Easy to book on internet. Staff speak English. No gym. No onsen. Bar closes too early.
Located in the center of Sapporo and is walkable from JR Sapporo Station. I could relax in the spacious room with a comfortable sofa. None
Good location that was walking distance to many tourist sites, restaurants, and transportation. It had several comprehensive breakfast buffets. Lots of bathroom samples and extras. The room itself was clean but felt a bit outdated and worn, especially the bathroom, as did the hallway. Room seemed larger in photo.
Bad hotel. Aging infrastructure. Didn't let us check in till 3 in the afternoon. Had to roam around in bitter cold for the room to get ready.
Great location, lovely classic luxury hotel
It's located in the heart of Sapporo, it's easy to get around from the location. The room came included with nice robes and slippers. If you can book with the meals I would highly recommend it. There's three excellent brunch spots to choose from with 2 being buffets. It was probably because I was staying during the Sapporo Snow Festival that it costs more than $300 a night but it was still too rich for my blood.
Localisation in the City Centre
Mercury isnt too close to the Sapporo station but is also in a very good location.. Minutes walk from the subway, many restaurants and shopping around, and the morning market is within a few minutes walk. Only drawback I can think of is the room is a bit small.... After you open a suitcase it becomes difficult to walk around.
We would specially like to commend Mr Thierry for his help in answering all our questions and also his recommentation of places of interest to visit. His patience and willingness to guide us (first visit to Sapporo) is an example of service at its best. For his efforts, we would surely recommend Mecure Hotel to our friends and relatives.
Good location, easily accessible to eateries and transport None
Excellent design, spacious room and very comfortable. Helpful staff and good location. The rooms are modern and in very good shape. Excellent value for money, especially during weekdays. Wireless internet would be a plus. Also, breakfast is a bit pricy. I would have preferred a cheaper continental breakfast.
Location was great! Very near to Sapporo station and Hokkaido university. Massage chair was a great addition. Staff was very friendly, at first they gave us a bedroom with twin bed, although there were a bit difficulty on communication, they moved us to a room with double bed.
The rooms are very spacious and beautiful. The view overlooking the river was fabulous. The staff is very considerate and helpful. The gift shop had a wide selection of "omiyage" products and was open late. The location is a bit outside the central part of Sapporo. It was a 15-20 min walk to the Snow Festival. The rooms were exquisitely remodeled, but the bathrooms still need an upgrade.
Hotel is close to many department stores & shopping centres & Odori Park. It is also within walking distance (<15 minutes) to train station and Susukino (a major dining and entertainment area). Staff have excellent manner and are ready to help. Room is spacious (we stayed at a Superior room which surely helped) and comfortable. There are not many extra facilities (not totally sure but I think there is no swimming pool, spa or gym within the hotel) although we do not need them anyway. Overall, good value for money and better than expected.
