Comfortable bed at an affordable price. Stayed 10 days so far, looking for a place to rent. No fridge, microwave and have to pay for wi-fi.
I use this motel often. Great service and pet friendly
It was clean and comfortable. Good value for the price. This is good place to crash by the roadside but not anything fancy. Missing lots of basics in the room like extra pillow/blanket or box of tissues. But the price was good despite that.
Easy access to the freeway, restaurants, and shopping sites. When the water was turned on in the bathtub before turning on the shower, it was extremely noisy, sounded like a jack hammer breaking concrete. Thin walls, could hear conversations and tv from adjoining room.,
Easy access to the freeway.
Cheap and where I needed to stay overnight. The most ridiculous process to check in, took forever. They charge for WIFI. No shampoo just bar soap. Tiny bathroom, hot water kept going cold after a few minutes of showering. No lock on bathroom door. Lots of stupid little stuff, seems clear Motel 6 is cutting corners, I will definitely just stay at one of the other MANY options in price range that provide WIFI, breakfast, and take pride in their property.
Location No iron and ironing board is a deal breaker. Was attending a funeral next day and needed to press my clothes. The staff's attitude was not helpful
Clean, inexpensive and comfortable The front desk staff member who was assisting guests that night was completely incompetent. I had never seen a line for checkin at 11:30pm until I came to this motel. It took ~1hour to get checked in to the hotel.
Modern room updates; nice pool. Very outdated pay for internet access...just add it to the room charge as a pseudo tax. Not every room has refrigerator and microwave; no amenities like coffee maker, shampoo. Staff and web site make no mention of differences in rooms except for size of beds.
It has what you need to crash for the night. Nothing special but has the necessities to get you through the night, and HBO. Signs every 15 feet saying not responsible for your car getting broken into. Also there were not one but two spiders in my room.
We've stayed here many times on our trips between Oregon and California. It's a half-way point for us. This time we were pleasantly surprised by the remodel! I think we were the first to stay in our completely remodeled room. I still wish they would put coffee makers in the rooms.
Smelled like old smelly socks and marijuana
No food you have to drive 10 minutes
I needed to stay an extra half an hour. After staying there 4 days. He insisted I pay $20
When I arrived on a Saturday evening, the office was closed, locked, lights out. A handwritten note gave a phone number to call, but I had no cell phone. I found another place to stay.
affordable. good location no coffee, has not been updated in approx. 30 years.
Decent bed and shower 70s style, saw some bugs
It was cheap for the price. The rooms are okay, once they switched out room from a spider/gnat infested room to a cleaner room. The room we checked in was infested with spiders/webs and gnats.
A lot of street noise not the place if you sleep light or wake easily. The fixtures are old and low quality. Bed was two box spring units not a mattress.
Staff was nice No wifi Bad area - unsafe at night Run down Do not recommend stay here
accommodating - we checked in around 1AM and the staff was pleasant as ever and quick to check me in. Bed was comfortable! There is a pool but we stayed in the wrong month to take advantage of it. No noise issues at the hotel at all. Simple checkout - just drop your key through the slot! "Vintage" feel to the hotel - like everything was from a 70's thrift shop. Sink didn't drain, and the inside was not what I would call luxurious.
Front staff was nice. Bed was comfortable. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! First, the lobby had a weird smell. The staff had to change our room # two times. The first room didnthave a TV that worked and a/c was broken. The second room door keylock was broken and we couldnt even get in. The third room only got one channel on the tv and wifi didnt work but the room was clean so we just stayed. the hotel is not secure. all side doors are unlocked from 6 am to 11pm. The pool area is filthy and not secure. Homeless woman was "getting cooled off". The pool itself was filthy. The hottub was in a small room and the screens in the room were missing so if you open the windows bugs come in. The hottub water was green and literally smelled like pond water! Obviously we didnt go in. The free breakfast was cold cereal. One bruised apple was in the fruit basket. I wish I could say I was exagerating but I am not. Dont stay here!!!!
Very up to date rooms. Very clean. Comfortable beds with 4 large fluffy pillows per bed! Stay in an end room next to exit that was supposed to be locked at 11 pm and it was not. Around midnight a group of people showed up and we're very very loud.
Good value, clean hotel Traffic noise
Upon check-in we were recommended the renovated rooms by the person working the front desk, though the rooms seem to be only up on the second floor for now. Only downside was there is no elevator so we had to haul our luggage up the flight of stairs. The room we stayed at looked nice and I liked the decor, though there is no carpet on the floor but what looked like laminate. The pool was nice and clean when we used it. The breakfast was ok. No hot food besides make-your-own waffles. The lady up front one breakfast though offered to fill up the waffle batter for a guest 10 minutes before breakfast was scheduled to end so that was shockingly nice to see! The major discomfort we had was hearing the doors slamming shut, especially during the early morning and night. It was annoying to hear the click-clack over and over again. The doors or walls must be thin. Plus, the carpets in the hallway look like they haven't been cleaned in a while.
They run your ID to stay here. Why is a hotel doing a background check for someone to stay a night in the hotel. Won't be staying at a hotel 6 ever again.
Nothing. This was a work trip that had been pre-paid as the employees traveling were not to pay for the motel. I had booked three rooms and paid for them through Kayak and when my team arrived at the motel we were not allowed to check in because one of the six people in the party did not have his I.D. After long discussions with the front desk and manager at the motel regarding their "policy" of not allowing anyone to stay in their motel who does not have an I.D. on their person we were forced to leave and make other motel arrangements in Redding. This was a great inconvenience to myself and my team and I will not be staying in any Motel 6 from here on out nor will I be using Kayak to reserve a room. We do a lot of traveling and this was the first time I have ever run into this problem. On the evaluation there was the following question: While traveling, you were a: solo traveler young couple mature couple family with young children family with older children group of friends None of these above answers applied to my situation. My group that was at the Motel was a "business group".
Clean, cheap, great ac. Mini frig, microwave. Nothing fancy, but totally fine for a quick overnight stop if all you need is a place to sleep. Convenient location near fwys, Starbucks & other good establishments. Outdated furnishings but hey.....it's a motel not a hotel!! Owner is extremely pleasant and friendly.
Manager tried to get extra $20 eventhough booking noted for four people and had given extra $ 10 for secondqueen bed in the room.
Good value for money
Nothing as stated above.
Stopped here on my way north. Clean, comfortable and felt safe. Those are all I really care about when traveling through. Pleasant staff. Would definitely stop here again when heading through Redding. Continental breakfast wasn't much to speak of.
It was close to where we needed to be The pool was a giant eye sore, the room seemed a tad overcrowded.
I arrived at about 2am, so it's understandable for a woman attendant to have a walk up check in window that late. She was really nice and made sure I wasn't disturbed. The room was not super but it was clean and there were no signs of bugs.
There was no soap. T.v. didn't work
This motel does look shabby on the outside as other reviewers noted, but was very clean inside. A plus was the good thick towels. Certainly not the 'Ritz' but fine for one night.
Inside the room was recently refurbished and painted. Very clean, all equipment in good order. Staff were very polite and kind, a very good family. The location was good. The room lacked a place to hang clothing, and lacked a refrigerator. The outside of the buildings appeared run down. Needs paint and plaster, pool out of order, pavement cracked. Noise from neighboring rooms was audible at night.
Nice staff easy early check in..quiet hotel It was peacefull
Great receptionist and the bathroom has been redone. No ice machine on premises or coffee machine in room.
everything was clean - room, bed, sheets the best you could expect for that price free wifi was nonexistent
It was clean and met my main needs. The outside of the motel was almost scary looking. The staff wasn't completely friendly and accomodating
It was reasonably clean. It is very very old and the maintenance is poor. Everything worked but the doors weren't operating freely on their hinges and patches have been done over patches. There is no real pet area.
There are microwave and refrigerator in each room. Hot water was not hot in room 25. No connection to Wi-Fi on cell phone and Ipad. We only could connect to Wi-Fi in our laptop.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
staff was very friendly and helpful blankets had cigarette holes, saw two cockraoches roaming around the room
Nothing stands out as really good. However, this is the second time I've stayed there and I might stay there again if I'm back in the area. Everything needed to be spruced up. Things were old and nicked. Example: Toilet seat (easy to replace) was full of deep scratches. The pool was like ice water. The breakfast was close to nothing at all. Two kinds of dry cereal, apple and orange juice, packaged cheap pastries, and apples. There were no pool towels but I was promised a replacement if I used a room towel. It never came. The young woman at the desk seemed very pleasant but she was often on a smoking break. The next morning a young man was at the desk. He seemed unattached to his work and had a couple of questionable friends hanging around.
