Unfortunately, we have to echo many of the negative reviews left by others. We paid for a king room, they gave us a queen without saying anything. Upon arrival, we were immediately disappointed: the lobby area was less-than-inviting, front desk was rude, but we thought we would try to give it a shot, so we proceeded with check-in. From there, things got worse: the elevator door wouldn't close, hallways smelled bad (like greasy food), there were stains on bed sheets. We went back downstairs and gave them back the room key. Since our room was non-refundable, we called Wyndham corporate and asked for a full refund, explaining that the property was completely unacceptable. Received a call back the next day and they agreed to refund our money. Parking is also terrible in this area, but that wasn't the main dealbreaker for us - you pay to park in their lot, but then they do not guarantee the space will be available again if you need to leave and come back. They also said they charge multiple times if you need to leave and come back.
The hotel was new, clean and well kept. The gym was fine for a hotel gym and I liked the idea of going to the sauna. It's not in a very nice location in Brooklyn, and the walls are pretty thin. I was concerned about getting a good nights rest but I was able to sleep well once things quieted down after 10 pm.
The price was reasonable and the premises new and clean (the bed sheets smelled clean and fresh, the cushions were firm and ample) The location in Brooklin counterbalances the price but the subway is really only 150 feet away. Some comments on booking.com mention a not-so-friendly staff. But I liked them. They were not there to entertain their guests, but they were effective and practical in their job, they answered our questions, helped and solved our problems. Carry on like this!! I wanted to leave a smelly and dusty hotel in Manhattan (also booked on booking.com !!) and I fortunately found bw Plus Prospect available with very little notice. The comments on booking.com reflected well what we found, so I was not displeased to find that the room was small for 4 and that the breakfast room was also small. But no big deal. We were really happy to find this alternative. It saved our holiday in nyc.
Location, service Room is extremely compact with barely any room to maneuver and beds were just full size, not Queen as advertised.
We appreciated the onsite parking! Not having to worry about where you are parked and whether you will get a ticket after a certain hour was a relief. Although we did not have to utilize the parking this trip, it is great to know it is available for $25 a night (far less than a standard parking ticket or tow). The front desk staff were pleasurable and very helpful. The hotel is convenient to several places we were visiting as well as markets and dining. Due to a last minute change, we did not get to utilize the room after all, however, I know where we will stay the next time we visit Brooklyn. Nothing!
comfortable and clean accommodations. eating area for breakfast needs somehow to increase number of tables for the crowd that hit the area for breakfast. We were there 3 mornings and at different times each day and each day there were people waiting for tables.
This is definitely not a luxury hotel. But it is a fine place to stay at a very reasonable rate. It is very convenient to the subway. The staff is very helpful. There is a grocery store right next door. Staff was greater and liked that parking was only $25 overnight which is unheard of in New York City.
The room was extremely tight & small.
Central to our desired location Breakfast was supposed to be served at 6:30am. Had to leave for a meeting and it still wasn't served by 6:45am. Attitude of breakfast staff was blasai, It was coming, be patient. Our room had a terrible roar of what sounded like air handling equipment and an elevator rumble all rolled into one and it was unrelenting, so sleeping was a challenge. Door access card wouldn't work. Repeatedly had to call maintenance or get another card reprogrammed. Shower barely worked because the diverter was faulty. Most water went out the bath filler. Wouldn't return.
very friendly and helpful staff. couldnt check in early but they watched my luggage all day. and there is no ice machine on every floor but they were willing to bring ice to my room. very knowledgeable of area and pointed out some nice sites and places to eat. neighborhood is going thru some renewal but wasnt as bad as downtown brooklyn so cant complain.
Cozy and clean. Modern and hip look. Friendly staff. Easy access Breakfast wasn't the best. Bagels were old everyday. We ended having breakfast elsewhere the last 2 days.

I enjoyed the comfortable bed, courteous staff, and ample parking. There were a few items missing from the room that the staff were happy to replace. People smiled and were always willing to answer your questions or help you in some way. I enjoyed that there was a desk in the room so that I could get some work done as this was a business trip. The WiFi also worked great and I did not have to worry about the signal dropping. The hotel and surrounding area was extremely quiet for the city which was nice. The subway is only 2 blocks away. There was no coffee maker in my room as pictured and the continental breakfast was just bagels and waffles.

Location was good for where we needed to be. Parking was a fair price. The room was a good rate for the area. The area appeared safe. Cleanliness was not their strong point. Staff was on the unprofessional side, they acted as if it was an inconvenience to do their job. The elevator got stuck multiple times. It seemed like everything in the hotel was broken or breaking. You needed a breakfast voucher for breakfast, which was a few pieces of toast. The staff was asleep behind the front desk, literally under a blanket asleep.
The location is convenient and the room decor is pleasant, but I would recommend avoiding this place until they get new management. TL;DR: Damp, dirty towels. Broken elevator. Hard bed. Awful smell. No room cleaning during the week. 1: Cleanliness - The towels in the room were damp. When I called and requested a fresh set of towels, they weren't sure if they had any. Belongings from a previous guest were still in the room. The bed was made, but I'm not even sure if we had clean sheets. They at least appeared clean. I thought it was odd that there was no "do not disturb" or "privacy please" or "cleaning requested" sign to hang on the door. I was less surprised about this when we noticed the room cleaning service never came during the week (they came Friday only). 2: Elevator broken. We had to haul our heavy luggage to the 4th floor at 2am after 8 hours of travel. Not fun. Broken elevator seems to be a recurring problem. They should have hotel staff available to carry bags when the elevator is broken. 3: Comfort. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Woke up with a sore back and neck every day. A warm shower would have been nice but... 4: Smell. Oh my god the smell. The bathroom smelled so horrible. Using the vent made it worse. Running water made it worse. Using the bathroom at all made it worse. Gross.
I liked the overhead shower and the overall aesthetic of the room: wood laminate flooring, nice art piece, and did I say the shower. also it is really close to a subway stop and some nice dive bars were in walking distance. the bed was sort of stiff but some folks like that (I didn't). although I really liked the bathroom my particular unit only had shampoo available and lime scale on the ceiling. I good cleaning would have taken care of that. I asked for the liquid soap to shower with and never got it. I was only there for two nights so I just used the small hand soap. the speaker system didn't work in my room which is something they boast about. also Netflix wouldn't work on the tv and yes even when trying to put in my account info. the walls had a few scuff marks from luggage scrapes so again a good cleaning with a magic eraser could clean that. overall a little more care to cleanliness would have been nice but it wasn't dirty by any means.
Some of the rooms offered at this hotel feature free cancellation; however you have to cancel 48 hours in advance, not the 24 that is standard. They stuck me with a room charge despite the fact that the room I reserved would easily be rented on a Friday night in New York City. I travel to New York frequently, but I'll never stay in this hotel after this experience.
The only good thing about the hotel was its location in proximity to Barclays. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!!! I basically was charged for a place to keep my bags while at an event at Barclays. The hotel was overbooked, understaffed, and unprofessional. I was placed in a room without air, without an iron, and without a decent shower. The hotel staff (one person) stated that "at least [our] room is clean, because a lot of times the girl will just sign off on it". The manager was conveniently unavailable the entire time, and now refuses to uphold the promises made by her staff. I wouldn't even book this hotel for someone I hated.
The Internet kept losing connection, which prevented me from getting work done at the end of the day. Other than that, I liked the place.

The value for such an expensive city was better than expected. The area seemed safe and the staff were prompt at changing our room when our TV didn't work in our initial room. The only negative is that there is nothing in the immediate area so you would have to travel to anywhere you would like to go. There is a Subway station within a quarter mile, however this only carries the R line which is an all stopping train that enters Manhattan at the very Southern tip so it can take 30-40 minutes to get to Empire State Building area. However, once again, for the price it was very good.

The room is clean. The bed is confortable. And I like the coffee machines and free tea. Breakfast not tasty.
Front desk employees were helpful and nice. Called for a driver to take us wherever we needed. Cab driver had no idea where Coney Island was (what kind of cabbie doesn't know Coney island?) The sheets on the bed still had stains on them. The shower leaked large amounts of water onto the bathroom floor. The shower head fell off after barely touching it. The ATM was down aND the only other option was 3 blocks away. No cab drivers new the location of the hotel.
The location. The breakfasts are meager. Only 2 choices of cereal, and only 1 fruit. No hot food. Coffee is not bad, though.

Nice & clean and Good value for money, near to subway station. Most of the staff were helpful apart from the older guy when I first arrived who was abrupt and unhelpful, which you could do without after a 3,000 mile journey when I friendly welcome would be nice!!

Few things... The furniture in the hotel is new, but the room is not confortable... the space in the room is very narrow. The bathroom is the only thing that I like... and the breakfast. The room was very narrow! O request to staff to change my room, but they were not polite and rude! I defenitely do not reserve another night there!
The hotel did not have record of the price that I had booked the room at. It wasn't until I produced my booking .com acknowledgement that they were acknowledged the price. They wantwed to charge me $40.00 more per night for the room.
The place needs work. The room was musty and the carpet was matted and felt dirty under foot.
It was a great hotel for the $, considering the prices of hotels in Manhanntan.
IT was fine other than the lack of cleansliness There were bed bugs in the mattress. The sheets had hairs in them. The shower did too. Enough said I think.
Booking was fast easy and accurate There were filthy used condoms in our room that my seven year old daughter discovered and no one has returned my call to resolve this issue yet!
