cars, trains, people driving loud cars fast. The refrigerator made a loud and annoying noise every fifteen minutes or so and did not function properly.
The hotel was dirty and and manager was rude. Not even worth the 63 dollars
The staff. Very convenient to the airport. My non-smoking room smelled of smoke - bathroom not clean
The location was fantastic. However, all but one of the staff were curt and unfriendly. I was traveling for business. The water was shut off while I was mid shower. I literally had to go to my business meeting without having been able to rinse-out and style my hair. I was told there was an emergency water issue and they had to shut it off and "didn't have time to warn all the occupants". Would have been nice to have a warning. After, the front desk person was helpful in complying with my being given a refund due to the issues. At the end of it all I feel I was treated fairly given the inconvenience.
The staff was nice and they were clear about giving directions. The tv and channels were good ones. The room we stayed in had a fridge, sink, and two top stoves. It also had a table with two seats and a couch. I liked how the closet had a curtain to cover your clothes. The room design was nice and better than it expected. I don't like how the tub was clogged up, but as I was about to call the front desk, the man who gave us our room called to make sure everything was ok in the room, so right away I told him and he sent the maintaince guy up. The bathroom could have been cleaner but it was not disgusting.
Hands down, the service! Whitney who was at the check in desk when I arrived was do helpful & was so nice about everything! She even laughed along with me while I was feeling so outa sorts and I went to my room in a completely different and better mood than I arrived in due to outrageous family issues that day. She assisted my aunt, who booked the room for me, who is completely challenged by anything involving technology. And was clear, precise but very patient and accommodating with her. Best experience ever!
For what you pay, it's great basic comfort .. It's not the Motel 6 from years past, great room renovations give it a cleaner feel I wish it had a mini frig...
Room was clean, simple and adequate for the purpose Very noisy.
the area is not the best nieghborhood but the location is good to get to anywhere in sacramento close to freeway, stores, banks and gas station. the staff was really nice and even the security. I was happy they have two security officers there. the only down fall was no mircowave or mini fridge, the matress are a little to thing you can feel the springs.
Rude staff dirty pool hard beds will never return Staff rude dirty pools overall bad experience
The TV The bed creaked, there was no bathroom door. There weren't enough washcloths. I paid more on Motels.com than the hotel rate.
Clean Front desk sucks!
I liked the price and the ease of finding it from the Interstate. I had hoped it would be closer to Old Town as I had to take a cab back at evening's end.
Room was OK .Not fancy, Location good. Owner antagonistic. Wanted to extend the stay. She said there were no more rooms available. Went onto Kayak and found a room for 3 nights. (Think they wanted to charge more for their rooms without the web site.) Kayak sent the reservation on their fax. She held it tight in her hand so that I could barely look at it. At each point in the negotiations she disappeared into her apartment without a word. There is NO customer service here. She said we would have to change rooms. But when her husband was at the desk, there was no problem in staying in the same room. Had mild diahrrea on the sheets only...they threatened a $150 surcharge when all they had to do was wash the sheets in bleach. The room next door were noisy till all hours of the night. An OK room but the management was horrible.
My friend and I needed a place close to the convention center and this place was definitely a stone's throw away which helped with commuting over the course of 3 days. It's not the most luxurious place, but if you just need a place to sleep, then this place is fine. Has some good sides and bad sides, but if you're on a budget and you have a buddy, this place is alright to stay at. Sometimes smelled a bit like smoke, but it might have been from the other rooms.
That I could lock the door. Had good a/c. Had good hot water. The breakfast food was bad. Not in a good neighborhood. Much about the place needs repair. Only had one elevator. Had no hair dryer. Had no wash towels only drying towels.
Clean and tidy Did not have plates for waffles no spoons for corn flakes eggs didn't have taste
The room was reasonably clean for a pet-friendly room. I have stayed at MANY Motel 6's- both corporate and franchise, and this was the worst check in experience of my life. It took twenty minutes after waiting for about 15 for the people in front of us. The had issue with my VERY LEGAL temporary driver's license and would not take it. They asked for an outrageous amount of information from my friend (who looks like a bit of a hippie) that they did not ask of any of the other guests. I felt we were profiled, and the staff was rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. They had an ARMED GUARD standing watch with his hand on his gun when we pulled into the parking lot. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!! It was the WORST!
Nothing to like about this place Everything, staff was rude and unhelpful, room smelled of smoke, bedspread had cigarette burns and blood on them. I had to take my daughter to urgent care for treatment of bed bug bites. If anyone is writing good reviews on this place, they are lying. Our visit was on 11/11/15.
Really great for the price. Affordable, clean, seemingly newly renovated room. Complex well lit with security guard. No option for early check in. I asked at the desk to check in at 1210pm... (to change and get ready to attend a buddy's wedding) they told me they would call me when a room was ready but they never did. I changed in my car :/ also you need an ID for each guest staying in the room and no outside guests after 8pm... that's kind of a hassle. My guess is that's to stop late night shady business issues? So it's kind of good in the sense that they're trying to keep the clientele classy... but what that says about this neighborhood is bad.
I ended up cancelling. After me and my girlfriend showed up, they wanted both of our IDs. She had lost hers but I had mine. I'm the one who booked/paid for it. It's stupid considering every other hotel doesn't require that. Based on this experience, I won't book with motel 6. They can apologize all they want and give me all the reasons why they need everyone's ID, there's no way I will stay again. Customer lost.
Cost and Location was the only plus The past 2 times I have stayed at this hotel, something electronically has not worked and was a huge inconvenience. First time the wifi was down and when I called to reserve the motel the day before, they said they had wifi and said nothing about it being down for over 3 days. The most recent, their credit card machine and computers were down and took over 2 hours to check in. I was with a large baseball team of about 15 teenagers and we got in at 9:00 pm and did not get into the rooms until after 11 pm. When we checked in, the non smoke room smelled of heavy cigarettes and saw 3 cockroaches running around the bathroom. Not the best time at this hotel
