quite and calm
Brandnew hotel, very comfortable and modern, very nice pool areas, beautiful view, very comfortable rooms with wonderful beds and balcony, nice toiletry products in the bathroom, free items from the minibar, beautiful bar area and outdoors sitting space, well organised diving centre with helpful staff and beautiful diving/snorkeling possibilities, excellent food with large variety Main restaurant too noisy (awful disco-like background music) and too crowded; Tala Bay area still under construction, feels a little spooky although hotel area a wonderful haven
Food. Large rooms. Noisy (pools close to rooms except for the south wing part of the hotel). We could not change our room since the hotel was fully booked (groups spend one night there before going to Wadi Rum).
The time it takes for check in. Our reservation was wrong through boooking, but finally they resolve in one hour! No
Clean beach and nice facilities
Superior hotel with high focus on service and quality. great breakfast. Ideal place to finish our wonderful trip in Jordan.
The place is beautiful, staff very friendly and atmosphere relaxing. None
Restaurant red sea spoiled by plastic bags, Ac noise
Great Hotel, Wonderful service, Wonderful and attentive staff. Incredibly clean beach. although very beautiful and very scenic, outdoor hotel grounds (not including beach) are quite limited.
I would like to inform other people wjo want to stay in this hotel to be prepared for they picky security checking in this hotel. they will feel as they entering a melitery compus. bad treatment.
Fantastic service, very kind personnel, looks very new and clear It would be great if the beach team would clear not only bay line but and seabed in a swimming area of hotel
The panoramic view on the gulf of Akaba, the fish restaurant, the highleve of the services The noice, they are working and building the upper flores, so the loud noices of the builders ( hammering , drilling) starts at 06.30 early morning, if you want to sleep after noon you can't really
Nice setting The services were set out in a very confined space. The restaurants were limited and the food costs were very high for the fare available. A lot of noise travels between rooms and this is off-puttiing. Lots of kids at pool etc and can be very noisy
Kind, attentive, accomodating staff Needs momre diverse food facilities
This hotel is brand new and really is very beautiful. Grand opening was Nov. 15. It is modern and fantastic facilities. Room was wonderful and all room have full ocean view. Buffet breakfast was amazing. The room was uncomfortably hot. We complained about the temperature and to their credit the staff responded promptly and dispatched someone to fix it. Unfortunately, it was not fixed. I filed a complaint at check out the next day.
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Beautiful architecture and efficient, extremely friendly staff made this the perfect place to relax.
the beauty of the hotel makes you feel special...
Excellent service, classy hotel
The facilities were amazing. Breakfast very good. The staff was very kind.
we are upgraded to apartment, which is more comfortable, and easy to access the beach and swimming pools. sports activities are not well organized. we booked a cruise tour, but due to the wind and wave, we did not go to the reef garden, and did not do the snorkling. There should be some advise about weather forecast when we make the booking.
nice location, several different restaurants, nice beach area, large rooms, service is a bit slow ; they do not have anough pool towels
While we book a standard room, they gave us a very elegant 2-rooms suite with sea-view. It is an expensive hotel, but worth the money. I would gladly return at Movenpick, I think it's the best option in Aqaba. We really apreciated the heated pools and jacuzzi.
Friendly and helpful staff. The private beach. Although a little pricey the Red Sea Grill was excellent - but you pay your money and take your choice - I was very happy with my choice! Plus upgarde in room which was a nice surprise. The maid service (male cleaner, very personable and helpful) did need a little prompting at times but once prompted he reacted v efficiently.
the hotel is not bad but its old , the carpet is smilley and need to change ,i think the 5 star hotel also should use the LCD Tv , Also i dont know why they charge us a internet connection therir !!!! Mcdonalds the give it to you by free , why they didnt do it same !!!! finally i go there for a business trip , and i do my work , but for relax and enjoying i dont think so that i will make it again ...
The facilities were beautiful and well maintained and the staff was extraordinarily helpful and always in the background waiting to help.
Suprising location of the hotel (across the street); Heated pool on the roof of the over-street-bridge; very nice beach; very nice outdoor restaurant Old and small bathroom
we really enjoyed the hotel a lot, the staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms beautiful and spacious, all in all a great experience
This is a wonderful hotel! Great staff, great food, great location near the red sea. This hotel has everything!
Hotel pool & Beach
I did like the organization and the dedication of the staff to their jobs.
The rooms were very nice We had a horrible experience of food poisoning following our diner at InterContinental Aqaba. The hotel did not believe it was their food which caused the problem and we got absolutely no compensation.
Excellent service and breakfast buffet The beach and pool are constantly innundated w super loud dj'd clubbing music - not good and not relaxing. We asked them to stop/lower but apparently the 'beach customers' have requested entertainment. We sat on the far end of the beach near the kempimski and the music mostly faded away...
to have a relax time and nice beach nothing special
The Hotel is great all about everything the rooms are luxurious the water sports are near and easy to get the pool is very nice Burj Al Hamam resturant is also great so there is no need to go out of the hotel Some Employees can be rude sometimes
We liked the Red Sea beach and the various pools and hot tubs. The restaurants were also quite enjoyable.
the design and outlay of the hotel was very good. the pool and beach areas were excellent and the staff throughout the hotel were attentive and pleasant. The white wine in the mini bar was truly disgusting; such a shame as there are so many good Jordanian wines available eg: St George's that would reflect the excellent quality of most Jordanian wines
The rooms are good The service was poor and prices high.
the beach was nice and clean the staff are not qualified..., they are aggressive and impolite
All the different facilities avialable for ones use. None
Nice weather ,, and nice place and near to Beach and have a nice swiming pool They charge me jd 20 for only 1 hour late check out .. this is first time in my live I charged for late check out
Proximity to the Red Sea, nice pool Horrible service, staff was rude and not receptive to my needs
the hotel design, the hotel atmosphere, the swimming pool very nice and beautiful and the hotel cleanliness. its not allowed to bring anything like water or juice or chocolate or nuts (foods and drinks in general) with you to the hotel.
Food is not good
Location, Pool, spa Room service spilt a drink in my bed, took 2 and a half hours for house keeping ro ruen up and it was midnight before they did. Not happy, I wanted an early night.
enjoyed stay, large pool, Very family hotel, lots of children.20 minutes drive to town. When organizing taxi the staff member was not informative and tried to charge us for taxi fare of 20j.d, however we later found out that the hotel runs a shuttle to the town every morning!!why not just tell us.
The hotel is centrally located and easy to find. Local shopping, restaurants, mosque and the public beach access are all within 5-10 minutes walking distance. There's even a scuba diving rental/tour shop nearby. There's a children's school right across the street. If you are not an earlier riser, then the sound of a large group of children playing may interrupt your sleeping in.
The hotel is situated in the middle of the town. So convenient. Our room was very clean and tidy. Staff was helpful and very polite. I have forgot some cash, my mobile and my watch in the bedside. They tried to contact me by e-mail and I got back everything. You must try the roof pool and the bar on the top. This place is highly recommended.
Our interaction with the Hotel Manager, Mr. Othman was excellent. He was kind enough to listen and understand our problems and take necessary corrective action. The reception staff, Mr. Zayed & Mr. Saif were also polite and helpful, but obviously had their limitations. We had booked 2 Junior Suites and had clearly asked for No Smoking rooms. We were given Smoking rooms, and upon complaint to the staff they first tried to duck the issue and then showed us a room on the 2nd floor that neither had carpets nor wood floor and was extremely basic. Even the closet for hanging clothes did not have any door or covering!!! When we refused to take it, they showed us other room but asked for almost 30% extra. It took quite a lot of time and negotiation which was frustrating to finally negotiate a price. The rooms were basic - did not have a dresser with mirror, drawers etc. Though the breakfast was OK, it did not do justice to a hotel of its grade. Our request for omelettes or hot milk seemed a big hassle to staff
After a month of budget hotels, this Days Inn was real luxury. The room was too small for the furniture but very nice and comfortable. Super clean. Very comfy bed. Good breakfast buffet. Balcony. Quiet. I did not use internet here, cheaper at internet cafes.
Great location, right in the heart of Aqaba's newest developments, with loads of great restaurants on the doorstep. Maybe it was because it was low season, but there were few staff and most hotel facilities were closed or unattended. As confirmed by other guest reviews, the pool-top bar appears to be a myth, as are the towels, pool attendants - in fact, only the pool itself is in fact there (while small, the pool is actually fine). It was a soul-less place, and there's definitely better value for money to be had in Aqaba.
Lots of cafes and restaurants close by. 10 minute walk to the North Beach. As well, from there a 10 minute bus ride to the South Beach.
I found the staff did not notice we were there and the pool was green, a man went to clean it but it was still green the next day
The hotel was well located, had friendly and helpful staff and was good value for money. The rooms were particularly well presented with adequate facilities you would expect from a good hotel. Unfortunately, there was a constant bad smell eminating from the floor drain. The only way to alleviate this was to place the shower floor mat over the drain with limited success.
the room was large and nice, they include some complementary fruit too.The breakfast was varied.would recommend it. n/a
Grey sheets and towels, mould on bathroom curtains, unpleasant smell in the bathroom, noisy airconditioner, bad breakfast. 4 stars not deserved at all.
Room was very nice - good furniture, clean, good localization, very small swimming pool with very, very cold water openning only for 5 pm, for me not for using, breakfast was very poor, not fresh especially bread, no fruits.
From my arrival to departure, the staff of the Golden Rose hotel made me feel at home. The facilities were very clean and well-kept, wi-fi worked perfectly and it is located right in the downtown area of Aqaba only a few blocks from the beach. It's an ideal place to stay if you are going snorkeling since the guys at the reception will be able to point you to the best spots around Aqaba. I strongly recommend this hotel for travelers both young or older looking for an adventure in the Red Sea and a safe place to stay for less.
excelent staff. Good diving spot Cost of breakfast and local tax were not included in rate.
Friendly; good value; basic but comfortable; air conditioned; wirless internet; hot water showers. Long walk to the beach...good if you have a car.Very limited menu.
location far from sea, need cap to go there.hotel is small and if you want to call them no land line only cell phone and no one answering.no decent restaurant.
All the staff were most welcoming and helpful. I got lifts to the beach and they offered to take me to Aqaba or get me what I needed. I liked that the place was peaceful, quiet and safe for a lone female traveller.
Everything! I expected so much worse after looking at the web site but in actual fact it was a great little place!!! we all loved our stay there and wished it was longer!
The nice clean room, the wifi and the fine simple service.
I liked the location relatively close to a fine beach with great snorkel water just 50 meter from the beach. More hotels close by with restaurants. 10-12 from Aqaba city and a taxi could be done for 4JD one way. The rooms had a ok size. I can recommend the breakfast - 3JD. There are other hotels closer to the beach. This is about 10 min walk.
very clean rooms not to big and not to small. The staff worked well with everyone. I did not like the fact that one reason for going to IADV was for the understanding the rooms had wireless internet. After checking in and going to my room to find I did not have wireless in my room which made it a little hard to do my work while playing and resting.
Very clean and new. Family run! No pool (yet as they say). Good if you are diving, for longer stay without diving a bit too simple. No pool (but will build one they said).
the hotel was clean and the staff try to be helpful even with a poor english. The menu was to simple. It is far from the beach and we needed to fix an hour with someone for the pickup . the menu.to far from the beach.
Good location - 1 min drive to the sea (or 15m walk) and nice view of Gulf of Aqaba. Hotel staff is very friendly, you feel like you are staying with your old friend rather than a hotel. Rooms are very clean, parking is no problem, breakfast is nice and the whole area (including pool) is well maintained and looked after. Good choice if you want to try diving/snorkeling - you easily rent necessary equipment and they can arrange an introductory dive - all for a reasonable price, also they've showed us good snorkeling sites. everything was great!
It is a nice place , no noise , good service as well as reasonable price.
Their diving facilities are very good. The walk to the beach is a bit far.
The hotel is very new so everything sparkles. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very close to diving/snorkeling areas. If you want to be close to the downtown of Aqaba this isn't the place for you. But it is very close to the diving/snorkeling areas.
The staff was helpful, the rooms clean and the hotel conveniently located to the city center.
Good location, near to the center and the airport. Very friendly. Modern Room.
no many things
excellent location: ATM, money exchange, alcohol shop (very important thing in Muslim countries!), good rent a car agent, good free parking place are within 100 meters from the doors. Very reasonable location in the town in common.. rather expensive furniture in the room, the room looks pretty good and pretend to be higher level than expected, restroom is ok as well, but cheap shower cabin which looks and works not good (although it works). Also water from air condition drops and damages expensive furniture. In brief: good common renovation but bad current maintenance.
Room and balcony was very comfortable The time taken for internet access
Lovely hotel with a good restaurant!
size of the room. Clean.
