Centrally located, spectacular water view, balcony for fresh air which is so rare for hotels these days. The poor positioning of the shower head and shelf must be a mistake. You need to stand flush against the wall to have a shower.
Free upgrade at check in to a room with a harbor view None
The beds need replacement. Two in my room had collapsed. The hotel engineer saidthe box spring was broken, so they offered to put us in another room. I checked and sure enough the mattress was broken there too. They moved us to a beautiful suite, but the floor in the room was too slippery for the wheels and the bed would slide out from the wall while resting, and slide away when standing. The hotel admitted that it knew it had the same problem in another room and ultimately they had to remove the frame to keep it stationary. They need to be more diligent in room inspection.
Staff very helpful No pool. No bath. Found an old shoe under the bed. Not so clean.
Convenient location, clean, modern There was a significant construction project blocking the front entrance and the street in front of the hotel during our stay.
Great wifi, attentive concierge, great staff all around. Nothing negative to say, really.
Stylish rooms and common parts Comfortable bed Reliable shower Fast elevators Excellent breakfast service Room too dark to work in Having to move all towels and gowns before showering Lack of storage space Lack of complimentary water Too much space given to expensive mini-bar "Free welcome cocktail" actually $24 Passive aggressive price list for room items Stains on walls - removed after second request
Very good value for money - all was as expected. Rooftop pool a bonus. Grace cafe, staff and food fabulous.
the size of our room, the cleanness, the old fashion decor, easy to get to , in the middle of the city
The King Single bed was soooo comfortable, Bar 77 was excellent and breakky was great Not really
Location was fantastic Everything was very clean and worked in both the rooms and the rest of the hotel Wifi was somewhat spotty and slow. Would have liked the fitness center to include a larger variety of items instead of just a few treadmills and some light weights
Staff were pleasant and very helpful especially when I relaised I had left something in my room, The room itself was medium in size but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was central especially to shopping and close to Darling Harbour.
This is a great hotel! We also stayed at the Intercontinental, but the The Grace is actually alot nicer. It has a unique ambience and feeling to it with the old building, mixed modern/classic interior and sublime staff.
An excellent centrally positioned hotel which is comfortable, friendly and the cafe on the ground floor is great. Would like some packets of biscuits to have with a cup of tea in the room!
The men at the concierge went above and beyond to help us. I truly appreciate everything they did to make our stay pleasurable.
Very comfortable bed, room quiet although located on a busy road. Unable to change the temperature of the A/C which for us was too cold.
clean comfortable room good location to CBD..the very friendly and competent staff theywere all very efficient .They made you feel welcome and such pleasant manners great staff nothing
Most comfortable bed in comparison to others including Sheraton on the Park. Staff were friendly and helpful. Being invited for drinks by the hotel.
Continuous hot water The pricing for 'room service' I find to be quite over priced and the service in the breakfast cafe area is very slow.
Room with Darlington Harbour view and closeness to restaurants and activities. - extra 2% charge imposed on the bill when paying by credit cart. - traffic noise in the early morning at Room on the 5th floor facing the highway.
location convenient--high quality bedding and bath
We booked online and this was our first trip to Sydney, so we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great location with an easy walk to Darling Harbour, and also the Town Hall train station. The staff was friendly, and helped us get checked in early (our flight arrived at 7:00 am). Overall it was a great experience. The breakfast food was a little different than what we are used to in the States, but overall it was good and they had the option to have items cooked to order in the restaurant. We would recommend the Parkroyal.

I was very pleased with the Park Royal Darling Harbour. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, a very short walk to Darling Harbour itself harbor and a walkable distance from many of the city's attractions, including Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House, the Botanical Gardens and the Rugby Stadium. It's also just three blocks from bus and rail transportation. The breakfast buffet was very good and based on the length of my stay, I even got free internet access. I would definitely stay there again.
Room and Hotel were good, however the main view was to an overpass. The hotel does not have harbor views
We recently stayed at The Crowne Plaza in Sydney, Australia. We found it to be very clean and a great location for Darling Harbour. We usually ate at dining room for breakfast which served delicious fruits and a good variety of juices and pastries. The only problem we had was the rooms were cleaned slowly and we had to wait to see if ours had been cleaned yet. They said that they had been extremely busy. Otherwise it was a great place to stay!
Close to main attractions. Staff very knowledgeable and polite. No microwave.
Excellent location in central business district directly across the street from Darling Harbor, but otherwise an average hotel in all respects. Rooms are clean but plain. Service is friendly. Health club is tiny, but has the basics. Price, relative to other hotels in this area is reasonable. This is a good hotel for any budget-minded traveler. It is conveniently located 3 blocks east of the Town Hall subway station which provides easy access around the city and to/from the airport.
This hotel is conveniently located near a lot of the tourist activities in Darling Harbour. Room was in good shape.
My husband and I booked the Crowne Plaza in Darling Harbour for two nights. When we arrived after our evening flight from Tasmania the receptionist told us that they were overbooked and we don't have a room. That he proceeded to start searching for a room for us in other hotels. Eventually ( twenty-thirty minutes later) we were told that we can go to Rydges ( the night manager told us that is was a nice five star hotel and it was not!) and we had to switch hotels again next day. At least we got some taxi vouchers for all the hassle between the hotels. The night manager promised that we will be taken care of when we come back to Crowne Plaza the next day but I really did not notice anything different in the room than the any other Crowne Plaza room in any other city in any other country. The check out process was easy and seamless.
Close to all city experiences (opera house, shops, restaurants etc) Asked for 2 single beds, rather than queen/double, but none available. Windows were dirty. No outlook - we had a grand 1 bedroom apt. TV was small and old fashioned
It was amazing place, SOOOOOO close to the Harbour. Clean and staff very helpful.
rooms had plenty of space.it was very quiet. bed comfortable. balony was great. located so close to city and darling harbour.staff were so helpful.
location is ideal
Location to Darling Harbour
The localation was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpfull, it was also verty affordable The only bad thing I could say about the room was it was a little on the small side
Room was perfect for our 4 day stay in Sydney..close to everything and its nice to have a kitchen and windows/doors you can open. Nothing really except maybe a smile etc from the reception staff wouldn't go astray..
This apartment hotel was well equipped and conveniently located in easy walking distance between Darling Harbour with all its restaurants and attractions and the main city shopping precinct. The Lime Cafe was very reasonably priced and provided room service.
It was clean, the staff were very helpful. Within walking distance to most places.
The staff went out of their way to help us (we arrived to check in at 9am) by holding our bags, guiding us to cafes and endeavoring to get our room ready as early as possible. Then we got late checkout. Excellent! No on site laundry (except in certain rooms).
The location - although centrally located there was very little noise from the street or other apartments. The close proximity to Darling Harbour, Pitt Street Mall plus numerous other locations enabled us to enjoy many pleasant walks or use the transport system if desired. A briliant relaxing holiday made all the better by our stay at the Mantra. Would definitely come back.
All staff were friendly & helpfull. Handy to Darling Harbour. Bed was great & plenty of room in apartrment. I could not get some urgent papers printed from my usb. (5 pages)Hotel needs stand alone pc for this purpose and there would be no risk to mainframe / network.
Only the location!! Disappointing compared with Mantra in Melbourne which was not only cheaper but much more comfortable. Had problems with shower. Hotel needs upgrading. Would not stay here again. Has put me offf the Mantra hotels. Overpriced for a down market hotel!
A short walk to all you need. Very helpful reception. No traffic noise. Unusual to get clean towels every day, even though they were left hanging up.
Very help full and friendly staff would stay again. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, very comfortable and location is fantastic walking distance to all main attractions.
very close to Darling Harbour + upgrade slow elevator
very centrally located some conveniences were lacking ,
Terrific location in centre of Sydney, close to Town Hall, Darling Harbour and transport, nice size room with full kitchen, friendly staff and on site restaurant was good
great location for the city, theatre, restuarants & transport
Central location, Easy access to city shopping and transport and Darling Harbour shops and restaurants, 2 rooms adjoining but separate was wonderful. Inability for staff to help with air-conditioning problems in one room.
Hotel was convenient , quiet and a 5 min walk to harbour Older furnishings and bedding Pool & sauna old
Overall apartment is spacious Worn out furniture in the apartment. Dish wisher did not work which caused the power switched off hence the fridge defrozed while we we out which was flooded the floor. We told them the problem 2 times but never resolved. One ceiling light was not working. Cutlery in the apartment only enough for 2 people, hence 2 sets each and all cutlery and crockery are mixed and matched. Glass top of side table was cracked and it could be dangerous to young children. There was one time we were in the lift with the hotel maintenance person holding a plunger who told us he just unblocked the toilet in one of the apartments. It seemed to us there might have a few maintenance problems in the apartments.
Close to the cbd and Darling Harbour for our stay. We had a wedding in Darling Harbour. A lot of traffic noise and general public leaving the Darling Harbour area late at night and early morning. If I did not have my wife and daughter staying with me I would have called the night manager to listen for themself the amount of noise coming from outside.
Excellent location when attending events at Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour. Staff were very pleasant. Bathroom clean but tiling ready for renovation.
The walls were disgusting they needed painting
Pre book hotel and had to pay a 1% surcharge for credit card usage. If it is you, do you think you would bring along large amount on cash to pay for your own hotel room? this surcharge was unnecessary. Again, is it necessary to charge another $100 on top of the total bill?
The convenient central location The room was somewhat dated, in particular the carpet needs to be replaced with something more colourful
Cleanliness Broken freezer, water through fridge/old TV's (despite brochure showing flatscreen)/no minibar/bathroom old/double bed instead of queen/mirrored wardrobes
Good location. The doors of interconnecting rooms don't stay open. An interconnecting room should have one door between them that the parents can control, not be two rooms. The ironing boards need foam underlays so guests are not ironing onto metal (did ring up and no underlays were available).
Terrible! Very unclean. First. upon arrival we were told that we could not have a non smoking room (which we had booked months ago). If this was not to our liking we could swap the next day! Second. Room was not clean, and of course smelt of smokers. Third. We found a cockroach in the room. Fourth. Internet was charged at $24.95 per 24 hours, but was given to us free after mentioning that my booking through booking.com said it was free......should i go on?
The staff were very good. One man in particular was very good on the reception desk.
Well located near Darling Harbour Restaurants and attractions. The room was much smaller than I was expecting. The tray holding the jug, tea/coffee etc was covered with dust.
Aircon worked well. No view. No opening window. Confusing address. Meant to book IBIS Darling habour
Loved the Hotel. Great location - walking distance to everything!! Great for shopping, monorail, Casino, anything you want to do in Darling Harbour. Thankyou we will return.
The hotel situation. Breakfast and small rooms.
Location was excellent for walking to attractions and shops
The location is perfect. The staff were very friendly too. Also the room is very clean although a bit small. The blind is not ideally located. It kept hitting the window when the air con blew directly at the blind. As a result, it was very noisy at nite, can't really get a good nite sleep. The clothes hanger (ie the bar) in the toilet is too low so much so that the towel touched the floor when you hang them.
easy access to city, transport and local eateries; friendly and efficient staff; cleanliness of bedroom and bathroom; good television. No, all good.
i liked the location of the hotel and also i thought we paid a resonable price for the location of the hotel
the location was excellent as we had a wedding to attend at king street wharf at pier 7 a little small one ok but to stay longer too small
Great location, just few steps from train station and darling harbour. The shower very nice and private. I received a free drink, it was funny... staying at a backpacker and drinking sparkling wine, by the way, the bar next to the hostel is very nice. A little bit noisy, because of the other guest, but it´s normal, come on it´s a backpacker!
location was nice and central and close to all transport? we were told we were getting a king size bed and we never? the noise, there was a air con unit but we wernt abel to turn it on as there was no power to it and the we wernt abel to undo a window?
e evening activities n free walks in the afternoons. i couldnt participate, unfortunately, cause i was in sydney for a busy work trip. will definitely join u guys on my next visit
Perfect location right in city close to Darling Harbour & train station. Room & bathroom were clean and staff were very nice.
Excellent location in the center of the city!! TV didn't work in an idividual room.It did not get fixed in the two days I stayed there! No telefon in individual rooms. No soap, no shampoo, etc. in individual rooms.
Location is very central. Very noisy due to a club downstairs and drunken guests.
Great location, friendly staff, clean room Loud noise from next pup. Couldn't sleep
The Hotel location was good in relation to the city. The room was big and the linen clean. The noise level coming from the pub next door into the early hours of the morning made it impossible for sleep. Not everyone staying at this hotel wants to be drunk and party all night, that didnt stop everyone running drunkly down the hall ways at all hours of the night. I think this hotel would benifit from having their service desk manned 24hrs a day. I think their staff need some talking to on how to treat customers, it took 10-15mins just to check in, the man checking me in was also answering the phone to whilst two other female staff members were standing there doing no work but rather discussing how much a cruise was costing. The wait for customer service then grew to about 8 people all waiting in line.
Rooms at the first floor suffer from very loud noise coming from the disco right underneath - very uncomfortable to sleep -
modern hostel with lots of services for travellers (tour booking desk, vending machines, kitchen, laundry, lugagge storage)
