Kontra: We were told luggage to be collected at vasco de gama. It was unloaded at Bangalore. We then had 13 hours stuck in the airport with our luggage. Had our luggage not been unloaded, as expected, we would have a bit more freedom to move about. My luggage tickets had come off so I had to re-check in in. They then gave me the wrong labels saying i had to check in at internationals. This caused terrible chaos and they did not seem to understand when I tried to explain that going from Bangalore to vasco de gama was domestic. Other than that a pleasant journey.

Kontra: No inflight entertainment. Old plane - no facility to charge phones, not even a bag to keep things. flight crew could smile more.

Kontra: The business seat was not comfortable. They serviced food from midnight until 1:30 am on a night flight. With the lights on, you cannot really sleep. The sleep mask provided can’t cover the light properly. It was just a horrible flight.

Kontra: I didn't like flight from Del to LHR as my seat didn't have the light switch working. So I had to ask stewardess 4 helkp 7 she forgot. asked for 2nd time some body else switched on from cabin. to switch off to sleep had to call back staff. pl repair it.

Perhaps they just were tired. The food was terrible despite the airline from nation of exqisite cuisine. The enternainment screens did not respond or work even with the remote. There should be better maintainance.

Kontra: Had booked wheelchair for my parents. The wheelchair staff left them in mid way on both sides. They were made to wait for almost 30 Min plus before we made a formal complaint and he came back. This is worst ever service.

Kontra: The cabin was freezing. People were wearing jackets, hoodies, scarves and hats but the flight attendants didn't do anything about that. The disastrous Rayanair at least realised how that was making them burn more fuel and now they are letting passengers melt with heat. When will Air India learn this?

Internal Flight Air India Delhi - Bombay
Pro: Having just got off the dreamliner, I may be somewhat biased... apologies
Kontra: This plane was as old as me....I know it was an internal flight and these planes just go back and forth without any TLC inbetween. It's a business after all. Short 3.5 hour flight. The plane was so worn out, seat padding, there was was none, as it had seen better days, the covers were no longer covering the seats as the padding had disintegrated somewhere and were just hanging onto the seats for dear life!!!, it felt dirty and unkept, it smelled like an old toilet also. The fittings, trays where you could store your stuff was dirty also I didn't even eat the food, I was paranoid. Felt totally uncomfortable on this flight , sorry Air India but you need to have some standards on short flights despite what price you put on the seats. This was part of my long haul flight from Sydney to Mumbai which has marred my experience with you.
Emergency Exit Seats - Dreamliner
Pro: I really enjoyed these seats, my only fault was there is nowhere to put anything but will know next time, the legroom was great, albeit right by the toilets it did not bother me too much, I knew when the toilets were empty and I could just get up and go.There was no real pooling around the toilet area, at least not when I was awake. Flight time 12 hours 35 mins Flying Sydney to Delhi, I found the crew member for our section most willing and helpful, few issues with the fold away screen, not staying upright and not wanting to twist and be flexible to let you out of your seat! As an International passenger I should have had a landing card but the crew member did not give me one as I was travelling onto Mumbai where on the internal/domestic flight they do not issue one so I had to complete one at Immigration...(that's another story!)
Kontra: I feel the toilets could be serviced on a more regular basis. With 250 plus passengers and I don't know how many toilets maybe 8, they certainly need regular servicing. Towards the end of the journey they were starting to smell and became very untidy with paper being trailed around the cabin on the bottom of peoples shoes. Maybe a two line guide on the door for passengers who do not take notice of the green and red lights for vacant and engaged. I saw many people just standing there waiting outside the toilet for someone to come out before they went in. Other passengers savvy to this just jumped the queue in front of them thinking they may just be stretching their legs.

Kontra: Not enough blanket for passenger , but the cabin crew has increased the cabin temperature to make up for that. They should prepare enough however. no entertainment whatsoever for the 6hr flight.Didnt like the food.
Kontra: For the price I paid for this trip, I think it’s acceptable and I will fly them again in the future. On time flights, polite cabin crew. Don’t expect over the top services . Limited choices in in flight entertainment system. I’m not used to Indian food so can’t comment much. Didn’t quite like it.

Kontra: Entertainment didn’t work in our seats. Staff were quite rude when asking for a third beer and refused to allow any more. In eight hours, that’s the first time I have experienced this on any airline. I am a frequent flyer with Qatar and ba and have flown long haul on most airlines. My two colleagues also had the same treatment and they turned there nose up at my Indian wife. Very dissapointed and I will be writing a complaint in person to the airline.

Kontra: Unless AirIndia improves it’s carrier it’s question of time! >50% TVs were nonfunctional! Seat covers are torn at places! Food just ok but ordinary! Overall, one is unimpressed!
Kontra: 3.20pm flight took off at 10.20pm. Sure, the issues were due to bad weather that affected all airlines at Goa airport, but the other airlines recovered as soon as the airport was reopened around 6.30pm. Air India didn’t have a plane show up till 9pm. They even allowed the 6.40pm flight take off before the 3.20pm flight. No announcements letting passengers know what the deal was except telling us that there was a delay. I had to use apps to get the information I needed.

Kontra: Check in procedure was extremely slow and the person seemed rather cold. No special checked baggage allowance for First Class passenger. BA allows 3 bags. Would have been nice to see some leniency or formal change in their baggage policy.

Biggest insult to Indian aviation services
Kontra: Would be better if no breakfast provided, catering needs heavy reforms. No refreshing towels and No water provided when asked for several times. The staff /crew is very forgetful and needs to be reminded several times. They do not attend the toilets very regularly to check if they are clean. In total, the staff is very lazy and wet towels or tissue and other refreshment services are very limited. worst then some domestic flights I have traveled with.

Kontra: The crews were not helpful. I ordered 3 kids'meal for my children but turned up we had only 2. The crew asked me to wait in the first place but later no kid's meal came and they didn't even give me any explanation. The choice of movies was also very limited.
