Pro: "I am frequent air traveler that logs about 100k miles a year and this is the first time I felt like writing a review about an airline. I traveled with my 4 year old son on this trip. Excellent service, high quality food options and flight amenities. I really enjoyed the food as did my son. My son left his backpack behind on the first leg and the airline staff retreived it and delivered it to the lounge in less than 15 minutes. I was astounded and had almost given up on seeing the bag again, given my experience with other airlines in the past. This is going to be airline of choice for future trips!"
Pro: "My checked luggage bag was damaged. I noticed the damage only after I I reached home. However, when I reported Cathay Pacific baggage staff were very helpful and professional. I know several airlines who hide behind bureaucratic procedures to stonewall customers. CP is not one of them. Excellent service, before, after and during the flight."

They changed my teket from turkish airline to Saudi airline 4.00pm, That's mean no different. 7. I ask about my baggage in turkish airline deck they said don't worry every thing will be okay. 8. I ask for hotel they said you have to make visa cost 60 dollars and you know I have to pay taxi and Chang money... Pla Pla, Actually this is not respecting and very bad organization. 9. I didn't make visa and stay from that time until 3.pm in primum lungs. 10. I went to Saudi airline deck to take my boarding. 11. They said you have extra baggage, I explain them that I payed already to turkish airline. 12. They said you have to go back to turkish airline deck about this extra kg's. 13. I did going back to them they said we cannot do anything, leave one bag here and we send the other one later. Actually this stupid airline and this stupid employee's dealing with me like a stupid, all my time I walk every where in that stupid airport, they just gives me orders and I have to follow like it was my mistake. 14. I showed my alfursan membership to Saudi airline deck and they helped me. 15. When I arrived to Riyadh my baggage wasn't there, this is mean that this stupid turkish people that the have to work on barbcue and haircut, but airports jop needs professional people. That's was my first and last flight with them."

Pro: "The whole experience was great. After an excellent meal which included drinks before and an excellent wine selection the flt attendants came through and made up a bed for you. This included a cover for the seat, a blanket and a big pillow. As opposed to United where you have to stick your feet in a little cubby the Turkish plane has just an open bench which opens to provide storage and gives ample foot room. I have never slept so much on a flt. Also he bathrooms are much more spacious than others."

Kontra: ". I was shocked to see social distancing was not implemented with no seats apart and I was in the middle of four seats. If the journey is as important as the destination, then it already failed the minute I was seated in a very intimate setting alongside strangers and seeing the economy class fully booked. The airline defended this by saying they have special economy seats but I complained that this is not equitable since the seats are limited and not everyone could afford an upgrade. Even if they could, the passengers would still be seated side by side and the total number of passengers aboard a tight and enclosed space or load factor is still very high. The airline’s policy was so inconsistent with the very rigid rules of the different government agencies upon disembarkation."

Pro: "I was very lucky to have two spaces beside me so plenty of room however I know this is not always the case. This plaine was modern with a good selection of inflight entertainment. The on board staff were extreamly courteous and helpful. Food was okay was a good selection of beverages on this flight. You are provided with inlight comforts like blackets etc if you wished to sleep -"

Pro: "Honestly one of the best flights I had compared to my previous flight over from Hong Kong with same airline. Plane was newer with entertainment module with a huge list of movies and shows to choose from. food was the best airplane meal I had ever had. Had no issues during baggage or boarding,"
Kontra: "Only thing I didn't like was that checking in online was impossible because I was booked from another airline (air Canada). I wish they could co-ordinate to make online booking available even though we were booked through another airline just so we had a better choice for our seats."

Kontra: "Bad snacks, very limited baverage served. Limited selection of movies. very very limited TV shows. Almost no music to my taste, need to upgrade their music options!!"

Kontra: "Flight attendant was rude in general (serving food, drinks, answering questions), he skipped rows when giving hot towels (I wasn't served a hot towel). In-flight entertainment: limited movie selection, even more limited tv shows selection. Music section was very poor, it needs more selection with variaty, known artists, more radio channels. And music tracks should be in a tracklist form with song information, not only 1 hour-long tracks of back to back music (with no info). Meals - Mains were ok, deserts were terrible in both of my flights. Snacks were also bad, a scone and beef and cheese sandwich. Very blend, white bread only and oily. We weren't served enough bevarages, so oily and high-carb foods made me very thursty. No water fountains, it'd be great to have some around since staff does not give enough beverage and I was forced to chuck my water before boarding the airplane (the water I bought in the airport after passport check!!!!!!!) It was extremely cold."

Kontra: "More often than not, Philippine Airlines has been our airline of choice because we found their rates to be fair and flights direct and easy. Despite the fact that the PAL terminal was pretty poor, and the food on board was never really decent, we remained loyal to PAL for quite a few years. On our way back to Melbourne from Manila on June 17, Saturday, Colin, Hendrix and I were awaiting boarding at gate 10 for flight PR 209. Having flown with PAL from Melbourne to Manila (as well as with another airline from Manila to Manchester and back), we understood that the usual procedure was to allow passengers with infants to board first. Due to the lack of order (there were no clear queues in sight), Colin decided to ask 3 different PAL personnel if there was, indeed, a priority queue for people travelling with infants. ALL THREE PERSONNEL ASSURED US THAT THEY WERE NOT YET BOARDING AND THAT WE WOULD BE CALLED UPON PRIOR TO THEM LETTING ANYONE ELSE ON THE PLANE. 2 minutes later, a PAL personnel appears with signage that reads certain row numbers and begins to call out to ALL PASSENGERS FOR BOARDING. Colin swiftly rushes to the front (me and baby in tow) and demands an explanation as to why we were told one thing but are watching them act upon something completely different. I wish I was joking when I tell you that the personnel just stared blankly at us and then carried on checking boarding passes. No apologies, no explanation offered. As soon as we boarded, Colin turned to the first flight steward he saw and asked for a complaint form and told this could ONLY be done online, to which Colin requested we be given the email/web address upon take off. The seats assigned to us were on the right most side of the aircraft, a window and a middle seat. As Colin was placing our bags in the overhead compartment, the steward called to Colin from across the aisle (past the 3 seats in the middle of the plane) to introduce the purser, Jolly Bello. Please note this was happening while people were also trying to get past and get to their seats -and Mr. bello called out across the aisle, "I heard you have a complaint??" to which Colin, baffled, replied "yes do you want to come over here so we aren’t shouting over these people?". Colin yet again told this purser what the complaint was about and was asked (verbatim) "so would you like to make a complaint against THEM?" Would the correct protocol not be to 1. Apologise for any confusion, miscommunication or poor service, 2. Take some responsibility and acknowledge the complaint and 3. Maybe come approach us AFTER TAKE OFF and not while everyone is trying to board the plane? We are no longer choosing Philippine Airlines."
