nice resort, big and clean rooms. very helpful and kind staff the restaurants are too expensive
I booked a suite room on sea view. The decoration is nice. Room is clean, quiet and comfortable. I like to site in the balcony and enjoy the sun shine. Very relax. Monday night price is a bit cheaper than weekends. The beach and sea is ok, but not as nice as in Malaysia.
i liked the whole area a lot. my family enjoyed it there. they didn't have any amenities for birthday celebrants. i spent my birthday there with my family. i didn't feel special or welcome there. we weren't able to use the buggy's also because it was rented all out to the wedding guests. they didnt leave anything for their other guests.
Jet Skis and Dune Buggys were very fun, and also the pool and beach were in great condition. The prices in general were too high for quite a lot of things including food and beverage as well as the activities.
A big pool with nice view The price of food to compare to quality of food.
The weather was nice as well as the sea . There was enough activities for the kids for 4 days. There was nice restaurants e.g. the Korean. The area and the rooms were clean. The stuff was very friendly. The price level.
The vide variety of activities available under one umbrella Very little choice of food for vegetarians.
It is a very nice hotel for someone who wants to relax and enjoy the sun ant the beach.
Clean rooms. Quiet beach w fine sand. Well organized resort. Great pool w an in-built bar for relaxing refreshments. Good breakfast n yummi mango colada n pizzas. Overall very satisfied. The evening buffet was poor. Nit enough balls to borrow for playing beachvolley or waterpolo. There cud be some more activities offered complimentary.
Hotel is not too bad, but only allowed to check in after 2:30 pm. I donot understand why hotel provide the package enven better than the internet book thru booking.com
I liked how the hotel was so spacious. They were obviously close to capacity but the place didn't seem too crowded. I also liked that there was a lot of activities to do in the hotel grounds. The hotel is isolated. You can't really go anywhere and so you must eat at the resort's restaurants. The restaurants are pretty expensive and the food is rather average. There were also very few vegetarian options. The best food we had was at Haskell's by the golf course.
I love the room!!! Food are really too expensive!
Very relaxing and comfortable hotel in beautiful surroundings. Very quiet mid-week as this island is a weekend retreat for Singaporeans mostly. Main restaurant/cafe could be cooler -fomal a/c would suit us europeans better. Choice and range of foods was good but the quality was variable on the whole. Orzo restaurant had a good menu but the meals were either very good or very poor and expensive. We stayed in de-luxe sea facing rooms on the 5th floor in the west wing so the views were great and the room servicing was excellent. The staff everywhere were welcoming and helpful. The bathroom was starting to look tired and needed refurbishing to maintain the high standards that generally are the norm in this hotel.
My girlfriend and I stayed at BLR for the weekend and had a blast. We took the 90 minute Moziac ferry from Tinah terminal straight to immigration at BLR resort and it was super easy. BLR is definitely going through some renovations but both pools were open and the staff was kind and accommodating the whole weekend. The beach restaurant Neyalan was awesome, the wait staff was so nice and always had smiles on their faces. It's a great spot to enjoy lunch or dinner and has reasonably priced food and drinks, especially compared to Singapore. Our only complaint was the lack of information about the tar on the beaches. I don't know what happened off the coast of Bintan but there is no shortage of tar on the beach. BLR does a good job of cleaning it but no matter what, if you go to the beach you will get tar on your feet. We don't have kids but BLR had numerous activities for the kiddos. If you're looking for a short weekend beach trip from Singapore and don't mind some tar on your feet I would recommend Bintan Lagoon Resort.
Staff were very friendly. Pool area is a bit dated. Construction going on in the front of the hotel. The beach wasn't as clean as it could have been.
facilities were good. The main buffet restaurant varied from poor to quite good while we stayed there. staff in general were helpful and service good .Apart from comment below. changed room at start as original room smelt of smoke. but i didnt book a non smoking room (in other parts of the world non smoking is standard and you dont think about it. Also lot of people complaining of no seaview. the staff seemed to take delight in telling everyone it says sea facing not seaview.. very misleading..
Pools & beach are good. Very expensive. The price of Wine in the restaurants was extortionate. Service was Indonesian standard at Singapore prices! The ferry terminal being built on the beach spoils the view totally from the East Wing. I know Singaporeans don't like to walk more than 10 metres to get anywhere, but did it have to be built in the middle of the resort?
The beachfront is truly a place to relax. The pool is also unexpectedly big. The air-conditioning doesn't really seem to cool the room even though it was at full blast.
Nice location, wide hotel complex, two very large pools, good beach facilities. In general hotel service is not in line with 5 star standards. Room are nice, confortable but not clean (bed sheets were regularly stained!). Staff service quite poor. Restaurants are nice but too expensive...and there's no other option but dining in the hotel! Since there's nothing else to see on the island, we'd recommend it only for 3 nights max.
more entenaiments specially for kids aged below 2 and above 10 years old price of everything was so expensive and didn't worth the quality.I won't come back to this place again although the nature was very nice and the staff were excellent.
The facilites, and staff I thought the food and drinks were overpriced, including the shop. Obviously they know they have a captive audience
Staff were very kind and attentive. Liked the fact they cleaned the beach all day long and also sprayed the gardens in the night for insects. Food and drinks were overpriced. For the price, the food quality is mediocre. We ended up spending almost the price of the room for food/drinks with no alternatives.
good service. A bit too expensive.
Facilities Price and cleanliness
the choice of meals and activities highlight was pool near beach so could swim in both very enjoyable.feeding the Elephants was unique for us outstanding The cabins looked ramshackle when we first arrived but we got used to it after a day
Natural scenes near the beach & the water sports. Hotel washroom quality is very very poor. The commode was unable to flush some times. If the toilet quality can improve , it will be one of the best beach side hotel to stay with family & friends or even honeymoon couples.
fantastic beach good staff terrible beach rooms too many mosquitos getting in rooms i even found a lizard in room forgot my wake up call expensive food and drink disco fri sat too noisy too expensive rooms
Staff very courteous Wasn't sufficiently well described on the internet. Fee was in $us not $S. therefore considerably more expensive than I thought at time of booking.
It's beachfront location. We also enjoyed a very good meal at the Spice restaurant in the neighbouring hotel. Commentary for this hotel is misleading. It's without doubt backpacker or budget accommodation but the rooms are hugely overpriced in terms of value for money. The food & drinks are expensive for Indonesian prices (they rival Singapore/city prices). On arrival we had to request a room change as first room assigned to us smelt, was not clean and had broken blinds on every window. Also, we left a night early, in part because the facilities were so basic (not rustic, basic!) & in part because La Luna bar/restaurant area was closed for a private function. We were not informed of this when we booked or when we checked in. Even giving a full days notice, we were made to pay for the 2nd night stay. Disappointing.
relaxing ambience and nice and clean shoreline
staff and location was very good. Nothing
The staff were extremely helpful, pleasant to talk to, and willing to answer any questions regarding our stay at the hotel. The restaurant had an amazing and varied selection. The beaches were not populated at all, only a handful of people were around sunbathing, providing a truly secluded experience for us.
comfort and convenience; shuttle system, value for money
Swimming pool Breakfast Room Green and location Sea water Bathroom facilities (heater broken and needed replacement ) Food very expensive as per a Indonesian standards. Not many things to do, second day boring. For big families.
the distance (none!!!) to the beach rooms could use a bit of upgrading, especially the bathrooms
the fabulous location, super staff lovely food drinks too dear
Good location, nice beach. Furniture in chalets really old. Looked like duvet covers hadn't been changed in a long time. Curtains also not particulalrly clean. Activities available at a nearby hotel belonging to same group of hotels, but some distance away; had to wait for shuttle to take us there which wasn't very convenient. And you pay extra for every little thing that you want to do.
We enjoyed the proximity to the ocean and the clean beaches. We also liked the pool at the nearby Nirwana hotel. Beer was too expensive, The Saturday night party at the Beach Hotel was so loud we couldn't sleep.
White sand beach excellent for my son to play around as it is his first experience on the beach Timber floor at room need to be repaired and re-coated
Quiet & private Na
Great location, very well organised arrival and departure procedures. Food quality (I am not referring to the freshness) and choices in the restaurants well below anything I have ever experienced in any Hotel or Restaurant in South East Asia. Acomodation fair, but not at this price. No swimming pool, however one could walk few minutes to the other part of the Resort with a nice pool there. Beach lounges not adjustable - lay down or else...
The Spice Restaurant served delicious indian food, local cuisine and international food was also great. All restaurants throughout Nirwana Gardens were fantastic, each a different experience. Beach at the Resort was beautiful. We booked a garden view room but were still able to see the sea side, loved that.
Food standard low
I like the hotel is near the beach. The hotel may need some renovation especially for room and bathroom though they have to increase room charge.
Room was a junior suite , very good value in that it was very big, quiet and had beautiful view of the sea The public toilets were not clean , and the grounds were very unkempt. The mini zoo was atrocious - the animals filthy , neglected were only alive because some of the hotel guests ( including me ) fed the poor, starving animals ( which had no clean water , or water at all ) . So, if you go to this hotel - please feed the starving animals from your restaurant food - especially fruits and vegetables, and please give them water !
It was very good service, they were very nice to us. It was a nice area but it wasnt a good location if you want to know the culture or shopping, long way from everything and the food in the resturant were expensive. you have to pay for everything at the hotel, it is expensive. And if you need internet you have to pay for it, and that was also expensive.
