I had booked the flights a year in advance yet we were told that because the flight was fully booked and the weather conditions were not good, the WE would be bumped from the flight, our bags were lost, we were told the wrong gate to go to

Slept on floor at airportPro: Flight Lufthansa 0860 from Munich to TA cancelled due to weather, thunderstorm. Flight 2393 from Basel to Munich took off late, circled for an hour, then on tarmac nearly an hour till bus came. Lufthansa offered no hotels, just pillows and blankets, water and crackers. In line two and a half hours to rebook next morning Munich to Vienna Lufthansa 2326. No sleep on floor. Flight Vienna to Tel Aviv Austrian 0857 was late. Landed in Tel Aviv and my checked suitcase from original Basel to TA didn’t arrive, though checked twice with personnel that it was switched to my updated flight. Waited an hour for it to arrive Lufthansa from Munich. Public transport ended Friday due to Sabbath and paid 150 shekels for cab, about $45.
checkin process was horribleKontra: We arrived at the Bologna airport three hours prior to our flight and still ended up waiting in line for over 90 minutes to check in and check our bags. Signs and customer service were poor.
Hand baggage issuePro: It was okKontra: I had 2 hand baggages that exceeded the storage compartments above our seats. I was told by the hostess that they were not acceptable for their company. I told them the size was compliant with Lufthansa and so the hostesses strapped my luggage on an empty seat and did not tell us where (we found out later on our own), and kept making remarks like if we were sneaking an illegal baggage. I told her I bought the ticket with Lufthansa and the size is good. She said we have smaller airplanes. I said however it's up to Lufthansa to update the size according to their low-cost partners. End of the story, the next flight we took from Munich to London was with Lufthansa and my 2 hand baggages fit perfectly in their storage compartments. So, I think Air Dolomiti staff should be trained to be nice to Lufthansa customers as we are not used to low-cost mini airplanes and it is not our fault that Lufthansa decides to replace our flight with a low-cost partner. On top of all we got 45 minutes late!!! So they needed to apologize to us not vice versa.
