The beds were clean, they had an all-female floor, so we felt safer. The staff were also extremely helpful and tried their best to make us comfortable, even putting us into an empty room
Convenience, location and value for money
extremely disappointing after satying at Base Auckland Kitchen, TV room far too small for size of hostel
i liked the ease of booking and friendly staff the noise- having a 6am flight one morning, i wasnt impressed my the lack of sound proofing or even consideration of the on site club. i was on the 5th level and could still clearly hear the music. The bed was reeeeealy uncomfy and it wasnt as central to the shopping central and i was told
it was in a good spot that i could not chek in tall 2pm.but apart from that it was all good
location and ease of use. Friendly counter staff bit noisy and beds were a bit uncomfortable
Staff were courteous. Our booked room had not been vacated so they bumped us up to better rooms. Rooms were quite small. My room was supposed to have a TV. I asked for one but never got it. Quite a lot of noise late at night from a nearby pub.
Clean room, modern bathroom, Sky TV, and all for an excellent price. Highly recommended.
It was very clean and the shower was really good! Great location as well near to everything and the staff were really helpful and down to earth It was defiantly aimed at younger travelers as the bar next door was a little noisy, however I was staying on a Saturday night.
The location - being central was excellent - that and the free dinner that evening next door at Blend - that was an unexpected bonus. The frontline staff weren't good - spent ages waiting at reception to check-in whilst two of them "fluffed about" over one customer. We wanted to ask about the location of somewhere we needed to find but, frankly, couldn't be bothered waiting to get their attention. It felt as though they were "overdoing" the whole reception thing.
The free meal voucher and the two-for-one drinks at thebar next door. For a cold Wellington weekend there were insuffiencient bed clothes.
The room that we were in was right above a night club so returning from tea at about 10.30 we were hit with a boom boom boom so loud that you could feel your beds moving, so no sleep was had till the wee small hours, no good when you have a big day ahead. I think if you are going to put people in this room your price should reflect it, you could try putting a staff member up there for night and see how they feel in morning,
God atmosphere in bar The rates were too high. If I were staying another night, I could have got a private room in a 5 star hotel for 10 nzd cheaper, over two nights in a private room
location is perfect very dearty, don`t look under the bed!, very loud at night
