Portaventura Hotel Gold River - Theme Park Tickets Included

Close proximity to theme park. Children enjoyed scrummy pancakes at breakfast.

The location to the park was nice as you are next to the Far West within Port Aventura. The resort was beautifuly decorated as a old far west town and there are many nice places, the swiming pools were nice. The hotel entrance was quite tasteful. The Opera restaurant and particularly a waitresse, was really lovely and gave an excellent service within the resort. The little shop facility is nice, and the large cafeteria has good varied food. The rooms were pretty although small.

I found that the reception was very disorganised and slow, we waited there for a long time and there were only few people working there to cater at peak hours. At entry time. I walked in on the cleaner and found our bed pillows had been thrown on the floor while she was making our beds. Which I was quite disgusted to see. The rooms had no soap and you had to keep asking for supplies. The room was tiny and the wardrobe had no spece for a family for a 4 star hotel there could be more details and for the price too. The staff at the Bar lounge late in the evening were quite unfriendly and quite rushed in their service.

It was very close to the Park which was the only reason we stayed there.

I felt this was not a four star hotel, at best it was three star. the dining experience in particular was more like an institution that a Four Star Hotel The furnishing in the bedroom was also very basic ie. one locker between 4 people. My children however were delighted with the experience and that was shy we stayed.

The location, style and breakfast can be considerd as average or above. The rooms were also comfortable.
