Pro: Having requested assistance due to breaking my leg, the service at Heathrow, Charlotte and JFK with American Airlines was excellent.
Kontra: Finnair are hellbent on trying to sell goods and continuously interrupt the movies with their confounded announcements every 15 minutes very annoying. If i wanted to buy something its in their mag and as a regional flight it should include some form of nourishment other than juice or coffee one off, tight fisted and not a descent selection of food either
Pro: Fell asleep and didn’t even realise. Finnair is very friendly and the staff are super nice. I was very thirsty and asked for two cups of water instead of one and the lady was not hesitant to give me two cups in quick succession. Very good air company
Kontra: Nothing really too bad, you get what you expected. May of been nice to have a free sandwich as it’s a non stop flight - this is because Lufthansa has one stopover and offers a free sandwich and drink.

Kontra: The transfer was a disaster. We had to go through the security check (even though the transfer was in the Schengen area) and almost missed our connecting flight.

Kontra: Endless waiting and lost luggage. Excuse was unpredicted weather conditions. It was snowing in Finland so they had to clear the Ice from the planes.. Snowing in Finland? How uncommon is that during December? I actually think most of this is poor ground handling In Helsinki.

first Finnair flight
Pro: reasonable leg room comfortable seat
Kontra: No choice of food and service was quite slow but meal was fine the breakfast was ghastly a continental option would be much better
Pro: It was on one of their newer planes which meant that we had decent comfort and entertainment!
Kontra: The seats were staggered between the middle and sides, so my family was eventually split across two rows. I hadn't expected that.
Pro: New plane, good food choices.
Kontra: Plane could use a deep clean. Entertainment choices were limited in terms of latest blockbusters.

Pro: Boarding was ok in Dublin, even though they habitually use one of the poor gates with inadequate seating and entry to the plane from the tarmac, not via a bridge. queing and check in were well managed however.
Kontra: Disembarked at Helsinki unto a bus. Despite landing roughly on time, this antiquated procedure effectively made the flight 20 mins late, as that’s when the passengers got to the terminal.

Kontra: Website is very poor and ended up making booking through call centre and paying double what website was offering. Food & drink is expensive. In flight wi-fi expensive.
Flight delayed, otherwise ok
Pro: The staff was professional and friendly. The waits were short on boarding.
Kontra: The flight was over an hour late. The baggage reclaim belt broke down, which delayed our arrival at the target even more.

Pro: Brand new A350 business class was excellent - far better than tired old BA planes. Great IFE and food and beverage service. Excellent cabin crew aervice. Overall, thoroughly good from start to finish (Finnish?).

I've enjoyed my very first flying experience with Finnair very much!
Pro: The general entertainment/informative systems ran perfectly smooth without hiccups! Cabin crews were all pleasant to everyone onboard and I didn't feel as tiring after my 10.5 hours flying time as compared with other airlines!
Kontra: The pre-booked in-flight WIFI service can hardly say it's working as the connection speed was way too slow to perform any general tasks and that's ashamed as I paid premium charges for that and didn't expect that I couldn't use the service at last

Would love to see that improved . . I think you have to cater for all tastes . . . and that definitely was not the case on my flight
The flight was not Finnair but American - as were
Kontra: I booked this trip thinking it was with a European carrier - I had specifically wanted to avoid an American carrier. I was unable to confirm my flight online and had to ring because at NO POINT was I sent info that it was AA and not Finnair. I was charge almost $60 for this service because I did not have the right references sent with my confirmation email. T he seats were cramped and uncomfortable, I was unable to pick my seat on any flight and despite my request could not change it. Boarding at Chicago was a farce, none of the ground crew seemed to be in charge and we barely started boarding with 20 mins to takeoff. Needless to say the flight left late and we had to wait to take off, and of course had to wait to land in London.

Kontra: There was a lack of air and no possibility for individual airing your seat, during our flight we had to stand in the back because we were almost passing out of overheating 30 Celsius plus heat in our row. We asked for a cooler temperature and only the last 20 minutes it started cooling but then to ice cold. My audio was not working properly, at max it was still unclear. We have had better flight experiences.
