Good for family with kids and close to the beaches. Half board was included in our plan. Nothing to need to say.
The hotel and the pool areas were clean and well laid out.Staff were friendly and efficient. On arrival we were sent to your sister hotel near Puerto Rico on promotion without informing us of its location. The gentleman behind the desk gave us the wrong impression of the hotels location. On our return we were sent to the garden suites and not in the main hotel as we were led to believe from the brochures. No apology was made for the error.
Staff and rooms where great, food not the best. Spa is great but very busy. Food was average.
Relaxing and lovely layout & not too big. Soa facilities un-surpased by anywhere in the world. Hotel staff great & very hardworking. All was great
Plenty of sun loungers, very relaxing Bar staff friendly but the service was appalling. We got our meal (poolside) and waited another 10 minutes for our drinks. Had to ask 3 times for drinks that were ordered!! Got the wrong change back twice.
Good food selection at buffet, friendly staff, excellent location by beach. Double room did no have double beds, beds hard, old and need to be replaced, rooms decor dated.
Comfort good food excellent staff . nighttime dancing pool activities. Great walk to maspolamas on prom and beach. A little too far from centre of activity
staff very good and place of hight quality.
The pool is beautiful, as weel as the garden. The food was always good. The location is perfect to relax, the proximity to the beach by the back of the hotel is very handy as well. The bed is too hard and gave me back pain. The clerk made a huge mistake when the transfer came to pick me up. She simply was unable to find my name in the guests list and told him i had canceled my reservation. The chauffer went away. When she realised her mistake she didnt even apologize and i almost lost my flight. unbeliavable for a 5* hotel.
The food and Staff were excèpional the spa was also top Class write at least 15 words
Maximum 3 stars. Star raiting means services. Self-service hotel. I am quite serprising, that at 5 stars hotels I have to drag matresses and ashtrays in pool area for myself, no one even helps. Room cleaning not every day. Pool area dirty. Brought caps and glasses leave for all day near your sheslong, New year party in cost of 130 eur per person, that hotel did not find a money even for small firework.
I liked the swimming pool and the staff where great. The price of food and drinks where very expensive and the room was small and could of gone to a different hotel with the same thing but alot cheaper.
Proximity to the beach. Nice large bedrooms with good sea views. Meal time arrangements were a bit confusing regarding reserving tables. Lack of parking facilities resulting in extra expense.
Location is excellent Room service, music by the pool
Majority was excellent - the location, the hotel itself, the food. It was exactly what we were looking for - to get away from the crowds for a bit of piece and quiet. Being direct on the beach was another big plus. Being a young couple, we definately were the odds one out. It wasn't that which bothered us, more so the treatment we received from the manager of the restaurant (Senor Ramirerz), whom was responsibile for the seating of guests on arrival to the resaurant. Never have I met a more patronising, unprofessional service employee. He was the only real negative from an otherwise great holiday.
Good location, comfort badroom, beautifull view and great food. Terrible arrangements for dinner (You can only arrive for dinner at 6PM OR 8PM! Do not dare do arrive any other time!) Hotel staff not friendly. Crowded swimming poll. Not a good hotel for a young couple of for families with childres.
The position is very good: very quiet but at about 5 km to the centre of the "movida" that you can easily reach by taxies (5 euro) or bus (one every 15 minutes - 1 euro - bus stop at 100 meters from the hotel). The food is very good (included the Italian pasta that is well cooked). Swimming pool was very crowded and to get a place you have to go at 8.30 (but I stayed in the week of August 15th so I think it's normal) - the hotel has an area reserved to nudists quite big that generally was empty: I think it could be reduced; luckily the hotel is really on the beach where I didn't find have any problem to find a place. The hotel is a little bit formal and long trousers are required for dinner: that's good for business travel but during vacation I would prefer short trousers...
I like the hotel, hotel view from balconi, nice staff, and ease going costemer
good location, good facilities I was on half board, would have liked to have had lunch some days instead of dinner
Proximity to ocean is excellent. Near shopping and very good restaurants. Great beachfront property. Breakfast was included and very good.
nice view from room to use their tennis court was very expencive
Location was perfect. We had a nice view over the see from the beach. The gym was free to use. Diversity in breakfast items. The attendants make huge noises during the breakfast! It was never calm! The double room does not have a real double bed, instead there are two single beds. One has to pay 2 euros per day for the safe box. If you could find a few young people, then you are lucky!
Staff friendliness, courtesy, efficiency and competence. Nothing
Everything Some might find it quiet, with an older clientele but we didn't mind.
location and staff. Bed rooms a bit dated. Need to be modernised badly. Dressing table all stained. Shower door needed to be looked at. Towels need to be replaced with new one. Need 4 towels. One for shower in the evening and one for shower in the morning. Badly needed a dressing gown which is the norm., in 5 star hotels.
The Staff were excellent The rooms could have been cleaner
we liked the size of the hotel because even with the amount of guests staying there it didnt feel crowded at all. The two swimming pools on either side of the hotel ensured guests were well spread out which allowed a relaxed atmosphere throughout. There was always space for people who enjoy sunbathing by the pool and new towels available twice a day. Breakfast was great, couldnt say anything bad about it. Fresh juice.....with Cava!, eggs and omelettes cooked to order, wide range of choices to suit all needs, the list goes on. Super! Maybe the staff could be a little more attentive to guests on arrival to make them feel comfortable and at ease in their new surroundings, some staff better than others.Takes a while to find your way around so more information or little map would be helpful. Also for younger couples there isnt much of a nightlife in the hotel, place is dead after 11 o clock.
the construction of the hotel is very unusal but nice to watch and to be in. food for breakfast in the main restaurant was not very good, small insects/ants were moving in bathroom, no doors for the toilets, turkish bath in spa was not working for many days.
Superb breakfast, one of the best we ever had on our trips round the world ! Excellent place for relaxing holiday. NIce that they have separately pool area for those who wish to have it quiet, and another for families with kids. Spa had good quality treatments Staff little bit arrogant attitude (reception & breakfast waiters) seldom smiling , except kitchen staff on the breakfast and housekeepers who were always greeting with smile.
I particularly liked the location of the hotel overlooking the sea & its wonderful swimming pools. Also it is all low-rise with most bedrooms overlooking the sea.
standard of hotel facilities, location beach and a number of resturants nearby no late check out, reception not as helpful as they could have been, rooms not well noise insulated (e.g. could hear people above walking around and neighbours showee etc.)
Nice reception, lousy and dark rooms without view. Freezing pool, although heated babypool. Buffet dinner good, but no alternative restaurants nearby. Seems abandoned. See above
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were well kept and cleaned daily. The pool area was always cleaned and offered sufficient space for sunbathing. The pool could have been heated as it was too cold to use. Overall a good standard of accommodation. Axelbeach restaurant was underused and offered only a very basic menu of burgers, club sandwich and a couple of salads. Breakast was adequate with the buffet choice available. One disappointing aspect was the pool bar closing at 6pm. Given the gay clientele, more could have been done after 6pm to make the axelbeach more sociable by providing guests the opportunity to mix and get to know each other. It would have been the ideal place to meet before heading out for the night - topless barmen? DJ?
I had heard your hotel was the best on the island and after staying with you i can belive that.Would certainly reccomend to other people.
A great hotel with 5 swimming pools, perfect for families with young kids and delicious food. Very children friendly staff and facilities.
It is quiet, pools are very nice
There is some live entertainment every night. The band playing is quite good, the rest of it (shows) could only appeal to people of simple taste. Rooms are extremely loud, impossible to sleep in due to the noise from the hallway. Furniture in the room is ok, but looks cheap and shaggy. Internet slow and ridiculously expensive (2EUR/10mins).
Lopesan Gran Hotel Villa del Conde is a well managed hotel with a high service level. The staff is professional and friendly, always being attentive towards the guests to make their stay well pleased. The hotel is situated on a A-location directly at the Atlantic ocean and the boulevard; it has different building styles and looks like a small village. There are several beautiful swimming pools and sun terraces. The gardens are also beautiful and well attended. Central is the plaza with live music and entertainment in the evenings. The hotel has two buffet restaurants and two al la care restaurants where you can enjoy a various selection of fine, fresh food. We recommend this hotel to others. non.
great kindness of staff, calm, many alternatives for children, ideal for families, large but with a peculiar style.
The room was very nice, with nice sea views. There is a very relaxed atmosphere at the hotel. The food could have been better for a 5 star hotel
The food was great and there was great room around the pools no problem getting a bed and even when it was busy it was nice and quite
The hotel staff was great, the room was very spacious, the swimming pool areas were very relaxing! Perfect hotel to relax! The cleaning of the hotel room was deficient in some of the days. The resident band of the hotel wasn´t so good. The singer couldnt sing in english.
The grounds and the pools were lovely. The room was fairly basic in comfort and fittings and there were no movies available. The bathroom was nice.
Staff were so nice facilitating and pleasant, especially to our son.Food buffet breakfast had everything you might fancy for breakfast, pancakes with chocolate sauce was my fav. we hadn't booked full board but ate alot at night in the hotel as it was good quality, variety and value. The hotel was convenient to the beech and other restaurants. It was very child friendly with a kids disco every nigth that my 18 month old really enjoyed. I felt the hotel was relaxing, the spa was devine. The hotel was spotless. Highly recommended. No kettle in the room, it would have been nice to be able to have a cuppa and also for heating adn washing my one year old's bottles...i had to pay 12 euro for the kettle for the week. Usually a kettle is standard in a four star hotel, as is an iron. You should be made aware from the start of the holiday that spa treatments need to be booked two days in advance, but these are all small things! it was really lovely
Junior suites good for families. Excellent pool and longer space. Buffet was good. Upgrading to on site restaurants was even better ! Beautiful grounds.Good nightly entertainment. Understaffed reception area. V poor gym equipment..no cardio just weights.
I thought the location was good Yhe check in took to long. not enough I fo on arrival
As always this hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Buffet not as good as usual as running out of food and not topped up quick enough. Also new was the fact that they are now charging guests for orange juice at breakfast (€2 for 200ml up wards) Strange for a hotel of this quality.
this hotel has a very good location, is very comfortable ,the food is very good very spacious no problem with seating around the pools . I think that the nightly entertainment should be based indoors during the Winter months .
I like the building-colonial style, huge territory, palm garden is very nice. I did not like about the hotel, but about guests, who absolutely did not hear the hotel's requests like-please don't book the sun beds. But it happened every day.
The Costa Meloneras provides holiday and relaxation pure from the first day on. Everything is well organized, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are large with a nice design and warm colours. The stunning pool area combined with a great garden is phantasic. Best place ever to calm down. Love it.
It was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The service was fantastic; everything was spotless and the location and choice of pools were very good indeed. Staying here, felt like a big treatl You have to be up at 7.30am to choose a sun lounger! To be fair, the hotel tries to prevent this situation, however people still ignore the rules.
The pool and all the iland no
We enjoyed the option on entertainment and facilities on the ground a lot. Location was excellent and hotel staff was helpful. The rooms were in good conditions and always clean.
Nice clean and quiet hotel. Comfortable double room, good beds and a great view of the sea. The breakfast could do with some better presentation, a little more variety and more choice in fresh fruit.
I liked the location. Near the sea and near Playa del Ingles. It's a pitty it's often too windy. You can walk to the next city via the boulevard. The reception is very helpfull and friendly. They pretend to be a four star hotel, but the facilities and interiour don''t reach the four stars. The breakfast and spa, fitness are very poor. The interior is old fashion, but clean. Most of the staff don't know how to prepair the drinks they have on the menu.
Very comfortable hotel nothing
The Ocean-view room was terrific. Very nice and quiet, and by far the better of the hotels in San Augustine. It was very clean and the service was great. It was a bit far from the main part of town.
It was a very enjoyable experience. We took the half-board option and it was a good decision. The food was excellent !! Breakfast was a buffet with a decent variety, no complaints there. Dinner was a set meal usually - except one night when we had a bbq :-). The rooms were clean. The staff was very very friendly and always had good suggestions for what we could do and where we could go. Bartenders were excellent. Great cocktails. We didn't really use the pool (maybe just to dip our feet in the water to cool off) but that was only because the beach was so close (yes I could literally roll out of bed and be on the beach). Location was great. Not too touristy and at the same time not too far from the center (1/2 hr walk along the beach) all in all, it was a great experience, just one negative, the bed was a little uncomfortable. Not sure if that was because our skin was sensitive from a day out in the sun.. or if the bed was just uncomfortable ! :-)
Room was ok Pool not heated. Brekfst very poor
Hotel staff very helpful. Location is great!
Efficient staff for check in. all staff very polite and helpful. Room spacious and clean. Food very good Mattress was far too soft, a plank, submitted immediately after request, helped somewhat, but we truly think it should be a consideration for the management to change all mattresses for harder ones!
The relaxing atmosphere That guests were put together with other guests on tables joined together which made one ill at ease and that the hotel was geared more towards German or Dutch guests.
The staff were very friendly and well organised. The hotel itself is very clean and They have wireless internet in the lobby area only, and although you can use numerous independent networks for a fee to be able to use the internet in your room. I would suggest they set up there own.
Good location close to the beach and centre of Playa del Ingles. Excellent food with show kitchen. Friendly staff. Big room with air conditioning. Can recommend for value for money! Partly old building, dirty corridors, our room in the "cellar" = reception at 4th floor, our room at first floor facing parking, hilly location.
The room, facilities & hotel staff were superb; We arrived at 1am, and Reception had thoughtfully provided a cold meal as we'd missed dinner. Depending on your preferences, you may find the following good or bad - The hotel wasn't too busy when we stayed there (October half-term) and there were very few young couples or children - Most guests were mature German couples. However, the atmosphere was pleasant and staff spoke good English. Daytime and evening entertainment was average, but you were close to lots of bars for a livelier evening! Smoking was permitted on the room balconies and in parts of the bar + outside public areas. Food was good, with plenty of choice and half board was excellent value. Our balcony only got the evening sun and was partly shaded by trees in the gardens. However, we didn't bother asking to be moved as we actually liked the shade & privacy when we wanted to cool off from the sun terraces. Probably two-thirds of the balconies get all-day sun, most of the rest get evening sun.
The fodd was the best i've eaten in my entire life, definetely go all-inclusive or you will be paying 5 euro a drink.
Location of the hotel is excellent, near the sea and not too far from the services. Hotel offers basic services such as breakfast, snack bar, and the lobby bar which offers some entertainment on the evenings. We got good service much attention by the staff at the restaurant (breakfast time) probably because travelling with noisy little kids. Thanks for the staff! Pool bar Atlantico was a dissapointment, snack bar was open only a couple of hours per day and food was no good. Drink here and eat your snacks elsewhere. Service at the bar was good and friendly.++++
понравилось близкое расположение к морю и великолепный вид из окна. Отличная работа персонала в ресторане и в кафе. Наличие справочной и другой информации на русском языке.
good location in Melonaeras, nice swimming pools, plenty of restaurants and bars, very quiet in the nighttime the minibar was not serviced, the reception never answered the phone, the hotel is not finished and the construction work is very loud in the morning, poor breakfast, no parking available at the hotel only in the area- on the street, which is very crowded. Just a few elevators and some rooms are al little bit far from the lobby. The safe in the room is charged per day - a 5* hotel should have it included. I did not like the lavaoar right next to the room entrance, so every body entering your room could see your tooth brush, shaver....right in front of the door. the first feeling entering the room is more like a locker-room than a 5* hotel room. Not all the pools are heated - we found only 2 .
Environment - clean air, good climate, lovely friendly staff, wonderful views from our room (11th floor), very comfortable beds, beautiful swimming pools (especially 11th floor pool), excellent buffet breakfasts. Exercise room far too hot and dim. No 'free' weights suitable for women to use. This is not a complaint, it's a fact.
This hotel is wonderful, the lovely breakfast, the sunset pool, the courtesy bus, it is difficult to find fault. Spa facilities could be improved, maybe introduce yoga classes. Hotel food could be improved
Very relaxing feel to hotel Not enough staff for the hotel to run as an efficient 5 star hotel!
Very little . rooms are too small-no seating area - open wash area + wet room with clear glass window to bedroom is disastrous. The buildings are all facing south east + get no sun after early afternoon + this includes the swim pools except for the roof top which is very exposed + windy. Location means a car is essential + the hotel charges €10 per day for parking
The peace and tranquility
Unbelievable hotel. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere, pools, the room, food - everything was perfect. Internet available for free (wifi to pay).
not much the rooms werent cleaned properly, the spa was not up to standard, the food and drinks were overpriced and the staff were unfirndly.
Beautiful location, perfect for a real get away from it all holiday Not particularly child friendly but that is only a minor point - if it was just myself and my husband it would be perfect for a long weekend
The hotel was amazing in terms of design, layout and facilities. The food was good anf the staff were perfect. You need a car to get around but I would rather have had a car and been in lovely peaceful surroundings than stuck in an awful resort.
The ocean and mountain view was fantastic, many pools to relax by, secluded and peaceful, very nice luxury hotel. The free beach and shopping area shuttle was a big plus. Very nice staff and service. The free beach shuttle closed too early for those who also want to eat dinner in the town but taxi's are not too expensive for local excursions.
very good choice! perfect cuisine end location!
We liked quick service, that is quick check-in and check-out. The fair price for hotel room.
Great experience, close to beach.
nice and quiet location but still walking distance from the playa del ingles night spots. swimming pool area was nice and breakfast was ok. staff at reception were rude, we didnt feel welcomed at all. the first room that we stayed in smelled like dead people, the second room they gave us the toilet didnt flush and they never came to fix it. most of the people staying at the hotel are old spanish and german, staff dont like english speaking guests. water in the pool is way too cold for swimming. we didnt enjoy our stay at all and do not recommend this place to anyone
Nothing I didn't like the hotel at all, coz the staff completely were not flexible and they treated us in a very bad way, also they didn't accept the comments in our reservation, and the room was not ok at all, and the room wasn't the one we saw in photos or what we reserved.
Good situation, view on the sea from bed-room.Seventh floor.Welcome excellent at the reception and at the restaurant. Only a problem, the carpet in the floors very threadbare .
We enjoyed meeting the other guest that stayed at this hotel. Housekeepers were incredibly nice and helpful. The hotel staff were extremely rude during check in, did not explain any of the hotel's policies. Our room was not ready by the time of check in, had no towels, when calling the front desk they stated they would send some up, waited over 2 hours, and just found a housekeeper who was kind enough to give us towels for our room. The food was awful, so we resorted to eating salad for 7 nights. The wait staff would come by and take your plates before you were even finished eating. Dinner drinks were not included as it the room was sold to us, and they even charged 2euro for a carafe of tap water.
It is is a very good value for money hotel. Good food and Clean rooms all you need
The best part of hotel was the sea view from hotel, I also updated trip advisor of our stay Reception area can get very overcrowded as very small area
Location is great. Not too close to the main centre of Playa del Ingles - but only a short stroll down the seafront boulevard. All facilities were very clean and the breakfast selection is excellent.
