I stayed at executive twin-bedded room. Bed is so good. and The room where I had stayed was very wide. Staff and Equipment are so nice. The traffic of this hotel is inconvenient. And this hotel surrounding was under construction.(1st floor is Now construction!) so in the morning, I have heard of the small sound of construction. and I can't catch the taxi in the morning. many people waiting...
It was great value for money. We had a nice room on the 16th floor with a king sized bed - just as I requested. The buffet breakfast was great, we had a lovely bath in our room and the mud body wrap at the spa was amazing .... It's about a $60 taxi ride from the bund which wasn't too bad or a train ride for about $4 to the expo site. The staff were very eager to please. Nothing to grumble about. But if anything the location, but that depends on what you want to do while in Shanghai.
Breakfast buffet was outstanding I needed a big vehicle to take my family and luggage to the train station, hotel was not able to assist.
Design Too far from Down Town and quite expensive compare to somes hotels with a better location. At the end the taxi was a huge budget higher than the price difference with other hotel.
Room design. Friendly stuff. Good breakfast. I had very pleasant stay. lack of staff's english
Having a kitchen and plenty of space. A fully equipped gym and games room was a bonus. Location is not so convenient to the city but very close to M50.
The design is made in modern and lively style. I think it's the good choice for the contemporary people who don't want any traditional style and seek for the new ways of life, in travelling. I don't like the bad smell of the bathroom.
Nice spacious apartment with more than enough amenities, such as a large and comfortable shower. Putuo is located relatively far from the city centre, but very easy to reach, since Langao Road metro station (line 7) is right across the road. And a taxi at night will set you back a reasonable 60-80 yuan.
Shanghai in early March was cold, grey, rainy, windy simply dreary. But our stay at the Radisson Hotel Shanghai Hong Quan definitely brightened our stay. Airport/Hotel Transportation: Arranged limousine service to pick me up in the airport. And it is not far away from the Pudong international Airport, only takes around 45 mins. Location: it is convenient to go to Hong Qiao area, only 15 minutes by taxi. Check-in: Was very fast, we were escorted to the lobby and was in our room less than 10 minutes. Room: The hotel is extremely comfortable. We stayed in a Deluxe room and it was exquisite. The space, the layout, quality of the furnishings, and the best hotel bathroom in the world made the room memorable. Bed: The Mattress was very comfortable not really too soft and not hard either, I have to say its just right. Restaurant: The dinning room serves buffet breakfast, dinner. I find the breakfast good. Service at the restaurant is attentive and I like the food. It was tasty....
Had a very pleasant stay in the Radisson Hotel Shanghai Hong Quan. The hotel is elegant, clean and well kept. Staff were helpful. The Breakfast buffet included a mix of traditional Chinese and western dishes and was very tasty. In the neighborhood there is a carrefour only need to walk by 5 minutes. It is also easy for us to take metro No.11 to go to the down town. The most good point which is the free Internet service is available in the room. Definitely , I will come back next time.
service was not good - the pool was closed during our stay there and this was not advertised to customers - i had called to check reservations one week and one day prior and neither instance did they mention the closure of the pool. obviously, the pool was very important to us - we decided on this hotel versus the holiday inn express which had much cheaper rates [1/2 the price in fact]. every single service you had to pay for - which again, at the holiday inn express where the room rate was half, these services were included - such as use of the computers at the business center. the reservations manager made a mistake on my reservation and when i called to inquire about it, he shouted at me on the phone for 20 minutes.
Good value for money. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms and comfortable bed. Good location I would like a more traditional breakfast. The breakfast was really geared towards an Asian feel but it would be nice if there was a little more than fried eggs, watermelon, rice krispies and corn flakes geared to the "western" traveler. I do understand there are a large amount of chinese guests but there are also quite a few western guests.
Location Lanuage barrier was difficult
Nice, economic, new hotel. Internet in room. Quiet location near a canal and 10 min. walk to a Carrefour hypermarket. Not centrally located, but free regular shuttle service to Zhongshan Park metro station (or 15 min. walk to nearest metro station). No refrigerator in room.
The rooms are good, clean like the rest of the hotel. The location of the hotel is not what you want as a tourist. Business hotel
Hotel was ok. Staff didn`t spoke english very well. Breakfest was limited, but ok.
As previous reviewers say, there's much around. The closest subway is about 5 mins walk. But it closed at 10:00pm. It sits right besides the river. On the other end of the road ( not the subway one), it has more stores and shops. It is best for tourists group that use bus as main transportation means. You need to place a 'please change sheet' card on your bed in order to change sheet ( becuase Holiday Inn advocates 'green' ?) There is no room service ( probably the same for all other Holiday Inn Express) so you need to pick up stuffs from the front desk. It is a fair place to stay, just not as convenient. And some taxi drivers have hard time to know where it is located. It is a bit tricky to drive to the hotel even for locals. Hope they can improve on breakfast.
I liked that everything was ok to international standarts. Not excellent, but good! Satisfaction and my best wishes.
We chose to stay there because of their name Holiday Inn Things that we did not like: 1) Staff refused to serve us because we dont speak Chinese so we were being ignored. 2) The hotel supposed to be non smoking but their staff do smoke inside the hotel made the complaint but didn't see any improvement. 3) Breakfast: the sausages and hams are coloured you can see the red coming out not for human. 4) The whole hotel only have one set of baby bed sheet, they just didnt change it even the baby bed was dirty. 5) The coffee cups was dirty didn't really wash by the house keeping. 6) House keeping cleaned the table with her hands not a cloth. We regret to stay there and we had to canceled a meeting due to the staff (SAM LI) refused to help us to arrange a taxi, instead he decided to help the local only.
The worst hotel I ever been in Shanghai. They offered me a broken door room !!! The beverages machine was broken and the closest shop to buy a Coca Cola was at 1 km !!!
The rate Taxis have a hard time to find the place, but relatively close to the subway
