Friendly staff and ease of location to interstates and Old Town. It was old, not updated in last 15 years. Still had a tube TV. Door opened to parking lot. Daylight coming in under the door. Table in room was all scratched. Did not feel safe. The tub was in very rough shape. Yuck!!! Don't stay here. Needs to be updated!!!!
Mostly everything was ok. The outlets didn't fit right when trying to plug in too loose.
It was clean and cheaper, but that was all I can say. Thin windows next to the freeway. It was really loud. Bed was ok, no hot water. The electrical outlets were old and my charger fell out of the socket so I couldn't charge or use anything. Internet didn't work.
The room is big and has a lot of space Is too noisy people smoke just outside the room and loves to talk a lot during night time but we get what we pay for

Great location, just a few minutes from most tourist locations. Nice cozy restaurant and pool. Great beer and happy hours with pool When we got there, they gave us a room that smelled like wet dog, probably cause they saw my as a young college kid and thought i wouldnt care; i asked for a room change and they switched us to a way better and cleaner room. The toiler pump was broken though, so we had to call for a plumber at midnight. Next day, the we came back from Seaworld and the maids didnt even clean the room, they left us a couple of dry towels hanging on a chair while leaving the wet/dirty towels on the ground and the bed unmade. I called front desk the complain and they said "i apologize, i dont know whats going on today" so they just sent more dry towels, the bed was left unmade.

The staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpfull. We had drinks in the bar after we arrivedwhich was right on site. The appetizers were an excellent value and we made dinner out of it. The place is really very dated. The biggest issue we had was that the room was very dirty. Hair all over the vanity top and dirt on the other table tops. It was really gross and becuase of, and only because of, thta my wife says she will not come back. It's to nad because all of the other aspect of this location make it a real bargin.
The rooms were dirty. Showers and toilet looked unclean. Carpet was sticky. Only stay here if you really cant afford anything better. Dog poop all over the grounds/grass, wasnt picked up. Was not a "RESORT" as titled.
Staff was very nice, welcoming and helpful. Location is great, in the center of mission valley. There was a bug in our room but they sent someone to clean our room while we were gone. They asked kids to leave pool area at 11pm but let us stay a bit longer which was nice since kids were a bit loud. Comfortable bed. A bug in our room. Parking = $$$.

The moment you walk in it smells so amazing like really clean and has a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and everything is so nice and modern. The room was a perfect amount of space for 4 and it had everything stocked. Parking is in a garage right next to the building and you feel very comfortable and safe. Will definitely be returning soon! :)

Conviently located and though it iis next to hwy our room was quiet, beds amazingly comfortable from the bedding to the mattress. The hotel staff in all.areas ie registration, restaurant, service help were all friendly and helpful. The hotel amenities such as pool and gym are also very clean.
The front desk was professional and courteous. Valet service needs customer service training. We waited outside in our car when we arrived at the hotel and no one came. I went inside to locate a person in the valet section who was very relaxed and not very friendly. The pillows in the rooms are too small and uncomfortable. First night in our room a drunkard was knocking on our door after midnight. Next night girls were running up and down the hall at midnight. We were traveling with an 8 month old so we would not recommend the hotel to families with young children.
NOTHING! By far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Weeks in advance I pre paid for two non refundable rooms, which were guaranteed by Kayak. I arrived and they only had one room and they oversold the hotel. I let my parents take the one room and the girl at the front desk seriously told my wife and I to sleep in our car. They then fought to keep all the money for the room and made up a lie about offering me a room at another hotel. This never happened. "Casa de rental car" doesn't count as a hotel room - I've never been more angry or offended by a hotel in my entire life. Complete snake oil salesmen. Don't go here after you paid for two rooms weeks in advance if you plan on sleeping in them - only pay if you want to be seriously instructed that they're sorry, even though you paid for two rooms they do t have any more and you're welcome to sleep in your rental car - but still pay them! I plan on filing a claim with the BBB for their fraudulent actions, along with a dispute on my American Express and I'd love to know how kayak will handle this.
My boyfriend and I loved everything! The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious enough, the room service food was delicious. The internet never gave us any trouble. The pool was salt-water instead or chlorine and was a very comfortable temperature. The service from the employees was spot on, as well. We kept interacting with the same man at the front desk, and he was extremely helpful. The one thing that I didn't like was the hot tub: the water was just a smidge too hot for my comfort, BUT I was able to adjust to it after a few minutes. That's more of a personal preference kind of thing, I know plenty of people probably like a hot tub to be exactly that temperature or even hotter, so it's not really a complaint.
Staff didn't follow through on some very basic requests, like putting a bill under my door or moving an illegally parked bus so that guests could get to the parking garage.

The staff was amazing and friendly. Sent wine to our room for anniversary and helped out with cab driver trying to swindle us. Rate was amazing. Shower did not work well. Could not switch to bath.
Close to restaurants and the shopping mall. I liked the in room Starbucks, free water bottles and nice bathroom. Right next to freeway so I could hear traffic constantly. No tv channel instructions and couldn't figure out the tv. It's not the typical hotel where we relax and watch movies at night. Also the mattresses did not seem for high quality. Felt stiff with good linens to make for poor mattress.
Close to airport. Parking was free and infront.. They did not call up for wake up. It was a disappointment. Tight quarters in the bathroom. The toilet situated too close to tub and basin.
The staff at the Sheraton were very attentive to customers and their needs especially Minge. The Hotel was centrally located to many businesses and restaurants. Services were great i rate this hotel a 5.

I enjoyed the overall hotel but did not like the way everyone was checked in. I called serveral times to see if I could do a early check in 30 mins before 4pm. I was told to call back in an hour to see the status of the room. Still wasn't ready. We arrived about 30 mins before check in time and was still told it wasn't ready. Left to go grab dinner and came back aroun 4:45pm to check in and had to wait in line for over 30 mins. The rooms were nice, but the beds were very squeaky. Very uncomfortable
They are so friendly at this hotel. We stay here all the time. It just happens to be in an area we need to be near. It also helps to have a Club level room. Free breakfast, snacks,etc.That way you feel like you are at home. This is an older hotel so the size of the bathroom was just barely adequate. I also don't like paying for parking but the cost was minimal. Other than that I can't say anything else negative about the hotel.
It was clean and comfortable, staff was nice. The prices in the shop are absolutely insane...charging for coffee and tea?! And then to park, like there are any other options. That's theft.
I liked the hot tub, which is open from morning to 10pm. Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff are also very friendly and courteous. I like the grab and go breakfast they have at the front counter every morning at the front counter. Also this hotel was a close drive distance from Mission Beach. I didn't like the breakfast; very mediocre . The "fresh cut fruit" wasn't fresh at all. It tasted like all the fruit came from one can. Beverages were just awful tasting, but okay for a quick breakfast I guess.
The hotel was clean and everyone was nice upon arrival. The walls were very thin. We could hear our neighbor's conversations and were woken up around 4am by some loud bass downstairs. Pretty disappointing considering everything else about the place was really nice.
The staff, from the manager to the cleaning staff exceeded great. They were all so helpful, patient and went above and beyond helping us with ANY inquiries. The restaurant (mexican) and the Waffle Spot were both FABULOUS! I can't applaud the staff enough! The day we arrived San Diego was having the WORST rain storms in over five years! We requested an upstairs room due to the flooding. But the staff went above and beyond in getting us settled, provided extra requests from us with NO HESITATION! I would recommend the KINGS INN if you want open hospitality and NICE PEOPLE!
Rooms were standard, clean enough, beds comfortable enough, etc. BUT the waffle spot, now there's where this place stands out. Imagine the best waffles of your life, just a 2 minute walk from your room! Definitely the best part of the stay. Would highly recommend the blueberry waffles.
Cute hotel. Nice pool/lounge area. Rooms were clean and comfortable although it did take quite a while for the A/C to cool down the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Check in isn't until 4pm...that seems VERY late to me. I have never encountered a check in that late before. I understand that rooms need to be cleaned but if check out is 11....maybe that's just me. Luckily they were able to accommodate our early check in the weekend we visited. No continental breakfast that I saw, which was listed as an amenity.
Wasnt able to check in until after 5:00 PM. That, to me was unreasonable. Something to do with short staffed in the houysekeeping dept. I flew in from HNL via Seattle so was shelled and didnt appreciate waithing so long to get my room.

Very cute little place. Perfect location -- close to airport, easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. Incredible value for those traveling on a budget. Very nice staff. Great little breakfast cafe. Beautiful pool and outdoor patio facilities. The room is nothing fancy, but very clean and comfortable. The last night, our upstairs neighbors were VERY heavy-footed. That 's the only time we've ever had a problem with noise; have stayed here several times over the past three years.
Bed was comfortable. Room renovations were nice. Price was good. Parking lot well lit. Old single pane windows hard to open and didn't do well for noise. Right next to the freeway, so a little more insulation would have been good. Refrigerator and AC were noisier than expected. Keycard didn't work. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Charged my credit card the next day for use of the in room safe even though I didn't use it. I do not appreciate being nickel and dimed especially, if not informed in advance. They should have just included the cost of the safe in the room price.

When you travel you are specting to get to the hotel and relax to get an early flight. We spend a terrible night at the hotel cause of the storm and couldn't sleep cause of lack of electricity. I invited my daughter that is going thru cancer to enjoy a pleasent night and we stayed up all night to depart and get to the airport cause the electricity never came back. We talked with the manager and he wasn't helpful. We wanted to talk with someone besides him or the owner and he said no. I'm not traying to get an advantage cause of the weather like the manager said I was. Cause of his lack of experience he is not providing the hotel a good review. I don't recommend staying there they will not make you feel at ease or welcome.

The cleanliness of the hotel. Except there was mildew on shower tiles. They charge you an extra $22.54 per pet per night. This is not told to you at all but you sign paperwork stating they are going to charge you when you check in. They don't tell you and you wouldn't know unless you fully read the small print. So get ready to pay extra then what you paid on Kayak. Also get ready for them to watch your every single step when your outside your hotel room. Talk about stalking.

The decor was nice & the staff were friendly. Crust Kitchen, the restaurant, was also very good. The bathroom was not very nice - it was very dingy & did not look like any of the pictures we saw online. Our room could have used new pillows, & in general, new towels were needed too. Two of the outlets in our room didn't work, including one located beside the bed...which was very annoying. Our biggest complaint though, was the noise. There was no sound-proofing in the walls & we could literally hear our neighbours speaking. We stayed for seven nights & many times we were woken up by our neighbours (who changed throughout our stay) & other people arriving back to the hotel late at night.
I didn't like how they played the music by the pool all night long. That was super annoying

The restaurant was great. Good food and staff. Fast service The room was dirty, falling apart, noise from the freeway was loud, the room smelled like bad bathroom cleaner, bed was uncomfortable, shower knob wiggled and felt like it was going to come out of the wall, noises from the pipe, bubbling from the ceiling paint in the bathroom, bathroom door looked like it had been forced open at one time, pool smelled bad, hot tub was worse.
I liked the mini restaurant, and the mirror in the bedroom I didn't like how small the tub was, or how pricey the meal was for breakfast
Cheap and clean room I could hear every word, sneeze, cough, and tv show of the rooms next to me. Extremely annoying and did not let me sleep.
It was quiet Felt a little low-end. Ac units were leaking water onto the sidewalk. The parking lot had very tight parking lanes.

The thing I liked best about the Best Western Seven Seas was the front desk people. They were nice, but when I asked for a room a little closer up (safer with 3 kids alone), she just said, "We have security." But I don't think I saw security around. I was kind of scared and even my daughters felt insecure too. The area is shady. Honestly, this hotel looks equal to all the other lowest-end hotels on hotel circle drive. They are all pretty shotty looking, and the Best Western just has prettier pictures, but don't let it fool you. Save money and go to a different hotel on the street, only if you don't mind a CHEAP hotel and a shady area throughout. Also, we saw 3 ants crawling on us while there for a night and the rooms are extremely SMALL, like the smallest standard room I think I have ever stayed in. It wasn't clean or nice at all and I kept my flip flops on while walking on the gooey-feeling carpet. Go a few miles up north and pick a little better area if you want nice because you won't get a nice hotel on Hotel Circle Drive (I looked around after checking out one day early).

We liked the fast and easy of the reservation online, location of the hotel, the staff that were working at the resection, the confort of the beds and the cleanliness of the room, the free parking and the price for all this.

Though grounds and buildings and exteriors clearly need refreshening, room in tower interior and bedding was updated and clean, and right next to parking lot a 10 min stroll to convention center. Glad we packed lightly with rolling luggage as self serve. Convention food was bland, worse than summer camp, even banquet food was bland, 8 days with no hot meals for gluten free except for on last couple days bland dishwater-like soup finally labeled gluten-free. Quinoa cold salad was delicious - also only offered one day and leftovers in buffet next day - glad I tried it but overheard others afraid to try as assumed made with unhealthy canned peas and carrots, but was actually cut fresh raw cucumber celery and carrot. Should have offered rate reduction. Survived on the 24 hr carrot and celery sticks and whole fruit as breadless hot dogs and cold tasteless canned tuna did not appeal to me and boiled eggs was onlything i could eat from breakfast buffet of cereals and wheatladen pastries, no hot breakfast offered at all. Hot meals that I could not eat were nothing special either - nothing chef made - just unbag from freezer and dump in buffet warmers - breaded chicken strips, chilimac, penne and sauce, lasagne, alfredo pasta. Escaped to mall - True Food and PJ Changs had gluten free variety of selections but had to pay out of pocket - even onsite restaurant charged extra to substitute as I saw no gluten friendly options labeled.
Comfortable bed and nostalgic large room. Not well maintained giving the room a grungy feel. Housekeeping staff needs more training. The planned remodel will help this property, but if the staff does not learn how to appreciate and accommodate guests, the change will only be on the surface.
The renovated rooms were somewhat nice. The air conditioner made an awful knocking sound, you could hear EVERY little thing outside, the construction was a huge mess, very cheaply put together. The sheets smelled like mildew. A couple of the white pillow cases had, what appeared to be, blood on them.
Location, staff, wi-fi. Old property, uncomfortable mattress, small bathroom, sink and tile cracked, a/c was either on or off...no degrees, very noisy with very poor windows that didn't seal out much noise. Furniture felt old and cheap. With all that there's a $20 per night parking fee and an $18 per day "resort fee." There was nothing resort about it. I'm sure it was state of,the art when it was built but it's long past it's best days.
Large facility. BBQ bar had very good BBQ food although a little limited on food choices. Rooms definitely dated. Air conditioning did not work after first day. Bed was on the floor, not on any type of riser. Musty. Limited food choices for such a large place. Staff was very friendly though.
Nothing $19 for parking per day and an extra $15 for resort fee. Ridiculous. The shower/bath tub was clogged when I was using it. The fan raddled like crazy. Furniture very worn out. The entire place seemed run-down. I paid over $200 per, what a rip off for a place like this.
The maids and ground staff were very friendly and accommodating! oVer and hour just to check in .. Rooms are severely outdated .. Parking was $19 a day and there was never any spot available .. People were double parked and I had to circle for almost 45 minutes every night. The wifi never worked and was $15 a day ..
Great location! Centrally located, easy to access trolley and buses. Helpful and courteous staff. Maintenance issues. Dresser drawers broken, Stairmaster equipment rusted and shuts down in middle of workout. Wifi kept disconnecting. $15 daily extra charge to use fitness center and wifi also was not clearly described by counter staff beforehand.
I liked the room. It was large, comfortable, and clean. The beds were made and towels changed daily. The grounds take a bit of map-reading to figure out, but were clean and picturesque. The location is not the most convenient, but the nearby Trolley stop brought me easily to Old Town. The food was OK, nothing special. The Internet was always available, but was not the quickest. That could be a problem, as it was at the Computer Science Teachers conference I attended!
Bellman were the best! Helped me with luggage & getting around expansive grounds via electric carts. Very nice gift shop. At times front desk & concierge desk were so overwhelmed/understaffed, it just wasn't worth the wait in line for service. Because of these lines/wait times, some seating is necessary on that side of lobby, or a number system for those who can't stand to wait in line.
The facilities them selves needs an update. Its like they are stuck in the 1980s. My room was clean but definitley needed an update. And a fridge in the room would have been nice. There wasn't an elevator in the section I stayed in so thankfully I was only on the second floor. A bit difficult to maneuver my suit case, but I managed.
Beautiful interior. Helpful staff in the lobby and valet. Who doesn't like to sleep in while on vacation? I definitely do, however during our one night stay in the hotel we woke up to loud staff twice. Once at 10 pm, when a house keeping staff knocked on our door to ask if we had changed our room or had switched rooms at any time. The second time we woke up due to noise outside our room was in the morning from loud radios, I'm assuming was from the cleaning staff as well.
It is close to everything Our room had an extra bed blocking the bathroom, called front desk and housekeeping to take care of it and move it out of our room, 30 minutes passed by no one came, called again the second time, and waited 30 minutes no one came to pick up the bed. My husband had to move it outside the room because i needed to use the bathroom and it was blocking the bathroom door. The parking fee was also very expensive.
I don't feel one should pay for parking, ($24 daily). The hotel is connected to a mall, if patrons from the mall try to park then charge them, that's fair. But when you pay for a room I don't feel the hotel should charge.

Location was great! Restaurant was close, freeway access were close, commuter rail close, security present. Bathroom toilet had low water line, sink water flow was low, the tube had a slow drain, and the television would go on any off every 15 min.

Loved the central location, restaurants and shopping nearby. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Elevators we're going through an upgrade during our stay, so staying on the 10th floor was challenging at times.
Enjoyed the location of the room! House keeping were polite, friendly and hardworking! It was clean! Staff was friendly and professional as well! We had to renew our card twice because it did not work to unlock the room nor to let us out of the parking lot.

All available plugs in room near bed side and desks are low power and loose (half the time my phone and tablet would not charge, and when they do it takes over 5 hours to charge fully). Balcony door will not close and seal freeway noise fully. Loud traffic noises. Onside restaurant very expensive for breakfast.

I made reservations at this location via kayak and upon arrival I was told by the shift supervisor that they were over booked and did not have a room for me. After hearing this I watched 2other families check in!
It was clean, comfortable, a convenient location and a good value for your money. The free breakfast was better than expected. The staff was very accommodating when my room wasn't ready on time and immediately provided me with another room that was ready. I didn't like that when I arrived at 4:00 PM for check-in, I was told that my room wasn't ready. We had somewhere to be and needed to freshen up, so I had to ask if another room was available. I appreciate that the staff accommodated my request, but I find it odd and off-putting that my room wasn't ready at check-in time. Also - it was very annoying that there were no black-out (or even thick!) curtains, only sheer curtains. It was also very annoying that we were level with a road so that when every car drove by, their headlights flashed brightly into our room.
Very clean , great customer service , good price I say average for the location I really really didn't like that they charge me 10.00 for parking my car in their hotel ... the street was full of car so I didn't have a choice .. and that was my deal breaker I will not use this hotel ever again . .. I have stayed in other hotel in the area with no one charging me for parking ,specially while I'm a guess paying .. very disappointed on that ..
Front desk staff made right of a bad situation Hotel needs to be renovated. The rooms are pretty nasty. The walls are paper thin. You can hear what all your neighbors are doing.

proximity to various sites. There was a lot of construction going on in the hotel and that was not disclosed before we booked it. I probably would not have stayed there if I knew that. Also, other guests were rude and running around and slamming door at all hours. I guess that is to be expected at a semi-low cost hotel. Plus, the website stated that all rooms come with a microwave, which ours didn't and when I mentioned it to the front desk on checking out, they asked if I had requested one. I stated that I did not because when I booked the stay, it said one was included. Didn't need one until the night before we checked out.

Liked the location and amenities very much. The staff was accommodating and courteous. The breakfast was more than adequate with a clean dining room. Location was great for our activities. We certainly would return again:-). Only thing was the scratchy paper goods:-(
Rooms were great and perfect for us. Having give kids suite was perfect because the kids had their own space and own TV. We didn't have to fight over what to watch! Only bummer was the shower. First not barely Luke warm water, and second night couldn't get the shower to come on to full power!
The beds and pillows were comfortable. Terrible location with tiny parking spaces, even for my compact. Dirty! Terrible breakfast. Loud!

Air conditioner didn't have a heat setting so it was freezing in the room the whole time. Giant crack in the bottle of door that was not sealing and letting in more cold air.
Nice room and grounds with very good food. Especially the sushi bar The check in process is long and the front people are on the phone constantly or gone from the front desk while guests are left waiting an extended amount of time waiting. We waited approx. 20 minutes and later the wait was well over a half hour just to check in.

Tired property. Excellent staff. Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. When doing our final room check before leaving we found a dirty sock (not ours) and sippy cup with dried nasty old milk...? Under the bed. Who knows how long that had been there. Glad my kid didn't get a hold of it before I did. Housekeeping knocked on our door then opened our door at 745 am. Say whaaat??? Overall a good stay but not at all like the other crowne properties I've stayed at. Great pool/store/front desk and restaurant staff. Housekeeping.
This is in no shape or form a four star facility, something your website advertises. They themselves call themselves a 3.5 start facility. However, it is just a motel with some frills. The rooms were smelly and the carpets dingy. The building is old and seems never to have been refurbished. The decor of the rooms fitted a Motel 6 but nothing better. I was so disappointed that we checked out the very next morning and relocated to a different hotel.

Loved the 24 hour hot beverages and the pool. Breakfast included was a great bonus. Was upset that the maid opened our door 20 minutes before checkout time, even though we had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door.

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a nice way to start the day. Friendly, helpful staff. I always stay at Super 8 - consistent in quality.
I had to flush the toilet four or five times before it worked properly. I generally like Super 8, and the room looked good, but I can't say I recommend this motel. The Shower water seemed to have only two settings: cold and scalding hot (though after several minutes of tiny, careful turns of the knob, I finally managed to get a decent temperature). The room was clean but for a few small, black spots on wallpaper in the bathroom. The lights mysteriously went out when pushing bed against wall, but returned when I pulled the bed out again. It was somewhat noisy, as such motels tend to be (luckily I had earplugs, so no problem).

The room was small but had a mini-refrigerator and a microwave + coffee maker. The location is convenient to all area highways, very easy to get anywhere. The staff is nice and the room service s doing their best considering how badly the rooms need repairs Getting in and out of the property is super-awkward, the driveway is tiny and very easy to miss. The elevator looks like the one in the public parking garage. The rooms are tiny and the walls are paper-thin, you will hear each word your neighbours (or their TV) say. Light switches in the bathroom were half broken and the fan sounded like a jet on takeoff.
There was cable and it was close to the gas lamp district/convention center Very dirty rooms. Carpet had not been vacuumed. My BF walked around the carpet after a shower and his feet were turning a black color like he had been walking outside. Comforter had stains, white stains (don't even want to know) and weird gray stains. Tub had hair inside and other small debris. The inside of the coffee machine was dirty as well. When I opened the ice bucket, a fly flew out and it bugged us all evening cuz we couldn't catch it. The tv didn't work when we just got in and the guy who fixed it barely said a word to us. After leaving the room for a few hours to get dinner and coming back and deciding it was too dirty to stay in, the people at the front desk said there was nothing they could do about it. No room change or discount/refund (it was over 200$ for a one night stay). will not be staying again
Reasonable price, cheap place to stay in S D. Area around hotel not too bad, seems safe enough. Bathroom was clean and in good shape, bed was clean and comfortable. It was quiet at night. Would stay here again for the price Inside facilities showing it's age. Carpeting, furniture showing wear and tear. Small rooms w too much furniture in them. Driveway entrance, parking lot is a little tight space wise. Don't expect a nice view.
We got there, slept, and left. It was really good for sleeping in and leaving from. The TV didn't have an HDMI port so we couldn't Chromecast movie musicals to it. It made me cry almost as hard as the movie musicals would have.
The toilet doesn't work well, and the bathroom is a bit horrible. My first time to live this kind of hotel, but also would be last time...
Staff was polite They gave me a room near the elevator on 2nd floor despite my advance request for upper floor. Had a view of a wall & roof! No safety box for my laptop. Pipe noise occasionally. It was priced well but I'd rather pay slightly more for better place next time
Nice facility and it was Clean Entire Building was stuffy. We stayed on presidents weekend( also Valentine's Day) and staffing was not adequate to serve many many guests.
When we arrived, they told us our reservation had been cancelled. Neither my wife nor I cancelled the reservation. They were not particularly friendly after informing us of the cancellation, either. Very unsatisfyjng.
They did NOT have the room available when I arrived for check in. This was an AWFUL experience as I was traveling with children and an elderly person with no bed for them.....

It was convenient to use their business center, service was great, staff was friendly, beds were extremely comfortable. Room was clean and had modern decor. Would definitely stay again, although comparing this to other city and beach hotels in this range, pricing for this room should be less, especially if parking is $10/nt.
I didn't like that I had to pay for parking. I mean I'm spending good money already just by staying there. Why do I also have to pay to park my car in the hotel.
Too expensive for what was offered Front desk least helpful (I had problem with WiFi and front desk immediately said my device is problematic, without any investigation). WiFi was horrible. I feel the hotel is misleading in that WiFi is not free, as that is horrible. So you have to purchase paid WiFi!!!! Chairs don't go up and down on press of the lever. Hardly any options in the Bistro. No room delivery during the day. Never coming back unless I don't have a choice.
Location was very convenient with easy access to freeways and close to all the sites. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly and the beds are comfortable.
Right of the freeway so it was easy find and close to restaurants.. $20 per night charge for parking, no microwave in room, the room we had was very small and near the stairway so we could hear the foot traffic thought it the night. TV control had a significant lag. One set of elevators was old and dirty.
Parking was horrible. Had to request bath towels none were in the room. Small room felt old and dingy.
Beds were clean, breakfast was good, every staff member was friendly and smiled at you. The parking pass was $10 extra dollars. I feel like they can wipe down the walls with a washcloth.
The bed was comfortable and the bedding seemed clean. TV had an unlocked HDMI port I was able to use to watch a movie from my iPad. fridge and microwave in the room. Underground parking was nice though the spots were to narrow. The desk clerk ignored customers and almost refused to talk to people before 3pm. He would take phone calls and do paperwork without even acknowledging people standing there waiting to speak to him. The pool was clean but the hot tub was filthy. Could not even see through the water and there was an odd film on the surface. The walkways outside the doors held standing water and did not drain correctly. There were only three towels in a room for 4. Very very small rooms. The electronic door locks did not work well needing multiple tries to open the door. Underground parking spots were more narrow then my most vehicles resulting in many of the people having double parked. A pipe that I can only hope wasn't waste water or sewage was dripping on my truck from the ceiling in the morning.
The beds were comfortable, room was clean and spacious enough for two queen beds. a little noisy in the evening but it was a holiday weekend. Not too loud considering the hotel was near the freeway.

I booked online so they waived the parking fee. The garage lighting was out and we were not made aware. It was unsafe and parking is not secure. We were on the second floor by the elevator and were woken up early in the morning by continuous running of children to the elevator.

Our room had a foul odor and felt like there was a lot of moisture locked in the room. We also noticed that the carpet was damn as well. Probably from all of the moisture. When I did make a complaint about the room the customer service I relieved from the manager was terrible. I will never stay here again and I absolutely do not recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful hotel, accommodating staff and excellent amenities A wedding reception was going on right next to rooms facing the pool . That wouldn't have been a nuscence if the dj wouldn't have had the music blaring late into the night , and having a very young child w/ us in the room, getting to bed was very difficult

Great hospitality, everyone was very gracious and attentive. the pool was extremely nice and i loved the workout room. only bad thing is the ice machine turns off after 9 o'clock and me and my guest were told to go to the bar and get our own ice downstairs.
You can't beat being greeted with a kind smile and a warm cookie. The Double Tree provided what my wife and I were looking for. Our room was clean. We weren't traveling with children; however, our suite's bunk bed and child room would have been perfect. The parking is rather tight, and the elevator was creaky and smelled badly.
Location was great. Love the warm cookies. When I booked on line my room included a balcony. When I arrived my room did not have a balcony and the front desk person could not really explain the reason for the difference I would not stay on the first floor again for it was too noise.. I had room service. The food was not good.Soup too salty and fish not hot and soggy.

We love the Doubletree and YES because of the cookies! From the start the customer service was excellent. We called for an early check in and was accommodated. The room was 2 queen and a sofa. The room was clean and spacious enough for all 4. The pool and jacuzzi were great. Location was great. We had an event downtown and shopped in Mission Valley.
The patio was great and the beds were comfortable!! Traffic noise, garage parking was a tight fit for bigger cars, and had to pay extra 18$ for parking! Shower curtain keep falling off making a water mess on the floor!!
They don't warn you about the $20 a day parking. The parking structure is terrible and very small.
We stayed here for 7 nights and paid $*/night for a 'kids suite.' When you add over 10% for taxes and $10 a night for parking, it was no value at all at pver $* a night. The master bedroom was very small--just a bed, 2 night stands and a dresser with TV--you could barely squeeze by it to get out of the room. There was only one bathroom--for that price there should have been an additional bath for the kids. There is no logical way to get to the lobby other than through the pool area. For a building built in a square shape, it made no sense. \nThe breakfast buffet was full of variety but none of the food was of the healthy vareity. In trying to stick to healthy eating, my only choice was oatmeal or toast. The cereals were all sugared. There was LOUSY fruit....I expected great fruit in California-afterall that is where most of it grows! stayed 9,21 to 9/25/2009 I could not stayed at a nicer place, we were treated like queens. From check-in to check-out the staff could not have been more helpful and kind. The meals were great and helping us with things to do were wonderful. I will sure stay there again whenever I go to San Diego!!!!!
I am currently writing from a room in this hotel. I can easily hear the people in the hallway, the TV next door, and the LOUD whirl of the industrial washers and dryers in the next room. The hallways and stairs are filthy. The parking spaces are actually too small. Your car is likely to be damaged just by others opening their doors. Breakfast was a nightmare. Hundreds of kids attacking the buffet with parents doing their best to help them through.The saddest part to me is that we are elite members of Marriott and stay at Residence Inns all of the time for work and travel. This is the first time I have ever not felt safe at a Residence Inn and not been able to work. Regrettably, my husband and I are moving to a newer full service Marriott here in town. The staff has not been helpful with this transition. I contacted Marriott directly to have the issue resolved. This hotel is well-kept and accessible to many San Diego attractions. It is close enough to both the airport and the highway to make it relatively easy to go anywhere in the area. We like the weeknight light meals that are served as well as the fact that the breakfast entrees change from day to day, which is especially nice for a multi-night stay. One downside has been that when the hotel is full, there can be shortages of some of the food items at breakfast and dinner because they run out. Also, accessibility wise the parking lot spaces are very tight for a regular size vehicle. There are only a small number of washers and dryers, so there can be a wait to do laundry. Overall, it still is a very desirable and comfortable place to stay.
Traveling on business I used Residence Inns almost exclusively as they are almost always geared towards business travel, however this hotel is not. It is geared towards families. You gotta love kids, lots of kids to stay here. Additionally there are several huge reasons for anyone to steer clear of this hotel. First is the parking: $10 per night does not guarentee you a place to park. Their parking spaces are actualy too narrow to accommodate anything bigger than a compact car. Prepare for car dings!! Second, the condition of the room was below what I have come to expect from Marriott. Third, the staff at the front desk was not helpful regarding our disatisfaction with the room and parking problem, obviously they have heard it all before. We moved to a different hotel. We stayed here for our last vacation with our 3 yr old daughter. Great hotel if you have kids, they have a kids suite with their own room & bunk beds. Great free breakfast buffet, free drinks/snacks in the evening. Great toddler pool, very kid friendly. Nice room, clean, plenty of room. Staff was friendly to us, even upgraded us to a kid's suite when we accidentally booked a studio with no questions asked. We'll be staying here again this summer. We love it!
We stayed here for three nights when we had our place tented for termites. The staff was wonderful and the location is great. We turned it into a mini vacation and spent days at the zoo and SeaWorld. Discounted tickets were available on iPads in the lobby which saved us time and money getting into the theme parks. Night time in the lounge area was great with the free beer and wine and we even made it to the pool e few times. The experience here was very enjoyable and we would recommend this property to anyone coming to San Diego.
Our stay was absolutely the worst... the staff was rude... there was no parking available in the gated lot... forced to park in front of hotel... and then told we had to move our veihicle. The staff was rude, the first room the gave us was already occupied... gave our key to a visitor whom we did not want to be able to just walk in. And then overcharged us for our stay. Will never stay in another Residence inn again... more of a Resentment Inn!
The Pros b Nice setting with palm trees and a few flowers. Easy access to/from freeway. Close location to Zoo and Wild Animal Park. The Cons b Grungy bathtub. Carpet not laid nicely as there were many ripples and we almost tripped a few times. The bedroom was small and there was no place for suitcases.
If you rent a car, the location is perfect, giving you easy access to everywhere in the San Diego vicinity. Except at the heaviest traffic times, everything is less than 25 minutes away by car. I can see not having a car being an issue, and I'm not sure how convenient Uber or Lyft is in the city. The hotel was very modern with a large lobby area complete with large tables that have multiple ports for your laptop or tablets. There is a really nice fireplace with 6-7 TVs and multiple seats that are somewhat outdoors and overlooks the pool. They had multiple sports games on at once. The rooms are new, clean, and while they have a basic design, they include a mini-fridge and a microwave, which a lot of "nicer" hotels are lacking. There is also the standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast included, which is nothing special but still a very nice feature. Unless you absolutely need to be in the Gaslamp Quarter or within walking distance of a particular place, I would highly recommend this hotel. I'm sure this is a standard San Diego policy but the hotel charges 18 dollars a day for parking on site. I saw that in the gaslamp quarter these prices were closer to $35 dollars a night. Just keep that in mind if you are on a budget. That being said, our car rental was very reasonable ($110 for a full size car x 4 days) and I still think its worth having your own car as the sights to see in San Diego are very spread apart.
