Diabolical service from kayak

Kontra: The fact that I hired a car through kayak who booked it at a non existent pick up point and even when supplied with that evidence from the car hire company refused to listen or do anything about it.

They forced me to buy an extra insurance

Pro: I am quite disappointed because when I got there in rush because I was by myself with my three kids in need of water and going to the toilets they took advantage of me. There was a girl at the reception that told me that I need to pay an extra insurance. I explained her that I was supposed to pay from my booking receipt pay 1,029.33 dollars but she told me that I had to protect my kids and she wanted to charge pay 2,500 dollars. When I told her that it was too Expensive for me and that I did not had that money she said that she was going to talk to the manager and when she was coming back she said that they were about to close the office and the best price she could give me was 2,021.40 dollars. Because I had my kids with me that wanted to go I was forced to give her my credit card and when they gave me the car the tank was empty and she took me to fill it up. After she gave me the receipt and I was leaving towards Orlando from Miami I realised that I was right in telling her that I was not supposed to pay the extra insurance costs because as a matter of fact on the Receipt there was written that the Insurance was an "Optional Products". I could not go back because the office was closed and I was already in the motorway. When I returned the car the girl was not there but I talked to the manager Mr. Jesse Mesa that he promised me he was going to talk to her and and take care of my refund by sending me an email which I haven't received yet.

Kontra: - Expensive with lots of hidden costs (insurance, tax etc etc). - I was supposed to pay 1,029.33 dollars and I spent double 2,021.40 dollars for an extra insurance I did not ask

Nothing like we asked for and extra fees and charg

Pro: Steering worked and tires were in good condition

Kontra: Wasn't the car we ordered, as we asked for a economic sedan we were handed a ford transit commercial vehicle and unable to change. We studied the car as we had factored in the mileage and costs this car blew costs and fuel consumption out of the water. We wanted a car with fold down seats in the back this wasn't available. The Car was dirty with brown stains all over the seats. The car wasn't completely full with gas on pick up, yet we have to make sure it is on return. "Oil Change Required" warning on the dash all trip, as we checked the oil it was low and had to fill up (our cost) as we were driving long distance. Additional insurance costs we weren't advised about before charged.
