Situated seafront on Praia dos Artistas, a long-time favorite among locals, Porto Suites Natal Hotel places you on Natal's more traditionally popular expanse of beach. Praia dos Artistas joins Praia do Meio, just north, with Praia de Areia Preta to the south. Along this stretch of coastline, you can join the ranks of sunbathers and watch surfers catch warm Atlantic waves. A 5-minute stroll away, Centro de Artesanato da Praia dos Artistas sells local artisans' work, from handicrafts to regional foods. You're also convenient to downtown Natal, just a few minutes by cab. And it's a quick 16-kilometer (10-mile) jaunt down to Ponta Negra, popular for its beautiful beach and hopping nightlife.
Adventures outside Natal are just day trips from here, too. Head up to Genipabu, about a 40-minute drive, for dune buggy rides among the shifting sands. (Dune buggy drivers will offer you the option of rides "with emotion," and if you answer yes, they'll show you a screamingly good time with daredevil moves). Maracajau, about an hour and a half out of town, is a popular spot for snorkeling in the clear blue water.
Enjoy some downtime at Porto Suites Natal Hotel, where you can cool off in the pool, or just relax on the deck with soothing views of the coastline stretching out before you. The views are also a nice backdrop to regional seafood dishes at Aratu restaurant, offering indoor and outdoor seating.
The hotel conveniently offers a workstation with a computer for guest use, as well as 49 square meters of meeting facilities with a conference room and complimentary wireless Internet access. Free breakfast is served from 7 AM to 10 AM.
Guestrooms are also equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi so you can post photos of your Natal holiday. Unwind with cable channels on the 21-inch flat-screen TV. Private bathrooms come with showers. Rooms are also cribs, desks, minibar, and air-conditioned for extra comfort.
