Clean room, good bed , good breakfast - excerise room could be better maintained, need a no smoking common area
very helpful staff, spacious well-appointed room and facilities poor ventilation - the room was very hot and a/c could not be adjusted to a lower temperature. no opening windows so room temperature was most uncomfortable
Close to the airport, spacious rooms. Heating at the bath room wasn't working. at winter time its more then a luxury.
They did not have readily available conference room facilities. Had to use the upstairs bar to hold the meeting and the rates for this were too expensive for this purpose.
The easy and professional manner of the staff and being close to the airport. The telephone system is the very worse i have come across especially for a 5 star hotel.
Very close to airport. Good standard. Lack of maintenance. Breakfast buffet should be better.
Novi hotel relativno blizu aerodroma. Tramvajska stanica ispred hotela. Prostrana soba i kupaonica sa prozorima. Lijepi pogled iz sobe i kupaonice na grad.
Everything. It was a marvellous stay, and most welcome after one week roaming BiH, Croatia and Montenegro
I think the revolving resturant and the size of the rooms are very good, the hotel make an ideal venue to meet clients in a comfortable envioroment Due to the number of people smoking and the lack of ventilation the hotel was very smoky especially on the ground floor and resturant. Comming from a country where smoking is only permitter in certain areas I found this uncomfortable.
personel of the spa was not good.
The locality to the old town and the latin bridge which is where we wanted to visit. n/a
Excellent location, friendly staff, free parking. The room was noisy (big electric station just beside). The requested "suite" (for 3 persons) was not really a suite (beds in the same unique room). The breakfast is limited.
Excellently positioned near the old town of Sarajevo. The staff were friendly and personable. The breakfast was informal, plentiful and healthy. The air-conditioning was very welcome in very hot weather. The hotel was very suitable for a grown up family group of 5 people. There was a broken curtain in one bedroom.
The location of the motel is perfect. All important point of the historical city is available in few minutes. The hotel staff is very kind and helpful.
Location! Location! Location! 100 metres from the spot where Archduke Franz Ferdinand was shot and 200 metres from the old Turkish area. Great fun! The hotel is spotless, the staff obliging and helpful, and the price is right.
new hotel in an old renewed building, central location, easy to reach, friendly accueil, nice and clean room, free internet
The location of this hotel is absolutely superb. Just in front of the bridge where WWI broke out and few steps away from the city center.
Beautiful little place located right opposite the famous Latin Bridge, perfect location, with friendly staff willing to help you out with any of your needs
Fabulous location ofr visitng hte Old Town.We were lucky to receive a room upgrae to the 'the apartment' (a very large room including kitchenette. (nil)
Clean room, big bathroom, confortable beds, In central part of City ,but dificult to find. We couldn't pay with card.Poor bufet breakfast.
Very strategically located at the tourist area. A bit uphill to climb nevertheless close to all amenities. Room was comfortable and could see a beautiful view of theold town. But there was no lift and bathroom was wet due to faulty shower door. Otherwise had a very pleasant stay there.
The hotels location! The rooms were a bit small!
lovely staff. nice apartment. great location. very good value for money. they didn't accept visa cards. the room wasn't cleaned daily.
the lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful the breakfast was very poor, there was leaking in the room coming from the room above
Excellent hotel however description not accurate. Telephone, plasma screen and kettle available in the hotel but not in the rooms as described. Otherwise it was vey clean and the staff were helpful and friendly
Great location!!! Only minutes from the old town centre.
internet connection nothing special
Location to Old City, 5 minute walk. Close to Tram 3 which takes one across the city for a mere 1.60mk about 70p. Reception put out basic breakfast early as we were leaving for the bus station 15 mins before start of breakfast and she gladly accommodated us. Room very small and basic however you only get what you pay for.We are a mature couple therefore a bit basic for us however as a budget hotel would recommend.
Staff were great, very accomodating, especially where the children were concerned. Bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have had during our trip (and that's over 10 countries worth of different hotels, motels, homestays, mobile homes etc)
Excellent location near the Sebilj. Nice staff, spotlessly clean rooms, internet in all areas. Easy access to most areas of the city. Comfortable, if small rooms. I was disappointed to see it booked out on my return to Sarajevo. Not a bad mark, but infirm guests should know it's a very short uphill walk
Close into the innercity of Sarejevo. It's a very new building. Carparking indoor voor one (mine) car. There was no airconditioning (35 C degree). There stood a third bed in te dubbelroom. No much room was left. No lift.
the workers of entire hotel are definitely kind and cheerful. the location is also perfect. 2min to the baş çarşı where we can call as a center if any one wants to be in historical center. but i liked the people of hayat, really. thanks to them. it has a parking problem honestly and would nice to be more generous with the breakfast. breakfast is limited with basic table. And i don't think it would be problem for the hotel to put basic soap and shampoo in the room.
Excellent location, clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was pretty minimalist and not that great quality.
Location! Perfect location, 2 minutes walk from Bašćaršija, Begova džamija, Sarajevo museum, Sebilj and other cultural attractions.Hotell staff was very nice, smiled and always ready to help. Value for the money- parking, place to have breakfast and a place to sleep, near to everything. Thin wall, nose from the lobby (buy ear plugs, cause Drogerie Markt in Sarajevo doesn't have it), strange balconies that are shared among rooms, breakfast could be better (but you can always and grab a "burek").
very pleasant stay. Friendly staff, great location.
The location of the hotel is excellent, the friendly and helpful staff, especially Melisa and Agnes were extremely welcoming and made our stay there very special. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler. I would love to go back there sometime. Any requests we had in the hotel were met and the girls went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay.
Close to center It is not 4 star - and the the staff is like they are annoyed. Phone's not working, no mirror in the bathroom.
Great location, very friendly staff, nice rooms, excellent value for money. In the morning, you could hear some noise from the canteen. Bring some earplugs and it should not be a problem!
My stay at the Halvat Hotel was great...the staff was extremely friendly and helpful in giving advice about where to go in Sarajevo. The location was great, as we were less than a 5 minute walk from the old town area. As far as the room, it was big, warm, and had a very comfortable bed. The WiFi in the room worked fine as well. I would definitely stay there again!
Kindness of the people workin. They treat you ike if you were in a family. Then, the location is really strategic. Bathroom is really very small, as well as the bed (I had a single bed)
The staff were most obliging, rooms newly refurbished and airy. Good to have breakfast included.
Good location for exploring old city centre. Walking distance to all parts of the city. No bar or social area so difficult if travelling alone. No food other than breakfast.
A short walk from Sarajevo 'old town'. Interesting interior design features, good breakfast buffet with CNN News in the breakfast room. Very helpful English speaking reception staff. No.
Close to old town and no problem to park the car on the street. Rooms are not standard. You should see different rooms if available before you pick one; otherwise you can get a really old room.
Location is very convenient. Staff was very helpful Breakfast menu could use some additions.
Good location, simple but very nice. Good relatin price/quality.
Staff extremely helpful.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and flexible.
staff extremely friendly and helpful
Everything was fabulous....room, spa, gym, pool, staff! They aren't great on small details eg. bed not made, only small towels given, breakfast doesn't follow the menu. But these do not detract from the hotel being great!
Wonderful location and staff. We stayed in a larger room which had a porch with a very nice view. Bathroom sink and shower are poorly designed (sink is way too high and water goes everywhere from the shower), but pretty.
Wonderful and safe hotel in the heart of Sarajevo. No other hotel is so central! The pool, sauna, and GYM are totally free for guests! Also restaurant is extremely good and totally unexpensive. Is extremely important to book a central hotel like this: Sarajevo is a bit dangerous in the neighbours and you'll feel unsafe in small streets without people. Think seriously about it!
friendly personnel. not kept there promiss to repair some things
Very friendly staff, good location, additional hotel offer (swimming pool, sauna, fitness)
Design, location are excellent! Can't find a hotel this small whit such an excellent pool and spa!
We liked the big, comfortable bed with the many pillows, also the friendlyness of your staff
rich breackfast, great pool and gym; location in the center walking part near to the muslamic neighborhood with many shops (quite cheap stuff, but great and tasty restaurants).
Stuff and unique design. Hot water is not constant.
The hotel is very eclectic, the location was great, the staff were wonderful and welcoming, our room was large, the bed was comfortable. The towels were small and we would have liked a full-length mirror in our room.
Wonderfull Hotel... Nothing
The bedroom was unique and quite stunning - extremely spacious, well presented/ furnished, with a wonderful balcony having goods views of the surrounding areas. The breakfast was excellent - fresh, plentiful, with first class service by attentive staff. It was a great pity, and a strange contradiction, that the bathroom did not match the opulence of the bedroom. The bath was small, the over bath shower oscillated between hot and cool from the instant heater, and the toilet was loose and badly located. I would strongly recommend a complete refit/ enlargement of the bathroom in order to justify the room rate, and to do justice to the wonderful bedroom.
Great family run boutique hotel. On arrival the owners greeted us with a nice warm welcome. Tastefully decorated, very spacious apartment which was well equipped. Friendly helpful staff. Easy walking distance into the old town. Expensive, but good value for money. Everything was of a very high standard.
Staff is very friendly, a nice local hotel near the old city section, but several streets up from the main road so it is quiet. Excellent breakfast. Hotel arranged for driver to meet us at the airport, we arranged a trip to Mostar and Blagjac with the same driver, Adis. Walked to the areas we wanted to see. We will return to Sarajevo and would certainly stay here. Note, see the vizier's blanket displayed in the lobby and ask about it's history - approximately 300 years old. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this is a great local hotel. Please be aware that Sarajevo is hilly and the walk down to the Old city, while only a few blocks, has some stairs. This is not a dislike, just an observation.
the staff was very hot and is meant seriously and stay in the room decor was nice too
space in apartment. Use of internet/wifi. Excellent breakfast. parking. Close to centre. Charm and originality. Building site next door.
They were huge rooms with lovely helpful staff who could speak English. The location was ok, close enough to walk to most places and breakfast was good.
Large spacious room .comfortable big bed. Nice decor and very clean good location Was a bit noisey as it's right in the hussle and bussle. Also could hear the muslim call of prayer at 6.00 am from the adjacent mosque ;-(
Excellent location right in the pedestrian zone in the middle of Sarajevo old town. Very helpful that there were signs directing you to the hotel from the Latin Bridge - could elsewise have been difficult to locate.
The location was very good and ladies at the reception was excellent in greeting and providing the needed information
Practically brand new hotel, situated in about the most central location possible. Most sights and every facility are within a 2 minute walk. The staff have a real enthusiasm for making a sucess of the venture and their professionalism was much appreciated. The odd teething problem, like the hot water ran out one morning, but I'm sure they'll fix it.
good location, nice staf
The Cleanliness of the hotel, the location and the friendly staff. One of the best hotel's I stayed in.
Attractive central location. Great views of mosque and old town. Large, light room with newly fitted bathroom. Friendly staff who spoke good English.
A very central yet quiet hotel with helpful friendly staff. No bar or lift
The location is excellent. Right in ithe old town where you want to be, staff were helpful with directing you with places to go. Breakfast was lovely. Not about the hotel itself, but if you arrive at the train station, there is no ATM or money change places, so make sure you have some smaller euro notes on you to pay for your taxi into the city center.
The location was great
friendly & flexible staff; central location (very close to bascarsija)
This is the best value for comfortable, clean, and friendly lodging in Sarajevo. It is perfectly located, 5 mins walk (just over the Latin Bridge) to Bascarsija (Old Town), and has easy tram and trolley bus access as well. Plus, just steps from the guesthouse is a neighborhood grocery with an ATM machine. Wireless and A-C worked great and breakfasts were wonderful. Stayed here a total of two weeks over a 5 week period and could not have been more pleased with this place.
Good location, friendly staff, clean rooms (although a bit dark). Breakfast ok. Nice oriental feel of the building. Not very easy to find - even with a GPS, as the street names are unclear (several streets named "Bistrik", with confusing numbering and signing). However, that's not really fault of the hotel.
was very comfortable and clean and hotel price was so good. Espacially the boss name was Amar very hospitable and friendly. Breakfast was accordance with price. room was authentic and it was reflected sarajevo ambiance. parking area was prblem but 5 minutes distance there was safety covered parking place
Very nice staff, rooms small but comfortable. Breakfast Buffet was ok. Nice location near the center.
The stafff was very friendly and helpful. The room were very clean and decorated in an ethnic style. The location is very good near the old town and the bazaar.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with an excellent location right in the heart of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Staff were very frieldly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
Proximity to the Old Town, friendly staff, great breakfast
Very friendly people, quite newly renovated, central location, nice breakfast. Places like this really stick out of this still rather depressing city, which is so nice and picturesquely situated but still full of ruins. We did not have the feeling that the porter checked everyone coming in, but maybe they have a camera hidden somewhere. The tables in the lovely breakfast room are Turkish style -- just above your knees -- and some of the seats are just low stools. But when we stayed there (August/September), there was lots of room for everyone, thus no problem once you learn to focus on leaning back. There are pretty mean pickpockets around the bazaar. Mother grabs arm with fingernails, daughter digs into your bag, son bugs accompanying person. Another note: Half the restaurant in the bazaar do not sell alcohol and it is hard to see the difference from outside
Location and good staff. Also English skills were good. Some of the fittings in the room were loose. Small point but better maintenance would enhance the experience.
Very Near Old Part of Sarajevo Only Twin rooms available not double as stated on website
Decent location near the old town (not ultra-central, but a nice 10 min walk from the Sebilj), very big, comfortable room, nice staff. They didn't have a record of my initial reservation.
We had an excellent time at this hotel. Best customer service by far. Clean rooms, very affordable, spacious, an easy walk to the tram. Certainly will come again !
Nice place, very close to Sarajevo centre with a very nice staff.
Excellent small hotel - good location short walk up from old town. Very frendly and helpful staff. Bed incredibly comfy. Communal area was good to work in and not feel isolated in the room. Parking on site was a real bonus. Will be back again.
Very good value for money. Attic room - blinds over skylights/windows were broken so was very light in the mornings.
The hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful, the room was very nice and comfortable. The location of the hotel is good and the building itself is lovely.
Great staff. i had a beautiful penthouse room on the third floor.the wi-fi worked flawlessly. the location is very good, only a short walk to the old town. the absence of an elevator may be a problem for those travelling with a heavy load.
The hotel is in a good location - short walk to old town. The staff was friendly; the hotel was clean and modern.
Excellent location at the end of the pedestrian area. Excellent views from the rooms and the bar. Fair enough pricing.
Nice people, nice staff, nice city, nice room, nice location etc.
Nice staff, friendly people, absolutely amazing view from the breakfast room, great/central location and closeness to the shopping area and last but not least---comfortable bed :-) No complains, what-so-ever...however, no elevator past Floor 9 to the top(I believe 12th floor). Good exercise :-)
I liked the staff and the room. The equipment was new and of good quality. The views from the windows were good and the beds were very comfortable. The food was good. No lift from reception to room (we are 75 and 76 and not strong. The booking had not been made, they said, so we started in a high up room which was not satisfactory. They did move us when a lower room became available but they charged us for both rooms.
Amazing view, two of the walls were made of glass ... Amazing day and night views. Dirty carpets on the stairs :)
location, comfort of the beds inadequate hair dryer
Very gentle staff.
Excellence in location, city views, comfort/room and staff Only soft drinks available in mini bar and restaurant
Location, view from the terrace, bed very comfortable, very reactive receptionist, nice room.... Breakfast could have offered more choice, no curtain or white curtain to avoid the daylight early in the morning
It was in a great location and the views from the room were amazing. the room was very very small and there was no private parking although it is advertised on this website as having private parking. It is marketed as a luxury hotel - but I would say it is mid-range.
Hotel is center
A very friendly and well kept hotel. The rooms and common areas were immaculate. It does cater to a religious Muslim market, so there are tensions with secular and gentile guests. For instance the pool has hours set aside for women only. The other hours are supposed to be co-ed, but some men may object if women are in the pool with them. Overall, most people make the effort to accommodate everyone's needs. It's location near the U.S. Embassy requires a cab ride in order to reach the old city.
Overall the stay in hotel was pleasant. It is a good accommodation for night or two. You can only pay by cash although there are stickers of major credit and debit cards at the entrance of the hotel.
The personal was nice and quite spontaneous. We arrived very early and got another room, which was not reserved for us. The windows were old and we paid a bit more than booking.com told us. (100 instead of 95 - not a problem at all).
The stuff we had experience with were really nice and hospitable I would appreciate if the room had been better ventilated.
The staff were mostly friendly, very helpful and honest Many services were advertised, such as wireless internet connection in the rooms which did not exist. Nor was there a gym or pick up/drop off service as had been advertised. The night I arrived there was no one at reception and no buzzer system to alert anyone of my arrival so I waited 25 minutes wandering around the hotel looking for a staff member. The furniture in the room was broken and the electricity went out twice. The breakfast was also terribly unhealthy. I only continued to stay there because it was cheap and the staff were friendly.
The atmosfhere. The smell of room.
staff friendly and location very good it is a little old typical from former Comunist countries
Very basic, connected with a nice and interesting restaurant. Staff was friendly and the hotel+restaurant- concept differed quite much from "standard 2-3 star hotels". Mostly in a positive way. This was an experience. Nice terrace and garden. The room (apartment) was very basic. A bit long way to Sarajevo center (appx 2,5 km), but easy to go with a taxi (2-3 €).
The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a 20 minute walk from the old town area but I liked this, and there is a small supermarket nearby which is convenient. I had one evening meal in the hotel which I found very expensive by Sarajevo standards. The food was very good though!
Restaurant and location Lighting very poor for reading.
Although far from the city center, cheap taxis are easily available. The receptionist Lejla, a charming person, very helpful.
The Hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help when we were stranded in Sarajevo by the dust cloud (so we stayed longer than a day). Ask them for taxis because they are better and cheaper. nothing wrong at all
It is hard to get any better value for money than Italia. Being a really cheap hotel the it had some similarities to top hotels. The room was huge (~80 m2+ three balconies), clean and silent. Everything worked excellent with booking, paying and service. Everyone is friendly. The walk to the city centre is not that far, ~20 min and otherwise taxi is ~€2.50. Compared to a standard business hotel, Italia is little bit worn out, the staff we met did not master english (at all) and the coffe wasn't that tasty. The paintings on the walls were terrible, but that can happen at any hotel.
kindness of stuff, good taxi service
nothing my car was damaged by soem vandals once parked at the Hotel parkign lot; General Manager did not speak English and the police neither
Good value hotel on edge of city (5 min drive to centre) with parking which I required as was travelling through Bosnia by car. The 1 night I stayed it was a quiet, fairly empty hotel so difficult to judge but staff helpful (& some spoke english but this is Bosnia!) and made me feel very welcome. Would certainly stay again.
Friendly and helpful staff. Safe car garaging. Smell of petrol from what they said was a new heating system.
Beautiful panorama of Sarajevo from the balcony. Close to city center but very quiet and green. Personal service. Hard to find from the main street after dusk. Watch the location on Google aerial photo carefully.
Attention and kindness of the owner, pleasantness of the pansion, nice view to the Sarajevo (pansion is located on the hill). It was not possible to pay service with credit card. At that time POS terminal was not installed yet. I believe this was only initial problem as hotel started operating 2 weeks before our stay.
The staff were very friendly and the place was lovely to stay, really enjoyed the breakfast, great bread! It would be good to have directions from the bus/train station.
Very friendly and personal attendance from owner family and staff.Small hotel bur very warm feeling of bein welcome. A bit ouside centres of Sarajevo, but taxis are very cheap, and parking in center also very cheap if you are in own car, so location is definitely OK.
This well appointed family run hotel is enhanced by the thoughtful and helpful charm of Tarik and his 11yr old brother Benjamin (who could run the total business on his own, if necessary) and their grand mother. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and assured that our stay in Sarajevo was in good hands. A taxi ride into the old town was fast and easier than taking our own car and some of the best meals of our trip were suggested by our hosts.. All this, plus our room with an incredible few of the city made for a most enjoyable intro to Bosnia. We would definately return and highly recommend Pansion Harmony. A good reading lamp beside the bed would be helpful.
I loved staying at Pansion Harmony, located in a quiet part of Sarajevo. Tarik is very, very helpful and hospitable, and the bed & breakfast is comfortable, scenic and relaxing. Great breakfasts, parking place, clean and internet wifi.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great view. not easy to find on your own. not central, therefore better for persons having they own means of transport.
