Executive lounge was great. Breakfast was great along with availability of wine and other drinks. Light food served in late afternoon was disappointing and was not what I expected. Food was more like snack sand very little choice.
Nice, pleasant and very accomodating staff, friendly to Americans. Clean rooms with US, UK and EU outlets (along with Swiss). Some rooms have a nice view of the river and the city/train station and park. Room was very clean and Poor parking facilities. Expensive and difficult to park a "normal" sized car. A 10-15 minute walk to eating areas. Thai restaurant was expensive and so-so.
Very clean, quiet to sleep, nice bathroom, good restaurant & bar Staff started cleaning from 9 o´clock... we were still sleeping - disturbing
i think i enjoyed living at marriot and the its location is very approachable and its a luxurious place to live .... i had booking btu when i came to hotel the room was not ready so i waited for somtime so this shouldnt be happened and a lack of management so try to look at this next time ....
Location to Central Zurich Somewhat pricey
Its luxury hotel, very nice river view, very good staff, quick chick in and chick out. Daily breakfast are the same no changes!!no multy choices
Clendiness, efficentcey etc was good. The room given was a in a corner with a proper view.
the service was very good and very good location and the room size is very good also
the Upgrade to a beautiful suite overlooking Zurich with a panoramic view. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.
Very friendly service unreasonable prices for food items ,Wine
smoking area house keeping is too early
location, location, location!!! The staff was very helpulf and accomodating, but not necessarily effective in solving request. The restaurant (King's Cave) was excellent, and the service top notch. the A/C did not work well, and the solution I got when I asked for somebody to get it fixed was to open the window. The parking although available, was not necessarily very user friendly as you need to get somebody from the staff to go down with you to get your car in and out of the garage.
Restaurant and Bar, Knowledgeable and helpful staff, central location of the hotel for restaurants, shopping, sightseeing and transportation around the city. small rooms, weak air conditioning (more like climate control, only).
The hotel was conveniently located near the train station. The bar had a great pianist/vocalist. It was easy to walk anywhere in the city from the hotel. Breakfast was a bit expensive.
Really great location in Zurich. Can walk to most of the sites or grab a tram right out front. We had a junior suite and the size and layout were great. Very helpful staff. No complaints. Would definitely return.
location, good restaurant downstairs
Air conditioning very bad , also It is at a very noisey corner so the windows must always be closed !!
it is conveniently located, but rather old, albeit well maintained no decent parking facility
Location. Next to main train station and river. None
Location is perfect. Close to the station, the shops and business centers.
very nice location
Location and staff. both terrific.
Noisy group in next room kept me awake, and required badgering of reception to get this
Leoneck is a very well located hotel. Very easy to get to from Central Station. I will definitely stay again. Rooms smells bad.
Excellent location near the Central Train Station (5 min. by foot) and city center. Tram to airport just at hotel's front door. Big room, friendly staff, reasonable price (for Zurich). I'll recommend this hotel to my friends.
Location Beds were absolutely terrible. Pillows were terrible. Rooms were incredibly small. Location was average. Security was questionable with their room key system..... despite all this it was still almost $200/night.
location to bahnhof inexperienced front office staff
The restorant crazy Cow The location even it is close to the train station is up hill. The noise from the tram you can not sleep with the window slightly open
central location, reasonable price noise from the street, noise in the morning from the bells of the nearby church
Close to transport and facilities Breakfast was inadequate and very expensive
Excellent location for a meeting at the railway station for me. Excellent situation for shopping for my wife. Windows (Room 310) are poorly insulated.
cozy style of room with a balcony Poor breakfast
Easy access to trams, helpful staff, rooms all had pleasant verandas
Walkable distance from the train station if you don't mind walking up stairs. Easy walk to the lake (approx 15 minutes). Appreciated the USB charging port in the room so that I didn't need to rely on my own power adapter. Room a tad on the small size making it a bit tight to walk around the bed.
Hotel Continental Zurich was a superb experience for us. It was within walking distance of the station and an excellent tram service and also the old town and virtually everything one would want to see and do in Zurich. We had a lovely, quiet, well appointed room, immaculately presented. There is an excellent bar, elegantly appointed, the whole hotel is a very pleasant place to stay. We enjoyed a very pleasant room service dinner one evening. There was one small glitch in checking out, the room rates didn't coincide with the confirmation we had received from Bookings.com and the hotel. It was politely explained (and immediately corrected) as a computer error because there were room rate changes over the two nights we stayed.
The room was spacious and very clean and the hotel's location close to the main city center is great. Friendly staff and inhouse car parking. Breakfast was not included in room price and was far too expensive.
Great central location. Staff very friendly and helpful with directions. Our room is fairly small but very comfortable. Super comfortable bed, bedding and pillows. Quiet, no noise at all. Breakfast was included in our stay and was very tasty and high quality. The breakfast staff were sincere as well. Parking was an extra charge but that is the case with all the hotels. It was underground so you could park and have complete peace of mind. The main station is very close and is open Sundays also if you need anything or want a place to eat. Needs a greater mini bar selection.
Every thing OK
We have been traveling for 5 weeks and this was the nicest hotel we stayed in (better than the luxury Hilton in Rome by far). The rooms were comfortable and luxurious without being "fru fru" (excessively fancy with too much decoration, too many pillows, etc.). The rooms had everything we needed, presented in a useful, thoughtful way.
Easy to find the location, near the central station, near Centrum The hotel didn't release deposit on my credit card
the hotel very good located and nice also only 5 minutes walk to the main station , everything was good . the bed mattress was soft and we could not sleep at the first night , we asked the housekeeping to change it to us and they manage to but a wooden board underneath it to support the matters than it is OK . so all in all we did enjoy our stay .
Very small bathroom, strange smell in the room
Very comfortable and quiet. Excellent quality and variety of the products offered in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc). Location was excellent for those who prefer a quiet place but at a walking distance of the lively old town in Zurich. Everyone of the staff was extremely helpful and amiable. Comfortable garage. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Temperature of shower water doesn't stay the same.
A very pleasant stay, highly recommended. None
Brilliant location, very good service, welcoming staff, comfortable rooms, free internet, close to the main railwaystation, wi-fi connection
The staff at reception were really fantastic. They were very helpful, and resolved any problems we had right away. Also, the breakfast was terrific.
Location is great.
the location is very strategic. very near to old town and main station
Close to central train station small room
close to my conference site and train station; clean; good breakfast; staff helpful when approached, spoke good English; basic necessities were well met (hangers, shelves for clothes, TV) very small rooms, stripped down--not even a scatter rug on the wooden floor; no iron/ironing board in room
We arrived from USA 10am, They allowed us to check into our room about 11:30 (once it was cleaned). So far we have stayed in 3 hotels in Switzerland. The Britol was the only hotel that we had to pay for internet services. The reason I am doing this survey is because the hotel we are currently staying in has free wireless otherwise I would not take the time if it was on my dime and when I get back home I would be too busy to complete the survey. Based on having to pay for wireless I will look for another hotel that has free wireless.
Location Noisy bed
ComfortaBLE beds Would like tea and coffee available for guests free. Especially if waking earlier
Quiet, easy access to the city, very helpful staff who could speak English as well as German, clean comfortable room. The artwork on the walls of the room were nice, as well. Internet access too slow. Connection was plenty fast, but service provider (outside hotel) very slow.
the architectonik emviroment the door of the toilet should close better :)
The modern Swiss look and feel of the room The distance away from the happening area of Zurich. Although the walk was only 15 minutes, I would have liked to stay closer.
the breakfast menu rather modest facilities, very basic rooms
Good value for money, interesting "Zurich historic personality concept". Room showers may not be comfortable for basketball team members to stay.
Staff were courteous and helpful. Room was well appointed. Close proximity to centre of Zurich with Tram stop almost immediately outside.
No free internet access.
We enjoyed the location of the hotel near many of the things we wanted to do. The hill wasn't a problem since the tram was so close. The noise from the street was a small issue during the night; however, not too bad to cause us not to come back.
Clean, design hotel. You have to move by tram. It is not very near to the center.
Staff were very helpful and friendly
clean, efficient, well-sited.
Very friendly and helpful staff and pretty good value as everything in Zurich is so expensive. I was given a huge room which was very quiet and airconditioned. The location is a little out of the centre, limiting your restaurant options, but the tram stop is just outside and will get you to the town centre in 10 minutes.
Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delivered to your room. Great shower and very helpful staff. Comfy bed. Very close to tram stop. Lack of staff in the evening
Apartment / suite style hotel. Excellent staff. All was good
If you require a grand hotel with impressive expansive lobby and liveried doormen to acknowledge your arrival and impress your business associates and friends, stay somewhere else. EMA House is not the place for you. By booking ahead for a couple of days during the first half of January, I stayed in a suite that was spacious and very comfortable in a modern building. The hotel is all suites but no restaurant. However, breakfast is served to order and very abundant and promptly as well. I did not use the kitchen or the extra guest or children’s bedroom but they can be booked if required. Lots of space well laid out in entrance area, living room, bedroom and bath. Plenty of hanging closet space and drawers provided in built in cabinets as well as a safe big enough for my huge laptop computer. A couple of attractive stylish furniture pieces and a large work table and desk perfect for working. Good security awareness and value for money. Hard wired internet service and direct dialed telephone service at favorable rates is suitable for business people and the very well organized staff is prepared to assist you in any way possible. Excellent communications twenty meters from the #11 or #14 tram stop or within a fifteen minute walk to the main station for trains that will bring you into the city center from the airport or other points of origin.
the room is clean & very comfortable. you can have breakfast at your room. The breakfast is good.
Food Room design. No water in shower
Feel this could be very unique category of the hotel with all suite rooms at the reasonable price. It is located near from Bekenhof tram station(2nd from Central station). The room is extremely well furnished with very modern atmosphere. No hotel staff is available after 2100.
Excellent location, personal attention, large rooms, well equipped, a fair price. Lack of Mobile Internet, bed not comfortable enough
The location and the new Town house extension is very nice. The pictures on the website dont represent the true size of the rooms. We were not given correct breakfast times when we arrived. We were told breakfast finished at 10.30am each weekday morning. In fact it was 10am.
Interior was nice Not comfortable because I heared snore and coughs from the next door all night. And equipped shampoo was bad quality.
Staff wonderful, room lovely, food excellent. We liked it all.
Cleanliness and peace and quiet. The evening bar/restaurant staff were not friendly or helpful - were rude actually and should be avoided!
The design and quality of the hoel room interior, flat screen tv on swivel, large single bed, nearly a queen size, glass bathroom scales Although a non-smoker room, and definitely no cliniging smoke residue to furniture and textiles, faint smoke traces of unknown origin were continuously in the air, possibly from other floors or the clima system (which was switched off). I am very sensitive to this and it gave me lingering nausea during my sleep.
Free internet and 1 glass a beer :), exelent.
pleasant hotel staff room are extremly small, without plugs for charging laptop
Easy to access. Friendly staffs
I loved the clean room, flawless lighting, and the functional internet. It's 5 minutes from the Hauptbahnhof by tram, and you can reach the city center after a 15 mins walk. I don't think there were any fitness facilities and the bathroom was a bit too small for my taste, but for short stays it's alright.
price and location
The hotel was located close to the Tram station. The room was very clean. The tv had mostly German channels a few french channels and only 1 English channel. The walls were a bit thin, so at times you could hear the tv from the neighboring room.
Nothing. Would not stay there again. Too much road noise from all the tram and buses passsing by at all hours of the night. Small room and next to elevator.
Location and cleanliness(Just opposite to Tram station), Cheap and very best You could hear sound of Tram.
great location, design is very clean breakfest is not included in the price of the room and price is a bit high for that
The top floor room was spacious enough for a family of four, with a lovely view, modern decor and comfy beds. The tram stop was very handy - we left the car at the hotel all weekend and explored the town on trams, boats, even a funicular, all included in the tickets we got from the hotel reception.
I was OK with the hotel in general. It's nice.
parking free of charge. closness to city center
Staff was friendly. Rooms were extremely small!
Room was simple, yet clean and tidy, with TV and AC. Bathroom was clean and shower was OK. Breakfast, pretty good and personnel were polite and helpful, with good knowledge of English. Free parking is also plus. Overall fairly good value for the money.
Absolutely painless to find when coming from the airport or train. About 25 minute walk to the city or 10 minutes by tram. Really a pleasant place to stay with friendly staff, bicycles to rent.
I had a car so it took me 5 minutes to downtown Zurich. The hotel & rooms are very clean and mini bars are available and equipped! (not common in 4 star hotels and under) No in-room tea & coffee
Clean and cosy rooms, friendly staff, convenient location, and good breakfast Bathroom is small. The trams running past the hotel is a bit noisy at night, but one gets used to it quickly
Nice hotel and very well located. Good price and great breakfeast
Location is good, and price is OK.
comfortable room - friendly reception staff - really good breakfast buffet - close to the city center just bathroom was not too clean
the staff were excellent very helpful and friendly, very good location a short walk from the old town or only 3 stops on the tram the hotel was being renovated while we were there, there was no disruption to our room but there was a bit of a smell of paint & wet paint in the corridors. There were a lot of work men around drillling & hammering etc...in the mornings, but by the time our stay was over most of the work was complete.
clean, well located the noise - from the hall and other rooms nearby + staff started cleaning the hall/rooms around 7h30/8h in the morning very noisily although I had a sign do not disturb in the door.
very expensive for a small room without tea and coffee making facilities continental breakfast good no tea coffee making facilities. room very small for money
The hotel was clean and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. We would enjoy staying at the Rex again.
Zurich is extremely expensive in everything. The Rex is no exception, but fair priced compared to other options.
It was close to downtown area. It was too noisy to sleep and the staff leaves during the night and does not return until 6am so setting up a 5am wake up call was difficult
Good location next to eth (Zurich Tencnical University) and easy access to downtown by walking or a couple of tram stops. Quiet residential type location. Side patio off the resturaunt/lobby to take coffee or smoke. Nice main room sitting area by the reception with books and antiques. Good feel to it. Rooms and bathrooms are not big but not terribly small. Expensive, as usual with Zurich Hotels.
* good location * parking at an affordable price * quiet a rejuvenating cure of the rooms would make no harm
Please write at least 15 words Excellent service, nice room., nothing fancy. It was just right for my needs during my stay in Zurich.
i was in room 43 and the internet connection was very poor. i could only connect intermittently.
Attractive character, friendly staff, excellent location (for me, right next to ETH) - the lounge/breakfast room is very attractive. Also quiet. Despite my negative remarks below, I'm happy staying at Sunnehus and will return. In the room, lack of business facilities - power sockets, wifi - and also there is not a very comfortable chair. It was not easy either to work or relax in the room itself.
Close to my business location and to directly tram line no. 10 to/from airport. The room was at the street level, infront the hotel entrance. So, my feeling was very good and the windows couldn't be open during the night.
Close to ETH, and free-of-charge parking. Breakfast would be better if more food optional.
quiet location, convenient access by public transport, friendly and helpful staff, clean and nicely furnished room the toilet for my single room was down the corridor
It has a beautiful lounge with lovely paintings and breakfast is excellent The room is very well kept with a beautiful outlook on a garden. The staff is very helpful. prices are high compared to similar accomodations in continental Europe and the US, but ofcourse Switzerland and Zurich are very pricy and compared to luxury hotels in the city the Sunnehus offers more attractive rates.
I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, central, beautiful city views, friendly staff, comfortable room, priced reasonably which included free internet and breakfast - perfect.
Convenient location for city sightseeing, friendly service
Very close to station, beakfast was included
I liked the location close to the main train station The carpets in room are badly stained in places and need replacing or cleaned. The in room chairs also are dirty. The breakfast could be changed to make it more interesting and apprealing such as a buffet. Its mainly a transit hotel, and popular with business people mid week
* Excellent location, just cross the road by foot from Zurich HB and reach the hotel, * Staffs are very polite & friendly, ready to serve & reply perfectly all the time. * For Indian, Pakistani people one Resturent "Bombay Karachi" is just adjusent to the hotel * Only need to add BreakFast items little more, like one Boil-Egg, Banana, Apple etc
Value for money, proximity to Bahnhof,
Location is very good, staff at the reception desk is very kind and ready to help Noise during night was rather bad
The staff was wonderful and the location was excellent, less thab a ten minute walk from the train station. The breakfast was only drinks and bread/rolls.
The location is excellent. The place is clean but old.
Prompt check-in Bed-bugs!
Quite, comfortable, with friendly staff and convenient city location. small breakfast selection
access to public transportation
friendliness of the staff not really
I like the fact that the tram stops exaclty outside the hotel, so it is very easy to go either to the center of Zurich or to the airport.
Clean rooms, good service expensive
Hotel staff No
Breakfast Aircon not very efficient
the breakfast is good. the location is very good gives you the opportunity to go around easily. there was only one thing that i could think about : no kettle, coffee or tea in the room. these days where almost everywere one can have it in the room we missed it.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Decor and artwork in room and lobby excellent. Appreciated having fridge. Breakfast the best for our needs of all the hotels we used. Room a little tight and knocked our head on sloping ceiling in top floor room, but room bright and comfortable with view of city. We were on 6th floor but lift went only to 5th floor and we had to drag suitcases up after tiring train ride. Once settled in we were OK. An electric jug to make tea in room would have been good, but we later discovered there was a courtesy water heater downstairs.
The room is perfect, quiet and clean. The staff at the desk and in the breakfast room (Frau Vesna) are excellent. Food is very good, hotel is perfect location, close to the Hauptbahnhof and shopping, we could jump on the tram and go everywhere. loved it, Sandy Keays
